Hey, I’m Niall Doherty.
I quit my last 9-to-5 job back in 2010.
Since then, I’ve earned my living online in various ways. Last year (2021) I earned $208,536 from my laptop, mostly via affiliate marketing.
I’m on a mission to accurately rate and review all the best affiliate marketing courses. My team and I have spent 500+ hours investigating these courses and getting feedback from real students.
All that to say: we know a thing or two about affiliate marketing and making money online.
The Best Affiliate Marketing Course? We’re on a mission to find the best affiliate marketing course, based on our own extensive research plus feedback from real students.
YouTube Affiliate Marketing System is a solid course but not the best we’ve seen…

How does YouTube Affiliate Marketing System help you make money?
The course aims to help create and monetize a YouTube channel via affiliate marketing.
The main idea is to review and promote various products in your YouTube videos, and get viewers to click your affiliate link in the description below each video. If someone makes a purchase via your link, you would earn a commission.
As stated on the sales page…
We will teach you how simple 10-minute YouTube videos can act as your “full-time employee” that will sell your affiliate products and earn you a commission every time.
In case you’re new to the concept, affiliate marketing is when you promote other people’s products or services, and collect a commission for every successful referral.
Learn more about affiliate marketingWho is YouTube Affiliate Marketing System for?YouTube Affiliate Marketing System sells itself primarily as a platform for novice YouTubers…
YouTube does not make it easy [for] newbies to start a channel. With so many options…one click and you can make a mistake that will cost you.
We take you step-by-step on how to create a YouTube Channel that is specifically set up for your affiliate marketing [business].
Having looked into the training myself, I would say that it’s best for complete beginners to both YT and affiliate marketing. I doubt that experienced YouTubers – or even affiliate marketers – will find much value here.
70+ ways how to make money online (including easy options)Does Kenneth Fong have a good reputation?Well, the issue here is that he doesn’t seem to have much of a reputation at all [image error]
As of this writing, Kenneth’s course is still fairly new and I’ve seen few reviews or testimonials about it.
Kenneth’s own YouTube channel is also quite small, with less than 3000 subscribers as of this writing. Sadly, he doesn’t seem to have a major social media presence elsewhere either, except for TikTok, where he has over 10k followers.
On the plus side, he does seem to know what he’s talking about when it comes to affiliate marketing on YouTube.
For example, Kenneth shows at the start of this video that he’s earning about $1000/month as an affiliate for Jasper.ai, and another $500/month as an affiliate for various products via Impact…
Are YouTube Affiliate Marketing System students getting results? Not yet.
During my research, I only managed to find one other review of Kenneth’s training, with not a single testimonial in sight.
Nevertheless, I would cut him some slack here. He seems to know what he’s doing and his course is decent. I expect we’ll see some success stories from his training in due time.
How much does YouTube Affiliate Marketing System cost?Lifetime access to Kenneth Fong’s YouTube training costs $199.
Keep in mind that you might want to put out some extra cash for screen recording software and advertising costs.
YouTube Affiliate Marketing System Discount?I’ve searched high and low for a discount or coupon code for YouTube Affiliate Marketing System, but have yet to find mention of one anywhere. However, there is a place to enter a discount code on the YouTube Affiliate Marketing System checkout.
So it looks like you’ll have to pay the full price if you want access.
Refund PolicyAccording to the Terms of Service page of Kenneth’s website, there is a 14-day refund policy.
The official word…
How is YouTube Affiliate Marketing System structured? We at RapidLevelUp want to be certain that you are happy with your course purchase. If for any reason you are dissatisfied, please contact us first and give us an opportunity to resolve any problem and make it right for you. If we are unable to resolve your issue we will issue a refund as follows: Course Refund. RapidLevelUp will issue you a full refund of a course purchase for any reason within fourteen (14) days of your purchase. Refunds will be made to your original method of payment.
Here’s what the training looks like once you log in and open one of the lessons…
[image error]YouTube Affiliate Marketing System’s core training is broken up into 5 modules. These consist of 13 video-only lessons that have a total length of ~2 hours.
Save for the final two lessons, which are nearly half an hour each, every lesson seems to last less than 10 minutes.
Despite the brevity, I found YouTube Affiliate Marketing System to be comprehensive enough for beginners to both YouTube and affiliate marketing.
It seems like there is no exclusive community for students, nor bonus materials.
I should also mention that the entire training is gamified. Every part of the course comes with action steps that reward you with experience points in hopes of making following the training more interesting. This didn’t really do anything for me, but some students might like it.
Green Lights [image error]Some positive points for YouTube Affiliate Marketing System…
Reasonable price. The training is practical and step-by-step.Lessons are short and simple, easily digestible. No overhyped promises or shady marketing.14-day refund period.Red Flags [image error]Some knocks on YouTube Affiliate Marketing System…
Lack of success stories from students.Mainly intended for beginners to both YouTube and affiliate marketing. No mention on sales page of expenses beyond the price of the training.Other things you should knowThe course is still new, which is likely the main reason why it lacks success stories from students. It also seems like Kenneth himself is somewhat new to the YouTube scene, but I believe his – and the training’s – reputation will get better with time.👇 Subscribe to eBiz Daily 👇Every weekday we email 27,100 people like you with top tips, insights and opportunities to build your online business. Should you join YouTube Affiliate Marketing System?
IMO, despite the training still being new, it looks like a solid entrance point for anyone wanting to do affiliate marketing on YouTube.
Just keep in mind that it doesn’t go very deep on the topic. Kenneth himself seems to have gotten to about $1500/month in income using the same strategies he teaches, and that’s probably the best you can expect to achieve if you follow his training and put the work in.

