Shocking Upright Canine Encounter in Michigan's Eastern Upper Peninsula
I recently found the following account:
My encounter happened on deer season opening day in November of 2013 in the Eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan on family hunting property near a town called Cedarville. The house where my husband and I were staying in had a big front yard but other than that cleared area and the gravel driveway everything else is pretty deep hardwood forest. I also want to state ahead of time that this happened at around 11 pm so everything that's beyond the porch lights was pretty hard to see.
My husband and I had gone outside to have a cigarette and we took our rifle out with us whenever we were hanging around outside because there's bear and stuff back there in that area. I was up on the porch still and my husband had gone down the steps into the yard and was facing towards me when we heard these really heavy, slow footsteps coming up the driveway through the woods. It sounded like a really big man but there was this weird heavy breathing too. Even though the footsteps sounded like a person, sounded heavier than anything I had ever heard walking in the woods including full sized adult bear. My husband looked at me and mouthed "wtf?" and I was trying to figure out what it was that I was hearing. But nothing I had ever heard out there in those woods matched the size and breathing and gait of whatever this was. So I was confused and shaking my head. (My husband isn't a hunter and grew up in the city, so he was completely confused too). I've hunted and tracked basically everything that's indigenous to Northern Michigan since I was small, so I was honestly terrified that this animal was a complete unknown to me by sound.
It walked out of the tree line at the edge of the yard behind my husband and it was a lot taller than him; at least 7 foot tall or more and I'd estimate the weight for its size at around 400 pounds. It was on two legs and had super dark black fur that was somehow even darker than the night time dark of the woods. It was walking back and forth at that distance from us the whole time this encounter happened, but it would not step into where the perimeter of the porch light was. I had a really hard time making out its torso for that reason but I saw a wolf-like head and snout with pointed ears that stuck straight up. Instead of front legs and paws it had really disproportionately long arms and hands. It was on two legs this whole time walking back and forth. I freaked out and grabbed the rifle and just started shooting at it and yelling at my husband to run and get up on the porch. So he did and then he took the gun from me and told me to find something to use as a weapon and to go inside and hide, so I did. I got a big knife and went and locked myself in our bedroom in the closet and could hear my husband shooting and reloading a bunch for about another 10 minutes.
He came in and told me through the closet door that the creature had finally run off but he wasn't sure if it was going to possibly come back so we were both pretty terrified. I ended up staying in that closet all night until sunrise with my husband guarding the door with the gun. He told me that he thought I had hit it when I was shooting at first but the next day we didn't find any blood or hair or anything which I thought was weird because I really thought I must have shot and wounded it a couple times. It moved incredibly fast though and was agile enough to run through the brush and stuff without really mowing it down or making a bunch of noise like big animals usually do running through dense underbrush and stuff. The whole encounter was incredibly weird and scary. My husband also said that he did see it sort of hunch over and drop down onto all fours a few times while it was running back and forth at the edge of the yard, but that when it ran away for good that night that it was running insanely fast and on two legs like a man. We didn't smell anything bad like a lot of people describe when they see these things and it didn't even leave any noticeable tracks anywhere even though the thing was so heavy when it was walking up the gravel driveway that I swore the ground near it must have been shaking.
We found out later from one of the neighbors that he had seen it too next door the winter before when it came up on the porch of his cabin and looked in the door window during a party he and his wife had been throwing. He said he heard really heavy footsteps on the porch and pulled back the curtain on the window and the creature was standing there on the other side of the glass looking down at him but that it's fur was white then. I think that's probably because there was snow on the ground at this point in the year. My neighbor hollered at everyone in the cabin and told them what he had just seen and then everyone decided to make a run for it through the woods to his mom's house next door since her place was a lot sturdier than the hunting cabin. I've known that neighbor my whole life practically since high school and he would never make something like that up. He was scared even while he was just talking about it. I also read somewhere online recently that another family about 45 miles north of our area had a bunch of livestock like cows and horses turn up dead and torn up by some kind of big predator. One of the guys in the family saw a giant upright wolf back near his hunting blind during deer season, which of course freaked me out since we had our experience on the season opener. The land butting up to that family's property is hundreds of miles of the Hiawatha National Forest so it would make sense to me that a big animal would hide in and near a protected area like that when it's hearing gunshots everywhere else. My lot and my neighbors lot also are right alongside state land.
