Spotify Adds 1,000 Audiobooks from 100 Publishers Distributed by Ingram - Publishers Weekly

Today, our speedy kitty pilot Panzer made a trip to the Publishers Weekly site. There with just a tiny bit of digging in the posts, he found one about Spotify.
According to Ed Nawotka's post, Spotify has added 1,000 audiobooks from its partner Ingram's distribution catalog to the company's Premium list. Spotify says the company wants to help small and independent publishers and authors find a wider audience.
Panzer says, "This little kitty wants to know how much the authors will be paid for the new Ingram Spotify partnership."

75 Calls for Submissions in August 2024 - Paying Markets - Publishing ... and Other Forms of Insanity

It's the end of July and Panzer found the Publishing ... and Other Forms of Insanity site has a list of the calls for submissions for August available.
Erica Verrillo's post is a list of 75 sites open for submission in August. The listed sites accept submissions of nonfiction, fiction and poetry. Some have an opening date of August 1 and some have a closing date of August 1.
Panzer says,"You better hurry for those ones with a closing date of August 1 (tomorrow)!"
Note:Since there are 75 open markets on the list, this is a long post.

Giving Women Their Due - The Rap Sheet

Panzer made a quick trip to The Rap Sheet today. With a little digging in the posts our inquisitive kitty found one about the Sisters in Crime Australia Davitt Awards.
J. Kingston Pierce's post has the shortlist for the crime and mystery Adult Novels category. The awards are for Australian authors. There are seven novels on the list. The post includes a link to a post with the other categories for the awards.
Panzer says, "This little kitty didn't know about this award, but Mom says she did."

24 Awesome Writing Conferences and Workshops in August 2024 - Publishing ... and Other Forms of Insanity

Today Panzer was taking his afternoon when he was shaken from his kitty bed by clapping coming from the Catosphere. Jumping in the Panzermobile, our brave kitty boy followed all the noise to the Publishing ... and Other Forms of Insanity site. There he discovered a post was causing all the noise.
Erica Verrillo's post lists 24 conferences and workshops for writers in August. Each entry in the list has a link to more information and how to register. The conferences and workshops are for fiction, nonfiction and poetry writers so be sure to read the guidelines before registering.
Panzer says, "The first one on the list had a registration date from last month so you can skip it."
