Lack and A Sense of Scarcity
Where does that come from? Is it real, something that we need pay attention to?
Remember Peggy Lee’s hit song, “Is That All There Is”? About the singer getting every thing she wanted but still unsatisfied?
Having as much as one can store is an addiction of contemporary society.
But to better ourselves inwardly is another matter.
The yearning to be part of something greater and better, something that blesses everyone and harms no one, is natural.
The sense of lack and scarcity comes from that yearning. Right? So do something about it! Buying another toy won’t hack it. Blaming and attacking won’t hack it. But everyday acts of compassion, kindness and respect will. Spirit Tech can help you know how and what to do.

Pleasure
Happiness, pleasure and sensuality are not only essential to a healthy life but to a healthy brain. Enough puritanical BS! Dopamine, the pleasure neurochemical, enables the brain to pursue its primary goal, once survival is ensured, the pursuit of pleasure and happiness. Without the dopamine boost, we soon become clinically depressed. The rejection of pleasure and happiness damages all the functions of the brain.
Enough puritanical and workaholic BS! We need to integrate our hedonistic yearnings, not suppress them! Try this bit of Spirit Tech for a day – every hour take 60 seconds to review the tiny accomplishments of the previous hour, and another 60 seconds to do something physically pleasurable – stroke your face, stretch, massage your hands or arms. Not only does this give you a dopamine boost, it also stimulates the brain’s salience network which regulates empathy, compassion and kindness. Put Spirit Tech to work for you.

Power
Power is ubiquitous, everywhere equally present. In, thru and around us right now. We think we have to do something – eat, pray, vote – some kind of ritual, to have it. That’s not true. Truth is, we have it in thru and around us right now. We don’t have to do s–t to have it. Truth is, we’ve interposed so much s–t between it and us that we have difficulty using it.
Everything we have taught ourselves has made our power more and more obscure. We know not what it is nor where. But we could know! and right now! All that stands between us and our power is our learning and clinging to the false and our attempts to undo the true.
We need to resign as our own teachers for we have been badly taught. Spirit Tech helps us do that.

Truth
Truth is always present and accessible within us. We know it as intuition or the still small voice or gut feel. We don’t have to search for it, we only need to remove the blocks we’ve built to it and Truth is all that remains. It’s difficult to convince the unknowing that they know. Each of us must experience the phenomena of getting our bloated nothingness out of the way for ourselves. Often many times a day.
This is quite different than what is commonly believed – that Truth is somewhere out there, separate from us and we must search and quest for it. Sit quietly, breathe deeply, let your heart and mind clear and you will know. Learning how to do this is what Spirit Tech is all about.

The Obscure
Only in darkness and ignorance is what we perceive fearful. Instead of shrinking away, we need to allow the light and look at it.
Only the hidden terrifies, not because of what we imagine it hides but because of its hiddenness.
The obscure is frightening because we don’t know its meaning. If we did, it would be clear and we would no longer be in the dark.
The quiet light within is merely perfect openness in which nothing is hidden and nothing is fearful. Learning how to access this light and use it, is what Spirit Tech is all about.

The Ache
Do you have a persistent dull ache deep within, no matter what you do? Moving what should be left alone, dropping what can’t be carried? Swinging up, then slipping down?
It’s the ache of being alive. I used think it was sadness. But it’s something deeper than not getting what I want or losing what I need. It’s the pulse from which life itself flows, the place where both joy and sadness arise. It’s the place of being alive.
Understanding this, and learning how to use it, is what Spirit Tech is all about.
