Spreading sunshine
Fittingly enough, I’m writing and posting this on a day with plenty of sunshine at my house. I hope your day is equally bright.
The lovely Kylie Wolfe, fellow author and introvert, gifted me with a Sunshine Award. Heart palpitations (aka Playing the Game news)
Today, my publisher delivered the finalized ebook files for Neighborly Affection: Playing the Game, and my heart thundered so hard I think passing out was a distinct possibility. Yes, it’s that exciting for a first-timer.
Once I’d calmed down enough to read beyond the first sentence of the email, I got my second shock of the day. (Publishing is a dangerous business and, much like riding roller coasters and shoveling snow, should not be undertaken by those with heart...

Nightmare, Day One
I crossed off the most nerve-wracking item on my to-do list today: submitting my second book to my publisher. Now comes the waiting and hoping it will be well-received. I’d better trim my fingernails before they end up well-chewed.

Playing the Game line edit back
I don’t know how she does it, but my content editor has the absolute best timing. No sooner do I whip book two into shape and churn out a synopsis for it (potentially the worst part of writing — condensing everything you love into two pages of straightforward explanation) than she drops a cheery note in my inbox with a line edit for book one.
