2 Huge Cryptid Canines Attack Men in Southern Ontario

It's the middle of the night in a secluded cornfield in southern Ontario. Four men are attempting to harvest an illegal marijuana crop, when suddenly they become a part of an incredible nightmare!
I recently received a telephone call from a nervous man who I will identify as 'RM.' He was hoping to find someone willing to listen and to consider his remarkable encounter.

RM and 3 other men were attempting to harvest a marijuana crop that had been planted in a cornfield. This occurred at night in October 2017. The silage corn had been tall that year, standing at 8-10 ft. But the feed corn harvest was about to take place and it was time to pull the cash crop.

The location was a field just south of an old cemetery (Bethel Union Pioneer Cemetery - 44° 23' 05" N 79° 58' 36"W) which sits along Creemore Ave in Clearview Township, Ontario.

I asked RM to write down what they had experienced:

"We got into the field and fanned out. I was farthest to the right. Straight ahead in the distance, was a blue flash of light that originated in the cemetery. It looked like it was 10-15 feet off the ground. Then a loud crashing thump, like something heavy fell. Then a few hundred feet to the left the exact same thing happened, like a blue ring-shaped flash of light.

These 'things' tore out of the trees and into the corn at an incredible speed. Faster than any live creature I'd ever seen move. Supernatural fast. Whatever they were then began to bluff charge me and my friends; running at me 3 or 4 times and stopping just outside of the range of direct sight, maybe 2 or 3 rows of corn away. They were as big as Grizzly Bears, and fast as race cars. They were going between me and my buddies. Then I saw the head and shoulders of the one. A large wolf-like head with pointed ears and broad shoulders. The head had no neck and was situated directly on the shoulders. It was a terrifying sight!

There was zero doubt in my mind as to what I had just seen. It was 10 feet away at the max! Just then it charged me from the front, and left, and then my buddie's dog came in from the right! I thought I had been flanked and almost shot the dog, who was losing her mind at the time; whining and whimpering and shaking profusely nonstop.

At that point I started praying to Jesus Christ, and the 2 dog creatures or whatever they were, instantly turned and high tailed it out of the cornfield back towards the cemetery.

So my buddies and I found each other, and the guys said that they had been being charged too. The guy who had driven us there said he had seen it. I told him I did also. I continued to pray as I looked in the direction were I saw them run off to. We had a serious job still to do. There were thousands of dollars sitting in the field. We got things harvested and wrapped up, ready to move out of there.

Well they doubled back around on us, because when my friend and I were struggling with dragging the big blue tarp full back along the tractor access route, we passed a large bush. One of these creatures was right there! My friend screams out, "There's a wolf!" As I looked up, it was running like a man on 2 legs. The creature only ran about 10 feet into the woods and stopped dead in its tracks. My friend and I were ready to go, and he says to me, "Is it coming back to get us?" I just started praying out loud again. Nothing else happened.

We dragged everything to the car. Because it's a little hatchback, someone had to stay behind. So I thought, 'well this is great!' 'There's something seriously messed up going on here, that only seems to be kept at bay by prayer.' These guys don't know I've been praying, so one of them is going to get killed if I don't stay. I think that it was the Holy Spirit protecting me. I strongly felt it.

So the Dog and I stayed behind and spent the next hour on the road, as she whined and cried and freaked out. I was praying and holding my ground. I did notice that one creature came up behind the embankment that was along the entrance to the field and stood there, pacing back and forth. I then saw other creature was now on the other side of the entrance road, behind a huge blackberry bush that hangs over the ditch. It was not more than 10 feet from us!

The dog was freaking out so badly that it almost got to me. I thought she might just drop from a heart attack. Everytime I see the dog now, I know she is remembering it too. She just gives me a look and starts shaking. She has strongly bonded to me since that day.

I was never so happy as when those headlights came back over that hill, and my friend pulled up to get us. It seemed like forever we were on that road. But in reality it may have been one hour tops.

When we got back my friend said, "Did you see the size of that dog bro?" I just said I didn't want to talk about it."

