Image and Likeness
The traditional Judeo-Christian Bible and many non-traditional spiritualities speak of the image and likeness of God. What is that, exactly? Is it Zeus, Jesus, Buddha? To answer that, we have to know or describe what God is.
The traditional Judeo-Christian Bible and many non-traditional spiritualities also speak of God as omniscient (all knowing), omnipotent (all powerful), and everywhere equally present. This suggests that the power we call God is in, thru, and as everything and everyone. Such universality cannot be the province of one religion or any single tangible person, place or thing.
So, what is the image and likeness of the power we call God? Nothing…nothingness, empty space, invisible grace and power like the air that sustains us enabling anything and everything – ‘good’ and ‘evil’, but hopefully, more good than evil, once we get our bloated nothingness out of the way.

Michelangelo said about The David that he could see the statue inside the marble, waiting to be revealed and his job was to chisel away the excess.
So with our experiences in living – the so called good and so called bad. The power we call God has created us perfect and complete in Its own image. Our experiences are the chisel of God, chiseling away the excess to reveal our innate perfection.

There isn’t any iceberg.
There was an iceberg but it’s in a totally different ocean.
The iceberg is in this ocean but it will melt very soon.
There is an iceberg but we didn’t hit the iceberg.
We hit the iceberg, but the damage will be repaired very shortly.
The iceberg is a Chinese iceberg.
We are taking on water but every passenger who wants a lifeboat can get a lifeboat, and they are beautiful lifeboats.
Look, passengers need to ask nicely for the lifeboats if they want them.
We don’t have any lifeboats, we’re not lifeboat distributors.
Passengers should have planned for icebergs and brought their own lifeboats.
I really don’t think we need that many lifeboats.
We have lifeboats and they’re supposed to be our lifeboats, not the passengers’ lifeboats.
The lifeboats were left on shore by the last captain of this ship.
Nobody could have foreseen the iceberg.

Forgiveness
“No one can fail but your idea of them” – Course in Miracles. Forgive and they have not failed. Thinking someone or yourself ‘should’ be a certain way is the problem. One of the first things I learned as a Life Coach was, “Don’t should on yourself!”
Easier said than done for me, especially when it comes to our democratic institutions. I just can’t seem to let go of my ideas about how a President and Senators should behave. I fear, deeply, that honest, decent behaviors may be lost forever. I just can’t seem to forgive the Republicans and those who vote for them. The current situation is so far beyond business as usual. It’s not just “politics”. It’s a threat to American Democracy.

Holograph
A holograph is a photographic plate that when it breaks every piece holds the image of the whole within it.
What if our experience of life is a holograph in which the forms of the broken pieces – another person, a grain of sand, a leaf – don’t matter because the reality of the Whole is in each one? That every aspect of the power we call ‘God’ is contained in every aspect and form of the holograph of our experience. That there is no opposite, no enemy, no evil. What need for hate, fear and punishment then? Spirit Tech can help experience this.
