Random Tuesday
Is it really only Tuesday? The first two days of this have dragged on like no other week in my life. And it's not like there's nothing going on - I'm super busy with my WIP's and reserving rooms at my upcoming signings! It's been fantastic.
But I guess this little heat wave we are currently in the middle of is getting to me. Ugh. And my office doesn't have an A/C, so it's hot. And I have a headache. It's just been a crazy week.
And it's only Tuesday.
Double Ugh!
So how about a teaser to get you through this ridiculous weather? Here is an excerpt from Broken Dreams.

I turned to face him, searching his silver eyes with mine. “I love you,” I blurted.
His eyes went wide, his skin pale. For a second, I wondered if it was too much for him. But true to his nature, Baker plastered on his signature grin and winked at me.
“I love you, too,” he pledged. He tipped his head toward me and pressed his lips to mine. His touch ignited a fire within me and I wrapped my arms around his neck. “Easy,” he said again with a laugh. “We have plenty of time for that later. But if we don’t leave right now, we’re going to miss our reservation, and that would be a shame.”
He disentangled himself from my grasp, tightened his tie, and grabbed my hand to lead me back to the elevator outside our suite. The elevator ride was spent with me standing there, looking flushed and on fire while his thumb rubbed soothing circles across the top of my hand. Even when we weren’t speaking, he was comforting me.

Monday, Monday...
So, I recorded a video this morning to put on Youtube, and it was sooo bad. Like, my hair is messed up and I coughed like 100xs, and it was just NO GOOD. So I'm doing a regular blog post because I did like two takes and still had problems. But, you can get all the juicy stuff right here...
First, a HUGE thank you to everyone out there who has downloaded a free copy of Broken Promises or purchased a copy of Broken Dreams! These books are my livelihood. And they are climbing the charts and I'm just so thankful! Seriously, from the bottom of my heart... you're awesome!
In honor of this chart-climbing, I'm doing a giveaway! You can comment on THIS blog post, and tell me your favorite author (it definitely doesn't have to be me), and the first FIVE comments will receive free signed bookmarks! Yay. I will also do another giveaway on Wednesday based on the people who comment here and give away TWO ecopies of Broken Dreams! Wooo! So, leave a comment, tell me who your fave author is, and leave your email address, please, so I can contact you if you win!
Okay, so Summer's Ghost is progressing beautifully, so I almost think it might be released before the zombies series, because I'm changing up the zombie thing and I've actually joined up with someone else to write it, so we'll see how it plays out. I'll keep you as up-to-date as possible.
I promised pictures on my website of real places on the video blog I did on Friday, and I haven't posted them yet... Mostly because the photos I had have managed to disappear completely! I'm not impressed. I'm sure I have them somewhere, but I must not have labeled the folder I put them in properly. I mean, I have something like 30k photos... it's hard to shuffle through them all, trust me. So the plan is to get back out and take pictures this week of the places I want to share with you! So be patient.
You'll notice a little difference in the tabs at the top of the page! It's mostly because I want each book/series to be more direct, and then you guys can click through and see what you want.
I'm so tired, you guys! I've been up since six, which wouldn't be such a big deal if I didn't go to bed until after 2... What a long night!
Okay, I've rambled enough. So comment this post with your fave author and email address,

A Day in the Life of Michelle Lynn
Michelle Lynn was always a reader but has become completely addicted since her husband bought her a Kindle for Mother's Day. A day she is sure he regrets on a regular basis. Especially when she has it propped up next to the stove while she
cooks dinner or the glow that wakes him up when he rolls over at three in the
morning. He does agree she uses this gift more than any other from
him. She has wanted to write a novel since she could remember but conquering her own self-doubt and fear of failure she always pushed it aside.
With the encouragement of her family she just debuted her first novel Love Me Back on April 22, 2013. Her love of writing might be a contender against her love
for reading. She loves developing the characters she hopes you fall in
love as much as she has.
She resides in Illinois with her husband and two kids. When she isn't writing
or reading she can be found playing with her kids, talking to her mom on the
phone or hanging out with her family and friends.

Updates & such...
Okay, so I know how excited everyone is about Broken Dreams, and honestly, ICANNOT WAIT for everyone to read this story! Rainey & Baker have taken over my mind for the last few months and it's been amazing. Now that it's finished, though, I'm anxious to get it out in the world. Sooo... I am upping my release date. To today. Like right now. You can get BD on your kindles (and other ebook apps) by following this link:
http://www.amazon.com/Broken-Dreams-Series-ebook/dp/B00DUPVJP2/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1373466451&sr=8-14&keywords=dawn+pendleton
What! Go get it!
No lies... that's the truth! I got it back from the editor much sooner than I originally thought I would, and that means that I have been going over the edits, adding a few things here and there, and getting the book to YOU.
Pardon me while I go throw up... (Pushing publish never gets any easier)
In other news, I am going through the process of reediting Broken Promises, since there have been a few reviewers who mentioned spelling/grammar errors. My hope is to have a new version loaded and ready to go by Friday, as well, so be sure to download the most up-to-date version. There won't be any new things added to the story, so if the errors don't bother you, you aren't going to miss out on the story.
Broken Promises will continue to be free for the month of July, as promised. I may even keep it free longer, but I'm not sure. So get your copy this month, because I am not making any promises about August!
I am changing up release dates for future novels... Summer's Ghost was supposed to be next, but a YA series that has been consuming me has completely taken over! It's called the Night Lurkers series, and you guessed it - it's about zombies! Or something close to zombies... there's a lot of drama, action, and adventure! It's something different for me, since it doesn't have any real romantic edge to it, but I am hoping you'll all like it. Each book in the series will be a novella, around 25k-30k words, so they won't be super long, but I plan to have at least three of them out this year, the first one in September (with the second and third coming out in October & November)!
Once the first Night Lurker novella has hit, I plan to set a release date for Summer's Ghost, my stand-alone paranormal new adult contemporary romance (wow, that's a lot of classification) - it should be released in late-September!
And the last book of this year will be Broken Pieces, the third and final book in the Broken series, which will be about Gabby & Wolfe (I've saved my two favorites for last). And I will publish that in December.
So that's it for the year, and I can't wait to get all these books out to you! Have some patience and I promise it'll be worth it!

Broken Dreams Teaser #2
Well, I am now in the process of going through all the edits my editor added to Broken Dreams, so I thought I would share another teaser for you all! This one is short, but hopefully you find it as amusing as I do!!!
I watched Rainey’s head sway forward as she slept where she sat. It was hilarious. I stood at the far end of the bar, smiling like an idiot as I watched her nod off. I knew it was late, but I couldn’t help how late I had to work. Besides, she knew I would make it worth it when we got back to my place. My plan is to do Teasers every Monday until I publish! So that means you guys have 3 more teasers coming at you! Once I've gone through these edits, I will have a longer teaser ready for you next Monday!
When her head tipped up, though, my heart stopped. She fell backward off the barstool and fell flat on her back. I was at her side in an instant.
“Are you okay?” I asked.
Her eyes fluttered open and she looked confused. “Baker? What
happened?”
“You fell asleep at the bar,” I told her. I put my hand gently under her neck and she winced. “Where does it hurt?”
“Ugh. Everywhere,” she said with a groan. “I think I broke my ass.”
