These past couple of months have been some of the hardest, but most reflective times of my life as a writer. I’ve struggled so much with the notion that it was “bad” for me not to be writing. It wasn’t until a recent session with my therapist that I started to see (and believe) that it wasn’t “bad”, but perhaps a good thing for me. I need to be gentle with myself and not hold myself to these imagined expectations. I also need to stop assigning judgments to them. It has been very tough, but also rewarding. The process of being gentle has allowed me time to not only decompress, but I think it is helping me reflect on what I’ve accomplished and what I want to do next. I’m not back to writing yet, but ideas are percolating. The most important thing though is that it is okay. It will happen and when it does, I will be ready for it.

As I turn 42 today, I thought it might be fun to share 42 little fun facts about me. Enjoy!
1. I am a huge Wonder Woman fan. I collect anything with her on it.
2. I detest Mayo and Ranch Dressing. Ick!!
3. I played the drums in high school. I also learned to play clarinet - not very well.
4. My favorite color is Orange.
5. My favorite TV show of all time is Dynasty. Emma Samms as Fallon was my favorite character. Of course Joan Collin’s Alexis is a very close second.
6. Huge Madonna fan. I’ve seen her live 4 times. Favorite song is Vogue.
7. My best friend and I have known each other since we were 5 years old.
8. My favorite book is Interview With The Vampire. Though I love Lestat, Louis is my favorite character. Hence where my pen name came from.
9. I am fascinated by the holocaust and read about it a lot. I am still amazed such horrors actually took place.
10. I’ve read the Diary of Anne Frank probably 12 times or more.
11. I have only been drunk once in my life.
12. I can honestly say I love my job.
13. I am a trekkie. Counselor Deanna Troi is my favorite character.
14. I am a gamer - we have a Wii, WiiU, PS3, 3DS, and an Xbox.
15. Mario games are my favorite. Lego games are a very close second.
16. I am left handed - but have never been able to use left handed scissors.
17. I have one tattoo - my mom’s signature on my left wrist.
18. My ear has been pierced twice
19. I rolled and totaled my first car while driving home from a cematary.
20. I love egg nog
21. I’ve watched all 1200 plus episodes of the original Dark Shadows TV show. (It took us about 2-3 years - but we did it).
22. I hate most musicals.
23. I love old raidio shows - especially Jack Benny and Burns and Allen
24. My first job was at Little Caesar’s Family Fun Pizzeria
25. I’ve dyed my hair blond, red, orange, brown, and unintentionally green
26. I didn’t wear glasses till I was 23
27. My favorite Christmas special is The Year Without a Santa Claus
28. I wore braces in junior high
29. My school mascot was Abe Lincoln - Yes - the 16th president
30. I have never broken a bone (except for maybe a toe)
31. I can’t stand Whitney Houston or Maria Carey
32. Cookies are my weakness - though don’t put nuts in them
33. I am horrible at doing math in my head
34. I’ve battled depression most of my life
35. I hate clowns - no it is not from watching “It” - never seen it. They are just creepy.
36. My dream vacation is to one day go to Amsterdam and visit the Anne Frank house.
37. Being a BOP (Business of People) trainer for CML is one of my most proudest achievements.

40. I once drove from from FL to Mi in 18 hours straight