My husband and I moved since this all happened but the experience was so upsetting to me that I constantly research online to see if anyone else has seen this thing up north and what their encounter was like and stuff. I've even heard that there's a small pack of about 4 or 5 of them that live in state forest downstate in Isabella County. A bunch of locals in the nearby area have seen and that somebody even saw one at night in downtown Saginaw, Michigan. What scares me about that is the fact that there's no tree cover there as that's a city. I wonder if people all over the state are seeing these animals because they're getting forced out of their usual hunting territories due to hunting, logging and mining that's really increased over the years here. Tall Yellow-Eyed 'Silver' Humanoid Described by Experiencers
“I woke up extremely early one day, around 6 am. I rose my head up from the pillow and walking by my open bedroom door I saw what I now call the 'Silverman.' He was tall, at least 6 ft, had pretty long arms, had no discernible body features, had yellow eyes, and was entirely silver. When I say no discernible features I mean he had no joints, no facial features, no creases, no wrinkles, entirely smooth. His head was connected by a neck that widened out slightly like a peanut. He didn’t have a chin. No overhanging hinges or body parts. No hair. As he walked by he was slouched heavily. Despite how tall and heavy he looked to me he only made soft footsteps. As he walked past and left my vision I heard his footsteps continue for only a few more steps before I never heard him again. I basically forgot about this in a few days and chalked it up to being tired.
Today my friend told me about a creepy thing that happened to him and he reminded me of the Silverman. We both tried figuring out if anyone else has seen a Silverman. There was one story from Britain. An engineer was coming home one day from work when he saw a tall silver humanoid walking down a hill. He said it was slouching so greatly and walking so fast that a human would just fall over. When it got the street where the engineer then slammed his brakes, they stared at each other. The silver humanoid had yellow eyes. After a while the humanoid shot an “energy beam” from its eyes and paralyzed the engineer in his car. He said he lost all sense of time after that. When he returned into reality his fingers were burnt and the silver humanoid broke the gaze they held. The being then walked to a fencing and melted through the other side. The engineer sped home and realized it was after midnight. When his wife asked what happened he said he saw the Silverman. I have no clue if we saw the same Silverman, but one thing is clear. Something about him is masculine. I really want to know if anyone else has seen the Silverman.” EB

Pale Humanoid Interrupts Basketball Game
“My homeboy from Chicago was playing basketball one night in the middle of the city, in a park, with two other friends. He said when they were on the opposite end of the court, a tall alien stepped out of the tree shadows and into the streetlight-lit basketball court. His other friends saw it and immediately ran and my boy turned around and like took a good look, like, making eye contact basically. He said once he realized how off the body proportions were and saw it was just like...wearing white/pale skin, no clothes, he said he got the weirdest feeling in his body and he almost involuntarily dropped the basketball and booked it out of there. These are some hard guys, like, not scared. And he said he'll remember it for the rest of his life because it was so tall and so off. He said it "gave him the chills" just to tell me about it. I believe him, that story had me shook too. He's talking about an alien in inner-city Chicago. He said it was an alien...with the "alien" eyes and everything.” GG

Family Panicked by Possible Alien Encounter in Southeast Indiana
This incident isn’t recent. It actually makes me cry thinking about and I will probably cry while writing it. Anyway I’m 19 now but this experience took place when I was 12. The night this encounter happened everything was pretty normal. I was going back to school the next morning after summer break so I had to be in bed earlier than I would have liked. I remember falling asleep to the movie 'Meet the Robinsons' playing at probably around 10:30 PM. And then I woke up and I knew it had to be late, but the first thing I registered was the TV and it was completely scrambled. The image I mean, almost like a DVD that doesn’t want to play so it skips. But it was frozen so the image was warped and boxy. Except the 'Meet the Robinsons' movie DVD wasn’t damaged. At this point I guessed it was around 2:00 or 3:00 AM.
The second thing I registered were the voices coming from the kitchen. I got out of bed to see what was going on because the voices were talking pretty loud and they sounded kind of panicked. When I got to the kitchen I realized that it was my mom and older sister, who was 18 at the time, and they were arguing. The first thing I actually picked up and comprehended in the conversation was my mom saying “those are definitely aliens. What the f--k else could they be?” She was almost hysterical. Neither of them saw me enter the kitchen but I asked what was going on and my mom looked at me and I knew that she was scared and shaken. She literally had tears in her eyes. She told me in an almost sad voice that there were aliens outside.
