Your Gifts Are Waiting For You
what is yours cannot be denied to you. universal house rules.
Joel Leon
Your gift makes room for you.
Your purpose makes room for you.
They cannot be denied
What do you love doing, creating, getting involved in?
That is where you start
It may or may not make you a million bucks but trust me it will make you happy, it will bring you joy. That happiness and joy will transfer onto other areas of your life making you an all-round nice person to be around for yourself and others.
Fighting to have what some one else has, I have learnt is a complete waste of time. Your gifts are waiting for you, your blessings are waiting on you. It sits in trust until you are ready to do the work, to show up, to believe, to know that challenges will come, to rest when tired.
Are you ready?
Peace

Life rewards the Doers and the Prioritizers too
Life rewards the doers, that much is true. But life also rewards those who prioritize what's actually worth doing.
Bianca Bass
I have banished to-do lists, it does not work for me.I would feel particularly stressed out about them especially when there were no ticks next to the tasks set out on the page.
I then started doing a Monthly Check in- this was a little different because I started off writing down how I wanted to feel - Joyful, Peaceful, Abundant, Courageous.
I started the check in on that note, but I found myself continuing to do lists.
No more lists! With the acceptance that there are things that I want to do in a particular time frame that I am unable to and that is alright!
It is not a testament of my worth, or my productivity. If the items on the list cannot be done today, there is a reason and probably a lesson.
Worth does not factor into the equation at all.
What I have learnt is, we may not be able to ever do everything we want to do all at the same time and that is OK!
Peace

It's an Inside Job
Never make anyone else responsible for your happiness
. Iyanla Vanzant
Happiness is an inside job. I have read that, I have heard that but I have never really felt that until now. The responsibility for my happiness lies with me.
When I depended on external events and people for happiness, I was left wanting. If they did not do the thing that "would make me happy" I would be sad.
If my football team won I would be happy, if they lost I would be in such a foul mood.
If the weather was warm- happiness, if it was not- sourness!
So confusing to my system.
I was willing to make my happiness my own job, it took some practice but this is what I did:
1. I wrote down what make me happy that I could do for myself when sliding in the pool of sourness
2. I practised what was on the list - every day I did one thing that made me happy
3. I let go of the result, of wanting things my way when I have no control, things like the weather, the football game - nothing to do with me. The football took some practice though I must admit
Those 3 simple steps truly changed my outlook and of course my mood.
I think it was more than just me that benefited from the shift!
Peace

You Are Your Best Guide
“Practice listening to your intuition, your inner voice; ask questions; be curious; see what you see; hear what you hear; and then act upon what you know to be true. These intuitive powers were given to your soul at birth.”
― Clarissa Pinkola Estés, Women Who Run With the Wolves: Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype
Yesterday I was reading one of my favourite authors Carolyn Myss.
Have you ever had one of those penny dropping moments where you see something or hear something and it all comes together and makes sense on so many levels?
Carolyn Myss spoke about intuition, the absolute importance of following and being led by our inner guidance.
Our inner guidance gives us signs, so that we are never really truly blind sided by all the events that happen in our lives. Our habits as human beings is that we look for the logic and the certainty in the guidance and signs.
Intuition cannot come to knock on your door and tell you what is happening or going to happen. We want to know exactly what is going to happen, what is going on and when.
It simply does not work that way.
We are more in tuned with our intuition when we are in-tuned with our inner guidance
Getting in tuned requires, quiet time, trust in self, faith in the process and importantly courage to take the steps particularly when there is zero indication that it will work.
Many of the most successful people in their field point to the fact that their gut feelings, their intuition pointed them to that book to write, that call to make, that deal to enter into.
What I took away from Carolyn's reading yesterday is this:
Your intuition, is like truth serum. You often do not like what it communicates to you but you cannot force it to say otherwise. You can create methods of temporary distraction – that’s certainly true. But in the end, intuitive hits win out, because the truth one strives to repress finds a way of incarnating within the events of one’s life.
You are your best guide, that is simply just the truth

Forgive Yourself First
It’s necessary to forgive yourself for what you did when you were still living in survival mode.
Virgo Goddess
I forgive myself for:
-settling for less than what I know know know I deserve
-ignoring my intuition -following the crowd & coming off my divine path
-putting everything & everyone before me, my health, my purpose -self neglect
-basing my worth on what others think is worthy
-making decisions based on fear - what would other's say, think, do, feel
-accepting other people's bad behaviour - dreaming small
I forgive..
Start with self. Then proceed as required
Peace

