July we journey with Courage

You learn that the journeywas never about that, anyway; it’s only ever been about strengthening yourselffrom the inside out. Training your mind to be more conscious of what itentertains. To act not out of compulsion or obligation, but true choice—out ofself-preservation, and self-love. Briana Wiest

In many of Maya Angelou's impactful messages, she extols the virtue of Courage. Courage, she says, "courage is the most important of all the virtues, because without courage you can't practice any other virtue consistently. You can practice any virtue erratically, but nothing consistently without courage"

With this in mind, I begin July with the intention to be courageous, with an affirmation:

May I bring my best self to the table in  all that I do and in my life.

May I have the courage to shine, regardless of whom that might make uncomfortable (including myself).

May I operate as a total pro and have tons of fun while I do it.

May my willingness to step into the version of magnificence that the Most High has sent me here with, while being able to have fun in process inspire others to do the same.

Peace and Blessings

Who holds the responsibility?

What you run from will chase you Danielle La Porte

 Who holds it?

Who do you believe holds the responsibility for what goes on in your life? - responsibility being the ability to respond.

Who do you believe holds the responsibility ( the ability to respond) for your feelings?

Who do you believe holds the responsibility ( the ability to respond) for your joy?

Who do you believe holds the responsibility (the ability to respond)  for your sorrow?

Who do you believe holds the responsibility (the ability to respond) for your ability to forgive?

Who do you believe holds the responsibility (the ability to respond) for your decisions?

choice, forgiveness, decisions, healing, thoughts, feelings - who do you believe holds the responsibility in YOUR life for it?

 Peace and Blessings

Living in harmony takes accountability

Is there harmony in what you say and what you do? Mama Bello

I was scrolling Social Media - as I do these days! And I came across a reel that talked about when we do not fully commit in all areas - words, actions and thoughts, we will remain in the same position or our growth will stagnate.

I immediately started to think about the times I tell myself that I want or don't want something and I act the total opposite.

I thought about how much I tell people I will do something and I really don't feel it or I know will not act upon it.

It's the little things that add up and are out of alignment that keeps up on a trajectory of one step forward and two steps back.

What we think about, talk about and act must, according to Mama Bello, be in harmony.

I have started practicing this with the small things - self talk when I decide to do a task. what am I telling myself, what am I telling others, how am I acting?

I am noticing a higher level of self trust when I am aligned.

I have been noticing that I am no longer wanting to prove anything, just to keep myself authentic by keeping the promises that I have made to myself.

Living in harmony takes accountability

Peace and Blessings

Put your attention there

Whatever you choose to believe you will create it and it will determine what you experience.

Your attention is the currency that you spend in creating and executing a thing.

Right now, your attention goes on healing, food, social media, watching movies and keeping an image.

What if you placed your attention on loving yourself unconditionally by releasing all the beliefs you hold about how you must do more, be more, look different, act different?

What is you placed your attention on your dream of living close to water where you can hear the flow, the waves, the splash?

What if you placed your attention on working in Liberia, West Africa?

What is you place less attention on scrolling social media?

What is you place more attention on the Most High?

What is you place your attention on moving forward and less attention on the past, who hurt you, and why?

Where your attention goes, grows

Be mindful of what you do in thought, word and deed.

Be mindful of where your attention goes.

Put down the phone, turn it off sometimes

When you are writing in your journal, leave it out of arms reach.

Less phone, more life

Less fear, more action

What in your life do you want to grow?

Your savings - place some attention there

Your farm on the beach - place some attention there

Your speaking and writing - place some attention there

Your healing

Whatever it is

Put your attention there

Peace and Blessings

Affirmation

Chasing is a wound response. Choosing is a worthy response - Unknown

I now choose in this perfect choice-point moment of total freedom to let go of all that I am aware in me that is holding me back; the old, the stagnant behaviors no longer serving me, that which is breaking my own heart, disappointing me, out of alignment, and causing me shame or feelings of unworthiness and ways of self  protection that have become a prison.