NOTE: I believe that this incident occurred because of something related to the cemetery. The cemetery was established in 1855. It was considered one of the only integrated cemeteries of its time, with black, white and aboriginal peoples all buried in it. It remained an active cemetery until 1940 and ended up falling into a state of disrepair by the 1960’s. Prison inmates were used to clear away the surrounding debris of the site however; it fell into disrepair again by the 70’s. It continued to remain in a woeful state until 1997 when a group of volunteers secured permission from the Township of Clearview to restore and maintain the site. I'd be interested to find out if other strange activity has been reported in the area. I have asked a local paranormal investigator to look into the location. Cemetery honours the early multi-racial pioneers of Sunnidale Township. Lon

Appalling Alien Abduction (I just know that they will be back)

Imagine experiencing an alien abduction after which you discover that this wasn't the 1st time. The next morning you awake in your bed and discover blood. What other horrors await you?

One early morning in the winter of 1990 I awoke from a very deep sleep, feeling nervous as my heart pounded heavily. It was 3:35am and still dark outside. I sensed that there was someone in my bedroom, but all I could see was a spot of light in the corner by the dresser. Suddenly several hands grabbed me from all around the bed. I attempted to scream but could not move or say anything, nothing came out of my mouth.

Within seconds I found myself lying on a cold hard table completely nude and terribly uncomfortable. I looked around me and there were four small beings in hoods and loose robes standing around me. They were conversing with each other, but I could not understand what they were saying since it sounded like a young child's gibberish. I felt something touching me all over my body but could see nothing. The beings' faces had a weird glow with sagging folds of shining skin.

After what seemed like forever these beings slowing moved aside and this human-like man walked up to my side. He was tall, bald and had very pale skin. He also had large round eyes and was very slim. He came over to the table and started to talk to me in English. He calmly said that he was perplexed that I was so scared since he made it clear the last time that they had met he would return to ask a favor. He then turned and raised his hand, gesturing to a woman who walked into the room. She seemed to be a normal human female and quite beautiful. She had a small bundle in her arms and walked over to me. It was an infant, but it had pale skin and didn't look quite human.

The tall man instructed me that he wanted me to take the infant and care for it. It needed the love of a human mother since their race did not understand the emotion of love. I told him that I couldn't because I already had a child and it was hard enough raising my son alone since times were difficult for me currently. He raised his head up and down as if agreeing with what I said and passed his hands across my eyes. I must have passed out because I awoke and found myself in my bed.

It was daylight and I figured that I had been 'gone' for about 5 hours. When I tried to get out of bed, my legs and hips were very stiff and sore. I carefully stood up and noticed 2 large spots of wet blood on the bed sheets. The experience with the beings was still fresh on my mind but I had no idea that I had endured any probing or surgery.

A few days later, I decided to schedule a doctor's appointment just to make sure I was OK. The doctor recommended a full physical since my blood pressure was higher than usual and my ankles were swollen. An appointment was made at my local hospital for x-rays and blood work.

To make a long story short, I returned to my doctor's office a few days after the tests were performed. When I walked into her office, she asked me to sit down and explained that my right kidney was missing. She said that it was probably missing since birth and was just never noticed. I found this hard to believe since I had given birth to my child and have had other x-rays in the past. I just agreed with her assessment and was instructed that I would need to start taking hypertension medication and would need to be regularly monitored.

I am positive that the beings removed my kidney and performed other experiments on my body. Though it has been almost 20 years since that encounter, I just know that they will be back.

Have you ever heard of organs and/or body parts being harvested from abducted humans?

When Monsters Are In Your House!

What should you do when suddenly an unknown creature or being is in your house? These accounts describe encounters with a bizarre humanoid on the couch, and then a large hairy hand & arm that assaults a family at night.

