'Birdman' Winged Humanoid Encountered Near Barranquilla, Colombia
A Boy Scout leader in Colombia encounters a 'Birdman' and experiences lost time while camping with his troop. One of the boys has a similar incident not long afterwards
I recently found the following account:
"This happened like 10 years ago, on a hill southwest from Barranquilla, Colombia (Puerto Caimán, near Cuarto de Milla). I'm skeptical about a lot of things, but this, I'm absolutely sure that what I saw there was real.
I was camping with my Boy Scout troop in a not-so-friendly place (Very hot, really rough terrain, awfully humid. Our troop was more like military service than scout life). It was kind of far away from the main road and the main base was in a tree covered hill. I think that could be worth noted that is less than 5km from a indigenous sacred site known as "The sacred territory of the creator" (Hu Waap Jorhu Ko) and probably it is a sacred site too. I don't know since the tribes that inhabited the area were forced by the Spanish to abandon their belief, traditions and language so, there's a lot of things we don't know about them (even I being descendant of them).
It was 3 pm, we send 3 people to do the dishes after lunch. There was a small lagoon 5-10 minutes downhill. It shouldn't take more than half an hour for them to be back. An hour passes, they haven't came back. Knowing them, surely they're just having a trivial and boring gossip conversation, but as a patrol leader I have to call them back. They didn't respond to whistles so, I personally went downhill to find them.
The way to the lagoon is mostly a 2 1/2 foot path between a steep hill and a dry river with dense vegetation and closed curves. I was walking carelessly until I noticed something behind a curve. At first I thought it was a really massive vulture, but I felt uneasy so I started going back in silence until I stepped on a dry branch. After the crackling this thing extend its vulture-like wings, showing a very muscular naked human-like back and then a head/face that watched me. Then it took off with a sound more like an helicopter than a bird.
Nonsense! I thought. There must be a rational explication, maybe it was just my imagination. I arrive to the lagoon and effectively, they were having the most boring and dumb of the conversations. I told them to pack everything and started going back to the campsite, when all the troop came out of the tree covered area (the lagoon is in a clear) and told me that I was taking too long too (My encounter with the Birdman shouldn't have take more than 5 seconds, or so I thought).
Anyways, there was a very cocky boy in the troop that said "I'll go front!" and entered alone to the woods. 5 second later I heard the same helicopter like sound, and the boy came running from the woods, hyperventilating and shouting "I saw a man with wings!"
Everybody laughed. I didn't said a word." MB
I highly recommend Linda Godfrey's recently released documentary 'Return to Wildcat Mountain: Wisconsin's Black Panther Nexus.' I'm positive that any wildlife and/or cryptid enthusiast will truly enjoy this production.The film focuses on sightings of 'black panthers' by residents in and around the town of Hillsboro, which is located in the Wildcat Mountain region. Their interviews and stories are very credible and well compiled. Some of the witnesses are former DNR employees and big cat experts who have had first hand encounters with these beasts. The history and folklore behind these creatures is also well documented.

Winged Cryptids on Native Lands: California, North Dakota, Washington & Oklahoma
The following accounts are winged cryptid sightings from or near various Native American reservations throughout the United States
“Flying Creature. The first sighting I had was in 2011 (in Northern California). I was going for an evening walk and noticed something fly over the road that's nearby. It was barely visible and as dark as the night sky. It was triangle shaped so I assumed it was a large bird. I told my sister what I had seen and a few minutes later we both see the same creature fly by. We both agree it's too large to be any type of owl or eagle. I thought maybe it was a Condor but according to a website those birds cannot see at night.
Now jump ahead two years later it's March 2013. I go outside to get some fresh air and notice a flying object over the house. This time I get a real close look and I can't believe my eyes! The only description that I could think of that matches what I saw is a Pterodactyl. I'm not even joking!! It glides by totally silent and makes a turn in the sky and I can see underneath the wings. I call my sister to come outside but it's gone. Ten minutes later it flies back over the house barely visible this time as it has climbed to a higher elevation. This creature is as big as a pickup truck. The wingspan is bigger than any flying bird we know of.
Jump ahead to June 2013 it's late at night I have the door open for air and we hear the loudest scream/roar of an unknown creature. The dogs in the area were barking after the roar. I step out on the porch and see nothing but hear the noise again and by the sound of it you can tell that it's circling in the sky. My sister also hears the noise as well. I thought the neighbors would all wake up because the noise was so loud. The noise was like if a horse could roar. I've never heard any noise like it my entire life. We were very startled and confused and we still wonder what we saw and heard? I'd just like to see if anyone reading this has seen or heard of anything similar because this is very strange. We live on a reservation in Northern California. I don't smoke anything weird or drink! I know that's the first thing people might think. Thanks.”