Booking $1000 per Month in Newsletter Ads
Published November 29, 2022 by Niall Doherty
Dylan Redekop published the first edition of his Growth Currency newsletter in January of 2021.
He committed to publishing his newsletter every week for 100 weeks.
By his 70th edition – 16 months after starting, and only a few weeks after niching down – he pulled in $1400 in a single month from ads [image error]
Check out a recent edition and you’ll see Dylan has 3 ad spots, priced like so…
Premium Ad (Top of Newsletter) — $125
Standard Ad (Middle of Newsletter) — $89
Footer Ad (End of Newsletter) — $39
If he fills each ad spot, that’s $253 earned per edition [image error]
And Dylan’s newsletter isn’t exactly huge yet, with only 1600 subscribers as of June.
Here’s how Dylan set his ad rates.

$100K/Year Content Agency (in only 5 Hours a Week)
Published November 28, 2022 by Niall Doherty
Nice feature here about Angad Singi, who has a side hustle that earns him $100,000 per year in revenue.
Angad’s content agency is called Quarks…
We help educational organisations build the content that their students love and need to excel.
One project brief was to create 1000 questions for an exam for aspiring assistant professors in [image error] Indian universities. And it needed to be done in several different languages.
Since he started the business in 2019, Angad has assembled a team of contractors to do most of the work. And he’s whittled his own time-commitment down to 5 hours per week by hiring a full-time project manager (took him a few tries to find the right person for this).
After expenses and taxes, Angad apparently takes home 30-35% of the revenue [image error]
My main takeaway from this story: leverage your past job experience to find side hustle opportunities.
Angad had worked for ed-tech companies in the past, and his first big client was a previous employer.
What experience or connections do you have that might unlock a 5-hour workweek opportunity? [image error]

$9000/Month Food Blogger (With A Full-Time Job)
Published November 28, 2022 by Niall Doherty
Shweta Garg runs a food blog called Masala and Chai [image error]
According to a recent interview, Shweta was “more of a Instagram Restaurant Blogger back in maybe 2018… I did not have a website.”
She registered her domain in February 2021 and started blogging. 18 months later, her blog pulled in $9000 in a single month, mostly via display ads [image error]
Crazy thing is, Shweta has built her blog business while holding down a full-time job as a team lead of about 15 people at a large consulting firm (very different work from blogging).
She talks at length in the interview about the sacrifices she’s made to build her business and how she’s managed her time…
There are so many times where I have gone to my friends and been like, “You know what? I know today is a Saturday, but I’ve set it aside for a blog day. I’ve already went and bought my groceries. I hope you understand. If you want to come over and watch me, hang out with me, watch TV while I do it,” whatever it is, they truly will understand. So setting these business hours for yourself, it also helps you avoid burnout.

