Come Meet Jess Cooper - Smokey Eyes!

Character Interview with Jess Cooper (Smokey Eyes).

___________________

Describe yourself: height/weight/build/hair and eye color/species.

I’m average height, and build. Although if you ask Bubbles my boobs are bigger than hers. Brown hair and green eyes, which I have been told are my best feature.

___________________

What are your likes?

Likes, that’s easy. Guns, and various spyware. However, now it seems to be Liam and Preston, oh and Thompson. Can’t forget the furry ones. *giggles*

___________________

What are your dislikes?

Assholes who try to kill me or the ones I care about, Duh. Seriously is there anything else that would be worse? Oh and socks… Those things are just annoying and bug the hell out of me!

___________________

Can you tell us something about yourself?

Well, I don’t like long walks on the beach holding hands. Hehehe, okay really, I am simple. I stay at home, kick serious ass when needed, oh and I LOVE ice cream and pizza. I don’t party like normal people my age, and let's see, oh I have two amazing boyfriends, who drive me nuts.

___________________

What are your hobbies? How do you spend your free time?

I go to the range a lot. Yes it is really called that. The shooting rang has been a second home, well besides the girls houses. Free time, do I really need to answer that again. I am noticing a pattern here. Are you trying to find something better to do than being stuck talking to little old me? HA HA, sucks to be you! hehehe

___________________

Who is your ideal mate?

Mate? What the hell do I look like a dog to you? Yes, I might be a bitch some times, okay fine most of the time, but really. If you mean man in my life it would be plural. I have two. They remind me of sweet and sour chicken. A little bit of both worlds and great when mixed together!

___________________

Sorry these next questions might be a bit personal. But the readers (and me) really want to know.

What was your first sexual experience like?

Umm, well let’s just say it doesn’t count if you can’t feel it. But I have made up for that since.

___________________

What is your favorite sexual position?

Being tied up and hung in my closet. Not going to go into more details. Use your imagination and then some! But let’s just say it is something I often request.

___________________

What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?

Oh god, one that I could think of was when I first met Preston and Liam. I tried to trick them and it back fired and I looked like a total goober.

___________________

Do you have a message for the readers?

Yeah I do, read my book… It’s better than Bubbles.. Shhh don’t tell her I said that. She would totally shave my head and eyebrows.

KD Jones Two Year Publishing Anniversary!!!

Two Years ago I was going through a nasty separation and child custody battle.  I had suffered through a 10 year bad marriage where I was told that I couldn't do anything right.  Coming out of that with low self-esteem I struggled to find who I was.  I wanted my son to see his Mom succeed at something.

I had always dreamed of writing, even started a dozen stories over the years but I never had the confidence to finish them.  Then two years ago I challenged myself.  I told myself to finish one story, to write it from beginning to end.  So I did.

I had wanted to read a great alien romance.  But there weren't that many out at the time that appealed to me.  So I wrote one for myself.   I didn't expect to publish it.  I wasn't even sure I would finish writing it.  But I did finish it.  And I loved it so much I shared it with a few of my dear friends. They insisted that I get it published.  So I submitted it to like 10 or 15 publishing houses that all turned me down.  So I decided to self-publish.  It had been the best decision I had ever made.

Now, two years later I have published 18 books.  The stories just flowed out of me.  I finally realized what I was born to do.  Even better, other people loved my books too.

This month is the 2 year publishing anniversary.  Here is how it all began.

Introducing Shyria!!

Author Jessica Anderson stopped by to promote her new book Shyria (Book 3 in The Rise of the Royal Elven).

 __________________________________________

Blurb

Warning: For Mature Adult Audiences.  Contains language and actions some may deem
offensive.  MF.

In book three of the Rise of the Royal Elven:  Shyria had spent most of her life in hiding,
since before she could remember.  When
the woman who raised her passes away, her whole world changes.  With the truth of her upbringing being told
from a dying woman's memory, she embarks on a journey to take back to where it
all began.

