Music Monday! Who Wants To Go To Brazil?

In the last 12 months 17 year old Declan McKenna has gone from complete unknown to reaching the #1 slot in the alternative rock rankings in the United States. Last April Declan entered and won the Glastonbury’s Festivals Emerging Talent Competition and in doing so was immediately sought after by nearly every record label of note. Last just five months ago he self released this song. At first I didn’t think it was my cup of tea, but since it has grown on me to the point that I want to share it...

Happy 11th Birthday to The Oldest Blog in the World!

birthday

To be honest, I don’t know if I have the oldest blog in the world, but until someone else can prove that theirs has been around longer, I’m going to assume it’s me. I’m not usually a pat me on the back, “look at me, look at me” kind of person, but c’mon, it’s my blogs 11th birthday! Indulge me a little. I think 11 blog years is like 110 in people years.

Some who have doubted my claim as the longest running blog in the world have asked me, “If your blog has been running for 11 years, why don’...

An April Fool’s Memory

cropped-stalkers-banner.jpg

No, I’m not going to tell some outlandish story and end with April Fools! I’m am often a joker throughout the year. I know, shocker right? My April Fools joke is that I don’t pull any pranks on the day when all the amateurs are out trying to be funny.

The reason I posted that picture of the Stalkers cover above is that April Fool’s Day always reminds me of it because in March 2006 on my blog in the two weeks leading up to April Fool’s Day I wrote a series of posts as if I was responding to a...

TBT! Hindi Sexting is Back!

Truth be told, Hindi sexting has never left my blog since a year ago. The post that follows this introduction was written a year ago and not a day has gone by without at least several views of the post through searches. In fact, there are often days where this post is read more times than new original posts. Sadly though the horny Hindi’s don’t leave me any likes or comments.

Real Sexting Conversations To Read in Hindi

4-300x300

@LADaddy:It’s not fair. Straight girls can flirt with other girls. I lick one guy’s ear and suddenly I’m uninvited to the fantasy baseball draft.

@AGreaterMonster:I might not be performing the stripper routine this funeral wants…but it’s the one it needs.

@Alex_N_Chains: The ironic thing about the original Scooby Doo adventures was...

When Millenials Rule the World

Please read this hilarious poem by the brilliant Marissa Bergen, whom I consider the Shel Silverstein for a new generation, maybe the Millenial generation. Thanks for the shout out Marissa!

Glorious Results Of A Misspent Youth

Somewhere in Iraq, March 28, 2035 9:56 AM PST

The head of ISIL is discovered
On the button his hand hovers
Advisors ask him “Are you sure?”
As sweat comes out of every pore
He says “The weak make second guesses”
And so fateful, down he presses
With nothing left he must...

Music Monday! Bear Hands 2AM

Bear Hands

Remember when one of your parents, worried about you being out late, said to you “Nothing good happens after…”? Some parents said midnight, others cited 2 a.m. We might have listened had our parents sounded as cool as the Brooklyn bandBear Hands do singing it. This song isn’t about youth though. It’s about getting older. It’s about that point in life when you’re weighing if “going out” is worth the effort or if you should just stay home and Netflix and chill. Over the past few weeks the chor...

New Eyes: Author Interview with Steve Treu!

29342175

New Eyes is a new book by first time author Steve Treu. I know I don’t usually get into any deep thoughts here at #ThePhilFactor, but Steve’s got some really interesting ideas that may open some eyes. Let’s get right to it!

TPF: In a nutshell, what makes your book, New Eyes, and your theory different from all theother self-help books people have to choose from?

Steve: Jesus, Muhammad, Krishna, Buddha and Albert Einstein all walk into a bar for a discussion. They walk out together as friends....

Hey Millenials! WTF Are You Gonna Do?

corbanone.com

corbanone.com

I am so sick of hearing the word “Millenial” to describe this vaguely defined generation of people who are apparently up next to run the world after all the crazy old people like Trump and Hillary are gone. There were “Baby Boomers” then there was “Generation X” and now The Millenials.

According to Wikipedia: “Millennials (also known as the Millennial Generation[1] or Generation Y) are the demographic cohort following Generation X. There are no precise dates for when the generat...

TBT! How You Say Goodbye May Say A Lot About You!

Don’t wanna be a fool for you
Just another player in your game for two
You may hate me but it ain’t no lie,
Baby Bye, bye, bye…
Bye Bye ~N’SYNC, Bye, Bye, Bye

Some people are good at good byes and others…not so much. Adios, auf widersehen, good-bye, sayonara, bye, cheerio, buh bye, ciao, and bye bye are all ways to break company with someone. I was going to open this post with song lyrics about good byes from Train, but I couldn’t resist. It’s as if N’SYNC wrote that song just for me. Actuall...
