What will the new year bring?
How passive! It brings what I think and do!
Yes, on one level what it brings is beyond me. But on another, it’s entirely up to me.
Possibility is not the same as probability. But with focus, commitment and hard work I can make what’s possible for me, probable.

The big Self – the vast, omniscient, omnipresent and mysterious power we call “God,” is often viewed by the little self, the ego, as a threat. It is the sunbeam fearing the sun will devour it; the ocean ripple fearing the sea will absorb it. Yet it is us and returning is a blessing, not to be feared but embraced.

Forget the things you think you need.
Can we who see ourselves as bodies with needs know ourselves as the needless image and likeness? No.
I want an experience of my reality (and yours) as the needless image and likeness – free of fear, pain, lack and limitation, full of grace, joy and radiant good health.
To the extent I’m willing to give over my needs, to that extent will I be without them.

Atoms
Everything’s made of atoms, right?
Out of what we don’t see, everything we do see is made.
The only differences are in the form, the substance remains the same.
So, in deep reality – is that like the ‘deep state’ the Trumpies rant about – there’s no big nor little, difficult nor easy. Those are everyday human reality concepts, much more plastic than we think.

Christmas Eve Rant
The much vaunted Christmas Eve is here!
The time of peace on earth and goodwill to men.
As the Donald threatens to veto the Covid relief bill and allow 20 million Americans starve.
As the prisons in Florida are on the front page of the Herald.
As millions of Republicans threaten the Presidential Election and democracy itself.
As senior Trump advisors talk about Marshal Law. Marshal Law!
As fear mongering dominates the run-off in Georgia.
As Covid rages and the Federal Government is hog tied.
I could go on, but what’s the point?
The people most hurt by voting Republican continue to do so. In even greater numbers.
Now, on the other hand….
The spirit of Christmas does live, tho diminished. Is this time in which we remember the birth of the Jew Jesus worse than the times of his birth? That depends on how you choose to look at it.
