This AI-Generated TikTok Video is Earning $1000/Day

electricfinger0electricfinger0TikTok Channel $1000 estimated daily commissions Published July 11, 2024 by Niall DohertyContributor: Nathaniel Lewis

The first image in the following 44-second TikTok video isn’t exactly safe for work, but you might want to watch it anyway 😱

It’s an AI-generated video touting the benefits of a health supplement for men, with an affiliate link so people can buy it.

The video has racked up more than 5 million views in ~3 months and Kalodata estimates that it has earned $77.7K in commissions over a recent 30-day period (screenshot).

So it has likely earned $270K+ total since publishing 💰

Even if their commission is only 30%, that’s still about $1000 per day from an AI generated video on a channel with only 11K followers.

I found that video after listening to a segment on a recent MFM podcast…

(17:39) Idea: $100K/day opportunity with TikTok Shops…

Australian entrepreneur Sabri Suby talked about low-budget, faceless, AI-driven TikTok accounts making big money via affiliate marketing 🤑

I didn’t find any making $100K/day like Sabri claimed. But still, there’s clearly good money to be made here.

Basically, you’d use a tool like Kalodata to find top performing TikTok Shop products and the highest performing videos from affiliates 👀

You’d then model a video’s script, use ElevenLabs to create an AI voice for narration, and use an AI image generator like Midjourney to create images that can be combined into a video.

Put it all together and you get a video like the one linked above.

⚠ BIG DISCLAIMER ⚠

The supplement in that video sounds sketchy and you should consult with your doctor before taking it.

Also, if you’re going to try earning money this way, please only promote products that you truly believe will help people 🙏

A good rule of thumb: if you wouldn’t recommend it to your grandma, you shouldn’t recommend it to strangers on the internet.

$1000 in 2 Weeks Via WhatsApp Groups

Ayush PoddarAyush PoddarFounder of WhatList $1000 revenue in 2 weeks Published July 8, 2024 by Fardeen KhanReviewed and edited by Niall Doherty

Ayush Poddar is the founder of WhatList, a CRM solution for WhatsApp 💬

The origin story

I joined more than 30 groups and communities on WhatsApp way back in 2019…

I realised that I could get my first 25 users for any startup if I engage with group members effectively…

That’s why I created Whatlist, a tool to help me build more contacts quickly on WhatsApp and scale my conversations.

Elsewhere, Ayush reveals to have earned $1,000 via this tool in only 2 weeks 🤑

He explains the benefits…

1. I can now find out the most active members in any group, based on their engagement in the group.

2. I can get a summary of discussions in the group in the last 30 days, 15 days, and so on

3. I can also find the most asked questions in a group and answer them to trigger conversation.

4. I can find the groups where I have interacted in the last 30 days / not interacted in the last 30 days

I wonder if a similar tool could be built for another chat app, like Telegram 🤔

You could also use WhatList to promote your product or service – subtly, of course – or to build an army of Super Sharers.

However, best be cautious with services like WhatList.

I recently shared the story of ReplyGuy which turned out to be non-compliant with Reddit’s TOS 😕

Although Lancepilot is similar to WhatList, but marketed as “Meta Compliant Software” and they have a lifetime deal on AppSumo (aff link).

These Tailwinds Helped Him Build & Sell For 6-Figures

Daniel ChDaniel ChSerial Entrepreneur $100,000+ sale of Simple.Ink Published July 8, 2024 by Fardeen KhanReviewed and edited by Niall Doherty

Hazel Lim recently profiled Daniel Ch, a 26-year-old startup founder who’s built multiple software businesses.

One of them was Simple.Ink, a Notion website builder, which Daniel sold for 6 figures 💰

He has since acquired ThumbnailTest and runs SignHouse and r/SaaS.

📝 Hazel writes…

One of his first successful startups, Legit Check is a productised luxury brand authentication service for items like watches and sneakers…

As he had a knack for being able to tell a genuine branded sneaker from a fake one (as you do at 19!), he created a project to share guides to help others spot imitation brands…

So Daniel basically started with some simple guides, shared them for free online, and attracted a ton of people to his site 👀

Then he offered a related service and made $200,000 in the first year.

Given that experience, Daniel strongly believes that…

You should build your distribution first, before writing a single line of code (or no code).

In other words, build an audience first – or figure out a reliable way to attract eyeballs – before you go to the trouble of crafting a product or service.

Hazel adds 👇

[Daniel] said something interesting – that his second startup, Simple.Ink, succeeded only because he was building on top of a tailwind…

A tailwind is an external advantage that accelerates your progress and success. It could be a growing market trend, tech adoption changes or anything that means the market you’re operating in is growing fast.

