A Moment Of Doonsebury History
A moment of Doonsebury history (February 05, 1972) for today:
http://www.gocomics.com/doonesbury/1972/02/05
Too bad they won’t let me link direct any way that I can figure out. That would have made this post a bit more interesting.

Thought The Supermoon Was Great? Wait Until Tomorrow!
Oh, you thought the supermoon was cool? Well, you haven’t seen anything yet. Tomorrow the moon is going to join up with the other moons from all other other planets in the solar system (along with a couple satellites and some guys who have nothing better to do). They’re going to combine to form ultramegamegasupermoon and go off into the galaxy to fight the Galactic Nastybeast
This won’t happen again for at least 100,000 anti-matter leap years, so don’t miss it.

Facebook Is Drunk Texting People
Facebook, what made you think it would be a good idea to suddenly start sending me notifications through text message? Seriously, I didn’t even know you had my phone number and suddenly, never having received a text from you before, I was suddenly getting one for each and every notification I received. What made you think this would go over well?
Seriously, I don’t even have it set up to email me on more than one or two things. Why did you think I needed a text for each notification? Why would you do that without me specifying?
Do you know that I already get all those notifications through the app itself?
(I’m not actually sure Facebook knows this. Why else would they do something like this?)
I’m telling you, this was horribly handled. I didn’t even want you having my phone number in the first place. Upon this happening, wherever you got my number, I took it right off. Clearly you can’t be trusted with it.
There is almost no quicker way to tick me off than to start pointlessly bothering me like this.

Apocalypse All the Time Available For Pre-order!
Apocalypse All the Time (my new novel forthcoming January 1, 2017 from Literary Wanderlust) is now available for pre-order!
Print can be pre-ordered at the publisher’s web site, the ebook can be pre-ordered at Amazon. It won’t be much longer now!
Doesn’t it seem as if someone issues a new apocalypse prediction every week? Y2K? The Mayan apocalypse? The Rapture? Doesn’t it seem endless? As opposed to the traditional trend of post-apocalyptic literature, Apocalypse All the Time is post-post-apocalypticism. Marshall is sick of the apocalypse happening on a weekly (if not daily) basis. Life is constantly in peril, continually disrupted, but nothing significant ever happens. The emergency is always handled. Always. Marshall wants out; he wants it all to stop…one way or another. Apocalypse All the Time explores humanity’s fascination with the end times and what impact such a fascination has on the way we live our lives.

What If Spaghetti Comes To Life And Kills Us All?
What if spaghetti comes to life and kills us all? Why is no one worried about these things?
I, for one, welcome our new pasta overlords.

This Was Never As Popular As Badgers
I don’t think this was ever quite as popular as the Badgers one. I’ve certainly never heard anyone mention this one, and I’ve heard plenty mention Badgers. Looking at the stats, both of these were posted 8 years ago, and Badgers has 13 million more views.
Not sure why, they both seem as fun, silly, and surreal. This has slightly more linear sense to it, but not much.
I like ’em both.