“I was driving near our home on the Fort Berthold Reservation, North Dakota and it was about 4:00 in the afternoon (circa 1987). It was full daylight. Just me and my son, 6, who was asleep. I looked to my right across the highway, along a shelterbelt, at tree height I saw what resembled a stingray flying along the trees. I slowed my car and tried to watch it for as long as I could then it was too far down south to really see anymore. The object moved like a stingray swimming and it was huge, about the size of a car. I have not seen anything like that since.”

“Me and my wife seen something gliding in the Yakima Rez, Washington. We were heading to Yakima to pick up some groceries and I saw it as I pulled up to the light and it’s around 12:00-1:00 PM and it’s sunny as hell but this thing was pitch black and it was far from us but it was too big to be a type of bird but when I got my wife’s attention to look she saw the exact same thing I tried to speed up to catch a big glimpse of it by when we get to where I seen it, the thing was nowhere to be found. I don’t know what it is but we see it all the time.”

“In Caddo Nation, Oklahoma. I saw something one night on my way home from work. It stood 4 1/2 to 5 feet tall. Its face was like a human's but it had characteristics like a bird. Its feathers were fluffy, like putting a wet feathers in a light socket. As I drove by, it must have flew, because the last thing I know, I'm hearing wings flapping and the moonlight is blocked out as it flies over. I put the pedal to the metal and got home as fast as I could.”

Winged Cryptids on Native Lands: Nebraska, North Dakota & Wyoming
The following accounts are winged cryptid sightings from various Native American reservations on the plains of the Midwest
“About 2 weeks ago (April 2020), I was walking with my friend by the houses that were being built near the Warrior Apartments in Winnebago, Nebraska. We were coming from a friend's house looking at the stars in the sky and messing around saying they were UFOs. That’s when we noticed it. It was flying kind of low but it was flying as if it was trying not to be seen, but we saw it. It got over our heads and we were still watching it. We could see its wings flapping. The creature was big like the size as a human. Whatever it was really scared me. I got chills just watching it fly away. I don’t think it saw us because it kept on flying. I think what we saw was the Mothman. I never heard of him being on our Rez but what we saw frightened me.”

“Between Manderee and Parshall, North Dakota. A few years back (around 2010), I was hanging out with my friends. It started to get late and it starting snowing really bad so I told one of them maybe he should take me home before it gets worse or too late. While driving, the snow was blowing everywhere and all we could see was the road and snow coming at us. After driving for a bit, we both saw this object run in the front of the car and it turned into an eagle or owl! Its wings were as big as the windshield. It was there for just a few seconds and then disappeared. Both of us looked at one another in shock! We don't know what it was but it was pretty scary! I'm just glad someone else was with me so I didn't feel crazy.”

