Good and bad
The verdict:
The Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund (TLDEF) today hailed the verdict in the court trial of Lateisha Green, a 22-year-old African American transgender women who was shot and killed on November 14, 2008 in Syracuse, NY. After you read this week's update:
Does Xio Voe have a good point, or should he just get over himself? Discuss.

Hmm
My site seems to be down. The host site seems to be down, too, so it's not just me.
Fingers crossed for a quick and easy fix.

New neighbor
T.I.'s living in Arkansas! I had no idea.
(Insert jokes here about how out of the loop I am. Comments about the loop, myself, and the distance between us are entirely appropriate.)
It turns out (and everyone else seems to have known this since at least May) that the federal facility T.I.'s being held in is a low-security place in Arkansas. (Forrest City, between Little Rock and Memphis.)
I have a new neighbor!
His address is on-line. Kim wants to send him mail.

ITL
Diamond and I were talking about ITL, and about how being rebuffed by Xio Voe is like being beaten with the Stick of Rejection. And then Diamond suggested that, more than a stick, it's a heavy mallet.
The thought of Xio Voe actually picking up the Heavy Mallet of Rejection to fend off admirers actually amused me, so here I am, sharing it with you.

Camera
Any tips on where to get a cheap digital camera? Ideally, I want something that takes a CF or SD memory card, something from which I can upload the photos to my computer. Something cheap. Did I mention cheap?
Any store and/or website recommendations?

Tuesday night
Caught the memorial on MySpace today. Came in right at the end; they were playing it on a continuous loop, so I just kept watching. Went through about five tissues. Really enjoyed hearing the personal stories. Had a lot of good moments. I'd planned to avoid it, but I'm glad that I watched it.
I fell apart towards the end. All of those people up onstage, the traditional parade of kids, everyone singing along, and no Michael. It was a classic Michael moment, and he wasn't there, and he'll ne