I drop all comparison and judgements towards myself and others and ask for the revelation of the gifts waiting on the other side of the rebirth be known now.

I choose this new timeline of my own free will and I give thanks for the strength to act in alignment with my Self which is calling me forward into greater expression of my inner divinity, I now trade my inner enemy for my inner Divinity

Thank you, it is done

Ase

You Are The Hero in Your Own Story

Life is full of mystery. The mystery is our invitation to let go and to embrace uncertainty with the fullness of our being. This is how hope becomes our bearing. It’s how it becomes our compass in uncertain times. JOE PRIMO

I had the pleasure and privilege to be the feature speaker at the Graduation of the St Peter's Private Primary School yesterday

The theme - you are the hero in your own story spoke to me, reminded me to, in fact, to be the hero in my own story.

Congratulations to the class of 2024.

Dear Graduates, Parents, Teachers, and Honored Guests,

Today, we celebrate a significant milestone in the lives of our young graduates. For 12 years, you have embarked on a remarkable journey of learning, growth, and discovery. Today, as you step forward into the next chapter, I want to talk to you about becoming the hero of your own journey.

Every great story has a hero.  Heroes are defined not just by their triumphs but by their courage, perseverance, and the choices they make. And just like these heroes, each one of you is the hero of your own story.

**Embrace Your Uniqueness**

First and foremost, remember that every hero is unique. You each have your own talents, passions, and dreams. Embrace what makes you special. The world needs your unique perspective and abilities. Whether you love science, art, sports, or helping others, pursue what excites you. Your individuality is your superpower.

**Face Challenges with Courage**

Every hero encounters challenges. There will be times when things are difficult, when you feel afraid or uncertain. But remember, courage is not the absence of fear; it’s choosing to move forward despite it. When faced with obstacles, don’t give up. Ask for help when you need it, learn from your experiences, and keep going. Your resilience in the face of adversity will make you stronger.

**Make Choices that Reflect Your Values**

Heroes are defined by the choices they make. As you grow, you will be faced with many decisions. Let your values guide you. Choose kindness, honesty, and integrity. Stand up for what you believe is right, even when it’s not the easy path. Your choices shape who you are and the impact you have on the world around you.

**Believe in Yourself**

Every hero must believe in themselves, even when others doubt them. Trust in your abilities and your inner strength. Remember, even the greatest heroes started small, unsure of their path. With belief and determination, you can achieve amazing things. Don’t let self-doubt hold you back. Believe in your dreams and work hard to turn them into reality.

**Seek Adventure and Learn**

Life is an adventure, and learning is a lifelong journey. Be curious, explore new ideas, and never stop learning. Heroes seek knowledge and experiences that help them grow. Take risks, try new things, and learn from every experience. The world is full of wonders waiting to be discovered.

**Build a Supportive Community**

No hero goes it alone. Along the way, you will need friends, mentors, and supporters. Surround yourself with people who lift you up, who encourage and inspire you. Be that supportive person for others as well. Together, you can achieve more and overcome any challenge.

**Give Back to the World**

Finally, heroes give back. Use your talents and strengths to make the world a better place. Whether through small acts of kindness or big efforts to create change, your contributions matter. Be generous with your time, your compassion, and your skills. Your actions can inspire and help others on their own journeys.

As you leave here today, know that your journey is just beginning. The path ahead will be filled with adventures, challenges, and incredible opportunities. Embrace your role as the hero of your own story. Believe in yourself, make choices that reflect your values, and never stop learning and growing.

Congratulations, graduates! Go forth and be the heroes you are meant to be. The world is waiting for your greatness.

Thank you.

