Monday Blessings: Dua
Hello Poetteers,
Dua is
prayer
is what supplication means
in arabic
It is my hands cupped to my chest
or my hands cupped to my face
my fingers pointing up
towards the sky
Or it's a wish and hope to God
In my mind and heart
It is a conversation with Him.
Love, Fida

Ebooks - Poetry Collections
Hello Poetteers,
Besides the three poetry collections I've published I do have a small ebook collection of poetry. I do hope to one day have a hard copy collection of poetry.

Poetry Bucket List Recap
Hello Poetteers,
Last year I made a poetry bucket list. I totally forgot about it! I can, though, cross a few more things off.
1. Write a poem in every format.
2. Publish a poetry collection.
3. Do poetry on demand.
4. Be a poetry editor. (I'm in the process of giving myself that title.)
5. Do a poetry reading.
6. Do a spoken word poetry performance.
7. Turn a poem into a song. (I've written a poem into song format but not everything else that goes into it.)
8. Make a spoken word album.
9. Have a poetry section on my bookshelf. (I'm in the process of doing that!)
10. Participate in a poetry workshop.
11. Lead a poetry workshop.
12. Meet some poets.
13. Road trip - find historical literary places.
14. Bonus: English and Arabic calligraphy.
What have you crossed off the list I shared? What else should I add to mine?

Monday Blessings: Synchronicity
Hello Poetteers,
The struggles we go through
the synchronicity we are in
the friends and family we have
How we think of people and ourselves
how others think of us
without knowing they thought of us.

What's Up Wednesday: The Last
Hello Poetteers,
My latest read was AUSTENLAND by Shannon Hale. I enjoyed it yet I gave it 3 stars.
On my Twitter page I announced that I'm working on a fourth poetry collection for publication! I hope to see you there to keep you updated on the process.
Also, yesterday was the release day for Aisha Saeed's WRITTEN IN THE STARS!
Last but not least, thank you Jamie and Erin!

Monday Blessings: Helping Out
Hello Poetteers,
Do something new each day
give a part of yourself
help out a neighborhood
do it with friends
gain the blessings
gain the knowledge
do it all with them
Doing it for the first time
or maybe it is
your one of many trips
feel the humbling experience
of what they do and say
and how with a little
we help a lot.

Poem - The Path
Hello Poetteers,
We listen to verses
as we sit and wait
thinking motivation
inspiration and determination
will just come to us
but we need to learn
to not be the only person in our way
We need to learn
to not put limitations on ourselves.

What's up Wednesday: Spring
Hello!
Let me just tell you I forgot today was Wednesday, eep!
This weekend I got to read and finish LONE WOLF by Jodi Picoult. I enjoy her style of writing. You could say she is turning into an auto-buy author for me. You will enjoy this if you love wolves and learning about them.
It finally feels like spring where I am. I'm excited to get back to doing everything like exercise and other work outside.

What's up Wednesday
Hello Poetteers,
I finished CRESS. It is the best out of the series!
I found an old story idea and already outlined the idea for camp NaNoWriMo in April.
I have another little project going on: A year ago from March 5th it was the re-release of A TO Z POETRY!
I would love to do something to celebrate it. Just like we did with Her Olives, take a picture of yourself reading A to Z Poetry and submit it to me to be part of the celebratory collage through #FidaPoetry
If I could have it by March 13, that would be great.
Do you know what I want to know, what do you want to see on the blog?
Love, Fida
