'BEK' Boy Encounter: Malevolent or Benevolent?

A young black eyed boy suddening knocks at the door and persuades the woman to let him in. The experience evolves into something unexpected

"It was late October 2019, I was cooking while listening to my favorite radio station, when I heard someone knocking at the door. I was wondering who could possibly be, given that I live alone and at that moment I was not waiting for anyone, but since I was used to accepting Amazon deliveries from some neighbors I headed straight for the entrance, while the knocking grew stronger and more insistent. The situation was weird, since the couriers normally used the door bell until then, but at the moment I didn't give it much importance.

I opened the door and found myself in front of a child who appeared to be more or less 10 years old. He was wearing some strange clothes, I thought he could come from the countryside. He immediately told me: "I need help. Let me in." I asked him why and where his parents were. Was he lost?

He simply replied: "I have to enter." His voice was flat, monotone, almost synthetic. It was not the kind of voice you would have expected from a child. At first I could not look him straight in the face, partly because it was twilight and partly because he was looking towards my feet. He then put his hand on the door frame. There was something odd that I couldn't explain and it was scaring me. I didn't know exactly what it was because he was just a child. I wanted to close the door, but I couldn't do it; something in my mind prevented me. Perhaps the internal conflict that breaks out when something you take for granted turns out to be different without giving you the ability to assimilate it. At that point he stared at me and I immediately realized that his eyes were solid black, there was no iris, there was no sclera. Only pure darkness.

It was a surreal situation, he was there, right before my very eyes and I was scared. I kept staring at him, being unable to look away from that deep black. I was stuck. In a flat, calm voice he said: "I need help. Let me in. I'm just a child."

My body wanted to abruptly close the door with force, but his eyes told me not to do it, my mind told me not to do it. I felt compelled to do what he was asking me, the only thought in my mind was: "In fact he is just a child who simply needs help."

I moved aside and let him in. He kept looking at me with his empty eyes. The odd thing is that they were empty, but at the same time they instilled in me a sense of peace I never felt before. At this point I didn't know if he was speaking verbally or telepathically. I was confused, it was like he was inside my head. He introduced himself as Eli. He took my hand and I felt a slight electric current go through my skin, the same kind of feeling when you put the laptop's power supply on the skin and your hair stands up.

I don't know exactly what he did at that moment, but he told me about religions and death, how they were used for the purpose of power, how reality was distorted. He showed me horrible things, unspeakable events and I FELT HIS SUFFERING. All in the name of God, whatever religion it is. He also told me that the God we believe does not exist, there are only energy and souls and I believed him. He then said he would come back.

He simply left the house, turned the corner and to this day I have never seen him again. I'll wait for him.

To date, no negative events have occurred due to that encounter." SJ

Possible 'Rake' Encounter in North Central Alabama

A group of friends are hiking on family property at night in north central Alabama, when they are alerted to a possible 'Rake' in the woods
The following account was recently forwarded to me:

"Two of my friends (who are a married couple), and I were walking on my family land. Its about 170 acres and heavily wooded with both pines and hardwoods, and heavily trailed. It was dark but my friends wanted me to take them out walking on the trails. A couple of neighbors dogs followed us (a Coonhound and a Great Pyrenees), and we walked south then east to my camping area.

We were hanging out at my camping spot when behind us, further back the trail we had come down, the dogs started acting strange. We were looking back, and they came out of the woods to our left and stood on the trail. The Great Pyrenees started growling real low, and looking defensive. The Coonhound is a goofball, but he was also acting disturbed about something. They were both looking back down the trail to the west. I immediately got quite a strange and serious feeling, it was a bit ominous. I've learned to trust my gut, which I recommend to anybody in the woods, or if around a person or animal that you feel instinctively is threatening.

