Twits
So, the Backstreet Boys asked me, "How can we get some more followers and rule the world?"
I immediately started to brainstorm.
Then they said, "Hmm..what if each of u tells a friend 2 join twitter + follow us, then we could double our #'s. Wonder if ya'll could do that?"
I was like, wait, I don't know whom to ask, what can I do? And then Diamond smacked me in the back of the head, and I was like, oh, right! I just happen to know about 20,000 Backstreet fans! I'll ask them!

ITL
This week's update of "In This Land" should be up soon, barring unforeseen complications. It's another festival day, so be sure to wear festive attire. Purple, of course, is preferred, but optional.

Happy birthday
Happy birthday,
mc_cart_ny!
(Dude, I missed mc_cart_ny's birthday. I'm tripping. I have to get my schedule under control.)

Web page versus website
A website is like a house. The home page is the front door.
A big website like MySpace is like a mall. Your MySpace page is like a little shop in the mall.
But your MySpace page isn't a website. It's a web page. MySpace itself is the site, and you have a page on MySpace.
A website is myhouse.com. A web page is myhouse.com/green.html. That's a page (green.html) on the larger site (myhouse.com).
I'd say more, but I think that about covers it. I shall now forage for food.

Saturday
Looks like I'll be standing outside for four hours.
Don't have a book with me this time.
Maybe I can take a notebook and jot down story notes or something.

@
Everyone, gather 'round. Let's work this out.
When you see an @ symbol, you're looking at an e-mail address.
name@yahoo.com
person@aol.com
this_is_an_email_address@hotmail.com
That's an e-mail address. When you're writing e-mail, you enter that into the "to" section. You can't type it in and go there the way you'd type in "google.com" or "youtube.com" or "matthewhaldemantime.com." It's an e-mail address, not a web address.

I no longer have a P.O. box. Long story short: it's an additional expense. And it creeps me out, having people think that they know where I live.
There have been four different boxes, at least, and right from the beginning I got one in a different city, specifically because I don't want random Net strangers to know where I live. But people think that it tells them where I live, anyway. (Okay, yes, you probably got the state right.)
I've sometimes gone to pick the mail up myself and sometimes h