🏄‍♂️ Daniel was riding a few tailwinds with Simple.Ink…

1. No-code was growing. Technical and non-technical people alike were all exploring no-code tools.

2. Everyone was building side hustles post-Covid.

3. His personal Twitter account blew up, going from 300 to 10,000 followers in 9 months.

4. But most importantly, Notion was taking off. People love using Notion to build simple websites.

So Daniel bet on the rise of Notion back in 2022 and eventually sold Simple.Ink for that six-figure sum 🥳

Not that it was a walk in the park, but…

With tailwind behind him, every effort he put in was multiplied by the simple fact that the market was growing.

With that in mind, what are the current tailwinds or popular trends in your niche?

Could be related to…

AIAutomationShort-form video

Could you leverage those somehow? 🧐

Quit His Job And Made 2 Sales of $15,000

DeepakDeepakFounder of LeanMVP $30,000 in ~6 months Published July 8, 2024 by Fardeen KhanReviewed and edited by Niall Doherty

Deepak from India 🇮🇳 is the founder of LeanMVP, an web development agency where they partner with non-technical founders to bring their ideas to life.

He recently posted on Reddit…

Made my second f***ing sale of $15k with my agency business

📝 There he writes…

A few months back, I quit my full-time software engineering job, where I was making $5k a month.

I started my business to help founders build their products by partnering with them as a Tech Founder.

After two months of getting everything on the road, I closed my first deal of $15k, where I am working with a founder who is building an AI-based A/B testing tool for websites, graphics, and sales copywriting.

Today, I am closing my second deal of $15k more, where I will be helping a non-technical founder build Wedding Planner software.

Looks like he charges a flat $15K to develop the first working version of the product and then plans on charging a monthly retainer to maintain the software 😎

When asked how he finds clients…

I got my first client through Reddit, initially they hired us for just the landing page but trusted us with our work, and signed the complete project contract.

Checking through his profile, he has commented on a lot of people’s queries for projects and offered help, so he likely found that first client by doing this repeatedly 💬

So Deepak is basically working as a “fractional technical partner” for non-technical founders.

Could you do something similar? 🤔

If you’re not all that technical, maybe you could be a fractional partner for…

MarketingFinanceOperationsStrategyComplianceHR

Or something else entirely.

And you don’t have to start with $15K projects. You can start small and increase your rate over time 📈

This Strategy Helped Grow His Newsletter to 130K Subs

📈 Chenel Basilio writes about a strategy Harry from Marketing Examples used to grow his newsletter to 130K+ subscribers…

He calls it “Growth Loops” — and it’s so simple, yet so genius.

It’s the opposite of conventional marketing advice: Instead of sending newsletter readers to his website only, he gets them moving around multiple platforms.

For example…

Harry sends out an email about how to make your marketing “realer”.

Instead of wasting a newsletter click on [sending subscribers to] his website, Harry shares a link in his newsletter that links over to a tweet thread.

He asks his readers (the “raving fans”) to ‘like’ his thread about that post they just read.

🔄 That results in the following loop…

1. Readers click the link and like the tweet thread
2. Which signals the algorithm that these posts are valuable.
3. Which puts it in front of more Twitter users
4. Resulting in more impressions, likes, comments, and shares.
5. This inevitably leads to more Twitter followers
6. Which leads to more newsletter subscribers

Here’s a post Harry sent out to his newsletter in 2020…

My guide to brand positioning

📝 At the end of the email he wrote…

If you’re feeling the Christmas spirit please do forward to a pal, share on Twitter, wherever.

That tweet got 173 reposts and 762 likes 😍

And likely a lot of that interaction came from Harry’s newsletter subscribers.

Chenel also shows that Harry’s newsletter and Twitter (X) have been growing at about the same rate over the years, probably due to this strategy.

Could you do something like this with two channels you use, get that flywheel spinning? 🤔

17-Year-Old Digital Nomad Living on Trains in Europe

Lasse StolleySoftware Developer €10,000+ estimated annual income Published July 4, 2024 by Fardeen KhanReviewed and edited by Niall Doherty

Lasse Stolley is a digital nomad from Germany 🇩🇪 who has been living on trains for almost two years.

He recently told the Guardian

I’m 17 and since August 2022 I have been living on trains. I grew up in a village in the north of Germany. I enjoyed travelling to Scandinavia with my parents and going on nature tours, and was also interested in computer programming.

I taught myself how to program during the pandemic and decided that was what I wanted to do for my job.

👀 It all started when Lasse saw a TV report about someone who lived on a train…

I could not get the thought out of my head. I loved the idea of having the freedom to travel anywhere in Germany every day. A few days later, I bought my first BahnCard 100, which offers unlimited travel on Germany’s national train network.

