Screaming Bigfoot Shot by Hunter in Central Indiana Forest

While hunting for squirrel in an old growth woods in central Indiana, a man has a scary encounter with a large female Bigfoot
I recently received a telephone call from 'CC' in reference to a Bigfoot encounter in 1985 in an old growth forest area just south of the Meyer Nature Preserve near Martinsville, Indiana. CC and his brother HC had been squirrel hunting during an Autumn afternoon.

It was beginning to get late and CC needed to get home before he went into work that evening. His brother remained in the woods in order to continue hunting. Each of them had driven to the location in separate vehicles.

As CC was walking back towards his truck, approximately a quarter mile from his brother, he heard several gunshots coming from the direction he had left. He also heard faint screaming and yelling. Fearing that his brother was in danger, he rushed back to the location.

When CC reached his brother, he found him sitting on the ground near a large boulder. CC said that HC was staring at the ground and had a shocked look on his face, as if he had seen a ghost. He appeared to be uninjured, but his state of mind was a concern. For several minutes, CC attempted to communicate with his brother, but to no avail.

Eventually, HC began to snap out of his stupor as he raised his arm and pointed towards the large oak tree near them. He mumbled 'big ape' a few times and started to tremble. CC opened his thermos and poured HC a cup of lukewarm coffee. As he drank, he became more lucid. During that time CC walked over to the oak tree and noticed a few freshly broken limbs laying on the ground. The leaves all around the base of the tree had been noticeably disturbed.

As HC regained his senses, he quickly stood and began to frantically look in all directions. He began to mutter, "it may come back!" "It may come back!" CC asked him what the hell was he talking about? HC sat back down on the boulder and explained what had occurred.

HC said that about 10 minutes after CC had left, he heard a loud cracking of a limb breaking. As he looked up into the thick oak tree, he saw a large dark mass descending from the upper branches. Whatever it was, it seemed to be scaling down the tree trunk as it deeply grunted. HC said that he was "frozen" and "couldn't move." He feared that if he somehow was able to run, this beast would easily chase him down. HC had no idea what this figure was, but he readied his 12 gauge shotgun and clicked off the safety.

As he watched, he couldn't believe his eyes. He told his brother that it was a "large ape" that was looking down at him. It began to scream at HC as it continued to descend from the tree. It then reached a heavy bough about 15 foot from the ground and literally hung from it, grunting and screaming as it pulled itself up and down. The size of this beast was incredible. HC estimated that while it hung from the bough it reached a length of 12 feet or so. He then noticed breasts swaying on its dark haired chest. So he assumed whatever this was, that it was female.

By this time, HC was scared out of his wits. He said that "he knew that he was going to die!" Even though his gun was loaded with 6 shot shells, he unloaded 2 shots into the beast. It suddenly dropped to the ground, but firmly landed on its feet. HC shot at the unknown beast once again, but its reaction was somewhat subdued. It was not grunting, but stood about 50 foot or so from HC and quietly looked back at him. It then turned and ran in the opposite direction. CC again searched below the tree, but there was no blood.

CC had a difficult time believing what he brother just told him, but he knew HC would not lie to him. They both agreed to never discuss the incident to anyone. In fact, they rarely discussed the subject among themselves. Neither has ever gone back into those woods since that day.

HC passed away a few months ago, so CC figured it was time to tell his story. He found my contact information and called me. Lon

Cosmic Ray’s 'Venus Files' - Part III

Colorful Mars

I left this Earth with them on 24 April 1955, at midnight. I first arrived on Mars and ate dinner at a ruler’s house. The air is just a little different and I was told that they set the gauges on the ship when I left this planet, so that when I arrived on Mars I would be acclimated, ready to step off on Mars and not feel the difference of the atmosphere. The day was very bright and the Sun was either just coming up or going down; I don’t know which. I lost all track of time in taking the trip.

The buildings were built of rock on the outside and the interiors seemed to be made of steel or iron of some kind. How it was put on I could not tell. I have done some carpentry work but I have no idea how they put a steel finish on the inside. It looked like it was plastered on; but it was definitely iron or steel. The parts of the hinge side of the doors were molded into the door. The only part you could see loose was the pin.

It was a very colorful planet; but you couldn’t tell where one color began and the other ended; it was so colorful.

The people did not that I was from Earth until they were introduced to me. The children came up around me and wanted to ask questions. There are other races of different colors, I am told; but that part I was taken to was most like what I would be used to.