Anyway, I said to my friends,"We better get back to the house." To get my point across I sort of grimly added "now." Well, we were heading west on the trail, and the dogs, if I remember correctly had vacated the area. While walking, I looked back and saw my one friend, the wife, looking into the woods off the trail and stagger back a few steps. Her husband had walked ahead and I asked her what was wrong. (By the way, this is the area where the dogs had previously been growling at). She said to me, I'll tell you when we get back, I don't want to scare him (her husband)." He's kind of easily spooked lol.

So, we get back and I asked what she saw. She tells us that she felt she needed to look off the trail, into the trees, and she saw something halfway behind a tree, looking at her (we all had headlamps on). She said it was human-like, pale/whiteish, with an oval kind of shaped head. Looked like it was crouching, with long limbs. She kept stressing how skinny it was, particularly the limbs. She said it had a surprised look on its face, like it didn't expect us to be there. Myself and friends/relatives use the trails regularly, but not at night. She said that the thing was bobbing back and forth in kind of a creepy way. It moved its head behind the tree and then swaying its head and shoulders back rythmically to look at her. She said it didn't appear to be aggressive at the moment, but looked scary. I pulled up the famous trail cam pic of the "Rake," or whatever it is, and she got a shocked look on her face and nodded "yes." However, she made clear that it wasn't exactly the same.

The next night, I was on the back porch, and heard a freaky, VERY shrill scream come from the woods. I don't know if the two were related, but I've lived in the country for most of my life, and I've never heard anything like it. This is one of multiple things that have happened around here, but this is the only one that I know of involving this creature. This is in north central Alabama." KB

Red Eyed 'Upright Wolf' Encountered in Hopkinsville, Kentucky

A military family is hounded by the presence of a terrifying red eyed upright canine in Hopkinsville, Kentucky

Hopkinsville, Kentucky: “Nadine Smith and her husband and their son, Shane, moved into a trailer park, as they waited for housing on the base. Nadine's husband was in the military and they moved around a lot.

One day, Nadine and Shane were out playing in the yard when they found a dead dog. They quickly determined that it was the neighbor's dog. Sadly, the neighbors weren't around, and so they ended up burying the pooch in the woods, near the tree-line. The next day, they went out to check on the grave and the animal was gone.

Soon after, Nadine began seeing a creature out by the tree-line. It had blood red eyes and stood, she guessed, 8 feet tall. It appeared to be a bipedal animal of some sort. She began seeing it quite frequently. Her husband assumed that she was exaggerating but two or three weeks later, he saw it too. He saw the red eyes and also heard it grunting and groaning. He went outside with a shotgun to confront it but the creature was gone.

Nadine decided to ask some neighbors around the trailer park if they ever saw anything weird around the area. Her neighbors seemed uninterested in speaking to her about it and a few shunned her entirely. As she walked around the park one day, she spotted, inside one of the abandoned and locked trailers, red eyes staring back at her from the window. Whatever it was, was inside the trailer. Around this time, Shane began having recurring nightmares and would wake in a panic. He claimed that a creature was looking at him in the window at night. They would attempt to calm him down by telling him that it was just a nightmare and nothing more.

One night, they ran into the room during one of these night terror instances and both Nadine and her husband saw the red eyed creature in the window, looking in. Nadine described that it had black / brown fur, was standing upright and had red eyes. She noted that, to her, it looked like an “upright walking wolf.” She decided to do some research and found out about skin-walkers and came to believe that the creature might be one. While her husband was away at work, Nadine, too scared to stay alone, asked a friend to stay over.

One night, during this time, they heard guttural growls coming from outside as well as noises. Both women looked out the door and observed the upright walking black wolf with red eyes looking back at them. Nadine noted that it appeared angry and bolted in their direction. They went inside. Just then, their 14 x 8 foot trailer began to shake violently. As they were preparing to call the police, everything stopped. They opened the door and the creature was now gone.

Nadine and her husband decided that it was probably best just to move and they packed their things and drove off. They were such a haste to get away from the area, that they ended up leaving some of their furniture behind. Nadine's husband claims that even on the last day, while packing the car, he could see the red eyes watching him from the tree-line.”