That cost him €2664 / $2860 for a year of train travel.

🚂 A typical day in Lasse’s life…

Arriving into a city between 6am and 8am on an overnight InterCity Express train.

I’ll go to the railway company’s guest lounge and eat breakfast. I’ll then have a quick wash in the bathroom, or go to the local swimming pool to shower.

Afterwards, I look at the day’s train departures and choose a destination.

How he pays for everything…

I’m a software developer at an IT startup and work about 10 hours a week.

The great thing about my job is that I can choose my own working hours. It’s not a problem if I don’t work for a day or two. I use my time travelling on the train to work, so the job fits quite well with my lifestyle.

👎 The downsides…

Living on the train means I have to do without some things that I used to take for granted.

I don’t have privacy. I have also had to reduce my possessions so that everything I own fits into a 30-litre backpack.

But the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.

🤑 Lasse says this lifestyle costs him…

… less than €10,000 a year. That sounds like a lot at first, but it’s very cheap compared with the costs of renting an apartment.

The original plan was to do this for only a year, but I have enjoyed it so much, I’ve decided to keep doing it. At the moment, there’s no end in sight.

He posted on his blog last September that he’d secured an Interrail Global Pass, which allows him to travel on trains all around Europe at a cost of €700 for 3 months.

I doubt Lasse’s lifestyle would appeal to many, but it goes to show the kind of freedom a person can have when they earn a living from their laptop 😎

Built Her Chatbot in a Weekend, Now Earning $10K/Month

Claire VoClaire VoFounder of ChatPRD $10,000+ estimated monthly revenue Published July 4, 2024 by Fardeen KhanReviewed and edited by Niall Doherty

Claire Vo is the founder of ChatPRD, which she describes as 👇

A chatbot that helps PMs write product documentation and make their product better.

(PRD = Product Requirements Document. PM = Project Manager.)

💬 Dan Shipper recently interviewed Claire and tweeted

[ChatPRD] now used by over 10,000 product managers and is pulling in six figures in revenue.

The surprising part…

She built all of ChatPRD herself—over the weekend—with AI, while working a day job.

Claire is the CPO at @launchdarkly and she originally built ChatPRD for herself—before realizing it would be valuable for her team and product managers everywhere.

Claire can code but she says using ChatGPT helped speed up the process of building 🚀

One day, she created a 5-page PRD in a few hours that took her team by surprise…

It was because I had, over the course of months, sort of prompted ChatGPT into a place where I could really work with it in a rapid fashion to get high-quality outputs that wasn’t just going to happen using plain ChatGPT.

🥳 Then the GPT Store opened up…

I thought, okay, I’m just going to drop my… prompt into the GPT store, got the great name ChatPRD… shared it with my team… they all loved it.

Claire then decided to turn it into a real product…

I dusted off VS code [Code Editor], and I was like, I think we can build this. So I built it over the course of Thanksgiving week with my kids home while they were napping…

Launched it, I think, on November 28th, so it’s six months old, and… people started buying… I started to add a little bit more features and raising the price… now I have 10,000 users on the app.

There’s a free version of ChatPRD on the GPT Store and premium pricing starts at $5/month.

Unclear how many free vs paid users there are, but apparently it’s a 6-figure business already, so likely $10,000+ in monthly revenue 💰

Claire was early into the GPT Store which probably helped her app draw eyeballs. And she says building in public has also been key, mainly via X where she has 21k followers.

Think about what Claire has done here 👇

She basically built a tool with AI to speed up her own work, then released it as a product for others to use.

Can you do something similar?

Or maybe you could team up with an expert/influencer in some niche, build a chatbot that greatly improves their workflow, then release it as a product together 🤔

Another option is to build custom GPTs for clients for a fee.

Creating GPTs is much easier than you might expect.

Here’s a good step-by-step tutorial on YouTube that walks you through an example…

How to Create Custom GPT | OpenAI Tutorial…

Note however that you still can’t monetize GPTs directly on the GPT store 😔

That’s why Claire had to crack open a code editor and build her own website + a premium version of her app.

But this is likely to change soon 👍

Hawk Tuah Merch is Earning $10,000’s

Blaine and Courtney TolerBlaine and Courtney TolerInfluencers $45,000 estimated revenue in 6 days Published July 1, 2024 by Niall Doherty

Hawk Tuah Girl is a young woman in Tennessee who went viral earlier this month when her late-night street interview was posted online 🎤

The Cut names the woman as Hailey Welch and explains…

In the video, she’s asked “What’s one move in bed that makes a man go crazy every time?” Her response is what’s made her go viral.