On Mars they use electric power and Sun power.

A Moon Base

Next I landed on the Moon. Again, we went directly to the ruler’s home there and we ate again. The side o the Moon we see from this Earth has deep craters and mountains; and there is snow on those mountains. There is water, but not on the side that we see. There is snow on the mountains on both sides.

The ruler’s home was built in a crater. The first room we entered had a telescope and rock samples on shelves all around it. The Moon is used for a base, they told me, for interplanetary travel. The Earth is the only planet in the system that does not travel from planet to planet. There are homes there on the Moon to house the personnel that keep up the bases. Small towns, you might say. I was told that there are lakes and rivers on the dark side of the Moon, although I did not see any. It was very hazy.

Cloudy Venus

On Venus I had two landings. The first time I ate at the ruler’s home, too. Venus, too, was very cloudy and hazy. You could see but a little distance. The homes there were made of rock and had steel interiors, too. On Venus I saw three floating cities. The Sun shined just as brightly as a typical day on Earth.

Home Attractions

Now I will take you back before I took my trip. There is a spring there in the west part, in back of my house about a thousand feet. The visitors have been cleaning out that spring for me. They use the water for their drinking water, they said. They have come there many times when I haven’t known it and have left some little tell-tale signs, like a rock placed on the post by the spring, etc.

Their dog, Bo, was very smart. He seemed to mind their orders would their speaking to him. I would tell my dog to sit up and Bo would smile and laugh at him.

One time the visitors left a circle of twelve rocks. When they landed again, I asked them what the rocks meant. They told me they were the Twelve Laws of God, as they live it; and they are presented here as I copied them down in the dark, by the light of the interior of their spaceship as it shone out the door:

The Twelve Laws of God

Love: Love your Maker, your parents, your neighbor, all birds and animals on Earth, and everything in the air and sea.

Honor: Honor your God and parents. Obey God’s law which is also man’s law. Do as you wish to be done by.

Obey: Obey God’s laws, your parents and respect the rights of others.

1. Love your Maker, God.
2. Thou shall not kill. This includes accidents and war.
3. Love your neighbor.
4. Let your light shine before men and all will see your good works. This will reflect honor to you and your Maker, God.
5. Thou shall not commit adultery.
6. Thou shall not steal.
7. Thou must do as you wish to be done by.
8. No other god shall come before God Almighty.
9. Do not take the name of God in vain.
10. Honor your father and mother.
11. Your body is God’s; so do not misuse it in any way. Do not drink or eat or use anything that is not a food. Use nothing to harm the body either in or out. Wear nothing on the body that harms the body or is of no use. God made our body; and is it not good?
12. God made the Heavens and all worlds and we must give Him thanks for what He gives us.

Clarifications

I asked if this was all. The young Earthman, also named Buck, who is now nineteen years-old and who had gone with the visitors voluntarily from his home in Colorado when he was seventeen, said, “We have other rules like you folks do, local and national, but only a few. We mostly live by the Twelve Laws of God, as they cover most everything. Our government is what one here on Earth would call local, or even family-like.”

Midnight Express, Red-Eye Flight

It was 27 April 1955 when I returned home from the trip at midnight. They generally take off at midnight and return then. I was told they could come in at any time but could leave better at midnight.

8 Ft 'Upright Canine' Pair Observed on Beauregard Parish, Louisiana Farm

An elderly witness recently observed a pair of 8 foot tall upright canines stalking a herd of cattle in southern Beauregard Parish
On May 4, 2020 I posted the following - Upright Canine (Possible 'Rougarou') Encountered in Beauregard Parish, Louisiana - In which a Beauregard Parish, Louisiana property owner and his young daughter encountered an utterly terrifying upright canine near their home. On May 8, 2020 I received a telephone from another witness who lives approximately 15 miles south of this sighting:

The elderly witness 'CW' and her husband live on a 80 acre farm south of Derrider, Louisiana in Beauregard Parish. They and their neighbors raise cattle.

One week ago, and during the late afternoon, CW was sitting on her porch watching the pasture with a pair of binoculars. She regularly does this, but at the present time she wanted to monitor a newborn calf and another pregnant cow. That same day, she also noticed that there was a cow carcass lying in the field, that needed to be removed later by her husband or neighbor.

