Wishes and More art by Students in the South St. Paul School District

Wishes and More South Saint Paul Schools

I
received a postcard in the mail from Wishes and More the other day. The front side was a colorful illustration by one of the children from the South Saint Paul Public School District and on the back was a wonderful note thanking me for my contribution of Bloodmark swag to the Wishes and More 2014 Winter Ball. I’m so honored to be part of their amazing experience for kids! And the note and art brightened my day!

Do your part and donate to your favorite charity. It warms the heart.

When I started writing her first scene in the book I got chills. Ashling the protagonist first meets Rhonda Jane in a standoff and the tension and character-chemistry between t...

My Right of Passage

Bloodmark by Aurora Whittet Hard Cover Press Check at Friesens

I suppose it is about time that an ugly review showed up on Amazon. It was only a matter of time. Up to this point I have been trying to prepare myself for this moment. Telling myself it would come and someone somewhere would say something awful about my work. And that is their opinion and they have a right to say it, but it doesn’t make it hurt less. There is no real way to prepare for the moment that the haters start coming to break down your work, your hopes and your art.

It is nearly debil...

Bloodmark the “Anti-Twilight”

Christys House Full of Chaos, Bloodmark the anti-twilight

A seriously cool review on Christy’s Houseful of Chaos. Christy I bow to your awesomeness. You not only read Bloodmark, but the you read Twilight to compare the two, and then reread Bloodmark again. You even emailed me asking questions about the book and the process I went through and included them in the review. You’re thoughtfulness, thoroughness and research are impressive. Seriously wow. You are dedicated and cool.

She gave Bloodmark a very cool review and called it the “Anti-Twilight“! Ch...

Happy New Year!

Bloodmark launch party at Claddagh Coffee for author Aurora Whittet

I started 2013 off with a nerve-wrecking Kickstarter project. Watching day after day to see if I would reach my coveted goal by the time the last drop of sand fell. And I did! It was amazing and that began a whirl-wind of excitement. I hired Amy Quale of Wise Ink Publishing as my editor and began!

In the midst of it all I lost my mom to cancer and through my darkest days and devastated heart Bloodmark was still published on time on November 1, 2013! I am so proud and honored to be able to shar...
