A plate of fresh tacos waited just beyond the threshold of the white, rusty van with ‘FREE CANDY’ spray painted on the side. Who wanted free candy? Not this woman.

But those tacos?

I would do far shadier things than climb inside some dumb, rusty van to get those tacos.

I climbed inside.

I will be MIA for a while.

R.J. here. In good news, I’d finished all my immediate deadlines. In bad news, my husband just went to the ER. It’s not COVID, but it’s also not good.

As such, I’m probably not going to be as active as normal. I’ll keep everybody (who is interested) posted.

At this point in time, nothing in my schedule is changing, I just won’t be as social as normal. Possibly. I have a lot of waiting to do in the near future, as visitors aren’t allowed at the hospital. With a little luck, he’ll be able to...

Power outages are fun! (Not!)

Dear humans,

Wild Wolf released today. The power went out, so there went that. In good news, it came back on before everything in the refrigerator and freezer spoiled. Barely. It was getting to the doomsday hour for that, but it came back on with some time to spare.

The female has had quite the day. She did a fun zoom, which will eventually be posted… somewhere? When we have a link, we will share. There was a lot of giggling and general silliness. It was fun. Anxiety rousing, but also fun....

The female’s back is still a mess. The male’s back has decided to join in. Solidarity is not wise in this case, male human. Don’t join the female on this one. She does not want company this time.

She took a day off, which was lovely! Princess slept with her. I kept a close eye on the male.

The female then, after playing some games and splashing around in some water, worked on the Vampire of Montana. She is now approximately 10% done the book. She is having a good time with ...

Nananananaaaaaa Book Faire! It’s a day. Sometime in January. We think the year is still 2021, but we’re not sure.

This is one of the complex strays. This kitty is a cutie, and both the male and the female are guilty of trying to lure this cutie home.

This cutie wants nothing to do with the male or the female. But is this cutie not just precious? Look at that black little nose, that white chest, and those cute little white ear tufts! Cute, cute, cute.

The female took one of those short naps where time warps. She is not sure what year it is anymore, she feels worse rather than better...

The female’s day has been less than stellar. She had to deal with yet another armchair editor incident. Add in a lot of administration-type work she needed to do, by the time she got to the ‘write book’ portion of her day, she was out of spoons.