As she was monitoring the herd, she noticed some moved beyond the pasture near an old abandoned building on the property. As she focused in with the binoculars, she could not fathom what she was observing. There was a 8+ foot tall bipedal creature walking along the outside of the barbed wire fence. As she looked closer, the hairy beast was dark, almost black, in color and was what she could only describe as a walking wolf. The creature moved west to east, went behind some bushes, then continued back west. This is when CW noticed another similar bipedal creature trailing behind it! Both were about the same height and very similar in form. After a minute or so, the pair disappeared into the trees.

This is the first time CW has seen any creatures remotely like this. She believes that the pair were focused on the dead cow which was about 200 feet away from their location, though there was no subsequent predation on the carcass.

There had been an incident approximately 3 weeks prior, during the night when CW was in her house. She recalls hearing 'god awful screams' coming from the cattle herd. The next morning, at first light, her husband investigated the reason for the ruckus and found that a large portion of the barb wire fence had been trampled and that the herd was scattered throughout the woods. CW said that was the first and only time that this has occurred.

CW's daughter lives in an adjoining trailer and recently CW has been feeding her pets while the daughter travels. CW noticed, what she states as, 'long cat or dog prints' in the ground along the trailer. Her daughter did mention that she has observed panthers in the area previously. CW told me that she will attempt to obtain photos of the prints.

CW and her husband are very private and the exact location will be kept in confidence. I have contacted a well-regarded cryptid investigator and colleague to follow up on these incidents. Lon

Red Eyed 'Black Mass' Haunts Chicago Lakeview Apartment Building

A young Chicago couple discovers that a red eyed black mass haunts their Lakeview apartment building

"Here's a bit of the backstory. From late 2003 to summer 2005, my husband (who was my boyfriend at the time) and I lived in a haunted apartment in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago (by the corner of Melrose and Broadway).

When we first moved to this apartment, I often felt like I was being watched and sometimes had a sense of unease. But I was young (23 when we first moved in) and a senior in college so I blamed the feelings on stress and the layout of the apartment (which was a typical Chicago four plus one, we were on the second floor right over the garage and our living room window faced the living room window of another apartment; that apartment and mine almost always kept the blinds shut).

At the time I did not believe in the paranormal. I'm the sort that has to see something myself before I believe it, and once I do see it, I analyze it endlessly.

I went to bed one night, but as usual could not fall asleep quickly. Our two cats normally went to bed with me but they didn't on this night. After a while I sat up in bed and looked out the bedroom doorway. I can see the dining room area from bed, and if the cats were playing they would inevitably end up in that area (our apartment was very small, maybe 700 square feet if that, and the dining area was kind of central to the apartment layout). I hoped I would see them so I could call them to me. It was dark but not pitch dark because the apartment's windows let in dim light from our neighbors across the way as well as typical large city light pollution.

So, thanks to this light, my eyes quickly adjusted to the gloom. That's when I realized there was a very dark black (the blackest black you can think of--blacker than black, even, like velveteen tar) mass just pass where the apartment's very brief hallway ended and the dining area started. It was around 7 feet high, and had a rough head and shoulder/torso shape but the rest of it kind of faded off.

I wasn't alarmed at first--if anything I leaned forward to try to get a better look, because I absolutely couldn't believe my eyes. I was baffled! But when I leaned forward and gawked at this thing, it seemed to turn and look at me, and when it did, I saw two red eyes in the "head". I did not see any other features and I don't remember if the eyes were glowing or just plain red but they were indeed red.

When the thing looked at me, my amazement was quickly replaced by a deep, primal fear. And then it swooped through the bedroom doorway and towards me. I did the only thing I could think of, and that was duck under the covers like a kid hiding from the boogeyman.

I have been in some scary situations in my life but that particular fear was almost unearthly; the feeling reminded me of the intense terror you feel when you realize the monster in your nightmare has spotted you. After several moments I began to run out of air beneath the covers so I decided to elbow my sleeping husband in the ribs hard enough to irritate him and make him wake up/sit up/roll over/DO SOMETHING. It worked and when he didn't react strangely I figured the thing was gone....and it was.

I--and later my husband--saw the shadow again but it never appeared remotely as threatening. Altogether I saw the spirit there three times.

It took me years to come to terms with this experience. The closest explanation I could come to was sleep paralysis but other than the apparition looking similar to some of the hallucinations reported during sleep paralysis, there were no similarities to sleep paralysis. I had yet to fall asleep at that point and was able to move freely. The fact my husband later saw a black mass during waking hours (and I saw something else when I was awake) also helped me come to the conclusion that what I experienced wasn’t due to sleep paralysis.

