Some general news and Day 11 of the December 2020 Book Faire.
Dear humans,
Life is happening in the Blain household. The female is hopeful change may come sooner than later. The male proposed potentially moving. The female was like please? Then the male mentioned having to talk to work, and the female went from hopeful to sad. But… the female is hopeful the male’s work will be cooperative. But there are no guarantees.
The female is making good progress on Wild Wolf. It is not done yet. She will be riding the deadline hard. Again. We apologize for any...

Day 10 of the December 2020 Book Faire.
Dear humans,
The female’s current status is tired, but she is doing her best. She is very much looking forward to when Wild Wolf is done and she can take a few days to just sleep. Or something like that. Probably sleep. She does like her sleep.
Onto the book faire, which as a reminder for those just tuning in, is a hearty thank you to authors who kindly shared the female’s books with their audience. (So, if you have a kindle unlimited membership, and you spot something you might enjoy, giv...

Meep meep!
Dear humans,
We were supposed to do the book faire today, but the female is really tired. She didn’t sleep well tonight. She got the bare minimum of work done today, so she is going to retreat into her cave and relax for the rest of the evening.
She did eight hours… and she got a lot done. (Not enough, but still a lot.)
Sorry, humans!
Book Faire should resume tomorrow with a few interesting books!
In other news, she is playing Stardew Valley because farm sims is her speed right now. (...

Day 9 of the December 2020 Book Faire!
Dear humans,
Happy holidays! We hope you have had a wonderful day. The female received a lovely present from a friend of Cajun food. Some of her favorite relatives were Cajun, and they always brought their food and culture up from Louisiana when they visited. Every year, they’d bring back beads and masks from Mardis Gras, which was always delightful.
So the female and the male had Cajun boneless chicken stuffed with potatoes, and it was absolutely delightful. Not quite traditional fare, bu...
Happy holidays! Murder Mittens is now out in the wilds.

Dear humans,
Murder Mittens is now available in the wilds. You can grab your copy at the following vendors: Amazon, Apple Books, Kobo, and B&N.
This snippet was stolen from the female for your enjoyment.
Why was murdering irate, irrational, ignorant, and flat-out wrong customers illegal? The idiot on the phone rambled about how it wasn’t fair that dumping coffee on his router invalidated his warranty.
I thought it wasn’t fair his stupidity might lose me IQ points, and I’d learned...

Day 8 of the December 2020 Book Faire. Happy holidays, humans!
Dear humans,
The female is tired, but she is doing the best she can. In good news, the male has three hockey games to watch, or some such, which means he will be glued to the magic glowy box for a minimum of six hours.
The female is pleased with this. Tomorrow, she will try to write many words. Today, she took half a day off.
The female is working merrily on a cross-stitch project. She ordered the threads she was missing after plundering the stash she did have. She exchanged one color, ...

Day 7 of the December 2020 Book Faire. We think. Oh, look! A squirrel! Ack. That’s just the female’s freshly washed hair…
Dear humans,
The female washed her hair last night. She found the necessary spoon to eradicate the rabid grease weasel. She completed her transformation into a rabid squirrel, as her hair went POOF and apparently, static electricity is real, and so is the disaster that is her head. But not all is lost, humans.
She didn’t have any knots.
We are considering this to be a miracle.
In other news, the female now has 3 active cross-stitch projects littering her desk of various complexities....

Day 6 of the December 2020 Book Faire: Books, Books, and More Books!
Dear humans,
The female has gone, quite possibly, truly insane this time. She has taken to stabbing pieces of cloth with sharp, pointy things, muttering curses, counting… possibly casting some dark spell… we really aren’t sure. (She’s cross-stitching, for the humans who are curious about her latest shenanigans.)
So far she has started two projects and has finished nothing, but a few more colored x marks appear on the cloth every day.
The Edge of it All by Jessica Grayson (Sci-fi / Shif...
License to Kill (Karma Book 2) has released!
Dear humans,
License to Kill is out in the wilds! You can acquire your copy at your favorite vendors, but here’s the link to Amazon, since that’s what most people request. (The female is on the last of her deadlines, so we’re chopping so she dodges having her head chopped. Or something like that.)
Warning: This is not a light or fluffy or funny book. It deals heavily on the realities of familial abuse and toxicity, and it is ultimately a redemption story, and redemption stories, by their v...

Stayin’ Alive, Stayin’ Alive…
We survived the apartment inspection. We were written up for having small scratches on the kitchen floor. (Side note: it is the cheapest kitchen flooring money can buy, and we’ve been here about three years… Yay.)
So there’s that.
There are two books releasing next week. I am not done enough other stuff, so Book Faire will resume… as soon as I get over this hurtle. License to Kill is locked and loaded. The scramble for Murder Mittens is heavily underway. I am hoping for the base ability to...