“WindRiver Reservation (Wyoming). Back in 1997, I was 20 years old me and my girlfriend couldn't sleep. So we go outside to enjoy the cool summer air. We sit on the porch. We're talking and I see something flying or gliding in the air. I say, 'Look at that!' We watch it land on the power lines, not the power pole, but the power lines. It's was all dark it looked like a shadow. It was about 120 yards away. You could see it sitting on the power lines and we could see it looking around. You could see its head looking left to right and it had wings. It was about 2:30 AM. We both said that it's a bad spirit, bad medicine.
We got up real slow, walking backwards into the house so it wouldn't notice us. It was all black with wings gliding down and putting its legs and hands on the power lines looking around. I don't believe in this stuff but it was real because my girlfriend seen it to. We smudged ourselves and the house and prayed. I seen a picture someone posted and it reminded me because it looks exactly like what we seen. I just got a flashback. I'm enclosing the picture.”

Possible 'Rake' Humanoid Encounter in Eastern Kentucky
2 teenage girls have a bizarre encounter with a pale white humanoid while ATVing in the eastern Kentucky mountains
"I'm not sure that what I saw. Names and the details leading up to this encounter aren't very important so I'll just set the scene. Two 14-year-old girls on an isolated eastern Kentucky mountaintop a few hours after I flipped the ATV, injuring my friend's leg. I had tried to act quickly, but I was too weak to get the ATV upright by myself. Once the both of us lifted it, we promptly flooded the engine.I helped my friend up, put it in neutral and decided to push the ATV down the mountain with my friend occasionally tapping the break.
Suddenly, she halts our progress and asks me to jump on the back. In front of us was a monster of a snake. It was the fattest, angriest hog snake I've ever seen, right across our path. Blocking us. By this time, it was almost dusk. Because the snake was easily the size of my arm, we decided to just stare it down, waiting on it to crawl on. Finally, I could push again, though I wasn't thrilled about walking next to this monster. I didn't have a long way to go and we'd be able to coast on down, or maybe my parents would come searching for us. There was still plenty of light, but the sky was pink from sunset.
Simultaneously, our heads snap to look behind us. I'm not entirely sure why we even looked. There wasn't a sound, no twig snap. It had to be something instinctual, because we both looked back at the tree lined path we'd slowly come through. Every hair that I own, raised. My blood ran cold in an instant. I spared one quick glance at my friend, mostly because I hadn't seen it yet. She had. She was completely frozen and I followed her gaze to about 15ft behind me.
There sat this creature, hunched over. Boneless, yet with some humanoid form. It was skin. Pale-white skin. At first, I thought that was all that it was. Then, barely a second after that panicked observation, I noticed it's face. It's eyes. They were so deeply set that I at first terrified glance, I thought that they were only empty black pits. The setting sun struck them just enough that I could see the refraction. It's nose was flat. This hunched, naked, pale creature was studying me just the same. It's lips were pale, pink and trembling. A horrifying thought informed me that this gaunt creature was famished or starving. As if it heard my inner dialogue, it raised its skin wrapped, skeletal hand to silence me. Then, it waved its claws one finger at a time.
Then, the sweetest sound that I'd ever heard, the ATV started. My friend must have turned away long enough to try it. So, I risked it as well. I leaped onto the back of the ATV, sobbing, and wrapped my arms around my buddy so tightly. When I glanced back it was gone.
Halfway down the mountain, we ran into my parents. It was pitch black by that time. We survived and talked about it later at the hospital. Turns out, she didn't even know how to start the ATV. It wasn't her.
It's been a few years since this happened. I haven't been back on the mountain. I'm still friends with her and we've talked about it a few times. We've theorized various possibilities as to what it could've been, but we can't agree. I've tried to find similar encounters, even in mythology. I'm sure that I've not explained it very well, but I did try my best. Do you have any ideas about what it is? Did it want to hurt or help us out? We both saw it, so at least I know I'm not crazy." IC