With the assistance of the Chicago History Museum Research Center, I did research on the property and building; the apartment building was built in the early 1970s; before that a Jewish academy was on that site. Some time before that, in 1940, a house that was on site burned down (with no injuries or deaths). That house was once inhabited by a large family; one of their sons was a Marine that died of disease while deployed overseas during WWI. There's no record of the exact address prior to that.

I also sent a message to the property management company asking if anyone has ever reported anything related to a haunting or the paranormal (I had a hunch that the spirit moved throughout the whole building versus staying in my apartment) and I fully expected either a 'No' or no response from them. But to my surprise the guy responding said he would check with people in the office and get back to me. A couple days later he said, "Actually, I've been told that they were aware of the situation, but haven't had any reports of strange activity in a few years. Hope this helps." LB

“I went to Point Pleasant in August 2015 with my hubby and kids. We travel, going to odd places, haunted, etc. We found what some call the 'TNT igloos' at the old West Virginia Ordnance Plant. We were on a back dirt road. The sun was setting. An odd car would drive by slowly as we were getting our gear ready. I joked about the scary movies we see and how the locals hate out of towners and take it out on them. That people go missing or are captured. Okay, back to reality and time to press on.

It's getting dark. We got the flash lights and EMF meters. I went over the directions I saw on the internet (pond to left. Look for opening on right of the trail). There was so many weeds and overgrowth, it was hard to find. Then one of my kids yelled, 'There it is!' I saw a pathway about 20 feet long to my right. The weeds were shaped like a tunnel (probably from us tourists pulling and lifting them to get through). All four of us girls would have to duck and run through quickly after my hubby checks for spiders and webs, of course.

We got into the 'TNT igloo' and you could see a ton of graffiti and garbage...dirt bottom. It was pitch black at this point, only the light from our dollar store flashlights. We tried to take a photo with our tablet but they were all black. We started talking and playing with our echo. Then I told everyone, 'Quiet! I heard something.' We listened, hearing... and we all heard a noise. my kids started getting scared. My hubby, the big man he is, says, 'Its time to go, now!' I didn't want to leave. I was there to explore.

My family left me, running back to the car. I was alone in the igloo. When I got back in the car, we drove off. I asked everyone what did it sound like to them, the noise in or around the igloo. Everyone said, 'Wings flipping...big wings flapping above. 'My daughter's a 'sensitive.' and said that saw a shadow man in woods and a weird orb. Well, we came and left in one piece. Mission accomplished!” SW

“Back in 1998, my younger brother and I witnessed something huge hovering in the sky over our house in eastern Kentucky (a huge bat-like creature which mostly looks like a human with giant wings, hovering). It was gliding with its massive wings all the way expended and it was totally calm. During that time, we had total 3 hours of power shutdown due to a storm and after one week we faced the most terrifying flood ever recorded in our country. I never knew about Mothman at that time and never ever thought that there is or could be some connection between Mothman and natural disaster, until I watched so many videos and read a lot about Mothman and its prophecy.” RS

“Me and my brother saw a flying humanoid creature gliding above our house towards our front yard right above our tree. Our tree was only about 14 feet high. The body looked muscular almost as a heavy build. The wings were as a bat. We also noticed the wings had a few tears and the body had short hair almost a light brown tint. From the height it was flying, it seemed it had to be around 6 to 6'5 feet. The face we couldn't see because it was looking up forward. Me and my brother are not the only ones around the area that have seen the humanoid. Besides this phenomenon we have also seen paranormal incidents as well as UFO activity. We later found out our property (in Georgia) used to be a military base during WW1. I'm not sure if that has to do with anything but of all the things I've seen in including my family and neighbors. It would be unbelievable to most.” KA

Oklahoma Bigfoot Encounter Results in Memory Loss / Strange Activity

An Oklahoma resident observes a Bigfoot standing in his yard. Memory loss and a series of strange activity follows

"Was out rabbit hunting between the hours of 2130 CDT to about 2315 CDT on a farm outside of Maud, Oklahoma in April 2011. It was a clear and cold night with a quarter moon out.