“One day in Autumn 2015 I came home from school earlier as I skipped the last 3 classes. It was around 12 in the noon. All the lights in my house were off, and I was wearing earphones. I went from my kitchen to the living room and as I looked at the small couch we have in my parents' house I saw a 'thing' staring back at me. It wasn't for a split second, it was staring at me for like 3-5 seconds, front-facing me so I know it wasn't just my brain/eyes mistaking a random object for a human-sized being. It wasn't very tall, 1 1/2 metres would be the tallest it could've been. It had a human-like body shape. Its skin looked like candle wax and it was very wrinkly. Kind of reminded me of E.T. but it looked way more old, and pretty much dead. Its hands weren't human-like and I don't think it had nails. Its eyes were all black and they looked hollow. It didn't have hair. It didn't do anything, just stared at me for some seconds. I looked away or blinked, I don't remember which one, and it left. When it looked at me I felt both terrified and in awe. But it looked familiar, even if I haven't seen it before, or since, I felt like its intentions weren't necessarily bad I don't think it was a hallucination, because there is no history of schizophrenia or anything similar in the family. There is no history of any mental illness on both sides.

I would like to know if anyone knows anything about this creature or if anyone has a similar experience. I don't think it had ears. As for a nose, I don't remember clearly. If it did have a nose it was just a small black opening on its face, where a human's nose would normally be. Its face was a mixture of demonic and alien features, only the body was humanoid. Its eyes didn't indicate aggressive behaviour exactly. It was more that it was staring at me out of curiosity, but it looked pretty alert and ready to fight (back) Its face was wax-like and wrinkly like the rest of its body. A weird kind of oval shape if I recall correctly.” LU

“Bizarre incident that happened to my family. I’m a 50 year old man from Peru, and when I was young my family (two sisters, mother and father) used to live in house in a rural village, next door to my uncle. We all slept in the same room, separate beds and we didn’t have electricity. Also there was only one door to the bedroom, and one window which we kept closed at night.

So one night I woke up to the sound of my sister (Sister 1) screaming. She was shouting that someone was in the room and touching her thigh. My dad got up and lit a candle, but there was no one in the room, doors and windows closed. We said she had been dreaming so we went back to sleep. The following night the same incident again, my sister wakes up screaming, saying someone was moving their hand slowly up her thigh. Dad lights the candle, no one there. The following night my other sister (sister 2) sleeps in her bed with sister 1. Sister 2 wakes up screaming that someone is touching her thigh. Dad checks the room with a candle again, nothing. This is when we all start to get a little concerned, but my parents think my sisters are just playing a very weird joke on them.

Following night my mother sleeps in my sister's bed, and my sisters sleep with my dad. In the middle of the night my mum wakes up screaming that someone is touching her thigh. Now my parents are super freaked out, but once again there was nothing in the room, all doors and windows closed. My dad asks everyone to leave the house and stay with my uncle next door, and he decides to sleep in my sister's bed in the house alone. This is where things get so strange and unexplained to me. That night we wake up to the sounds of my dad shouting for my uncle to help him. My uncle runs next door, lights a candle and finds my dad lying on the floor, out of breath, with red marks on his chest and face.

This is my dad's story of what happened. He said he was sleeping when he woke up in the night to a hand touching his thigh, but he didn’t react immediately. He waited and the hand began to move higher and higher up his thigh towards his genitals. As the hand got very close, he grabbed it, and he says he grabbed onto a very hairy arm, too hairy to be human. He held on to the creature as long as he could. He said it was very large and strong, but it scratched him lightly during the struggle and he couldn’t hold on. But the creature didn’t run away or open a door or window, there was just silence after that. I saw the redness on my dad, and believe the story entirely. I was the only one to never experience anything.

After this incident my dad and uncle stayed in the house, but the creature never came back. We all returned to sleeping in that room eventually and never had another issue. Any ideas what it could have been? The area is not known for monkeys, certainly not large ones, and I don’t know how a monkey could have entered the room every night and then left with no noise. But that’s the most likely explanation I can think of. There was no way to enter the room except a closed door and closed locked window.” HC

Strange Blue Lights: 'Little People' in the Mountain?

The witness heard a few unusual stories as a boy growing up in the foothills of Tennessee Appalachia, but he never forgot old Joe's tale about the 'little people' in the mountain. Then one Christmas morning, he discovered something that still puzzles him to this day

"Hello - I have a weird story I'd like to present for your consideration. There is no explanation as to what occurred, though I personally believe the supernatural was at play.

