A Fine Profession (The Chambermaid’s Tales Part One)

This is a strange book; organized into different parts and different sections. Nothing out of the ordinary, but, when I first saw the Table of Contents, I was a bit overwhelmed. That sounds silly, but I was! The forewords give you a clue as to the path the story is going to take, but even then, it comes as a surprise!
I have a rule as a reviewer that if I can’t read a book, then I won’t review it and a few times, the sheer honesty of this book made me hover over whether or not I’d finish it. But I did. What do I mean by honesty? Sarah’s so honest with her writing, she’s almost brutal. Her candour and bluntness are almost unnerving until you get accustomed to her and Charlotte, the main character’s, voice.
Lottie is a well-written character, so much so that she ceases to be just a part of a story. She’s integral. Through her, we see pain and suffering, sexual release and need, hunger and a desire to be loved. Not just for her, but in ourselves. In fact, she’s so well-crafted that Sarah deserves a pat on the back.
This isn’t a comfortable read. The sex scenes are highly detailed and Sarah doesn’t pull her punches here, either. Some things will make you cringe; others will get you hot. A Fine Profession is a book that will stick with you, one that will make you ponder and rehash. Especially the ending. I know there’s a book two coming out and I can’t help but wonder where it will go and if Lottie will be a part of that.
I can easily recommend this book, but don’t expect your average piece of erotica. This is so much more.

Naughty Nookie: spreading the love ;)
God, I loved this third part so damn much. A lusty triangle is growing. Nice to read a story involving m/m/f where the main character isn’t obsessed with the girl for a change. Okay, Zane, he likes Mona a lot, but he loves his husband Jake, and that makes this erotic read all the more exciting. The sexiness in this part is extra HOT ‘pant pant’ but there is a lot of emotion and strong desire. That Mona is a naughty girl, (lucky minx) Seriously can’t wait for the next part….

Those words from a childhood memory would haunt Ontario Stratton for the rest of her life. Losing her father had been difficult enough, but her life would change even more drastically at the beginning of her senior year of high school. Only weeks into the school year Mrs. Stratton abandons her two children for a more carefree way of living. Suddenly thrown into a very different life, Ontario clings to her brother Eddy, her new legal guardian, and to no one else. Could she trust anyone anymore? Even her best friend isn’t there for her…
In order to feel like less of a burden on her brother, Ontario gets a job at the local fifties-style diner. It is there that she meets her new “family,” including the oh-so-intriguing Austin, the only one who can help her truly heal. In time, Ontario discovers that Austin has his own demons, and that he needs her just as much as she needs him. Some things in Ontario’s life begin to come together again, but others continue to fall apart. Though her world seems to be breaking, she is introduced to a kind of happiness she has never known before, and her new found friends show her that maybe, just maybe, she can learn to love again.

Why do men take so long in the bathroom? And you know what I’m talking about if I say this act usually requires that men have reading material… Yeah, you know where I’m going. Lol.

The first part of the Naughty Nookie series is now available on the popular ebook store, Smashwords. I’m just awaiting Premium Status for the novella to be live on the other stores that Smashwords distributes to.
I’ve spent a huge chunk of my afternoon trying to figure out all the different style rulings, but it was worth it! Or, it will be, when it doesn’t say Pending Review, in my dashboard! :D
For the moment, only part one is available on Smashwords as Crazy Little Thing Called Lust and All That Glitters are enrolled in KDP Select. :) But within the next few months, I’ll be adding them to Smashwords too!

Silk – Interactive Generative Art - Awesome for Creativity

I managed to redeem myself yesterday; got my second wind at 11pm and toppled over the 2000 word goal for #NaNoWriMo. Still to do today’s segment, but I’m on the brink of it now.
With so much to do, I’ve found two sites that are actually rather relaxing. This Art Creator is lush. And really pretty :) I love the ethereal flames of colour and you can manipulate the controls to make purty pictures. :P Plus, I’ve just found calm.com, which does exactly what it says on the tin. Calms and relaxes; had a headache today and it’s finally going!
Add in ice cream, then, you’ve got a de-stressed happy bunny. :D
Have a great weekend, peeps. I’m going to toddle off for some more ice cream, then write my two thousand words and chill!