Large Winged Cryptids: Kansas, Florida, Wisconsin & Connecticut

Winged cryptid reports continue to filter in to me. Here are 4 brief accounts of unknown beings in Kansas, Florida, Wisconsin & Connecticut

"I happened to stumble on your article while looking for an explanation of a creature that I saw in Kansas last summer. It still bothers me so, I still look for an explanation. Here’s what happened.

I was walking my dogs with my aunt, probably around 11 pm-12 am. It was a clear and quiet night, with a lot of stars. As we were walking back to the camper, something with a 8-10 ft wingspan, thin, almost see thru wings, gliding just over the top of the power lines and over our heads. It was dark beyond the street light and could not see it after it glided over. It did not move its wings or make any noise when we saw it. The dogs were freaked out, as were we.

Following the sighting of this creature, an entire lot was full of feathers and bunny fur. Weird. This town is very isolated and goes to sleep by 9 pm. I don’t live here but my parents do. They’ve been on the lookout ever since, but never outside after dark. I feel like it’s nocturnal and may only be around when it’s warm and food is plentiful. I did see something like this when I was a kid too, but that’s been a long minute and tried to write it off as unexplained events in my life. There’s plenty of those events, gifts from growing up out here.

Anyway, I felt like if I told too many people out here, they would grab their guns and find it. I don’t want that. I just wanted to know WTH it was! Cool that there is some affirmation here. I glad to know we’re not the only ones to see it!" SD

“Me and my girlfriend saw two pterodactyls flying over Fort Lauderdale, FL in April 2019 late in the evening, at dusk. It was amazing to see how fast they could fly away. They reached Sunny Isles in no time. Their fly was a perfect flapping of their wings as as birds. It did not seem to be from a machine or anything mechanical.” VA

Iit was on the side of a house then swooped over to the next house (I was going to cross the alley but I was hiding behind a tree) then flew/glided down the alley. This was in Wausau, Wisconsin.” KG

"Weeks ago during one late night I was out in my backyard just sitting there and I happen to look in the tree and there were red eyes! I saw huge wings but it was not an owl. I saw this and I got up like I didn't see it and slowly walked into the house. I did not want to stand there and look at this thing. I wanted to get as far away as possible. This was in Waterbury, Connecticut." SH

'Mothman' Encounter Accounts: Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania & Georgia

4 distinct and interesting 'Mothman' encounter accounts from Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Georgia

I received the following email from a woman in Ohio who had concerns in reference to a sighting her and a girlfriend had six months prior to the report. She stated that she substituted their names for anonymity. 'Megan' affirms that all other details, the location, date and description of the incident are factual:

“Sir - my name is Megan. I am forwarding a summary of an experience that I and a friend had in August 2010. My friend and associate Kyra and I traveled from Columbus, Ohio to Ravenswood, West Virginia on business. While we were there, I wanted to make a side trip to Gallipolis, Ohio in order to visit relatives I had not seen for quite awhile.

After our meeting and presentation, we drove onto Ohio Rt. 7 and traveled south along the Ohio River towards Gallipolis. We had a nice, though brief, visit with my relatives. Around 6PM, we left their home and drove a few miles north on Rt. 7 to check-in to a hotel near the local airport.

Around 7:30PM, we decided to get dinner and found a quiet restaurant so we could eat and work. After we finished, Kyra needed to go to the store and pick up a few items that she forgot to pack. We headed to a Wal-Mart that was nearby the restaurant.

After we finished shopping, we were walking to the car when I noticed a woman running through the parking lot. When she reached her car, she looked back in the direction of the store then hurriedly got into the car. I quickly looked in the same direction and saw what looked like a large bird flying above the roof of the store. It was difficult to see but when it swooped downward the parking lot lights would shine off of it. It looked like it was either oily or had shiny leather-like skin. Whatever it was, it had a wide wing span. I would guess it reached 8-10 foot across. It circled above the store for about a minute then just disappeared.