It was the Christmas season in 1958. My parents and I lived in a small home in eastern Tennessee. We survived on what little money my Mother could make doing odd jobs for other people in the area. My Father was wounded during the Korean War and he received a monthly pension from the government. I was 8 years old at the time. After school, I would work around the house and help care for my Father. I knew that money was tight and figured there wouldn't be any gift-giving that year, but we made the best with what we had.

A few day before Christmas Day, I was laying in bed and started hearing noises coming from outside my window. It sounded like children playing and laughing. I got out of bed and looked out the window. I noticed several blue lights bobbing about in my Mother's garden. I went and woke my Mother. She got up and we walked out onto the porch. We both clearly witnessed the blue lights moving up & down above the garden. It was very cold, so we went back into the house and watched from my bedroom window. The lights were there for over an hour and continued moving about. We were very tired, so we both went back to sleep.

In the morning, we were sitting at the table eating breakfast. My parents were discussing the blue lights. My Father said that he heard of a similar occurrence when he was a boy. The deacon at his church commented to several of his congregation that he noticed blue lights outside the rectory one evening. His explanation was that these were angels watching over the church. The next few nights I watched for the lights but they never returned.

On Christmas Eve a few family friends stopped by the house during the day to wish us happy holidays. My friend Larry came over also. We listened to the radio for most of the afternoon. Neither one of us had ever had a television in our homes. I mentioned that it would be nice to have one but I knew that we could never afford it. I told Larry about the blue lights and the story that my Father had told me. Larry said that his Uncle Joe told him the same story about the blue lights outside the church rectory, so I figured that must have actually happened. Larry also said that his Uncle Joe mentioned that there were 'little people' with big heads and large eyes who lived in the mountains. I asked Larry if his Uncle Joe had ever seen these 'little people.' Larry said that he didn't think so.

That evening my parents and I were sitting in the front room when we heard what sounded like footsteps on the porch. My father went to investigate, but he didn't see anything unusual. I then told them what Larry's Uncle Joe had told him. My Father just smiled and said that old Joe told a lot of 'good' stories though most were just not true. My Father then said that he remembered a story that old Joe told him one day.

My Father said that old Joe told him that the 'little people' of the mountain would bring gifts to folks they liked. He said that old Joe thought that the 'little people' were really aliens because he had seen lights fly off the mountain at night. I prodded my Father to tell me more but he said old Joe told too many stories that were flat out lies. It was about 10 PM so I was sent off to bed since we were going to church on Christmas morning.

I woke in the middle of the night to get a drink of water. I didn't notice the time but I believe it was around 1 am or so. I walked out of my room and into the hallway. I noticed that same giggling and laughing I had heard the night I witnessed the blue lights. The sound was coming from the front room. I slowly walked down the hallway and peered around the corner. There was nothing there, but I did see a square shape on the floor by the bookshelf. I turned on the room light. It was a brand new television set - a Motorola. I remember letting out a scream and hearing my mother running down the hallway. She saw me standing in front of the bookshelf, not knowing what was going on. Then she noticed the television. I can still remember the strange look on her face. She turned and ran back into her bedroom yelling all the way. I could hear her asking about the television, while my Father answered 'what television?'

We sat in the front room just staring at the television, occasionally looking at each other. We never did figure out how it got there. I'd like to think it was the 'little people' in the mountain. In fact, that's what old Joe told everybody who'd listen." - MM

Bigfoot Carries Injured Man Home in Smyth County, Virginia

A Smyth County, Virginia resident swears that there was a 'hairy man' in his woods. He saw it when he was 16 years old. Now at age 68 he thinks it is the same creature. This time the 'hairy man' carried him home after he had collapsed in the woods.

"I've got a story that may be hard to believe, but I avow to you that it is completely true.

I have lived on the same property in Smyth Co., Virginia all my 68 years and I have seen a lot of strange things, though I believe all were natural. But there is one thing in my woods that I have never been able to explain.

The first time I saw it, I was 16 or so and squirrel hunting in the late afternoon. I was sitting on a large rock watching a den hole in a large hickory tree, when I noticed a hairy man running in the hollow below me. It was covered top to bottom with short reddish-brown hair. The hair on it's head and face was very long. I think it was around 6 ft. tall. It made a hell of a racket moving through brush, crashing branches and grunting up a storm. It then turned around and did the same thing on it's way back. I stood up and quickly made my way home. I never said anything to my folks about what I saw.