At this point we were all standing in the kitchen in front of our sliding glass door that looked out to our yard and the field across the road. I was confused so she pulled back the curtain to the kitchen door and I didn’t see anything initially because I didn’t look hard enough. But I saw my German Shepherd / Great Dane mix sitting in the middle of the yard, in the direction of the neighbors, which was to the right side. I asked my mom why he wasn’t on the porch like normal and why he was sitting so still. To that she slid open the door very slowly, to not make much noise I assume. And usually when the door to the house opens my dog will look towards the sound of it if he is around the yard, which he was, but he didn’t even look at us, his gaze remained undeterred. I didn’t realize what was going on but I was scared because my mom was clearly scared as was my older sister. My mom signalled my sister and I to be quiet. And we were.
You could, on a normal night, hear the animals in the woods or the trees in the wind and crickets chirping because it was summer, but that night we couldn’t hear anything. It was completely silent outside, not even a breeze. This gave me chills that made me shake. Something was terribly off. My mom shut the door. And my sister and I followed her to her bedroom, where my dad was asleep and the window was open. There she explained to me what was going on. She told me that my sister was in my room looking for something and peaked out the window. My room is in the back of the house and my window looks out to the trees behind the house. She saw what she thought was a pack of coyotes but there were about 30 of them and the closer she looked she started to see distinguishable features and that’s when she dipped out of my room and went and told my mom. My mom told me that they walked outside, before my sister came to her about what she saw, and saw a tall dark and slender figure walking down the neighbor's driveway towards our house. She thought it was the neighbor coming over for some reason. But then she got scared suddenly and felt like it would be best to pretend to be asleep so she wouldn’t have to talk to the “neighbor”. And those events lead us to go to the kitchen window that overlooked the two neighboring houses right next to each other. It was dark. But we were looking very hard. And we could start to make out shadowy figures. Most of them were small and moved super fast. So fast that if you weren’t paying attention you wouldn’t have noticed. And if you paid even more attention, you could see the slower taller ones. They moved slow and their silhouettes were darker than their background but they were almost fluid looking. It just did not look real at all. And this sucks but we didn’t even think about grabbing a camera and trying to catch pictures. Which I regret just thinking back.
Another thing I noticed and is worth mentioning I think, was that behind the neighbor's house they had woods too. Well, within the trees and very low to the ground, there were three evenly spaced lights. One was green, the other red, and another blue I think. The lights were pretty dim but they were never there before. We watched out the window for about ten minutes freaking out. My mom was almost wheezing at this point, she was so shocked. After that she took us into her room and opened the window more, which I didn’t like, it made me nervous. She told us to be quiet. And since we couldn’t hear anything at all coming from outside we sat in silence. Until we heard what sounded like a car passing on the road. there was engine sound but we could see the road from my mom's window and there were no cars, no headlights, nothing. But the engine buzz was loud and turned into sounding like a plane was passing over the house, that’s how loud it got. This lasted about a minute or so then it went completely silent again. After a few minutes, it would repeat the engine sound.
After all of these happened, my mom shut the window and closed the curtains. And we sat in her room, all of us basically shaking. Anyway another thing to point out was, I did eventually work up the courage to go back to my room. But that was a few hours later and was starting to get light out. The TV was still scrambled so I tried to eject the disc and it wasn’t working. So I ended up having to unplug the DVD player to get the scramble off the TV. That’s about all that happened that night. But it freaked me out terribly. I don’t mention it to anyone except the people I trust with my life. And even then they sometimes don’t get to hear the full story. But I want to know your thoughts on this. Is there any rational explanation for things I saw? The year was probably 2013. I don’t remember the day. It might have been a Sunday evening into Monday morning? It was at the house that I still live in currently, in southeast Indiana. Probably August since I was starting school. So summer. Which would definitely make the year 2013 now that I’m thinking about it.” LJ

Upright 'Lycan' Petrifies Ex-Marine in Massachusetts State Forest
“I had Dogman encounter on November 15, 2015 in October Mountain State Forest near Lee, Massachusetts. I have been an avid outdoorsman, bushcrafter, hunter, survivalist for over three decades. I have hunted all over North America, Alaska, Anticosti Island, have come across every predator cougar, black bear, brown bear, wolves, coyotes. What I saw that Sunday morning was NO bear. It was no more than 75 feet from me. I was on the tail end of a five-day solo.
