99 cents for the culmination in Mona's story.
When I finished writing Can Be Gold, I knew it wasn’t the end for my trio. Something’s coming. I’m just not sure what… and I like to plan ahead so my creative juices need to start flowing, I need for Mona to tell me what’s going to happen. It’s weird, I never really believed characters talked to their creators, but Mona does and as I write Marina’s tale… she’s starting to as well.
Christ, I hear voices in my head!! :P
Only as a writer, can you get away with saying that and not be locked up! Lol!

By the time I’m squeaky clean and deposited in the bed, I’ve awoken enough to ask, “What the hell was that about?”
I can’t even find it in myself to be angry; not when they’ve just slotted another memory into the memory banks.
Fuck me. That was incredible.
Silence ensues in reaction to my question, but the bathroom light pops off and the faint flood of light around the perimeter of the room tells me we’re in Zane’s bedroom. Within no time at all, I’m surrounded. To my left is Jake and to my right, Zane and there’s nowhere I’d rather be.
Jake is a cuddler. Not in the normal sense, but in a way, that if you’re close to him in bed, he’ll plaster himself or some part against you. Case in point now, two minutes after lying down, he’s on his belly, one arm over my waist, our sides pressed together.
And I’ll bet you thought I was the one squeezing into his armchair!
Unless I cuddle up to him, Zane is freer in bed. Takes up a ton of space. Yet, there’s always some connection. Small or little. It can even be just his fingers brushing against my elbow.
At the moment, he’s sprawled on his back, staring up at the sky, his foot nudging mine.
Is it any wonder I love being the stuffing in a Jake and Zane sandwich?
I grin at the lewd thought but it’s a prompt reminder of what just happened. I’m still pretty confused as to the why? What the hell set the pair of them off?
“And I don’t mean the most spectacular bit of sex America has ever known. Why the panic?” I’m too replete, too damned satisfied to even raise my voice. I probably should. I should shout at them and rail and scream. After all, I can do whatever the hell I want. If I want to go out all afternoon, then I can do it and no one is going to stop me.
I’ve been alone for far too long to have to pay heed to anyone else.
As always, before I can get into a good bitch, Jake says something that makes my heart melt.
“We thought you’d left.”

It’s like, when you’re at the store and someone is really mean to a checkout attendant… I always cringe. How much abuse does the attendant have to experience on a daily basis, because the company priced something wrong? Something that had nothing to do with her!
And what drove that person to start swearing at a complete stranger, who has to move groceries over a laser for hours and hours a day?
There’s a story behind every action. And it’s always a reaction.

ABOUT D CHRISTOPHER HARVEY
D. Christopher, or Chris, is a humble, quiet, confident, gentle man. From birth, he was classified as a shy or introverted person. Many times, when it was necessary to speak, he would remain silent because he was always looking for the right time or perfect line. A tragic event took place, early in his life, which caused him to go deeper into a shell. He did not speak about the incident for almost three years. He became a loner and kept many things to himself. Ironically, he found solace in writing and acting. He eventually realized that he had a knack for creating word play. His love for words, easily detecting grammatical errors, and sentence structure catapulted him into his passion for writing poetry. Chris started seriously writing poems while involved in a whirlwind relationship. The relationship consisted of every emotion that two people could display. His partner was outgoing, talkative, approachable, friendly and was liked by most. She would often ask him what he was thinking or why he was so quiet. He frequently heard that he did not show emotions and he took life far more serious than others. At the onset, Chris resorted to writing his partner poetry. As time evolved, he would create simply to express himself or to help his partner simplify the enigma which he often portrayed. Eventually, he would create as a method of finding serenity, motivation, or self-reflection. While going through, the rites of passage of his storied life, he realized that he had a unique gift. The relationship has fizzled, although his passion burns brightly.