That's the last I had seen of this thing until this past October.

I was dragging old tree branches down into the woods when I stumbled on a tree root. I twisted my knee badly and couldn't stand on it. I lay on the ground in pain, trying to figure out what I was going to do. Then all of a sudden, I wake up on the porch bench. It's totally dark. I reach over and turn on the porch light. How did I get here? Then I noticed mud on my clothes and mud on the porch floor. There was also a pile of hand-sized creek pebbles on the porch table. I had seen these piles of pebbles throughout the woods for as long as I could remember. That's when I realized that the hairy man in the woods must have brought me home. I wondered if it was the same hairy man I saw when I was a boy.

That's the only explanation I can come up with up. I don't have any neighbors since I'm living on the ridge. Maybe I'll see it again one day." F

I recently received the following account. Was this a Bigfoot or another unknown hairy biped? New Hampshire Bigfoot reports have been increasing during the past year. What are your thoughts?

"3 months ago I saw this creature. I did not know of any other sightings at the time or even that there was a name to this thing. I was a front seat passenger going from Piermont to Warren, NH on 25C. Visibility was good and plenty of light. I make a habit of scanning the woods for moose or deer on the backroads, so I was looking directly at the spot where it appeared. At first I thought it was someone on a bike on the opposite side of the road coming toward us. In a few seconds I saw that there was no bike but that the person was moving very fast and was very tall. This is why I thought he was on a bike. No one moves that fast on foot or is that tall. It stayed on the side of the road like you would if you were walking so as not to get hit by a car. At that point in the road we were both descending down to a small bridge that crossed a stream. I had eyes on it for at least 15 seconds so I am very clear as to what I saw. It was over 7 foot tall, very thin and had short white or light grey hair or fur. Its head was small and had a little point to it but I would not say that it is pointy.

At the bottom of the hill on its side of the road there is a trail that is wide enough to drive on. I watched it turn onto this trail, a right turn for it. Within 2 or 3 seconds the car reached the trail and I looked down the trail but it was gone. I am pretty sure our speed was around 40 mph and when I first spotted it we were about the same distance away from the trail it turned on. It had to moving at almost the same speed.

Well, that’s what I saw. Believe it or not." CB

Strange Encounter Followed By Possible Alien Abductions

A man in Long Beach, CA was approached by two unusual men while on his boat. After that, he experienced unexplained flashbacks. He believed that he may had been abducted. This is a very bizarre account:

"Sir - I have an odd story that I, until recently, did not talk about. In May 2011 I lived alone in Long Beach, CA. in an area known as Alamitos Bay. My boat was docked near N. Marina Dr. across from the San Gabriel River. I was cleaning up from an outing the night before. It was about 9 pm when I took a break to watch the game on TV.

As I sat on the deck, I noticed 2 individuals walking on the dock in my direction. As they approached the back of my boat I could see that both men were dressed in black attire that reminded me of Ninja bodysuits. Both men had very short blond hair and sunglasses, even though it was dark. Their faces were dark tan and smooth looking. They looked very odd. Both carried something that reminded me of clip boards, but they looked to be "drawing' on it with their index finger. They stood on the dock staring at me and drawing on the boards.

After a few minutes one of the men asked me if I had seen anything 'unusual' in the past several nights. I answered 'no, I rarely spend time on the boat at night.' The other man was intensely staring at me while I talked to the other. It was really starting to bug me. I was asked if I live in the area and if I spent time at Seal Beach. I answered 'no' to both questions. After a few more minutes they abruptly turned and walked back toward the parking lot. I watched them walk away. They did not stop to talk to anyone else. I lost sight of them as they walked through the parking lot towards N. Marina Dr.

A few hours later, I wasn't sleeping well and decided to get up and head home. I arrived home about 1:15 am. When I opened the door, my dog Huck was not there to greet me. That was very unusual. I walked through the house calling for him but didn't get a response. I walked up the stairs and into the bedroom. I heard him whining from under the bed. I tried to coax him out but he refused to move. He appeared to be afraid of me. I took a quick shower and went to bed. Huck stayed under the bed.