Baffling Bloody Auto Accident 'Time Slip' in Southern Indiana
A bizarre incident near a small southern Indiana town. In 1969, 2 teens come a across what seemed like a recent auto accident. But later they discover that this must have be a time slip
I recently received the following account:
"In 1969, my boyfriend and I would drive the country roads just listening to the radio and enjoying the night breeze. I grew up in southern Indiana and the area we were driving had two lane roads, a lot of both pasture and forest. Houses were few and far between. However auto accidents were not uncommon in these roads as there were many curves and hills.
One night we saw a 1956 Chevy off the road that had rolled over. We knew many people that had bought the ‘55 and ‘56 models and renovated them. We immediately pulled over to see if people inside the rolled over car were injured. Our perception was that it had happened just moments prior as the engine was running and the back tire that was visible was spinning. We ran to the car and got down on the ground to get a view of the interior to see if person or people were injured and get them out. We were in an area where no houses were located for miles. It wasn’t unusual then to get people out of an accident and take them to the hospital or one person stay with an injured person and other to drive to nearest place to call for police and an ambulance. The wrecked car had been restored to pristine condition. However now the roof was caved in and after rolling it had hit a tree and that side was damaged. We couldn’t see anyone in the car.
My boyfriend climbed in the window and turned ignition off. We were relieved that nobody was in this wreck but baffled at why they had left engine running. My friend had quite a large amount of blood on his tee shirt from inside the car. We left just assuming someone else had gotten there before us and had taken the person or people to the hospital.
We lived in a very small town and over the next few days asked about who had had the accident. We described the spot and the model and color of the car. Nobody knew of any accident on that night. Something seemed off to both of us as most people in that small town knew about things such as that. Also most people knew who drove what especially the renovated popular Chevys. Just par for the course for our very small town.
Two days passed and we decided to drive back to the scene and see if possibly there was a house closer to the accident that we may have missed. We drove back to the site and there it was, however it was a sight that neither of us have ever understood. Forty years later we still talk about it. The car was there in same position, rolled over and up against the tree. However it was apparent it had been there for years. It was rusted, the interior was deteriorated and the dashboard was smashed. No windshield or back windows. The car had vines growing through it and the tires had completely rotted. The ignition switch that my boyfriend had turned off with the key and key chain had long ago rusted. His bloody tee shirt was still in the trunk of his car and we are still at a loss as to how we saw an accident that had apparently happened in the past. Does anyone have an answer?" LE

Black Winged Humanoid Encountered on Multiple Occasions in Mandan, North Dakota
A resident of Mandan, North Dakota describes encounters with a black winged humanoid by himself and other witnesses
"The event I'm sharing happened in the fall of 2014 in Mandan, North Dakota near an Agricultural Research Lab area (west of Mandan).
I was driving with my friend Cin. We were going to visit her boyfriend who lived in a housing development not far from there. We had to go up and down some hilly areas of the road. On the bottom of a hill was a street light with trees on both sides of the road. As we approached the street light area of the road this huge thing came flying across the road no more than 15 feet from our car and about 10 feet off the ground. We both made out human-like feet hanging down on this thing as it soared across the road. It looked like it had a cape on (but it very well could have been folded back wings or something). This black thing must have been 7 feet tall and maybe 3 feet wide. We didn't see much detail as it was dark (the light from this street light was one of those yellow tinted ones and didn’t give off much light) and this thing was matte black. It landed on the other side of the road on its feet (very odd how it started out flying like superman then went back at an angle then onto its feet as it landed on the other side).
It seemed to notice my car as it turned its “head” or whatever you want to call it (didn’t look like A human head by any means). It then walked down into the little ditch and into the grove of trees. I stopped my car and got out and started calling down into the grove of trees “Hey! Come back we won't hurt you?! I just wanna see you and talk to you.” My friend Cin was freaking out and screaming for me to get into the car that she “didn’t feel like getting attacked by that thing!”
I must of stood outside my car for 2 or 3 minutes before I got back in. I then turned my car to face the grove of trees and shined my high beams down into it trying to see if I could find it. I had a feeling that whatever it was wouldn’t hurt me (but what the hell did I know? I mean my gawd it could have swooped down and carried me off!? ahh the stupidity of youth. Invincible right?) I did have the feeling that it was watching us from somewhere in the grove of trees but never thought to look up into the trees for it.
We told her boyfriend when we arrived at his place and he said that he's heard of similar experiences from neighbors and friends that had heard large wings flapping over the heads and or seeing things like we'd described run across the highway in front of cars at night.
Fast forward to last year (2019). I'm up at Starbucks visiting with my friend Brook who works there and another Starbucks employee starts reading off a sighting from your website about a Mothman encounter (actually that’s how I found out about your website) which makes me recount what I'd experienced 5 years earlier. Then my friend Brook tells of an encounter her grandmother had while coming back from Prairie Nights (which is on the old highway that runs past the Agricultural Lab in Mandan). In 2005 she was driving home from the casino and approached a sharp curve in the highway so slowed down. Then her headlights caught a black figure in a (quote on quote) “cape” and her not wanting to hit this figure slowed way down. When this all black being shot straight up into the air like a rocket! No wings opened or anything. Freaked the grandmother out big time. The area it happened was within 3 miles from the area I saw it, as there is only one sharp curve on that whole highway and I know exactly where it occurred. But it has to be the same thing Cin and I saw. Anyway that’s all there really is to that I just wanted to share that with you. So keep it real Lon. Peace out, Shane B."

