New Adult author.... ME!
Dawn Pendleton is a new adult author currently residing in New England with her husband and their pup, though she has immediate plans to move to Georgia and promptly become a Southern Belle. When she isn't staring at a blank page, willing the words to jump from her head to the screen, she's usually playing on her iPhone, reading a book, or taking pictures with her fancy camera (which she has no idea how to use). Her newest release, the first novella in the Best Friends Forever Series, was an idea that occurred to her back in February, when she first started writing. She wasn't at a place where she could write them, though, so she started her Broken Series, instead. Through this past Summer, the BFF series emerged in her head, taking more space until she finally had to let them out. Liar, Liar, the first episode in the series, released this past Tuesday and is free on all retailers except Amazon.
Liar, Liar
Hazel is a freshman at Coastal Carolina and looking forward to making new friends. When she meets Roman, sheâs head over heels for him. Thereâs one problem, though: heâs still hung up on Hazelâs roommate, Cheyanne. But Cheyanne has a secret, one that has the potential to ruin her life in college. When Hazel learns the secret, sheâs determined to use it against Cheyanne to win over Roman. She never imagines her plan could backfire, leaving her as a pariah among her new circle of friends.
The BFF series follows the lives of new adults, Hazel, Miranda, Cheyanne, Destiny, Audric, Nolan, Andre, and Roman. Follow their stories as the first season of novellas are released once a week from September to March.

Jaden is the pen name of a girl living on the prettiest farm in British Columbia. She shares her space with her husband, her children, and an Irish Wolfhound named Tiberius. Sarah Miller is known as a dreamer in her stifling Mennonite community, but she's hiding something from them all. A simple wish to avoid the strictly enforced life path expected of her... early marriage, babies, and work on the farm.
She wants more, so much more. Education, travel, love... sex...
A chance at university hundreds of miles away is too much to pass up, so she follows her best friend Naomi and decides to take her future into her own hands.

Monday Again!
So, it's Monday, and I've definitely kicked off the week with a bang! Last night was a crazy evening of trying to figure out iTunes to upload Liar, Liar! Which means it will most likely be live before actual release, so keep your eyes peeled! I am really excited about this novella!
Okay, so back to Monday... I woke up at five am and thought, I must be crazy! And just to prove it, I got dressed and took a walk! With hubby and the dog by my side, we walked for a mile (I even jogged part of it)!! Daisee, my adorable puggle, is exhausted:
She hates having her picture taken, too, but oh well! Anyway.... The walk was invigorating and I've been at work now for 4.5 hours, which is amazing! I've gotten so much done and I feel so energized! I highly recommend getting active!
Okay, so back to author stuff...
Liar, Liar will be release Sept 17 on all outlets, so watch for it! The next novellla in the series will be released one week later, and so on and so forth. There will be a break at Thanksgiving and probably a two week break at Christmas, since I will be doing som traveling and what not. But other than that, you can expect one "episode" every week! It's so exciting and I cannot wait for you all to fall in love (and possibly hate) these characters as much as I do!
Broken Pieces is the third and final book in the Broken Series and will be published on schedule the first week of December! I think you'll all enjoy it, too (or so I hope).
Okay, I have to get back to writing or my editor might kill me! Come back tomorrow for the NA Authors Fall Promotion, where you can enter to win a paperback copy of Kate Roth's, The Low Notes!

NA Author: Jade Eby!
Once upon a time, there was a little girl who fell in love with books. Then she grew up to write her own.
Jade has participated in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) six times and enjoys copious amounts of coffee. When she's not writing, she enjoys trashy reality T.V. and reading everything she can get her hands on.
Mommy to two dogs and two naughty kitties, she feels like she might be on her way to having a zoo. You can find her on almost every social networking site that aids in her procrastination.
Nothing stays hidden forever.
Kara Pierce has held onto the same dream since she was a little girl: to be the next Katie Couric.
Vince Gage, a budding filmmaker whose I-don't-give-a-shit attitude cancels out his char,. almost ruined it for her once, and now he's back, threatening to do it again.
When the two of them are paired together for a college competition with a $20,000 prize, the only thing they agree on is winning.
They return to Iowa where Kara grew up to research her grandfather's service in World War II, instead they find themselves in the middle of a family scandal kept quiet for far too long.
As Kara and Vince investigate the scandal deeper, they realize the price of uncovering the truth is so much more than they bargained for.

Running through a strange forest with a bloodthirsty demon hot on her heels wasn't Taylor's idea of a rockin' evening. Then again, neither was soaring backward through time and space. Time travel chafed and left a rank, nasty aftertaste. So, when she finds herself floundering amidst a sea of Commandment-loving holy rollers who fling accusations of witchcraft and bedevilment like hotcakes in a diner, finding her way home jumps to the top of her to do list. Too bad she can't remember who she is or where she came from. And if that wasn't bad enough, Taylor has to fall for the mysterious Latin warlock living on the edge of Salem Village and who comes to her rescue, Gabriel Castillo. Battling an identity crisis and lost in a time that's not her own, Taylor is determined to find her way back to twenty-first century Hanaford Park. But first, she and Gabriel must work together to uncover the dark scourge lurking in Salem's shadows, and in doing so, save their own lives, and the lives of countless innocents from a lethal date with the hangman's noose. My Tech-Free Weekend!
If you know anything at all about me, you know I'm addicted to my cell phone, my computer, and anything with technology. But this past weekend, I shut off my phone, left my computer at home, and went tech-free! In fact, the only technological piece of equipment I had was my camera, and that's just so I have some memories!
We drove up after my hubby got out of work on Friday afternoon, ready to start the weekend! Once we hit the dirt roads, we stopped for a drink.
We didn't do much Friday night, except hang out by the fire and enjoy the view.
And what a view it was! These photos show how cloudy it was for part of the trip, but the sun was out most of the time and it was so great! We went up with two other couples and had lots of fun!
Part of the pontoon was broken, so we couldn't take it out, but we fished off it a few times. Caught lots of sunfish and even a few catfish!
These frogs were so cool. Aside from the fact that they were HUGE, they weren't afraid of anything. You could walk right up to them and they wouldn't jump away. They were like statues. But they only came out at night.
At one point, everyone left camp to go do something and I hauled out a notebook and tried to write. This was my view while I wrote:
This is the camp we stayed at. It's a three bedroom place, on the small side, but considering we spent all our time outside, it was perfect for the six of us.
There was no running water, no electricity. We used an outside and propane lights and flashlights to see at night. If you've never gone to a place like this, I highly recommend it. You'll find out just how much you take for granted in your everyday life. We had to boil water to take showers and do dishes (showers were done in one of those shower tents and a battery-powered shower pump), as well as cook everything on the grill or in our friend's propane-powered smoker (those ribs were damn good!).
I don't go tech-free often, mostly because I'm so attached to technology, but I encourage everyone to do it, at least once. And don't cheat! You'll find out so much about yourself, about the people around you, and truthfully... you'll enjoy yourself. I had more fun (even with a sunburn) this weekend than I've had all Summer! I spent quality time with people I adore, and came home with some amazing memories.
Tomorrow, I start my new Fall Promotional group, which will feature two authors a week (Tuesdays & Thursdays) and go through December. Los of giveaways going on, too, so be sure to check that out!
Have a great Labor Day!!!