We were both somewhat shocked at what we witnessed but figured that it was just a huge bird. Since it was dark, I figured we had misjudged what it really was.

We drove back to the hotel and decided to call it a night so we could get an early start on the drive home in the morning. I got ready for bed but thought I’d watch some television first. By this time it was around 10PM or so.

I must have dozed off fairly quickly because the next thing I remember is frantic knocking on my door. I stumbled out of bed and checked who it was. It was Kyra and she was obviously upset. She rushed into my room and said “it’s here!” “What are you talking about?”- a little bit perturbed that she woke me up. She said that she was laying on the bed reading when she heard something in the hallway. She got out of bed, walked to the door and listened to what she thought was ‘scratching’ sounds. After a few minutes the sounds stopped, so she went back to bed. Not long after she lay down she heard more scratching sounds but, from outside her window. Again she got up and peeked through the curtains. This time, something looked back at her.

Our rooms were on the second floor in the back section of the hotel and both looked out onto a small parking lot and a large field beyond that. She could see, what she described as, a ‘bald ugly man with wings’ who was looking directly at her with 'large bulging eyes that lit up bright red.' It was there for only a few seconds. It then spread it’s wings while running at the same time towards the end of the parking lot and lifted off the ground like a bird.

“You’re kidding, right?” I muttered to her. “Meg, I swear to God - that thing is out there and it knows we saw it!” I knew the only way I was going to get some sleep was to allow Kyra to stay in my room. The next morning we woke early, checked out and drove back to Columbus.

Kyra didn’t mention the incident from the previous night during the ride. In fact, she has still never said anything else about it. We continue to be good friends and have a very good working relationship.

But - I got curious. I had never heard about the Mothman or any of the tales associated with it. I grew up in Texas and had only lived in Ohio for a few years. I moved into my Mom’s house after she had passed away. Her relatives lived throughout Ohio but I had never been told any of the stories.

This is the reason I am writing to you. We were near Point Pleasant, WV when we had this encounter. Do you think that it is possible that this was a Mothman? I read some of your posts recently and I’m starting to believe that Kyra actually saw something supernatural.

In light of the prophecies of danger that this thing is suppose to warn people about, Kyra has had some bad luck and tragedy since that day. Her husband suddenly left her, she had a fire in her house and she severely injured her leg in a fall. Could this be connected?

I personally don’t believe in predictions, either good or bad. But I will admit that these have been strange times since we witnessed ‘whatever.’”

Mertztown is in Longswamp Township in eastern Berks County, Pennsylvania. The witness wrote me after reading one of my previous reports:

“Good morning, as I sit reading this article, it amazes me that no one caught one of these things yet. I understand that if something with a 25-30 ft wingspan flies past you, you're not going to grab your camera as a first instinct.

My son and I saw this monster thing last summer in Mertztown, PA. We were parked on the side of the road in a heavily wooded area when this thing casually glided up the road. It looked big enough to carry a full grown man away with no effort. When the wing flew over the hood of my car, we instantly ducked down. This thing had a round human sized head with no beak (hence the term man-bird), and huge bat-like wings. Now I would never tell this story if it wasn't for my 16-yr-old son sitting in the backseat who also witnessed it on that summer day. I'm a pretty capable guy, not too many things can shake me, but this thing scared the hell out of me. Here is what I saw:

The body was 5-6 ft in length easy, wingspan was 25-30 ft easy, no feathers, bat like skin, jet black, and a 4-5 ft skinny (rat or dragon) like tail that stuck straight out. This thing didn't fly like a bird, it glided about 10 ft off the ground at a VERY slow speed. After 50-75 ft of gliding, it took one huge flap of the wings, never changing elevation, and glided up the road till it disappeared into the woods. I'm convinced this thing lives underground, probably near some sort of hot spring because it has no feathers.