I had made camp on top of a ridge about 250 feet from a river below me. It was at dawn and I made my way down to the river to retrieve some water to make coffee. The river flows hard and makes quite a bit of noise due to outcrops of rocks in middle of it. As I got closer to the water, I noticed what appeared to be a bear bent over at the water's edge. Now the last thing you want to do is spook a bear. I carry a whistle around my neck which I blow periodically as I'm hiking for that specific reason - to alert bears that I'm coming through. So I blew the whistle. As soon as I blew the whistle, the creature's head spun around, again I still thought it was a bear, but as its head turned its shoulders started turning with it. It was then I instantly knew it was NOT a bear! It had a canine head. It methodically got up, in no rush, it got up on its hind legs then turned completely around. I was in 1st battle Fallujah May, 2004, 2nd battalion 1st Marines and I was afraid, scared every time I went live. But adrenaline took over and I could deal with my fear. But the fear I felt that day was nothing I had ever experienced. I was frozen in fear and could not move. I had a .45 caliber sidearm on me and have drawn that gun thousands and thousands of time at the range. I could not get myself to reach for it. I was petrified. It seemed like a lifetime. It was standing there looking at me. But it was maybe less than a minute, it broke right, got down on all fours went into the bush. I stood there for maybe an hour motionless until I got the courage to move.” BB

Strange 'Dog'
“In 2009 in Marlton, New Jersey, I was looking out my upstairs window late at night. I was going through a divorce at the time and I was looking out for when exactly he'd, my ex, would be coming home, which was usually one or two in the morning. I'll never forget seeing what happened. It looked like a dog walking along my street. There were streetlights so it was pretty clear. I'm very familiar with a dog, or a stray dog gait, but what I saw that night was odd to me. I saw a rather large grey, long coated dog walking down the street, walking very calmly, but not like a regular dog because, to me, the gait was too slow and calm. I did not get a good look at its face but I remember I ran downstairs out my front door to get a better look. I saw it across the street continue on. I will never forget this. I have since looked up wolves online and I know what they look like but this night was different. It did not fit the traditional image of a wolf. Photo: Possible Bigfoot Carrying Deer Carcass in Valley County, Idaho
I recently received a photograph from an eyewitness 'CC' in Idaho. CC stated in our telephone conversation that he and his business partner were hunting near Warm Lake in Valley County, Idaho. This was in mid-afternoon in late September 2019. The pair also own a land stake in the area.
As they were taking a break, they heard a screaming sound coming from the ridge ahead of them. CC wasn't sure what the sound was, but his partner thought that it may have been a deer in distress or in its death throes.
As they scanned the ridge and valley in front of them, they noticed movement along the edge. As they watched, CC thought that it may have been another hunter. But there was something unusual about the size and the way it was moving. He looked through his binoculars and was shocked by the size of the figure. He took out his cell camera (that had a cracked lense) and snapped off a photo before the creature moved out of sight.
Both witnesses believe that this was a Bigfoot with a deer carcass slung over its shoulders. They also noticed its movement that indicated that it may have been dragging something behind it.

'Humanoid Owl' Incidents in Pennsylvania & Washington
“About 23 years ago (around 1996), I saw an extremely tall white owl standing on the side of an old country road. It was about 5 feet tall, I've never seen anything like it before. This was in Pennsylvania. It was so scary! We were in a car and I wanted to go back but my ex was too afraid to turn the car around. He kept trying to convince me and himself that it was a person in a costume. It definitely wasn't. I just wanted him to drive by so I could get another look. I didn't want to stop or anything. It was in Western, PA, in Clinton which I believe is Beaver County. This owl-thing that I saw looked exactly like a white owl, just huge. I remember it's head was turned toward the road, so I had seen the face perfectly and it never gave me any vibe that it could be human in any way or have humanistic features other than it's height. If you know where Janoski"s farm is, we were a little further out than that, heading to the highway toward Pittsburgh. It was a dark, secluded road with no other traffic. It had just finished thunderstorming (a really bad storm) and was raining lightly. The windshield wipers had just swept the rain away and that's when I saw it. It was a really frightening sight.” J

“Was the tall owl-like white humanoid (shapeshifter?) stalking us? About four years ago (2015) on a "it's getting dark pretty early" fall evening around 7:00 PM, my girlfriend, roommate and I were walking along some decommissioned train tracks surrounded by woods on both sides. We loved exploring little in between areas so this wasn't an uncommon event. We were about five miles into the tracks and woods and were considering heading back since it was getting dark quick and none of us had a flashlight.
