Happy dance
I am so happy - I’ve sold 35 copies of my book! 10 in print and 25 in ePub. That is just amazing to me! The feelings of joy are just overwhelming right now. My dream has truly come true.

The magic continues
In the past two days I’ve received two amazing messages from readers sharing how my novel has touched them. I think what makes it even more meaningful is that both of these people learned of my book through my friends. I am so touched and honored. I feel like I could burst into tears of happiness. :-)

The past couple of days have been so surreal - I feel like I am walking around in this constant state of excitement and joy. I can still hardly believe that my novel is selling on Amazon or that when you do an author search there it is! How freakin’ awesome is that!!!

It is official!!!
At 8:55 pm on August 13, 2012 I received the email that my novel is officially for sale on Amazon for the Kindle!!!!!

Time flies
I submitted my manuscript yesterday and was told it could take 48 hours for my proof to be ready. Imagine my shock when I checked email this morning and there was already a response saying it was ready. WOW! I purposely didn’t open it since I knew I wouldn’t have time before work. Of course once my lunch hour arrived I couldn’t resist and spent the entire time finishing it up and approving the proof. I also submitted it to be sold for Kindle as well. The actual book may take a couple of days before it is ready, but by end of today the Kindle version could be ready. Again - WOW! I am so freaking excited I can’t even believe it. I am about to be a published author! My dream is coming true!

My new website officially launched today. Just a few more tweaks and I’ll be submitting my manuscript to CreateSpace and will be selling my novel before I know it.

Progress updates
I’m making good progress on submitting my materials to CreateSpace and hope to have it all completed this week. I want to change a few fonts really quick and add a new photo, but otherwise I am almost done. If all goes well by this time next week my novel will be available for people to purchase. I can hardly contain myself.
One of the things I have to do now is create an author website. Of course I’ll be linking this blog to it, since without this blog I don’t believe I would be as ready as I am today.
While things are progressing with my novel my aunt has also suggested a side project for me and it really has me thinking about how I can go about doing it. It would be a non-fiction project and would require me to spend some time emailing and talking with family. It would be a lot of fun but at the same time could be very time consuming. I’m going to play around with some ideas and see what happens. I am not sure how I would publish it just yet, but definitely something to thinking about.