I was off work the next day (which was a Sunday) so I slept late. I woke and got up about 10 am. I later walked downstairs and Huck was in the kitchen staring at the back door. I fix myself coffee as Huck laid down by the door and never moved. In fact, he laid by the back door all day. He didn't get up to drink or eat. I was starting to worry.

The next day, I woke at 6:30 am and got ready for work. While shaving I had a flashback of being carried away by an unknown force. Then I started to visualize triangular shaped faces. I was shaking and felt very cold and numb. I finished getting ready and went to work. While driving to the job I realized that I had not seen Huck. All day I had flashbacks of being carried away from my bed by unknown individuals with triangular shaped faces.

I arrived home about 6:45 pm. The first thing I did was look for Huck. He was gone and I never did find him. I have no idea what became of him. Occasionally I would get the same flashbacks, usually after I woke.

In June 2013 I moved to Reno, Nevada. I still have flashbacks, but now I have the flashbacks in my dreams and the nights go by quickly. Many mornings I feel as if I never got any sleep at all. I see Huck in my dreams as well. I'm beginning to believe that I am experiencing multiple abductions. I have checked my body for marks or other clues, but cannot find anything.

Yesterday morning I was in the kitchen and noticed a well-used red rubber chew toy. It was Huck's toy." - T

The Case of a Real 'Time Traveler?'

Can a rift between time and space literally open, then transport a living being into another reality? I received an interesting account that occurred in the vicinity of Baltimore, Maryland in June 1992. The information was forwarded by a now-retired attorney who continues to live in the area. At the time of the incident, he (who I will refer to as MB) had a private practice with several offices in the Baltimore / Washington DC metro area. He also provided pro bono legal services for the State of Maryland, particularly representing clients with mental disabilities. Since receiving the first email, I had 2 more conversations with MB, which were recorded with his permission. I am going to write his allegory as it was given to me. The resulting statement was approved by MB. Many of the specific and personal details will not be included for MB's confidentiality and privacy:

Statement - MB - Baltimore, MD - 4/5/2013

* In June 1992, I was assigned a pro bono case / client who was being housed, by court order, in one of the State Hospitals located in the metro Baltimore area.

* I interviewed the client at the State Hospital facility. I informed him that he was facing a weapon possession charge (a vintage Marlin Derringer handgun and ammunition were found in his pants pocket) and other local vagrancy violations.

* The client told me that he went by the name Morris Winthrop. He stated that he was from New Jersey and lived most of his life in New York City. The file showed that there was no record of him residing in the State of Maryland.

* When arrested, Morris wore a high collar white shirt and a brown frock coat and pants. I examined the clothes. Later I would discover that these were very similar to Victorian era men's clothing from the 1870-1880s. He also possessed a silver metal case, similar to a cigarette case. Inside the case was a square piece of black colored material that resembled hard plastic. He was allowed to retain this object while at the facility.

* Morris looked to be in his early 30s, though there was no hair or stubble on his face,just thin eyebrows. He had wispy blond hair and a very pale complexion. The eyes were very deep blue, almost violet in color.

* During the interview, he would look directly at me and smile. He answered few questions other than his name, that he was living in New York City and that he didn't know how he arrived in Baltimore.

* The physician at the hospital stated that he may be suffering from shock and that there may be some memory loss. I didn't get that impression while in Morris' presence. It seemed to me that he knew exactly what was transpiring. To this day, I still do not know why I felt that way.

* At the end of the interview, I told him that he was being held at the facility under court order and that I would seek a hearing date. Morris' reply to me was 'thank you for your service. I will contact you, I promise.'

* The next day I was contacted by the Baltimore County State Attorney's office and informed that my services were no longer needed in this case. No further information was provided.

* I contacted the physician who was treating Morris. He stated that Morris was no longer at the facility. I asked where he was taken and told that I would need to contact the State Attorney's office.

* For almost 2 years, no official information was available in regards to Morris.

* In 1994 I was approached by an attendant who had worked at the State Hospital during Morris' brief stay. I was told that Morris had suddenly disappeared from the ward after his late meal. There was a thorough search conducted without results. Morris' clothes were retained by the State Attorney's office. All other items, including the silver metal case, were missing. I have never found out where the weapon was stored, though I assume it is at State Police headquarters.