I suddenly got this sensation of almost nausea inducing dread and looked at both my friends who were with me, and saw that they too were feeling something, wide eyed and looking around. "Let's start heading back" I declare, and they all nod in silent agreement. Mind you, we were doing just fine a second ago, and do this sort of thing all the time, so this sudden onset of fear was unusual and not something that we were prepared for or used to. Just as we were turned around, we all heard a strange sound that almost sounded like quieted thunder/metal hitting metal that was coming from what sounded like off in the distance. As we whipped around to see what made the noise, a large white bird that I think was a white owl flew over our heads silently, flapping its wings and disappearing behind a tree that was a good 25 feet behind us. We all looked at each other trying to make sense of what the hell we just heard and started walking briskly back towards civilization. We heard what sounded like twigs snapping in the woods behind us, and my girlfriend and I turned around to see what made the noise. Peeking from behind the tree the owl just flew behind, was what looked like an impossibly tall ghost white humanoid shape, with one hand on the tree trunk as it peered out from behind it. Before we could get a good look at it's face, it quickly retreated back to behind the tree out of our sight again. My girlfriend and I looked at each other panicked. She opened her mouth to say something, and I told her, "Don't talk about it, we need to walk faster." My roommate looked at us confused and clearly scared by what I had just said, so I told her we need to probably run home at this point, which we did.
I've told a few people this story, and no one believes me. What I saw was NOT the owl I had seen earlier. This being had a clear ghost white hand on the tree trunk, a neck, and an upper body, and was TALL. I'd say like 7 feet at least (not tall enough to reach the branches of the tree though). 'Werewolf' Encounters Reported in Jefferson County, Washington
I recently received the following account:
I am so glad that there is a website like this, because it is so important for people to get their encounters out so others can be aware of what is really out there.
11 years ago my husband & I were outside working on our driveway. It was about 9:30 at night & it was dark out. I was raking at the end of our driveway. My husband was stacking wood. We both had our headlamps on so we could see what we were doing. So as I am finishing up with raking I hear something really big running up our hill towards our driveway. I can hear each step it is taking. I thought maybe it was a bear because of how the footsteps sounded. You know like it had some weight behind it. Well my husband had heard it too. He came running towards me and then past me onto the road chasing whatever it was. So I say to him, 'What in the hell are you doing?' He said, 'I'm chasing it away from our property. I don't want it coming around here again.' I said, 'Stop, are you crazy? Whatever it is, is bigger than you!' So he continues to chase it up the hill yelling and screaming at it to get out of here. He is yelling, 'Go on. Get!'
At the top of our hill is a cul de sac with a street light. I'm scared as hell so I'm staying back a little bit, but I'm curious what it might be too. So I continue up the hill behind my husband. When my husband chased it up to the cul de sac the creature stopped right in the light that was cast from the street light. I could not believe what I was seeing. It was like I was flipping through the pages in my memory banks trying to compare it to anything else I had ever seen before. It looked like a werewolf to me. It was taller than my husband who is 6' 3" tall. It had ashen gray skin with tufts of scraggly hair here and there. It looked sickly like it had mange or something. It had the body of a human, but its head looked like a dog. It had a long snout & pointed ears like a Doberman Pinscher. It had a slight hunch on the back of its neck like a hyena has. Its upper arms were slightly shorter in length than a humans. Its hips were much larger than ours are. Kind of like a kangaroo but not as big. But it was obvious from the hips & shorter arms that it could go from walking on 2 feet like us or it could run on all fours like a dog or bear would.
