Virginia Woolf wrote FLUSH?

Virginia Woolf. Flush- A Biography. London- Hogarth Press, 1933 by 50 Watts (formerly A Journey Round My Skull) In 1933, Virginia Woolf's biography, Flush , was published. One wonders, why was one of literature's greatest talents writing a book called Flush? Apparently, because that was the name of Elizabeth Barrett Browning's cocker spaniel.

It's all crystal-clear to me now!

"Books are the stepping stones of imagination"?I appreciate the thought...

I appreciate the thought, but who steps on books in their bare feet? I mean, book jackets are good at repelling dust. But foot fungus? Not so much.

This seems about right. I'm large, hairy, unkempt, barefoot— hey, wait a minute. I'm not a ginger!

Well, that was nice.

Over at AbeBooks, Linda Thompson put together a video response to this Facebook page. Thanks, Linda!

Of course, when it comes to MY books, some people use different words to describe them. (Words like loathsome, useless, execrable, saddening, icky, vituperative, etc.)

Books Clock!

Untitled by Shokoofeh ZD

The clock-face is formed by the spines of three books . . . and the numbers on the spines help you keep track of your reading schedule. Timely work!