His Side Hustle Did $10k in Its First Two Days
Dr. Kendrick ScottSuccess Coach $40,000 revenue in one monthPublished November 25, 2022 by Niall Doherty
Via Trends.co…
Dr. Kendrick Scott was a triple threat — an ex-college football player with multiple degrees, teaching business strategy full-time as a university professor, and consulting on the side with major brands.
Most would have stopped there. But Scott recently launched another side hustle, InfoAthlete, that coaches student athletes in their journey of “getting to, and through, college,” and transitioning into careers.
Apparently the business pulled in “$10k in its first two days, $20k in its first week, and $40k+ in its first month.”
And the good doctor did it without any ad spend or a big social media following.
It seems he mainly found leads for his coaching business by posting about it on his personal Facebook profile.
A post he published last May went like this…
Hello everyone I am doing interviews for my athletic coaching and consulting business If you are a parent or know someone who is trying to get exposure for their athlete to get to the next level. HMU. I want to interview you or them to understand what their needs are. I had no offers after my senior year walking across stage…within 2.5 months we had 9 full ride offers. Post here or inbox me.
I’m guessing many of those interviewees eventually became coaching clients.
A key takeaway from Dr. Scott…
Don’t underestimate the value of your personal network, or chase outside traffic before tapping connections you already have. Not only is your inner circle a great way to find those early clients, it’s also a great way to learn what value your customers think you offer.

The €600/Month Blog Post

It’s this blog post comparing AI text generators
Christian Kaiser owns the blog and explains how that one post generates €600 per month in affiliate commissions, detailing the 13 steps he took to create it.
I blog in the SaaS niche with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, among other topics. Here the affiliate commission is around 30% and is paid on a recurring subscription, monthly until the customer quits the deal. Therefore, with each new month, my affiliate income usually increases.
According to Ahrefs, Christian’s site has a domain rating of 28/100, and that particular post ranks for 44 keywords

That’s because YouTube Shorts aren’t eligible for monetization, but that is set to change in 2023.

$1000+ A Day Affiliate Site (Sold for $1 Million)
Bernard CapulongFounder of Everyday Carry $70,000 Everyday Carry approximate monthly revenuePublished November 24, 2022 by Niall Doherty
Check out EverydayCarry.com, a review and recommendation site for gear and gadgets. They rank well on Google for terms such as brightest flashlight and best pocket knife.
It started as a Tumblr blog back in 2009 by Bernard Capulong.
Bernard remains the site’s editor in chief, but the site was recently sold for $1 million
The new owner reports that the site makes “$1000+ every day” from affiliate commissions, mainly linking to products on Amazon.
But that’s not even the biggest revenue stream for the business, with “one off ad sales” making up “over 50% of the revenue.”
So the site is doing around $70K in total revenue each month
Not bad for something that started as an “outlet for [Bernard] to share his favorite headphones or pliers.”

Hey, I’m Niall Doherty.
I quit my last 9-to-5 job back in 2010.
Since then, I’ve earned my living online in various ways. Last year (2021) I earned $208,536 from my laptop.
I’m on a mission to accurately rate and review all the best online business courses. My team and I are spending many hours investigating these courses and getting feedback from real students.
All that to say: we know a thing or two about such courses and making money online.
The Best Freelance Writing Course? We’re on a mission to find the best freelance writing course, based on feedback from real students combined with our own extensive research.
Unfortunately, the Peak Freelance Membership doesn’t make the top of our list…

How does Peak Freelance help you make money?
The Peak Freelance Membership consists of a series of small courses and a community that aim to help you make a living as a freelance writer.
As described on the sales page…
Are you a freelance writer who wants to work with bigger + better clients, build a personal brand, and scale from $250/post to upwards of $1,000?
You’ll love it here.
A freelance writer usually gets paid to write articles or blog posts for the web. Freelance writing can also entail writing for print magazines, books, email newsletters, etc.
As a freelancer you would be running your own business. Clients would hire you to work on various projects.
Learn more about freelance writingWho is the Peak Freelance Membership for?Peak Freelance seems to mostly sell itself as a platform for freelance writers of all kinds and all levels of experience.
As stated on the sales page…
Peak Freelance is a membership designed for freelance writers of all kinds: email copywriters, bloggers, the lot. But, a lot of content is very freelance-based, with advice on things like handling clients and setting rates. You’ll still get some value if you’re another type of freelancer (video editor, photographer etc.)
Having seen inside the Peak Freelance’s membership, I tend to agree: most of the content provided should be relevant enough for other freelance creatives, not just writers.
70+ ways how to make money online (including easy options)Do Elise Dopson and Michael Keenan have a good reputation?Yes.
They don’t seem to have a huge audience yet, but I think that’s only a matter of time.
I’ve watched interviews with both of them. They seem like genuine people who have worked hard to achieve success in the world of freelance writing. Now they’re sharing what they’ve learned through Peak Freelance.
Below is an interview with Elise and Michael so you can get a feel for their style…
Are Peak Freelance students getting results? It’s complicated.
I did find several testimonials on the Peak Freelance Membership website.
For example…