So when it gets into the light of the street light it stopped & turned to look at my husband who is still yelling at it to, 'Go on. Get!' And the creature was pissed. I think that because it didn't like being in the light. But when it turned and looked at him, it snarled and growled at him for a second or 2, and then with 2 long footsteps it shot into the woods above our house. My friend and neighbor asked me to come down to her house a couple of weeks ago because another one of our neighbors that lives above our house just past the woods that the werewolf disappeared into, was at her place and she said we needed to talk.
So I went down there. She introduced us and I come to find out that he has seen the werewolf in his yard bent down on one knee drinking water out of a puddle. But I had had my sighting 11 years ago and he had his sighting just 3 years ago. I have heard of one other sighting up the 2510 Forest Service Road just above our house about 7 years ago and then another sighting in Quilcene, WA which is the town just north of here. I live in Brinnon, Washington and my husband & I know the woods around here like the back of our hands. I have seen and heard a lot of things in those woods. But nothing even compares to seeing what I saw that night. DL

Tree-Hopping 'Laughing Humanoid' Terrifies Eyewitness in Planada, California
The following account was recently forwarded to me:
April/May 2006 - Planada, California, USA [1st encounter]: Antonio, the guest, claims that he had two experiences involving what he believes was the same entity. It was during the second encounter that he actually observed the entity. Both experiences happened near his home in Planada, in California. Planada is about 8 miles from Merced City in Merced County, and is not far from Yosemite Valley.
It was October or November 2005, around 1:00 AM when he had gone outside to have a cigarette. He walked to the end of his driveway which was on a dead end street, which was situated against a forest. It was quite foggy that night, he recalled. He had just lit his cigarette when he was jolted by an extremely loud scream coming from somewhere close by. He could only describe it as sounding “demonic” and it spooked him. He froze. He sensed that the sound had come from somewhere to his left, most likely his neighbor's house. They had a large air conditioner on top of their house and believed that whatever had made the noise was hiding behind it. This creeped him out and Antonio immediately turned and went back into his home.
[2nd encounter] Around April or May in 2006: Just after Antonio and his wife had split up, Antonio was doing work on a guy's car. Antonio had sold a Mustang to a friend and agreed to work on it at the his house. Antonio would bike over, work on it, and then bike home. It was late one night, and Antonio claims that he needed a drill bit, so he hopped on his bike and rode home and grabbed the tool. He was riding back to his friend's house along Stamford Avenue when he thought he heard something jumping from telephone pole to telephone pole, some 200 feet away. Eventually it landed on a tree right beside him, which caused the whole tree to bend down and touch the ground. Antonio assumed that it was a large bird. Three or four houses down, while still riding, the “bird” landed in the tree beside him again. Antonio surmised that it landed with such force that, if it were human, it would have broken every bone in its body. Given how far down the other tree was, he could not believe that something could jump that far.
At that point, he looked over and saw something in the tree. He instantly recognized that it wasn't a bird but something apparently humanoid, “a shadow with two arms and two legs.” He kept biking and now four more houses down, the creature leapt from the previous tree into the one right next to him. It was an impossible jump for anything humanoid. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see the creature and he was terrified. He described that it had very long legs which were bent in two places (like a dog); it was black and had a huge torso. He could not see the face of the creature due to some foliage and the fact that it was night. He noted that it seemed to be making a weird sound, almost like a laugh. Terrified, Antonio took both hands off his bike and proceeded to wave them in the air and scream at the creature. He pedalled “like crazy” until he reached his friend's house.
The experience traumatized him and he spent months trying to figure out what he saw, noting that it kind of fit the descriptions of a Wendigo and Dogman but, still, neither really matched what he saw. He also noted that it wasn't a monkey. Curiously, he recalled that just two days prior to his encounter, a neighbor of his had mentioned seeing (and attempting to record) a UFO near their home. Antonio isn't sure if the UFO sighting was related to his experience or if it was a coincidence. In the years since, Antonio believes that the creature he saw, with its ability to jump such huge distances, from tree to tree, and it's enormous size (“it could easily pick up a person and carry them off”) he thinks that it might be responsible for some of the missing persons cases in which dogs cannot track a scent. He thinks that the people were pulled up into the trees and carried off. He also noted that researchers should look into the shocking number of cases in which a missing person is found deceased at the base of a broken tree or in an area with lots of broken trees.

Enormous Black Winged Cryptid Observed in Tukwila, Washington
I recently received the following account:
Occurrence approx. 15 years ago (2005) in Tukwila, Washington during mid-spring.