Upon returning to my home, about 2315 CDT, I walked up on my patio which is about 5 feet off the ground. As soon as I reached the deck, I noticed a large human like figure that was bigger than any man I ever saw. I used the Surefire white light on my shotgun to see better. Due to light fog, I could only see about 25 feet with the light. The creature was out in the open enough to see an outline of the figure. I had seen all my animals act unusual prior, a feeling of being watched at hours of darkness on more then once. The figure was watching me and made eye contact. It was very large and close to 7 to 8 feet tall, was very stocky build, would guess well over 400 lbs.

The figure seemed annoyed that I pointed my shotgun at it. It seemed to have no fear of me or my animals. My dog (military trained) cowered down and would not respond to commands. I did contact a "Bigfoot team" that showed up within 72 hours of this. No evidence was found. No footprints, hair, nothing.

I did experience some lapse in memory there after. I am a retired Special Forces sniper with 10 yrs. experience and 3 tours in Iraq including the Iraq Invasion with the 3rd Inf. Div. on the frontlines. I have no knowledge after all I seen and done to describe this figure. I do need to be kept out of any public report because of my background and security clearance with the military. I just want answers and will provide full cooperation in person. The biggest thing that bothers me is the lack of fear from the figure and my fear back. I fear very little in life. Just want to get to the bottom of this." JN

NOTE: I was able to talk to this eyewitness a few days after I received the account, which was forwarded to me by an associate. I received the account about a year after the incident. The witness had been seeking medical treatment at a VA for memory loss, which he associates with his sighting. The doctor told the witness that he can't explain the sudden memory loss and felt that he had PTSD. His dog was euthanized not long after this incident because it refused to eat and was experiencing seizures.

There has been continued activity at the residence. A tractor was literally pushed over 100 feet through a pasture and flipped on its side at one point. The witness and his wife have also heard strange and unfamiliar 'chattering' sounds coming from outside at night. Another Bigfoot investigative team had come to the location a few months after the incident. They found no evidence, but were able to hear and record the chattering sounds, which they could not explain.

I have not been able to get in contact with the witness in recent years. From the information I have received, I believe the witness moved to another residence.

Unexplained 'Limping Humanoid' Seen in Western Michigan

A group of friends are kayaking in western Michigan when they hear tortured screams coming from the woods. As they leave the area, they encounter an unknown long haired limping humanoid
This account was from 5/6/2020:

"So this all just happened less than an hour ago and I’m still freaking out but here goes nothing.

Me and this friend of mine Mel (not his real name) usually spend our nights together around a campfire or out in the woods doing various things. Tonight we decided to go fishing out of kayaks on a river here in west Michigan. After we got on the water, it was rather peaceful. We could hear foxes and fish were coming right up to the boat.

We were shooting the sh*t for maybe 20 minutes before we hit this bend. Mel had brought a friend we’ll call Collin. Collin was ahead of us and said he could hear singing. We all stopped our kayaks and listened. Silence for 30 seconds then all of a sudden we hear this scream. It started high pitch almost like a bell and would end in these screams of torture. We hurried our way back to shore not too long after.

Now this is the part that still has me all anxiety filled. While we were loading up the kayaks into Mel’s truck we could still hear this screaming. I felt like it kept getting closer. By the time everything was packed up I heard it again this time sounding no more than a quarter mile up the road. Mel and I hopped into his truck, Collin in his and headed home. As we were about to pull off this dirt road onto the main road, I saw on the side of the road this humanoid creature hunched over, thin long gray hair covering its face almost to its knees, and it walked with a strong, and I mean strong limp. I freaked out and told Mel. He hadn’t seen anything but he felt like all of his energy had left his body and he almost blew the stop sign we were passing.

I told my fiancé 2 days ago I felt like I was going to see a creature I couldn’t comprehend. And I feel it happened tonight. I’m definitely not sleeping tonight. I’d like to get to the bottom of what I saw." TR

'Werewolf' Haunts Family For Over A Decade In Hillsborough County, Florida

For over a decade, a family has several encounters with a 'werewolf' or 'wolfman' at various locations in Hillsborough County, Florida

I recently received the following account:

"This incident occurred during the winter of 1991 in Hillsborough County, Florida. My mother, one of my cousins and I were coming back from a school concert. At the time, we lived in rural part of the county. We were three miles from our home when my mother hit the brakes real hard. I was in the backseat sleeping and my cousin was sleeping in front passenger side. I heard a hard thump and then mom hit the gas. I asked what happen. She screamed out "I just hit a werewolf!" My cousin's eyes were wide open and she wouldn't talk at all. My mother told me more details when we got home.