How Big Are You Dreaming?
Nothing you undertake with certain purpose and high resolve and happy confidence, holding each other's hand and keeping step to Heaven's song, is difficult to do
. ACIM
How big are you dreaming?
Are you even dreaming at all?
Are you visioning what you want your life to be like, feel like, look like?
This weekend I was so inspired by Tyler Perry, the American movie mogul who was at one time homeless and living out of his car.
no one was coming to his plays that he spent all his money producing, he kept going and today some years later he owns one of , if not the biggest movie studio's in the country
I was reminded to dream bigger, to keep going, to believe in myself like no one else willI was also reminded that there are no shortcuts, nothing beats persistence, discipline and determination and there will be tough days!
Thank you Tyler Perry for the timely reminder
Peace

Practising Gratitude Prevents Resentment
Most times, the reason why you think you’re lacking is you really just didn’t take the time to be grateful for that which you already are
. —drcrystaljones
It took me a while to learn or shall I say accept, that being grateful for what we have does not mean that we don't crave more, want better and want to improve.
Being grateful for what we have is saying to the Universe that we honour where we are in this moment and respect all that happened that got us there. That we are ready to receive more because we can handle what we have in front of us with love and respect.
Gratitude shifts your mindset. It grounds you to start doing better, being better and acceptance because your mood says I have. You start on I have a foundation to build upon something
Rather than I have nothing
If you believe that you have something, your approach changes.
If you believe that you are enough your approach changes
Gratitude is a great multiplier.
The moment I got that being gratitude does not stop me from growing I started moving differently
My gratitude journal is so important to me, I write in it daily, it come be very mundane things, or huge things. Sometimes I am grateful for a sweet slice of watermelon, sometimes it may be for an opportunity that presents itself that I prayed hard for, sometimes I say thank you for the challenges that will inevitably turn into lessons.
I write what I am grateful for NOW and what are my gratitude Intentions daily before I leave the house..
Writing the gratitude list puts me in a frame of mind to build, to be joyful and to accept knowing that I have things in my life which already contribute to me joy and peace.
Ingratitude leads to resentment because we see the lack
Write 5 things that you are grateful for and see how it shifts the energy within you
tell me what happened after, I am curious!
Peace

Acceptance Brings Us Back to the Now
When you stop obsessing over the things you can’t control, you’ll realize the universe is and has always been working with you and not against you. Get out of your own way, redirect your focus and energy, align with what flows.
Boi Mc Coy
Last night after a late meeting my car would not start. I sat there and continued to start it over and over again, no luck. I wanted to kick something!
When I finally accepted that there was nothing more that I could do on my own and I definitely could not start the car, my mind turned to finding a solution to the issue. How do I either get the car or get home?
Acceptance moves us from wanting the situation to be different than what it really is to knowing that the situation is here and a choice must be made.
Acceptance moves us away from the fear.
When the car could not start I went immediately into fear, because I was in an underground car park. I thought about how much money would it take to repair it and how this was not budgeted at all.
As soon as I accepted that this is what it is, I knew I did not have to have the solutions to all of that tonight. What I had to do was find a way to get home and to get food!
Acceptance brings us back to the now
Projecting into the future when we are not sure sends us sometimes into a spiral of what if's!
Now is really all that we have
I called the Roadside assistance to come out, start the car and I got home safely.
this morning I had to call the battery people to come to the house to change the battery!
Give thanks
Peace!

Circumstances Do Not Make You
Your unhappiness ultimately arises not from the circumstances of your life but from the conditioning of your mind.
Eckhart Tolle
Yesterday I had the opportunity to share lessons on the Journey at a school achievement day in Biche. Biche is in the middle of our island, some 2 hours drive away from where I live. It was my first time going to Biche. Yesterday we spoke about how all the dots connect, this was a perfect example of how they do. The teacher who asked me, I met as a young student who wanted some work experience, back in my previous accounting life. She was hired and we hit it off, she went off to University and I never saw her after that.
Randomly at a show I bump into her and she told me that she had graduated from University and teaches at a Secondary School. A few months later she asks if I can come speak at her school finding me through Facebook, of course!! I took the opportunity to see a new place, to support her and to share lessons on the Journey.
The Achievement day was reflective of her - giving those who have improved and those who show promise recognition and motivation to continue
Being from a rural area sometimes plays on young people's minds, there such a pull to the City, it is important to reinforce that there are positives where they are and they are not defined by where they come from.
Yesterday we spoke about defining and charting their own path rather than following the status quo
I give thanks for the opportunity to share the lessons on the Journey
Peace
