Why Is This A Thing?

They say necessity is the mother of invention. That doesn’t explain this.

Did someone really need sliced hot dogs? Was that really a problem to make? Why is this a thing?

Cyanide & Happiness Has Conditioned Me To Listen To Their Theme Music

Cyanide & Happiness has conditioned me to listen to their theme music. You know Cyanide & Happiness, right? Tremendously wrong and funny comic?

They do weekly video shorts. I’ve watched quite a few over the years. They have a theme music that plays at the end. Given the short size of the videos, the theme music can actually take up a decent amount of the run time. Usually I’d just close out when a video like that was over, but every once in a while there’s something additional in the middle of the theme music. They haven’t done that in quite a while, but I watch all the way to the end so as not to miss anything.

I am apparently easily trained.

Wasn’t Chicken Boo Just A Humorous Externalization Of The Impostor Syndrome?

Remember the Chicken Boo bits on Animaniacs? Wasn’t that just a humorous externalization of the imposter syndrome? Think about it, part of the theme went “You wear a disguise to look like human guys, but you’re not a man, you’re a Chicken Boo.”

The main plot revolved around that, Chicken Boo dressing up as something and being successful (though he just seems to be standing there, not actually doing anything or even fully sentient perhaps), only to be exposed as just a chicken at the end of each segment. Each and every time. Isn’t that what we’re all worried about, that we wear a disguise to look like human guys, but we’re not a man, we’re a “Chicken Boo.”

It might have been funny and a seemingly endless formulaic repetition on a gag theme, but that’s the imposter syndrome all over. It worries us. It’s more than just an odd gag.

The Sound Of This Is Very Soothing

The sound of this is very soothing. I can just sit and listen to this in the background and feel my blood pressure go down.

I must have grown up in the 80s. I should play it again some time.

I’m Not Writing Another Post For That

I sometimes write and schedule multiple posts ahead of time. For the most part, this doesn’t cause any problems. They still go live at the appropriate time and no issues. However, due to the scheduling controls, sometimes one gets confused. For example, yesterday I noticed that two posts went live instead of one.

What to do? Both went live. Leave them and write a new one? Heck no, that’s too much work. I only had evidence that one had been seen yet, so I popped in and fixed the other so it hadn’t published yet and would the next day. Fixed. It would be a repeat, but so what? Better that than having to come up with an idea for yet another post.

In fact, I thought I’d even milk it into yet another post talking about it. Shhhhhh.

I Just Hate This Guy

I just hate this guy. Whatever. He irritates the crap out of me.

Anything he says that could possibly be of any value gets so drowned out in the garbage that I wish I would never hear about him at all. That’s why I’m talking about him, of course.

Relaxing Animated GIF For Meditation

Here’s a relaxing animated gif for meditation. Slowly, in with the good air and out with the bad air. In with the good air, out with the bad air.

Aren’t you more serene now?

I’m Craving Ramen Again

I’m craving ramen again. Given how sick I got of it from the endless packages of microwave ramen I’ve eaten over the years, this doesn’t make sense.

My brain keeps telling me it’s different at a restaurant though. It tells me I want it.