* At that time, I conducted a private search for Morris Winthrop. I hired a private investigator who found very little information other than that a single 32-year-old man named Morris Winthrop had resided in New York City in 1877, until he went missing without a trace. All his property (in Manhattan) had been left behind. The police found no evidence of foul play.

* After 19 years, I never found another reference to Morris Winthrop. This has become a bit of an obsession for me. I have hired other private investigators over the years but nothing has been found. If Morris was a 'time traveler,' I wonder if he'll contact me as promised? MB

NOTE: Like I stated before, this is the final statement approved by MB. Could this be a case of 'time travel?' I would have preferred more information but MB is quite wary of how others would interpret his quest into Morris' identity and deposition. He asked me not to conduct a private inquiry. It seems his long-term investigation has ruffled the feathers of a few local and state officials over the years. My late friend and colleague Rosemary Ellen Guiley was intrigued with the account and later included it in one of her publications. Lon

Curious Ghosts: Staring Females / My Old House

I think it's fair to say that most of us have had unexplained incidents occur at some point. Maybe you can relate with either one of the following ghostly accounts:

“So I've had a few ghost experiences and not all of them have been positive. I'll try to make this short. So basically my first experience I was at this kid's dance club room in the back of roller skating venue when I was in middle school. So basically what happened was in this room there was this giant air vent along the wall of the room, big enough to fit a person. I remember dancing, having a good time, when I suddenly noticed something in the vent. It was a woman and she looked awful covered in dirt, leaves and her clothes torn. She was inside the vent leaning against it staring into the crowd pretty creepily. Though a moment after I noticed her she looked at me. I freaked a little and turned to walk away though when I turned around she was now standing in front of me. I didn't think twice and I took off and never went back into the room.

Another time I was asleep for this but woke up part way through. So basically I was having this dream looking through someone's eyes as they ascended the stairs of my house and walked down the hall to my room. I saw myself sleeping and immediately woke up at that moment but I refused to roll over to look next to my bed. When I heard a creaking of someone leave the room I looked to see a man walking out of my room that wasn't my dad!

Another time I was jolted awake possibly from a dream and noticed the outline of a female figure staring at me at the end of my bed. I pretended not to see them and laid back down to go to sleep. Again I heard the creak of my door open and when I opened my eyes I saw a dark haired woman who wasn't my mother moving down the stairs.

My last encounter was back in high school. If you've seen 'The Shining' you know the hotel Stephen King based the book off of is the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, CO. Well the hotel is so popular now that they've created townhomes in the back lot of the property. My parents, a friend and I stayed there for a weekend. One morning I was taking a shower in the glass shower with my back to the door. When I turned around there was a handprint on the outside of the glass, but I had locked the bathroom door! That night I had another experience. So my friend and I shared a bed that was placed in a sort of loft that looked over the living room on the second floor. So I had woken up, only having opened my eyes and noticed someone standing next to the bed right in front of me. I immediately closed my eyes out of fright. Waiting a couple of seconds I listened and then opened my eyes to see a man going down the stairs. I ended up sitting up and looking over the loft's edge to see who it might have been but no one ever came down the stairs. The next morning there was footprints in the dust on this giant shelf no one could reach unless you had a ladder.

I still see things today someone always standing and staring at me but only in the corner of my eye. When I look directly no one is there. I live alone and I still can't go to bed without looking under my bed or having a light on before I get into bed.” MD

“When I was a kid I saw my grandmother's ghost. I was at my grandfather's house. I was only two when she passed away so I have no actual memory of her at all. But I was able to describe one of her favorite nightgowns in every last detail. She was just standing in the hallway. Not in a scary way at all. Just watching me play in the living room. About 30 seconds later, she disappeared. I have that so etched into my memory.

