Hello Poetteers,
You can find the origins of the idea here.
I just finished reading EVERY LAST WORD by Tamara Ireland Stone . It is a story that really touched me. You should pick it up!
I watch family vlogs. I recently got into the planner/plan with me videos on YouTube.
Loving
The crisp air. The sweater weather. That fall is here.
Listening To
I'm two favorite songs right now are Fight Song by Rachel Platten and Bright by Echosmith.
Thinking About
My new merch store, you should check it out! If you have any ideas let me know in the comments. Thank you!
Anticipating
Eid celebrations!
Wishing
For a better tomorrow.
Making Me Happy
Bookstore dates. Quiet times. Cat cuddles.
Love,
Fida

Prose Poetry: Reader-Poet
Hello Poetteers,
A Poet in a Reader
You see her sit there with a book in her hand. She smiles and you see her shoulders shake with laughter. Minutes later you see her teary-eyed. She tries to hide herself from other people behind the book. You see she takes a part of her headscarf to catch and wipe away the tears. Every once in and while she pulls out a journal from her bag and jots down a few some things.
If you look in her journal you will find words, snippets of phrases and sentences from songs and books she read that sparked inspiration in her.
Later she will run with that inspiration. But that later may never come. Perhaps she will forget.
She may remember it inspired her but not how and why. You would look into her journal of snippets and never find poems that should and one day would follow.
She doesn’t know where to begin. She just lets go of thinking and writes. Later when she reads what she has written, she finds on the page, words from her own heart.
Love, Fida
P.S. Tomorrow is my 2nd author anniversary!

Prose Poetry: Flowers
Hello Poetteers,
The flowers sit there in a garden behind the houseSometimes flowers send their seeds to travel. The seeds travel with the wind to spread their beauty or to get a better spot in the world.

Top Ten Tuesday: Books on Your Syllabus
Hello Poetteers,
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. The topic today is what books would be on the syllabus if you taught historical fiction.
Which of these books have you read? What other historical fiction novels would be on your list? What class are you teaching? Link up so I can check out your posts!
Thank you,
Fida

Monday Blessings: Gratitude and Privilege
Hello Poetteers,
As I lay here and think about my day I can't help but feel grateful. I can easily chat with my close friends. I'm grateful for my family, for the trips we take especially camping trips. I can't wait to go hiking again!
I'm grateful for my cats. I'm grateful for the conversation I had during dinner with my family. We talked about privilege. I'm grateful to live a safe and comfortable life. I'm grateful to be able to do what I love and be with those I love.
Thank you universe and God.
Love, Fida

Book Review: How to Say I Love You
Hello Poetteers,
How to Say I Love You Out Loud by Karole Cozzo
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
The blurb makes the story seem like another shallow love story. In the beginning it does seem like a shallow love story. Later into the story you start getting hints of a deeper plot.
My favorite stories are the ones that highlights disability. It is great seeing her trying to understand her brother and herself. The message towards the one is something everyone needs to hear.