Long Legged 'Demon Cryptid' Causes Havoc on Rural Mississippi Farm
A truly bizarre cryptid encounter is experienced by an extended family in rural Mississippi. The incident may have resulted in a suicide and other strange behavior
The following account was recentLY forwarded to me:
"I was about 12 years old at the time. My aunt has cancer and my mom, brother and I went to stay with them. They lived on a small farm in a very secluded part of Mississippi. During the day we didn’t want to be in the house. My younger cousins didn’t like seeing their mom while she did her treatments so we would go play in the woods or ride horses. We were there for about four days.
On the second day my uncle came home (he worked on a boat) and ran outside, grabbed us, and locked us in a room in the house. His reason for this is “there’s something killing animals in the woods. Could be a big cat or bear. I’m going kill it.” He wasn’t the most stable man ever and eventually ended up taking his own life four years later. While we were all trapped in the house that night and he was out in the woods we could hear the animals on the farm making so much noise. This wasn’t normal happy animal noises. My mom was in the room with my aunt and they were watching a movie. We went into the hallway near her room to tell them we were scared and almost instantly it started. Screams and prayers flew out of that room.
Apparently my mom, aunt and my cousin saw something at the foot of the bed trying to grab my aunt. They described it as grey with long fingers and a big mouth. When this happened I ran to the home phone to call my dad who was living in Shanghai at the time. I was so scared and all of the adults were screaming. I looked out the window in the back room to see if anyone was on the farm. All I saw was both horses, and two dogs laying down. They were all spread out and the dogs were close to the porch by the bedroom which made no sense. They were on a chain closer to the dog houses but I knew the chain couldn’t reach the porch or at least where I saw them. I could have sworn I saw my uncle in the distance and being a young kid who is very scared of what’s going on I ran outside and stumbled off the porch. I saw both dogs laying there and the looked like they were sleeping from afar but up close I knew they were dead. They looked like they were crushed. These were big farm dogs that would help herd the cows. The dogs face and body was wet and the chain they were on looked liked it was cut.
My cousin ran out after me and told me we had to go to the barn because she thought she also saw her dad. We ran to the barn where the horses were supposed to be and when we got there one of them was very obviously dead. Its head and neck were hardly recognizable. The other house was close to dying. I’ll be honest it looked like a big giant bear came and attacked them. We climbed to the second story of the barn and decided that we were going to look out the window into the woods to see if we can see her dad since we both thought we saw him earlier.
We were up there for maybe 5 or so minutes when we saw what I can only describe as a very long legged, long torso dog running into the field in front of us. Almost like a deer figure. We saw her dad walking to the house and so we followed. We screamed at him but he ignored us. We told him about the animals but he already knew. He was very dirty and he had to shoot a cow that night. We got into the house and everyone was sitting in the dining room screaming about what happened. Me and my cousin kept quiet until my aunt said it was a demon or a skinless man. I told her it looked like a long legged dog or a deer and she told me it was going to come in the house and find me. I was really scared and my mom and her got into a fight because of it. We were told it was a wolf and or a bear that killed the animals and we couldn’t go outside at night anymore.
My uncle would lock the barn door from the inside and sleep in it every night after that. We all slept in one part of the house. And since then I haven’t been able to talk about this to my cousins or my aunt. My uncle killed himself and they ended up living with me for a year and a few months. During that time my cousin would strangle me in my sleep and physically abuse my animals. We kicked them out but she would write me letters about what happened. I’m still on edge about it and I’m 20 years old now." SJ