Well that's my story. Feel free to reply with any questions, that 45 second event will forever be etched into memory. I say we find it and catch it, I would love to see it again up close.”

In December 2011 I received an email from a woman, who I will refer to as 'EW,' from north Georgia who thought she had encountered a Mothman. After many months of correspondence, the witness has agreed to allow me to post the event but only under strict circumstances. She has reviewed this post and has agreed to the following content being published:

“Hello - I am hoping you can shed some light on an incident I had a few years ago. I was twenty-five at the time and was driving to my friend CW's house. It was quiet at 11:30 pm as I drove south on an old country road off of (redacted) highway near (redacted) in north Georgia. Very few people pass this way because it leads to nothing but a small group of houses. I turned on the radio but nothing came on. I figured it was a blown fuse but then I started to hear weird scratching sounds coming through the speakers. It sounded like a distant voice but I couldn't understand what it was saying.

Suddenly, something flew in front of the car and hit the windshield with enough size and force that it totally mangled the grill and hood. I immediately stopped the car. I heard what sounded like wings flapping on the roof, but then something rolled down the back window onto the trunk then eventually on to the road. I thought I killed whatever it was. A woman in a truck had pulled up from behind and said she saw the thing hit the road. She said that it's eyes were glaring bright red. As we looked more closely at this thing it resembled a man with large bat-like wings. The woman walked back to her truck and pulled a shotgun from the back and pointed it at this bat-like creature.

It was starting to move and we backed off. It slowly stood up on two large raptor-like claws, turned and stared directly at us with those terrible bright red eyes. The woman pumped the shotgun. It slowly levitated off the ground with wings spread until it was about 10 foot up then instantly, it let out a deafening screech as it just disappeared with a loud 'swoosh'. The woman (who I found out later was CW's aunt) and I just looked at each other.

This thing had the body of a well-built man. It had no feathers but charcoal gray skin like that of a bat with some hair on the shoulders and around the eyes and legs. When it spread its wings, it had the span of 12 foot or more. I estimate it was about 8 foot tall. It had no head however, just the eyes embedded on the shoulders that had brows. I didn't notice a mouth or nose. There is no way I was going to report this and CW's aunt totally agreed. We both drove off to CW's house. I was so shook up I stayed the night.

The next morning, I went outside to inspect the car. There was a huge crack in the windshield and the grill was mangled beyond repair. The hood also had a deep 25 inch dent. I started to walk back to the house when I noticed something lying in the grass beside the garage. It was CW's Golden Retriever lying dead from massive lacerations up and down its back. I just knew that thing did it.

That was 3 years ago and I constantly dream of this creature. I was told by a friend that I had encountered a Mothman. It looked more like a Batman to be honest. I decided to look up a few of the sightings by others and saw your name and blog. Many of the images on Google were very similar to what I saw. I wrote to someone else about a year ago but they never got back to me. I have included 2 of the images I think look the most like the creature I hit with my car that night. Could you contact me at this email? Thank you for your time. EW

NOTE: I contacted EW and tried to answer her questions. I have no doubt she witnessed a winged humanoid and most likely a Mothman. She agreed to let me post the incident provided I leave out several of the more personal points from the original email. I will say that EW has experienced many of the same anomalous events claimed by a few of the original Point Pleasant, WV witnesses, including some I discovered myself through research and witness interviews. 'Dragons' Observed Flying Over Central Florida

A Florida witness observes a large group of flying 'dragons' that is eventually gathered aboard a craft / UFO

"I saw something...amazing flying beings. It happened about six years ago when I was staying with some friends in a small town, about 30 miles north of Orlando, Florida. It was in July and every night I'd go outside to check out the night sky. It was about 9 pm and I had gone out to do my nightly thing, but when I looked up at the moon, which was almost directly overhead, I actually looked away to rub my eyes because I couldn't believe what I saw! But when I looked back, it was still there and no illusion. There, flying around the moon, in a clockwise direction, from my point of view, were these enormous beings, which looked like flying dragons! By the very slow swoop of their bat-like wings, I could tell they were truly huge. There were dozens on them, but when I looked up higher, there were tiers and tiers of them, all circling in the same direction, and there must have been over a hundred of them! They were all black, being silhouetted by the moon above them, so I could see no colors or details. They were Reptilians. I estimate the lowest ones were about 500 feet up, but it's hard to know for sure.