Time approx. 3-4:00 pm local time
I have a story to share which to this very day still makes me shrink on the inside wanting to become very small. It only lasted about 2-3 minutes yet, this short event filled me with a heavy dark feeling of the ultimate ending of my existence. I have only shared this with maybe a single handful of people. Even then they give me that look of 'oh, whatever' with a sideways grin, that familiar reaction.
About myself, I’m sixty years old now and beginning to understand that if I don’t share my experiences, well, someday it will go to the grave with me. Then no one will have heard them. So at this time of my life ridicule is not a fear anymore. Believe my story or not, this is not my concern. My story starts as follows.
I was walking to work to begin my night shift at a manufacturing company. The shift started at 6:00 pm to 6:00 am. I lived about 4 blocks from work, so I walked all the time. I would leave home at about 5:00 pm, take my time and enjoy the walk. The walking path I followed ran along the Green River. I was just starting on the head of the path with a slight downward incline. It was spring warm, clear with no wind, just a very beautiful day. As I was looking ahead something dark caught my attention from my right and slightly high above the tree line and towards the shopping mall which was about 2 blocks in that direction. I just slightly turned my head to see. Now what I saw was giving me a right profile of it. It was a very black thing, humanoid-like. It had wings (black) with legs. It was in a bird of prey position, just when they were about to grab their prey. I turned my attention forward and was hit with a feeling of fear and dread, like I was a field mouse in an open area. Now my mind is telling me that it was a black bird swooping down. Yet another part is saying 'WHAT THE bleep!' So I turned my head right again to see. There it was in the same spot, it hadn’t moved! It looked like a bird but with legs and arms held slightly out from its body. And with what looked like a head not like a bird at all. And wings back in the position a bird of prey would have them when swooping down.
Now my mind is trying to take in all this information. And it is not going well. Warning signals going off like crazy in my mind telling me to move slow and quietly. At the same time I'm beginning to realize that this thing is hovering in the direction of the shopping mall and kind of above it. Now wait. That's two blocks away. How can I see this in any detail? It's over there a far enough distance I should not even be able to see it. Other than a black spot. Yet I can. At least enough to see that what I’m seeing shouldn’t be. I’m beginning to understand that it must be large. I mean really, right? Two blocks away yet large enough for me to see the shape definition. No detail, just shape. I shift my gaze forward to gauge how much farther until I’m down this incline and out of visual. Not far maybe fifty feet. I decided to look again just to see. And of course it’s still in the same position but giving off that feeling of pure dread. I had no desire to stop and look, all I cared about was 'get to work fool.' So after the third look I just focused on getting to the location of not being seen or seeing it.
I made it to work ahead of time of course. Still feeling scared. Later in the shift I shared it with a co-worker and received laughter. So I shut up and didn't talk about this for many years. Over the years I have tried to grasp what I had seen. I really don’t know. Maybe I don't need to know. Yet even to this very day when I think about this the feeling of fear is present. I just have this strong feeling that what I had seen was not known.
Now there is a short incident that happened about three or four months later. I believe that it was around the first part of July. It was around 1:00 in the afternoon. I was walking in the parking lot of the shopping mall. Yes, the same one. I was about half way across the parking lot. Which is quite large. I had my headphones in, listening to music. All of a sudden I had the feeling that something was flying above me. I mean I actually ducked down thinking something was going over me. At the same time that this occurred, I saw a shadow pass over me. And it was shaped like a very large bird. I mean I could tell it was a wing. End to end maybe twenty feet. Just a poor guess at best. I immediately stopped and looked up. There was nothing in the sky except for a few high and thin white clouds. I looked to see if it was a plane. Nope. I did a complete 360 looking up nothing. So I beat my feet to the entrance. Once again having that feeling of being a field mouse out in the open.