Before she hit it, she noticed a car on the side of the road up ahead. When she came up to it, the creature jumped right in front of our car. She was going about 45 mph when she hit the brakes. It landed on the hood of the car. Its face landed on the windshield. It had black fur and red eyes, a long mouth open to reveal a large set of teeth. Definitely not a guy in a suit. It pushed itself off the car leaving claw marks. My mother told me that the last time there was one in the area was over twenty years ago.

I believe it was in 2001, I worked maintenance at a factory (again in Hillsborough County, Florida) between 10 pm and 4 am. For about a week I heard weird sounds coming from back of the building which has thick brush. Not the typical animal sounds. One night I heard a loud crash coming from the side entrance. I investigated to find a large garbage can was thrown on top of the roof and rolled off. I was thinking "kids" until I got a strong whiff of something nasty. It wasn't the trash. Then I was thinking "skunk ape". I quickly picked up all the trash and went back into the building.

The next night I was traveling between the two buildings when the thick bushes started shaking. I heard an animal make a horrible sound, like it was being choked. I ran into the lighted parking lot and turned around. I saw a large humanoid shape appear out of the brush and it went back in. A couple nights later, my mother was waiting to pick me up when she saw a large shape come in under a light by a side entrance. It suddenly noticed her and went back into the shadows.

A week passed without incident. Again my mother was waiting to pick me up when she heard a couple of dogs barking close by. She turned to see a large hooded man walking behind the car. He was across the parking lot on the side of the road. The dogs belonged to couple of trailer folks nearby. These dogs travel in a pack of 4-5 and weighed between 60-90 lbs. They were running around the man barking and snapping at him. One of the large dogs got hold of his arm. Then my mother saw the man's face. It wasn't a man under that hood. A head of a black wolf became visible. The unearthly being shook and then threw that dog like a doll. The rest of the dogs ran for their lives. The hooded creature walked into the nearby woods. The next night was a full moon and I heard its unearthly howl. We never heard and saw it again. Now a housing project occupies the land where it once lived.' Name Withheld

White Figure Confrontation in Cemetery Sets Off Chain of Malevolent Activity

A group of friends encounters a unknown white figure while exploring a venerable cemetery. This begins a string of strange and scary activity.

"This happened about a year ago when myself and two of my partners (who will be referred to as K and W) decided on visiting this 150 year old graveyard at night. Now, I am a sensitive/empath/indigo/whatever, W and K are blocked off energy-wise. The walk in the cemetery was dark and peaceful, at first. We wandered a while and read some stones, and eventually at a crossroads K noticed something and walked off. He came back, and whispered "There's someone over there, I'm gonna check it out." The moment he walked away again, I felt eyes watching me from everywhere and an overwhelming primal sense of fear. I froze, and W strained to see what K was looking at.

About 7 or 8 minutes later, K was back and looking spooked. He told me that there was a stone white figure, darting through the trees. I was asked if I wanted to leave, and I said no. So we stayed, and wandered a little more. After a little longer, we came across this huge marble mausoleum, the door of which was made of glass and you could see through it. Getting closer set me off. Everything felt wrong and the dread was back. There was an extremely prickly feeling all over my skin. K touched the door and felt it too. Both K and myself saw a shadow moving around inside the mausoleum as we stood there, and the moment he touched the door, the shadow disappeared.

We ran, eventually finding a place to sit for a moment. I was completely overwhelmed and continuing to feel like we were being watched. K was really freaking out, getting dizzy and very quiet. He seemed really off, like he'd seen something I hadn't. I was asked again if I wanted to leave, and this time I said yes. We left, and the whole walk home, myself and K felt the dread again. That inhuman primal fear.

Once we got home, W immediately fell asleep on the couch, while K and I began to panic. Both of us felt extremely dizzy and weak. And then we heard knocking. It started softly, only 3. as time went on it got more and more frantic sounding, but not much harder. We couldn't shake the dread for a good 30 or so minutes. When the dread left, we were left drained mentally and physically and decided on going upstairs and attempting to get some sleep. We assured each other that we would not open the door, thus we are safe.