However, these are the only two testimonials I was impressed with. IMO, the rest of the praise on the sales page rings a little hollow and lacks specifics.
I also failed to find any testimonials for the training elsewhere on the web.
Like with other Peak Freelance products, I would have expected to see far more testimonials, but found very few of them for its membership.
My guess is that Peak Freelance simply isn’t popular enough yet. But that training is pretty solid, so I’m confident in saying that students who consistently follow the materials are likely to achieve success.
How much does a Peak Freelance Membership cost? The monthly subscription fee for the Peak Freelance Membership costs £39 ($49) per month.
You can also subscribe for one year right away for £450 ($575).
In terms of additional costs to follow the training, there is very little. I did find one lesson that recommends expensive software like Ahrefs and Clearscope, but these aren’t essential.
Peak Freelance Membership Discount?I’ve searched high and low for a discount or coupon code for the Peak Freelance Membership, but have yet to find mention of one anywhere. Looks like the best you can do is opt for the one-year subscription to save a few bucks.
That said, there is a place to enter a discount code on the Peak Freelance Membership checkout.
My guess is that if Elise and Michael offer a discount or promotion, they’ll do so on some of the social media accounts for Peak Freelance.
Refund PolicyThe sales page for the Peak Freelance Membership specifies a 14-day money-back guarantee…
If you’re not happy with the course, you can get a 14-day money-back guarantee. (But we’d rather you tell us why you feel that way so we can try fix it.)
I haven’t seen anyone reporting issues getting a refund on their purchase. This could be simply because PF seems new, but since I found the training solid, I believe you can rest easy with this guarantee.
How is the Peak Freelance Membership structured? Here’s what the “community” part of PF looks like once you’re logged in…

Peak Freelance consists of a community (shown above) and a total of eight products. These products are:
A Guide to Self-Editing [eBook]An Advanced Crash Course in WritingContent Refresh HandbookContent Strategy 101Email Template Bundle for Freelance WritersMaster Your Freelance Value PropositionPitch ClassTown HallsMost of these have video lessons that are occasionally accompanied with bonuses. Some lessons last less than 10 minutes, but many are more than 30 minutes long.
Sadly, the videos aren’t segmented, and there’s no search function for Peak Freelance, so it may take you a bit of time to locate a specific lesson or part of a lesson. The video transcripts slightly remedy this, but they’re not available for all lessons.
Some of the lessons seem to be intended just for freelance writers, but the rest may be useful to other freelancers, too. The training includes evergreen topics like keyword research, updating old content, communicating with clients, etc.
Another great thing about the lessons is that the teachers give many examples whenever applicable. So it’s not just theory.
The “community” part of the training seems to be updated with a new interview, podcast or workshop every few weeks.
You also get access to a private Slack group as part of your membership…

You’ll find lots of channels in there. And while it’s not the busiest community I’ve seen for a course like this, there is a decent amount of activity and every posts seems to get several replies or reactions.
Overall, I consider the Slack group to be a nice value-add.
Green Lights
A few things to like about Peak Freelance Membership…
Minimal expense beyond the price of the training. The training is practical and step-by-step.Elise Dopson and Michael Keenan walk their talk.No overhyped promises or shady marketing.Private Slack community is a nice value-add.Red Flags
A few things about Peak Freelance Membership that might give you pause…
Recurring expense to keep access to the training.Lack of significant success stories from students. No search functionality; hard to find specific lessons.Other things you should knowYou’ll find lots of handy downloads within the training, including checklists, templates, spreadsheets, etc.The Peak Freelance Membership seems to be one of many training products offered by Peak Freelance. There is also Freelance Writing Essentials, as well as Creative Class.👇 Subscribe to eBiz Daily 👇Every weekday we email 27,116 people like you with top tips, insights and opportunities to build your online business. Should you sign up for the Peak Freelance Membership?
Similarly to Creative Class, the Peak Freelance Membership is a solid option for freelance creatives who haven’t reached their full potential.
Most of the mini courses may be quite short, but the content seems evergreen. It’s also filled with practical examples and templates to help you improve at your craft.
I’m not a fan of the recurring cost and I found the training tough to navigate at times, but I still think this is a worthwhile training for freelance writers especially.
That said, I find Freelance Writing Essentials by Peak Freelance to be better value overall.