I now live in another state and have had weird moments in this 100 yr old Virginian house. One night I went to get my daughter from her crib to feed her. I distinctly saw lights in the living room that resembled flashlights moving around, as if someone had broken in and had been searching though the living room downstairs. I woke my husband. He went to go look (literally in his boxers with his gun and everything). He said all the doors and windows were locked just like I had left them. Literally no way to explain that because he looked around outside and no one was out there and clearly no one broke in. To be fair, this house is creepy, old and makes all sorts of noises. I've named our "ghost" Henry in hopes that if we do have one, at least he has a nice name and maybe he won't feel like we're trying to hate on him. I've had other ghost encounters but those two stick with me.” SJ

Upright Cryptid Canine Stalks Southwest Florida Neighborhood

A bizarre night in southwest Florida begins a series of frightening incidents with a large unknown upright canine. The witness thought that it may be a 'werewolf.' Read the account and tell me what you think:

I want to tell you was a series of incidents with my siblings and I. We had a house in southwest Florida, back in the early to mid 80's. For over a week our neighborhood had a series of, what I believe were, werewolf stalkings.

It was June I think and around 9 PM, I was out back on the patio. At that time no one had fences around their property, because all of us knew the others families around the area. The only exception was the family across the street from us - they had a 7 ft tall cinder block wall behind their house. They had a large wooded piece of property and kept equipment out there. The dad was in construction and the wall enclosed 3 sides of the property. It was hot out and a slight breeze, no clouds and starry.

As I sat there you could hear the dogs in the neighborhood begin to bark - then everything got quiet. A lone howl started, so I howled back. I do this rather well. I'd watch National Geographic and would mimic wolf cries. Anyway this went on for about five minutes, each time the howl from the other end got closer. Down the road are train tracks that run north to south. The sound seemed to come from that direction. I started to get spooked as the howling stopped. Our yard had bushes and a tree on the side where the sound came from. The hair on my arms and neck started to stand up so I felt like I should go in. As I stood I heard movement by the bushes, I glanced over and saw something move. I didn't wait to see what it was so I booked it into the house and I stood by the door which had glass panes in it. I watched as something very large and dark moved about the bushes. It moved away and I could no longer see it from my vantage point. I went to the front porch to look out the windows hoping to get a look at whatever was there but it never came out that way. So I went to bed and to read for a while to calm down.

About less that an hour later my brother came home, he came to my room and as white as paper. He was shaking all over - his eyes the size of saucers. I asked him if he was okay? Now my brother is the sort that has an explanation for anything unusual, and he's a big guy, so for him to be in this state was not normal. He said I need you to come with me right now, I'll explain when we get in the truck. I was still dressed, so I got up and went with him. When we got outside I asked what's going on. He told me there was something in the road by the tracks he needed to show me first. I was not happy about that as I just had my own experience with something from that way. As we got there it looked as if something had exploded all over the road. There was blood everywhere. I was as if a person was mowed down in that spot, but there was no body parts anywhere. My brother related then what he had seen coming down the road.

"I was coming home and as I got closer to the tracks, there was this huge thing lying in the road. I thought it must have been a Mastiff or Great Dane in the road. But as I pulled up to it it didn't look like any dog I'd ever seen. It was hairy, it's head and nose was twice the size of a dog - the body wasn't a dog, just dog-like, but much, much bigger. It was all over the place, there was an arm on the road! Not a dog arm - a human arm!" There was no trace of anything when we got there and it was only minutes to drive to the location. I said that we need to get the hell out of there now! So we went back home. I told him what I experienced just before he got home.

A couple of days later my sister came to me and said she has been seeing a large dog prowling around at night. It was huge and she had seen it across the street, as she sat on the porch. I told her what my brother and I saw and not to be outside alone until we could find out what it was. We got together and decided to stake out the yard over the next night. Sure enough it was back in the neighbors yard. This thing was about the size of a Shetland pony, black in color. We had flashlights and turned them on. It took off to the back wall behind the house. Their small dog was going off like crazy. We watched this 'dog-thing' scale the wall. The neighbor came out to see what was going on, and we shouted there was something in his yard. He went back in and grabbed his pistol and went around back, but by that time it was gone. M

NOTE: I had talked to the witness a few times after I had received this account. This was a residential location west of Sarasota, Florida. Apparently, whatever this upright canine was, it had appeared sporadically for the next few years. It always showed up on very warm nights in the summer, howling a distant warning before coming into the neighborhood. Lon