Peace and Blessings

An alternative view of Patience

Life willcause somethings to have to pause. Sometimes life will slow us down and that isok. Nedra Glover Tawaab

I want to offer to you another definition of Patience

Let us look at patience as more than waiting

Patience is HOW we wait

Patience is being present

Patience is standing on something

Patience is thinking the highest outcome while you wait

Patience is not only about waiting, its about presence, its about knowing that the future thing you want starts now.

If you want to start a business, you want to get healthy, you want to change your life- it starts now and includes you being patient. It makes a difference how you wait, how you act as you put things in place to get where you want to get.

You must be fully present in the moment because how you are today impacts the future.

If you want something in the future, you cannot act any old way now, you have to put things in place in the present moment.

You have to be in alignment in thought, word and deed. If you think about the goal and believe that you cannot achieve it, you will not be alignment, patience involves alignment.

You have to remember that patience is also about discipline – on a daily basis you  stay the course, to keep re-enforcing wherever you want to go, whatever you want to achieve.

Patience requires a consciousness – if that consciousness includes doubt, worry, fear, trust, confidence, unfocused scattered attention, compassion, judgement. They will impact what comes about, the  impact the future and what you create.

Patience involves us having a level of trust because we cannot control every outcome – you start your business, your project without knowing what the final outcome is, you wait in trust with the prayer  “this our something better” God’s will be done.

In the meantime- we wait!

Peace and Blessings

June - I smell Abundance

The doubters doubt about it never made it untrue. Yasin Bey

June is here - the month I was born, I am not sure if its that or its a shift in my mindset - it may be a combination. I now feel a sense of excitement, a rebirth of sorts. I feel that I have arrived at the opening of an important portal.

Truth be told, the past year has been rough!

There were times I had to pull everything I had in me to keep going. And what I now having gone through it is that there is a divine order, a right action that is beyond my control.

My responsibility is to remember this, to remember that the Divine lives inside of me, with me.

To remember that the guidance comes - it comes when I am focused- when there are distractions it takes a longer time. Sit with it, speak with it, learn from it, you come out on the other side. It never leaves, I have the free will to listen or not. When I am distracted, when I am in fear, I don't listen.

We’re so used to instant gratification so if we do not get an answer immediately, we go to Google. This process works great for most inquiries yet when it comes to healing, learning and remembering who WE are it does not apply.

I believe that I have reached the other side and how fitting that it is June.

Beautiful things are about to happen.

Doubting it will not make it untrue.

Source is always available- look within

Peace and Blessings

Is it Safe or is it Familiar?

Love introduces the highest possible frequency into the equation, and so when it is present, it is transformative. Like a door cracking to exposea stream of light into an otherwise dark room, once love is present, fearbegins to dissolve. If you need change, you need love, because the love itselfwill change whatever needs to be softened, lightened, and realigned. BrianaWiest

Many times our mind tells us that where we are  is safe only because its familiar, many times its time to move- we settle.

Being present means coming to make decisions with a balance of where we are now using memories

Unfamiliar feels unsafe - but how many times is it not unsafe?

Sometimes we have to take the risk, take the stories out of our mind, transcend the space where we feel limited

Start small, its a process

One small act at a time to signal to ourself  that we are open to moving beyond where we are rather than settle because of fear.

Peace and Blessings

What if, you Got this?

Isn’t it strange that it’s so often easier to contemplate what’s “wrong” with us than what’s right with us? Elizabeth Gilbert

What If?

What if all your sad and “bad” experiences are for your greatest evolution?

What if those experiences are a portal to something, to somewhere?

What if you look at the experience as a bitter medicine you must have to heal you, even though you detest the taste and the after taste left on your tongue.

What if you are overthinking this entire thing?

What if the Most High is present in all of this and got you?

What if you remember that everything is temporary and many times we don’t have control on how all experiences end?

What if the experience is a type of manure that can help in the growing of beautiful flowers?

What if this experience was a method of opening you up to new ways of being, to forgive Self, to learn Self?

What if this is to remind you to love yourself and stop offering yourself up to be used?

What if, you Got this?