So, I have no idea what I saw those two different times. But I think they may have been related. Whatever it was, I know the feeling that being seen is not going to be good. Well that about covers that subject. Take it for what it’s worth. Thank you for your time in allowing me to share. Final thought. I've noticed that people who have had strange encounters seem to be able to check a few boxes off in the cryptid or paranormal or even UFO categories.I know I can check a few of those boxes off myself. Bigfoot Encounters: Recently Received Reports
“My family were out at a lake up around Paradise, California. My father is a big man, lots of muscles, he's 6'5" and weights 310 lbs. I had never seen my dad afraid of anything. He was on the other side of the lake, it was very peaceful. At night, in the cabin, we would listen to the wild sounds; bobcat, coyote, owls, dogs, deer etc. We went out to the lake again. We'd been there a few hours, when we heard something yell or scream. My father starts jumping and swimming, while yelling for us to get in the car, lock the doors. This huge hairy-looking beast is running, chasing my father until he jumped in the lake. It stopped at the edge of the lake. My father was standing in the lake it was about two feet taller than my father. I will never forget it.” KL

“I had an experience with a Sasquatch in Georgia, in the Cohutta Wildlife Management area. The experience was unreal, and scared me to death, because the Sasquatch I saw killed a deer in front of me, and saw me watching him. Too long to describe in detail here, but let’s just say I NEVER will go back in the woods before daylight again. Even to this day I still have nightmares about the encounter, and can see this creature standing maybe 30 yards in front of me. It was so close, and also terrifying.” SA

This was in near Bryan, TX like 20 years ago. As a kid most all of my time out of school was on our small farm, or on larger ranches, mostly hunting and field trials. Horseback riding, fishing and camping was a way of life. I’ve spent a lot of time in the great outdoors so to speak. I have also always had 20/20 vision.
Anyways this was a huge ranch and I was with a few other friends while an adult was driving. The kids were in the back of the truck. On the ranch there were cattle guards crossing the road at fence lines so that trucks could drive through without messing with gates. It was dark but there was enough moon light to actually see when out in the open away from the woods.
As we were driving down one of the long gravel roads back to one of the guests houses to sleep, I saw what looked to be a huge 8 foot hairy ape looking thing pop up and run out from under a cattle guard and into the woods. For the longest time I thought that someone was playing a prank on us kids but nobody ever said anything about it. I’ve never hallucinated or seen anything else all that strange (that couldn’t be explained) in my entire life.
I probably told a few people but nobody ever believed me so I just assumed I was seeing things but that doesn’t really add up, now that I think about it. It wasn’t dressed in clothing I could see that if it was a man that it was a very tall man in a monkey suit, I don’t even know how it fit under a cattle guard. It also moved so damn fast, I saw it dart from the cattle guard to the tree line and vanish in a matter of seconds, which is another reason I don’t think it was a man in a suit...it was fast almost as fast as a deer running across the road.
The hair was a grey/off white color. Maybe grey brown.

It was the evening hunt and we were hunting a small pond that was at the edge of a open pasture but the other side was thick with massive Pines and Cypress trees. This was in northeast Texas. We all noticed that the majority of the birds were flying in from behind us and by the time we saw them they were over the water. So, I figured if I snuck around to the other side I would get them coming straight at me. Dad and Boyd circled to the left and I went to the right with my dog. Ten minutes into my trek, Apple (my dog) stopped and pointed nose in the air...then directly whimpered and backtracked back to the truck. I called for him a couple times to no response. I noticed up ahead maybe 20 to 30 yards was a huge Cypress tree with a stump of an even bigger one closer to the water. Good spot I thought.
As I got approximately 20’ away from that stump it turned around and glared at me! Then directly stood up and rotated its body facing me. It was classic description. At least 7’ tall and if I was to guess I would say 350-450 pounds in weight. It was dark brown / gray in color and huge in general. I briefly looked to my left and could see my Dad and Boyd directly across the pond 75/100 yards away. I looked back in front of me and all I saw was the movement of grasshoppers flying away from bushes moving. (If you ever spend any time outdoors you know what I’m describing with his exit). I turned and ran so fast to the company of my fellow hunters never looking back.
I told my dad about my encounter and we looked in the general area around where the “stump was” but never saw a glimpse after that day. I have heard of sightings in this area but for some reason a skeptic I remain. I know what I saw. But it’s hard to rationalize the events that day. I have dreamed of that encounter 4/5 times since and it’s always the same. It’s the what if’s that haunt me. If I had a camera would I have been able to catch a CLEAR VIDEO OR PHOTO? Where did he go? Is there more? Why has no one ever recovered bones or a carcass? We find skulls of creatures that are thousands of years old. Why is this creature so elusive? PB