It was a really frightening sight and I wondered if they could see me standing down there on the dark driveway. Not a very comforting thought! I wanted to run to get my friends, to witness what I was seeing, but was afraid of what I might miss. Just then, I noticed an enormous craft, slowly approaching from the right of where the beings flew. It was around a dozen times the width of the moon and blacker than black, and the classic saucer shape, but there was no dome, or any lights or windows. But I noticed something I'd never heard mentioned before, and that was there was this eerie, black, wispy, curling mist, all along the edge of the ship, which I thought it must be some type of cloaking device. The ship was totally silent as it slowly approached where the creatures flew, never speeding up, or slowing down, or stopping.

Finally it engulfed the entire area where the dragons flew, and when it inched away, the night sky was again empty, save for the cold stars and the gibbous moon. I directly went inside and told my friends what I'd just seen. Being the skeptics they are, they said I'd probably only seen bats or birds, but I know what I witnessed and it was something I'd never before seen, and hope to never see again.

I do have an idea of what had happened, only a guess. You know how when people are out boating, they will sometimes jump into the water for a refreshing swim? Well, maybe those Reptilians left their craft to stretch those terrible wings, and were just circling there, waiting for their ship to catch up with them, to get back on board. That's only a guess, and who knows what evil mischief they had really been up to?

For days and days after that experience I worried they might return to do some harm to me for spying on them, but thankfully, if they saw me, I wasn't considered a threat. This is a true experience, and one that is enough to last a lifetime!" KL

Large Black 'Fallen Angel' Encountered in North Georgia

The witness has an encounter in north Georgia with a large black winged being that he describes as a 'fallen angel'...a true demon

Bruce in Georgia called to tell of his winged creature sighting in 2018:

“Let me get to the point, I've seen one of these creatures actually while driving down Interstate 75 in Georgia. This was an incident that happened about two years ago. I was about a half hour south of Chattanooga driving back towards Atlanta.

It was about 1:00 o'clock in the morning and driving down the interstate. All of a sudden I look about a quarter mile down the road and I noticed that there was one of those green DOT signs. Suddenly it just went black. I thought, that's kinda strange. I didn't really understand what was happening there. It looked almost like a giant cloak had fallen on it - like the sign was invisible, almost like it absorbed all the light, only it was kind of a reflective. I think this was the creature actually it was just kinda hovering.

What happened was, it made a beeline straight down the side of the road and when it came to my car, it made about a 90 degree turn. It was low to the ground, the 90 degree turn, then it cut right in front of my vehicle. It was about 5 feet in front of my car when I was going about 70 miles an hour down the road and it was running real low and it cut across and I thought it was gonna hit me and when it went over in the median then it made another 90 degree turn and then it shot straight up in the air and it disappeared.

That was my story. When I looked at it, my first thought was that it might be some kind of pterodactyl or something like that but my wife was with me and I asked her and she said that it had little legs – that thing had little legs and if I had to guess, I'd say it was probably a 6 to 8 foot long length. It had little legs and the wingspan had to be huge because it originally covered up that DOT sign which, I mean, it's 15 to 20 foot wide and it completely blacked it out and it was something. And I never got a chance to see its face. I couldn’t see the eyes, nothing like that. All I could see when it cut in front of me was, it was too close and too high, I saw the underside, the underbelly of it. I saw the legs but I never got a good look at them but, basically, the skin was like, it was almost like it absorbed light. It was that dark.”