“You gotta give ’em that ‘hawk tuah’ and spit on that thang,” she exclaimed…

“Hawk tuah” is like, the sound of the guy in the back of an old Western saloon using a spittoon, but she’s talking about sex.

👉 the original video on YouTube, 9:52 mark for the viral moment…

As soon as the video started going viral, a merch company in Tennessee got in contact with Hailey and announced on Facebook…

I have been authorized to sell these hats after a conversation with Haliey. She will be receiving a portion of the profits from sales.

They then posted a photo of the company founder with Hailey 👀

A week later, Rolling Stone reported…

Hawk Tuah Girl Has Already Sold at Least $65,000 Worth of Merch

That was 2000 hats sold for at least $33 a pop 🤯

But it’s not just the official stuff that’s selling.

Search for “Hawk Tuah merch” on any social platform and you’ll find people trying to sell tshirts, hats, stickers, etc.

Blaine and Courtney Toler might be doing it better than anyone 😎

They have ~350k combined followers on Instagram and TikTok.

Looks like they’ve been in the merch game for a while now, and they were quick to jump on the Hawk Tuah trend, announcing a shirt for sale within a couple of days.

Price tag = $30.

Six days later, they revealed they’d sold 1500 of those shirts.

That’s $45,000 revenue 💰

Of course, the party could soon be over since Hailey may end up trademarking her famous phrase.

But it goes to show the power of having an audience and being ready to jump on the latest trend 📈

Awkward Office Custom Led Him To a $30K/Month Business

Valentin HinovValentin HinovFounder of Thankbox $30,000 monthly revenue Published July 1, 2024 by Fardeen KhanReviewed and edited by Niall Doherty

🙏 Valentin Hinov is the founder of Thankbox which he describes as…

An online appreciation platform… It’s used mostly within businesses as a way to appreciate staff occasions – events like birthdays, farewells and retirements.

It makes it super easy to set up a card for someone and let the whole team add messages and contribute funds for a gift – people can add GIFs, videos & photos.

See a sample here 👈

In a recent interview, Valentin reveals…

It’s currently making about $30-35k a month – there’s a lot of seasonality when it comes to card sending so some months are stronger than others… The business model is still very much B2C (business to consumer) with individual sales.

The cost for the consumer is $5.99 per card, or they can get discounts for buying bulk 🎁

The origin story…

Before working on Thankbox I spent 2 years building a social media app with no clear goal or direction – it never made any money or attracted investment…

Once that folded I told myself that whatever I end up doing next should only take a couple months to put together and it will be a paid product from the start.

💬 Valentin adds…

I live in Britain where everyone in the office gives cards to each other for things like birthdays, someone working 10 years at the company or someone moving job.

Everyone passes around the card and signs it but it was always a bit awkward, especially in small offices where it’s hard to keep it a surprise! Also, teammates working remotely can’t take part.

In late 2019 I decided there must be an easier way. I had a look and there were no solutions covering both cash collection for gifts as well as the message to the recipient. That’s when I realised, this is something I can make!

🚀 Initial traction…

I started tweeting about Thankbox and my partner and I started posting on LinkedIn as soon as the development kicked off in March 2020. We didn’t have huge followings but some people noticed it and became interested…

We actually had our very first sale just an hour after launching! It’s a moment I’ll never forget – making my first £4.99 online!

For the first 6 months I knew where every single Thankbox customer came from because they were either people me or my partner knew or people that our contacts had recommended us to. It wasn’t making much money but the initial feedback was invaluable to help build out the core features the product needed.

Then…

In late 2020 after giving our landing page a much-needed makeover we started running search ads and immediately saw an uptick. We went from selling 100 cards a month to 500 the next, to 1500 the one after that.

It has since grown into a $30k/month business 🤑

I love that Valentin saw an opportunity to create an e-card tool after witnessing the British culture of awkwardly passing cards around the office.

What other awkward moments do you experience at work or elsewhere? 🤔

Could you come up with a product or service to make them easier?

Subreddit To Find Ideas & Promote Your Wares

Ayush Chaturvedi tweets

Just found this amazing subreddit in @noahkagan’s book Million Dollar Weekend

r/SomebodyMakeThis

Brilliant for finding new startup ideas.

Products that people are actually asking for.

This way you will never build something nobody wants.. ever again..

Enter “app” in the search bar to filter results

You can also filter by top posts from this year.

A couple of ideas that caught my attention…

Podcasting with complete strangers whenever you wantAn app like GIFs but for snippets of songs

Also, a few people are using this to promote their products – one example, another – so it’s looking like one of those few subreddits where you won’t get banned for promoting your wares.
