Proud
I am so proud today to know that President Obama has been re-elected. As a gay man, it means the world to me that our President believes that my “husband” and I should have the same rights and privileges as everyone else. I means so much to know that my struggles and issues are not being brushed aside because of outdated and/or religious beliefs. Hope for the future has again been restored.

Time to get back into the swing of things
Now that I’m back from our 8 day Disney Parks vacation, I’m itching to get back into my writing. I’ve been thinking a lot about my parallel story and think I may have found a new angle to add to it. I know that I should be spending more time editing my other novel, but the pull to this story is really strong right now and I think that needs to be where I put my energy.
I also need to do some updating on the website. It has been a while since I’ve added anything new and really want to work on adding a new page about the history of Half A Life. I hunted down some of my old papers and was able to find some of my original story ideas, but still can’t find my old character descriptions. Hopefully those will turn up soon.

I am a very lucky man
Today at work, my colleagues are throwing me a book release party complete with lots of pumpkin flavored treats. I feel so incredibly fortunate to have made such wonderful connections with my coworkers. I feel so incredibly honored.

I work with some awesome people!
This morning I was attending one of my Business of People training sessions and one of my fellow trainers (who I’ve worked with numerous times over the years) handed me a copy of my book to sign for them. This totally made my day! I’ve always felt very inspired by this person and have sought them out many times to talk. I felt so honored.
What a great way to start the day!