At some point, while watching TV to try and calm down, I got overheated and K opened the door to the upstairs patio and turned on the fan. That was another thing we did wrong. Around 3:20 am, K woke up and he remembers only being able to move his head around. The door had opened on its own about halfway and a child with black eyes, who looked about 12 with extremely messy shortish hair and face covered by a shadow, was standing there and staring. He remembers the most intense terror hes ever felt. So much that it physically hurt. He shut his eyes and held them closed until the terror passed and he fell back asleep.

The house was already haunted (different story) but the activity has been kicked up a notch or two. The cat goes nuts because of it. Since then, for both me and K, depression and anxiety has become much more intense. I can barely sleep at night, and neither can K. There has been a constant dull ringing in my ears. Occasionally dread, so bad it hurts, will take over K for 20-30 minutes. I've been having random pains in various parts of my abdomen. TVs, radios and lights turn on and off by themselves and we are both constantly feeling watched and intense fear.

I can't find any sources on how to deal with or get rid of this energy. I also practice witchcraft and nothing I've done (casting circles, salt, cleanings etc. etc.) has worked. Whatever this is, whatever it wants, is having effects on our physical and mental health. I feel so drained. Someone tell me what to do." PV

NOTE: I sense that the use of witchcraft, and possibly other occult practices, is the root cause of the activity. Going to a cemetery under those conditions is simply like pointing a loaded gun to your head...ideal for gathering attachments with all sorts of malevolent energy. Unexplained Noisy 'Humanoid' Encountered in Utah's Uinta Mountains

A teen girl and her grandfather encounter a noisy unexplained humanoid while hunting in the remote Uinta Mountains of Utah

"Here are details and specifics on an experience. Let me first clarify that this was 4 years ago, when I was 15 on a muzzleloaders mule deer hunt in the far north eastern part of Utah, which contains some of the most remote (and beautiful) places in the state. I’ve been frequently out in this area spreading in Summit County that cuts in and out of lower Wyoming since before I can remember. This includes lots of hiking, backpacking, camping, hunting and being involved in some of my now retired grandfather’s work as a biologist/conservation officer and wildlife/land manager. I am skeptical of things not proven by methods of science, but I don’t deny all of those things. I find that it’s impossible for science to know of all that is out there in our vast world.

My grandfather has seen mountain lions, bears, birds of all kinds, small mammals, ruminants, plants and natural phenomena for a majority of his life, and he understands so much that many people, including myself, will never be able to even imagine. He’s scientific, honest straight forward, level headed. He’s agnostic and is not superstitious and often used to (lovingly and respectfully) tease a certain CO who thinks certain bigfoot, skinwalkers and other beings exist. Other than this experience, he has never encountered an animal that he could not at least partially (if not completely) identify, Other than the natural, innate fear of being in close quarters with a bear, a drunken and belligerent hunter, or incredibly potent tranquilizer medication, he’s told me over and over he’s never been terrified of an animal or experience like this, only curious or surprised.

It was late September and we were in a small camp by a lake in the high Uinta Mountains, hunting both grouse and mule deer with muzzleloaders. The camp was a small collection of men and women my grandfather had worked with over the years as a supervisor/biologist/CO and these were people I grew up with. One of the women (a new wife to one of the guys) had shot a buck deer, injuring but not killing it immediately and they had lost track of it, Devastated by the thought of wasting the animal, she returned to camp in the afternoon upset, and concerned that the deer had run into an even more secluded area of the mountain which was hard to reach from the trail that she had shot from. This was a place my grandfather was familiar with because it was such a pain in the ass to get to, with lots of deadfall and steep terrain. We volunteered to go in the late afternoon to search for the deer, following a scant blood trail that she had tracked for a while before getting fatigued and intimidated by the terrain. Because both my grandfather and I were in good shape and he was so familiar, it didn’t seem like a big deal. Before we left she mentioned hearing what she assumed was coyotes, which made her even more so concerned that if the deer died, they would ruin the meat and hide before she could harvest it.

We took off in the early evening, expecting to be back within an hour or two after searching and having our guns with us, in case we found the animal still alive or came across another buck worth trying to harvest. It was steep in places, with lots of deadfall of varying heights making the hike slower and more tedious than we had hoped, making us understand the other hunter’s fatigue. She had marked the blood trail with bright orange pieces on the trees which we followed for maybe 20 minutes and then it got hard to track. The sun was getting close to setting at this point and we knew getting out would be just as long as getting in. We had just about decided to stop when we found a spot near a fallen tree that looked like it had been recently bedded down in, followed with spatters of fairly fresh blood and we continued for longer.

