95 Calls for Submissions in September 2024 - Paying Markets - Publishing ... and Other Forms of Insanity

Panzer says, You should be able to find something useful on the list. You should be able to find something useful on the list.
Here's Panzer's last post for the day. This one is about the Publishing ... and Other Forms of Insanity site.
Erica Verrillo's list for submissions for September has 95 markets. These are markets for fiction and nonfiction in all genres. The list only contains paying markets.
Panzer says, "With 95 markets there must be something for everyone."
Note: This is a humongous list. You'll need to decide what to bring to snack on while you read.

Shamus Success - The Rap Sheet

Panzer says, It takes a sense of humor to enjoy my work. It takes a sense of humor to enjoy my work.
At The Rap Sheet site Panzer found information about the Private Eye Writers of America (PWA).
 J. Kingston Pierce's post contains a list of the PWA's Shamus Awards winners which were announced at Bouchercon in August. The list also includes all the nominees.

Panzer says, "You might notice there's no mention of a certain kitty's Mom in the list."

Note: This is a short-medium length post. A cup of tea should be enough for your snack while you read.

Simon and Schuster Australia Aquires Affirm Press - Publishing Perspectives

Panzer says, Whenever I have a day off, I spend a week catching up. Whenever I have a day off, I spend a week catching up.
Because of the Labor Day holiday here in the US, Panzer's news reporting is all kittywumpus. So, our speedy little kitty boy will try to get caught up today. His first stop is at the Publishing Perspectives site.
According to Porter Anderson's post, Simon and Schuster has signed an agreement to acquire independent publisher Affirm Press. This allows Simon and Schuster to increase their Australian footprint size. Several links to other information are included in the post.
Panzer says, "This little kitty wants to know what changes they'll make later."
Note: This is a long post. Bring a cup of tea and a muffin to snack on while you read.

A Monday Panzerism

 Panzer on board games:
I love playing checkers with Mom and What's His Name.
Especially the part where the noble jungle kitty sneaks through the tall carpet grass. He waits patiently.
Panzer says, You're free. Fly away! You're free. Fly away!*
He slithers forward ...and ...pounces on the checker board where all the plastic pieces take flight ...
like ...
a herd of butterflies.