"The incident happened a couple years ago while traveling back to Atlanta. It occurred on I75, about 30 minutes south of Chattanooga, TN. It was 1:00 am, driving 70 mph when I noticed a DOT exit sign, maybe a 1/2 mile or so down the road, go completely black. (as if the a giant cloak was draped over it) This creature made a B-line down the berm and directly towards my car. It made a 90 degree right turn and cut right across my car. I thought it was going to hit me. It flew about 5' in front of me at the roof-line level. It cut across to the median and made another right turn going straight up vertically and then out of sight. My first thought was a pterodactyl, but the wife said that it had human legs. I was able to see the underside of this creature but never got a good look at its face. I know many Mothman sightings claim those beasts have burning red eyes, but if this creature had red eyes, I would have noticed something when it was hovering in front of the DOT sign. The skin was black...and appeared to absorb light. This creature had to be between 6' - 8' tall with a wingspan that had to be 15'-20' wide. I feel Ephesians 6:12 best describes this creature...I feel it was a fallen angel. A true demon, as described in the Bible is a disembodied spirit.

Georgia doesn't get talked about as much as other hot spots for paranormal/demonic/spiritual creatures, but I have had a few incidents on the interstates of Georgia. I saw a UFO while driving on I16 heading west coming into Macon, GA. It was a silver metallic ball just floating in the air. Made no noise. It floated into a cloud and just disappeared. Then literally in 60 seconds 3 fighter jets, I believe F16s, come into view and fly right through the very cloud where the UFO disappeared. They were obviously scrambled to intercept this UFO. Those 3 fighter jets criss-crossed the skies in a checkerboard pattern of contrails searching for this UFO. I believe this UFO was interdimensional, because it disappeared in a wink of an eye. And once again I was driving with my wife down the interstate.

"Hello, from New Braunfels,Texas. My fiancé and I were watching the stars last night and saw a translucent manta ray looking creature in the sky! It was literally swimming gracefully in the sky! We watched it slowly swim from on side of the sky to the other. It was cloaked like we could see it but it was clear! Made no sound, and looked to be as far as a plane but bigger than one! “I was fishing the river the other night (in 2017). It runs through town. Sitting on the east side looking west. There is a 3 story parking structure. The area is lit up with lights. When I noticed, the light was being blocked out by what looked like the outline of a blimp, about half the size of the parking structure 30 feet above. Then it looked like an oval shape, like it turned sideways. It had a cloaking device what I would compare to in the movie 'Predator'. No sound... moving slowly. I started screaming at this guy who fell asleep fishing. I mean, I was flipping out. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. My mind just didn't want to compute. The guy sleeping, of course, thinks I'm some nutcase.When I started screaming, the UFO stopped and went west. It went from 12 to 1 o'clock. The background was black. It looked like Darth Vader's helmet as it faded into the darkness. I had to be going nuts. I emailed the local PD. My heading Drone or UFO? They responded, stating, no drones in the sky that night. So I now believe in UFOs. I guess I better start believing in God, ghosts, and the Easter bunny. This sighting has changed my life forever. I wish I never seen the thing.” MW

Chased and Stalked by 'Rake' Humanoids

2 frightening Rake encounter reports in Mississippi and Florida. One chased 3 young people and the other seems to be following the witness

I live in a very rural town in Mississippi where majority of everything is forests or farms. My home happens very deep in the woodland area, it’s almost like something out of a horror movie. The ole “creepy old house in the middle of the woods?” Yep, that’s my place.

Back when I first moved here, everything was normal. It was a quiet, peaceful house in the woods, the closest neighbors being 10 minutes or so down the road. Nothing out of the ordinary or weird. Until, one night.