When the sun had just about set and the light had faded from the trees, we removed the firing caps from our guns to make them now completely safe as it was now illegal and irresponsible to hunt in such absence of decent light. My grandfather pulled out his large maglite flashlight from his pack and I put in my head lamp to begin the hike back, using our GPS to find the trailhead.

About 10 minutes on the way back, we started to hear more movement among the trees. It was normal for animals to start moving now that the sun had gone down, as animals would likely be starting to head towards clearings for water or to graze in the safety of lower light. Small and distant sounds of crunching leaves, patterings of hooves animals or small bits of movement in the trees from squirrels or birds were common and expected. We did not expect the deafening, disturbing sound we heard next, which vaguely and initially reminded me of a coyote howl, but by a few seconds in it was unidentifiable, frightening and human-like. It started with what sounded like a person screaming, but then got louder and more intense, with a screech to it. So unlike any coyote, or any animal we had ever heard. Then was the almost chittering that came in between the shrieks, and the movement of the trees becoming almost calculated, almost threatening. We stopped dead in our tracks, frozen as my grandfather started using the light to look around. I was far more freaked out than him at this point. He just seemed perplexed, curious, and a little baffled at what could make that sound. It sounded human, but with no words, with no urge of tone of “help” or “I’m just screaming to mess with you.” We continued on after it mostly stopped, and it seemed like the other, natural and distant sounds had gone almost silent. I listened intently to the sound of my boots crunching with the dry aspen leaves underfoot, trying to tell myself that it was just some weird coyote with a horribly deformed larynx or something.

Maybe 20 minutes from the main trail that would lead us to the truck, we heard the chattering sound again and sounds of thumping against dead trees. Looking around with our lights, in between dead fall maybe 12-15 feet in front of us was a large-human looking thing. It was almost hunched down with long, slender arm around the front of a standing aspen. The aspen of course was pale white with the knots being dark brown, and whatever it was had skin almost as pale. I caught a very brief glimpse of its face. It seemed round and the eyes seemed sunken and I could not tell you eye color other than a flash of reflection on the eye from my light, and that it’s face seemed sunken and emaciated. I didn’t seen any fur or hair. I never felt like it looked right at me, more my grandfather and just in our direction almost confused and curious, like he was before with the sound. For a mere couple of seconds I caught a glimpse of it, but that was it. I looked down at the ground holding my eyes shut tight trying to imagine being safe and secure in the truck, and my grandfather took a few stumbling steps backward toward me.

I heard the thing go off to our side, moving quickly and with purpose through the trees, to the side and then dropped down behind us I would assume according to the sound. But I hope it went in the opposite direction. My grandfather turned to where it had veered off, as to follow it, but he soon stopped and looked at me. I had never before and never since seen him so confused, baffled, horrified, curious and in awe. I was crying at this point, ugly crying trying to muffle my shaking breath and voice, and I asked him “what was that???” Over and over I asked, and he had no answer for me. He pulled his gun off his shoulder (sling) and put a cap back on the nipple of the igniter, making the gun “live” and he then carried it in front of his body in his arm. He pulled out another head light to put on himself.

We started walking again towards the trail, as he listed off as like talking to himself as to what it WASNT, things like “couldn’t of been a deer or elk or moose. It had arms, it was hunched, it stood upright” or “a bear? A very sick bear? It could’ve been a bear. Was it the light?”. We heard the sound, the screeching human howl distantly once more before reaching the trail, which was dirt and gravel but fairly flat and no deadfall. We practically jogged to the truck. I locked the doors immediately and sobbed, and my grandfather turned on music as loud as possible to try to distract me on the way back to camp. I was a mess when we arrived back, and he went to talk with the others by the fire when he got me settled in my sleeping bag in my bunk. He explained some to his friends but I don’t know what all was said.

The next day everyone was extra sweet to me, trying to comfort me and saying it was probably a sick animal that looked scary in the dark. The deer the hunter shot was found the next day in the daylight, scavenged quite harshly by what I assume was coyotes. To this day, he has no clue what it was, nor what that sound was, and before and since I’ve heard both coyote and many other animal sounds that never even compared to that sound. The scientist in me, and in him, the hopeful and blissfully ignorant people in us hope and speculate it was just a deformed, sick animal in scant light but I still have no clue of what that thing was, and I hope I never ever experience it again."
