Few people realize this. More people need to!

And even as a proud purveyor of Happy Ever Afters, I realize this and try to imbue it into my work. Even if it’s in a roundabout fashion.

And this is why I write… summed up in one sentence. :)

AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT: HEATHER MCCOUBREY

TO LOVE TWICE

During an intense and terrifying experience, Kate meets Brad Walker, the man of her dreams. After a blissful ten years, Brad suddenly becomes cold and distant. A few months after giving birth to their daughter, Kate leaves and files for divorce. When he dies a few days later and his secrets are revealed, Kate is devastated.

Five years later, Kate has made a successful new life for herself and her daughter, despite the fact that she clings to his memory and grieves for her husband. While in London on a business trip, she meets London’s most eligible bachelor, Edward Kent. She is enchanted with his manners and dazzled by his attention. He’s everything she could wish for, and everything she’s afraid of. Edward finds her refreshing and lovely and quickly realizes that he’s finally found the one he wants to spend the rest of his life with.

Can Kate set Brad’s memory and her fears aside long enough to find happiness with Edward and finally see that she is able To Love Twice?

ABOUT HEATHER MCCOUBREY

Heather was born in a small town named Calais, Maine, located about halfway up the eastern coast of Maine, on the border of St. Stephen, New Brunswick. She and her family moved around a lot when she was a child, due to her father’s work in construction. Always the new girl, it was hard for her to make lasting friendships, so she turned to books at a young age to escape. In middle school, she was blessed with a teacher who taught her that she could create and write her own stories just as easily as she could read them. It was then that the spark of a career was ignited. Her writing took a back seat after high school when she joined the Air Force, got married and started a family. In 2011, at the urging of a friend, she signed up to do the National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) event. On that fateful afternoon in November, her debut novel, To Love Twice, was born. She currently lives in western Pennsylvania with her family and is working on her next novel, Back to December, due out in Summer 2014.

A Crazy Little Thing Called... MONA!

Mona’s a complex character. She wants, but she can’t have and so she hides. That doesn’t make her weak or a coward, it just makes her apathetic. And at some point in our lives, when doesn’t that happen? When don’t we let life pass us by, wasting the precious days as though we had millions of them left… It takes a short, sharp shock  to snap us out of it sometimes and for Mona, that came in the shape of Zane.

I think we’re all in need of those short, sharp shocks. But we’re not all so fortunate as to get them in the form of ex-soldier/heroic hunks! :D

More’s the pity.

To find out what goes down in Mona’s tale, then the links are below. And don’t forget, part one, Fall Into Love, is free on my website and Smashwords. The reviews are still coming in and people are enjoying the stories; music to my ears!

Within the next week or so, as an XMAS pressie for fans of the series, I’ll be uploading a little Christmas tale… to give you a taste of Mona’s Happy Ever After… although never fear, it won’t be the last you hear of her. And I don’t just mean in this series, either ;)