I was driving home from work, it being nearly midnight so it was almost pitch black. I was tiredly driving, ready to finally get home to sleep. I had let out a hardy yawn, closing my eyes for a split second, but that was all it took for me to almost hit something. Not even 10 feet in front of me sat this hairless man-dog looking creature, the thing bloody and pale, hovering over the mutilated corpse of some animal. I hope it was an animal at the very least. The thing slowly looked up at me, staring me directly in the face with its beady, neon green eyes, the shining due to my head lights reflecting off them. It’s jaw looked almost unhinged, flaunting its many, many blood covered teeth.

I was frozen with fear. WTF was that thing? I honked my horn, trying to scare it off, but it doesn’t budge. It simply sat there. After what feels like a 30 minute staring contest, though it couldn’t of been more than 2 minutes, the thing scurried away, walking on all fours. I watched it disappear into the thick mass of trees that matched the rest of the forest. My eyes shifted back and forth from the forest to the carcass. I rubbed my hands over my eyes before continuing to drive. I still had a few minutes to my house so I didn’t worry about that thing appearing in my yard.

I haven’t seen it plainly in front of me since, (that was about 8 months ago) but I constantly feel as if I’m being watched or followed. I did my own research, apparently this thing is called the Rake? It’s taken a liking to me, which scares me sh*tless. I’m constantly seeing it from a distance out of the corner of my eyes, sometimes I see it for seconds at a time before it disappears into the woods again.

I know it watches me when I sleep. I had setup a camera, waiting for the unfortunate day where I wake up and see it. That’ll be the day when it finally strikes. BC

"This happened in 2018 while my boyfriend at the time, myself and a friend were walking round near the river in our town. We live in a small town in Florida right on the St.Johns River. So unless you're into fishing, there's not much to do. It was getting late, around 10 pm when we decided to go check out this abandoned furniture factory a few streets over. When we got there, we checked the doors in the front to see if they were unlocked by any chance (they were locked of course). We walked to the side of it where it had been partially demolished a few years ago. The lower part of the walls that had been there was still standing making a fence like barrier we'd have to climb over. I leaned over the wall to see if we'd be able to walk through there, but there was too much rubble and weeds in the way. We decided to leave and head back to our cars.

I was halfway to the sidewalk when from the weed-filled area came a deep growly 'Hey.' I stopped and looked behind me as I felt the color drained from my face. As I watched, I saw some of the weeds move. That's when I ran leaving behind my boyfriend and friend. We ran almost two blocks before we stopped and started walking through the neighborhoods back to the cars. The entire way back, we heard something climbing across roofs, had rocks flung at us from tops of trees, and a pale figure run quickly past us. The entire time this was happening I had a strong feeling of dread.

We got back to our cars safely, but stood there for a few minutes trying to calm down some before we drove. It was all calm for a minute before we heard the creature climb up on to the roof of a converted bank. It paced back and forth just out of the reach of the light, throwing things at us and into a tree a few times. It was so scary being followed like that through an area I use to feel so safe in.

I did some research when I got home and the growl, the paleness, and the speed at which it ran matches the description I found in Rake encounters. I think it only followed us and threw things because there was three of us there staying close together. Hopefully I won't encounter it again, at least not alone." AS

“Baltimore, Maryland, 13 years ago, full moon, 10:30 at night. Sitting out back on the steps of a townhouse watching the sky. Next thing you know, I see something go behind me over the townhouse. Four foot wings on each side, like leather. Six foot body. Small head. I think maybe the way you said of pterodactyl might have described it real well. Going straight up, no flapping, looped and then its head went to the west and I was on the left, and I got up and followed this thing through the yard. It was like 30 seconds and I could see it and it was like a brownish color. And I was praying, please do not look at me. I could just feel that. Don't look at me. But this was 13 years ago. I get goosebumps just listening to this, when you guys are talking about it. I never ever ever thought I would talk about it again. I've told people about it. I even told my boss the next day and all, the guys, and they said, 'Oh, it's a bird.' This was no bird. It's exactly what you guys are talking about.”
