Been a tiring weekend, and yet, I’ve got nothing done! :/ Not so good. However, I have just this minute started working on Just A Woman, part two of Marina’s story. At the same time, I’ve been very fortunate to have received a whopping number of reviews these past few days- over 12!!, 8 at 5* and 4 at 4* all for Mona’s story, so it’s with a great feeling in my gut that I commence this, the next chapter in Marina’s life.
Marina’s a complicated woman. Few people understand her and for that reason, she’s alone. I think we are all alone in some small way. How does the song go? One is the loneliest number? It’s true and even though Marina has friends and a lover, the real her is tucked away deep inside. She’s intrinsically alone and it’s up to Nathan Conroy to break this vicious circle… if he wants to, that is. For the people who have read the first part, A Bitch In Time, they’ll know the ending is… well, I don’t want to spoil the surprise. Let’s just say, the relationship between Marina and her lover is most definitely on tenterhooks!
The reason I love writing romance, even if it is with a bit of raunch, is because I like the idea of taking two solitary people and making them one. Okay, not in the sense of the Spice Girls’ song, lol, but a merging of two souls? Does that sound icky? :P Maybe. But that’s why I always have the tag: Unorthodox Happy Ever Afters. Because I might like a soppy ending, but I want a bang in the beginning, middle and end and there are plenty of them in the Naughty Nookie series!
Happy Holidays, my friends. Let’s see where Marina’s story leads tonight, as I burn the midnight oil! And watch out, in the upcoming days I’ll be revealing Just A Woman’s cover art!