'Faceless' Beings: What Are They?
3 separate accounts describing 'faceless' people or humanoids. Are these actual corporeal entities or a manifestation?
"This is one of the two encounters I have had with paranormal entities in my life. About 4 or 5 times I saw something that I could not even come close to explaining. When I was walking with my mother going from place to place I would see people without faces. They looked totally normal otherwise with clothing just like you and me the only weird thing was the fact they had no face. Like fabric stretched over a softball would be the best description. I always dismissed them as my mind playing tricks on me but as I grew older and became aware of what exists in our world I realized that I had a encounter with a cryptid.
What was especially strange is no one around me even noticed these things existed. They were totally oblivious. It was like they weren’t even there. Another odd thing was I could always tell they were looking at me to. Even though they had no eyes to look at me in the first place. I was always extremely scared whenever I saw one a feeling of fear and dread always accompanied a sighting. But my mind filed it away as a figment of my imagination to avoid me becoming psychologically damaged I think. Does anyone have any idea what the hell those things were? I am at a loss here." AP

"My friend D and I were both insomniacs so we would spend a lot of time driving around at night listening to radio shows like Art Bell. We liked to go up into the forest roads around our town (Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canada). One night we were up in the hills, probably 5 miles from the nearest house. We come around a blind corner and there is an old lady walking on the side of the road. She was wearing a long coat and a hood or shawl. We both muttered something like "what the...." D laughed and said, "Should we stop?" He slowed down the car, about to ask if she was OK, lost, needed a lift, etc. But as we got close, we noticed she had no face. It looked like she had a big grey hole were her face should be. No details of features. Just a grey void. We were basically speechless and just slowly rolled by her. I watched her in the rear view mirror as we turn a corner. We couldn't think of any explanation why someone would be out there at 2-3 am. We both saw the same lack of facial features." MX

"This happened recently around 2:00 pm. So, I'm on my way to pick up my kiddo from school but I get there a little early and didn't want to be the first person in the pick up line (social anxiety). I pass the school to kill some time and decide to check out this little park that I've always wanted to visit. It's a small historical park with a river and a 19th century gristmill. There's a paved walking trail and one bathroom, nothing fancy.
So, I pull into the parking lot and there are only two cars there; a new, white BMW sedan and an older gold Honda. I park in front of the Honda on the other side of the lot and our cars are facing the same direction. Anyways, I am a real paranoid Patty and glance into the cars and they are both empty. So I go about my way and check out the park. I walk along the path and there is a small waterfall and then after that you get to the gristmill. Really cool building.
So I kill enough time and head back to my car. I get about 15 feet from my car and smell an intense dead animal smell. I've had a hefty handful of paranormal experiences and instantly feel uneasy. I quickly get into my car and look into my rearview mirror to start reversing. In the rearview I see inside the Honda and I instantly freaked because in the backseat I see a faceless "woman" with long brown, disheveled hair. Faceless as in hollow and all black with no features. And her hair looked like it had mattes with twigs.
I'm spooked and keep my eyes on the figure as I head out. Then its head turned and its gaze followed me the whole ride out." HS
