oh god I absolutely love the Cainsville audiobooks!!! I just got through the first three!!!

It’s running VERY behind. Sorry! There was a miscommunication with the publisher. But Audible is recording both Betrayals and Rituals now, and they’re both expected out in October.

Betrayals Preorder Giveaway

We’re on book 4 in the Cainsville series (Betrayals), so I wanted to do something to thank readers for their support. I’ve written a new Cainsville novella and a new story, and I’ve commissioned the first-ever character portraits. I’ve added a recently published story and packaged it all up as an exclusive preorder giveaway e-book.

And preorder isn’t the only way to get one. If you buy the book on release week (Aug 9-15) or reserve it from your library before August 15, you qualify.

Cainsville Tales comes in mobi, epub and PDF format. It's over 150 pages & contains:
- original cover art by Xaviere Daumarie Cainsville Tales by Kelley Armstrong
- The Orange Cat: Gabriel story based on Poe’s The Black Cat, originally in Nevermore
- Bad Publicity: a new Patrick story
- Lady of the Lake: a new Liv & Ricky novella (set right after Deceptions)
- full color portraits for Olivia, Gabriel, Ricky, Patrick & Rose, by Xaviere Daumarie
- first chapters of Rituals, the final Cainsville novel
- contest for a bound copy of Rituals…once it’s edited

To claim your freebie, we just need some proof of preorder or purchase or placement on a library waiting list. Any format counts: hardcover, e-book or audio (if available.)

Proof can be a forwarded e-mail receipt, a scanned receipt, a photo of a receipt, a screenshot showing preorder status or waiting list placement…really, just anything that says “Look, I’ve preordered/bought/reserved Betrayals!”

Got that piece of proof? Send it to Alison at mail@kelleyarmstrong.com

Alison will send back a code that will allow you to download whichever format you want (or all 3 if you like.) The mobi file should work for Kindle, the epub for Nook, Kobo, iBooks & Google Books, and the PDF on laptops/computers/tablets/phones etc.

If you don’t receive your code within 48 hours of sending your proof, contact us again or notify me on Goodreads, Twitter or Facebook. More than 48 hours means we didn’t get it!

Giveaway is international. Closes August 15.

Missing cover reveal

No, I’m not missing a cover reveal. That’s the problem with having a book that was retitled “Missing” :)

So Missing is my 2017 YA novel, previously known as “Reeve’s End” :) Like The Masked Truth, this one’s a standalone thriller. It’ll be out next April, As for what it’s about, the synopsis is below.

And, yes, I’ve been terribly quiet on Tumblr. I’ve been quiet most places on social media, deep in writing and revisions, but Tumblr has gotten the worst of my inattention. I will be trying to catch up on my questions–I’m making a note to do that. Sorry!

***

Winter Crane has exactly one thing to look forward to in Reeve’s End: leaving it. Like her best friend did. Like her sister did. Like most of the teens born in town have done. There’s nothing for them there but abandoned mines and empty futures. They’re better off taking a chance elsewhere.

The only thing Winter will miss is the forest. Her only refuge. At least it was. Until the day she found a boy–a stranger–left for dead.

But now he’s gone too. And he has Winter questioning what she once thought was true. What if nobody left Reeve’s End at all? What if they’re all missing?

***

I love your book darkest powers and it’s getting me into reading a lot so that’s good! But I forget which book this was in but I remember darek saying he hates cats and that makes me sad, do you think he will ever learn to love cats

LOL It’s more a case of “cats don’t like him” because he’s a werewolf. He’s learned to be wary of them. Chloe will need to get him a kitten, raise it to be accustomed to his smell ;)

Hey there. First time caller, long time fan. You’ve probably had this question often, but in Haunted you mention three werewolves. A pirate werewolf, one in Alaska, and then one in serial killer hell. I’m guessing that the Pirate Werewolf was Daniel from B

Nope, it was just Daniel. Good catch! It’s an Easter egg that many readers don’t pick up–there’s no way for Eve to know who Daniel Santos is, so she can’t ID him in the book :)

Hi Kelley! I just finished City of the Lost yesterday and it was phenomenal. My copy went straight to my all-time-favorites shelf. While I was reading I couldn’t help but think how amazing it would be if this was a TV show. I think Kristin Kreuk would make

I’m certainly hoping for more! It’s being positioned as a series, so the publishers expect it’ll be more than two…I just never say anything definitively until I’ve signed a contract. But I’ll be starting to write book 3 next month, so that’s a sign that I’m confident it’ll continue :)