Faeron lived a complicated yet somehow simple life, until he
found a woman in the woods left for dead.
Being a kind man, he helps her and saves her life.  When he finds out who she really is, he is
filled with hope and joins in her quest.

A kingdom in despair hope is renewed when their lost queen
surfaces to fight for her rightful place.
However, will the cost of taking the throne back be more than she is
willing to give?

 __________________________________________

Excerpt

Shyria woke to a dark room. She let her eyes
adjust and started looking around as she lay perfectly still. She tried to sit
up but a sharp pain shot through her stomach, halting the act. She felt for her
mask, making sure it was still covering her face.

“Oh, you’re awake,” a woman said as she walked
into the room smiling.

She had pure white hair and bright blue eyes.
Tears started to form in Shyria’s eyes as she realized she looked like
Marrialli, exactly like her, except maybe a little bit younger.

“My son has been so worried about you,” she said
as she checked Shyria’s bandages. “He’ll be glad to hear you have finally
awoken.”

“Where am I?” Shyria asked, still dazed from the
blow to her head.

“Oh I am sorry, dear,” the woman said. “Don’t
worry, we are in the mountains. My name is Neinna,” she added. “You’ll be safe
here with us.”

“Thank you, Neinna,” Shyria replied.

“Do you have a name?” Neinna questioned.

“Yes, but I’m sorry I can’t tell you,” Shyria
answered regrettably.

“That’s fine, dear. I will send my son in when
he gets back,” she returned and left the room.

Moments later a man walked through the bedroom
door. He stood fairly tall, at least a half a foot taller than Shyria, he had
long black hair pulled back into a braid. He was muscular, and he had a kind
face, he looked young, about Shyria’s age, but his eyes shined purple, such a
bright beautiful, alluring color of purple. His eyes were the same color as the
lilacs she and Marrialli grew all the time.

“How are you feeling?” he asked.

Shyria’s eyes darted away from him then. She
knew that voice, it was the voice that saved her in the woods. Her breath grew
heavy in her chest as the memories started to come back to her.

“Are you alright?” he questioned as he walked
over to her quickly and put his hand on hers.

She glanced down at his hand then back up to his
eyes. “Yes, thank you. You saved me.”

“I was glad to but I’m not sure if I showed up
in time to save all of you,” he returned.

“You did, they hadn’t gotten to, well… You
know,” she started, unsure how to finish that sentence, then realized he could
probably guess.

“That makes me feel a lot better,” he said,
smiling attractively. “Why were you out there alone, everyone knows that
Eloana’s men are killing every red-haired elven woman they come across?”

“I was looking for someone,” she answered. “I know
it was foolish.”

“It was very foolish, but who were you looking
for?” Faeron asked.

“I can’t remember,” she answered as she glanced
down at the ground.

“You got hit over the head pretty hard,
temporary memory loss can be expected,” he answered. “Do you remember your
name?”

“Yes, but I can’t tell you,” she answered. “You
cannot know anything about me. It could put both of us in danger.”

“Faeron!” Neinna hollered from another room.

“Your name is Faeron?” Shyria asked.

“Yes,” he answered, smiling.

“That’s a nice name,” she said, returning his
smile.

“Thank you,” he said chuckling a bit at the hurt
woman who seemed way too polite.

“Faeron!” Neinna hollered again.

“I’ll be back in a minute,” Faeron said as he
left the room quickly.

Faeron came back in a few minutes later with a
couple of cups, a pitcher, some bread, a couple of bowls with spoons, and a
smaller cup all packed onto a tray. “Would you like some company for dinner?”
he asked as he sat the tray down on the stand that was next to the bed Shyria
was laying on.

“That would be nice,” she answered with a smile
as she tried to sit up. Faeron helped her when he saw that she was struggling.

He pulled a chair over by the bed and split the
bread in half, then he handed her a bowl of food. She took a bite quickly, then
scarfed down the food although Faeron still finished eating before she had. It
reminded her of the food Marrialli cooked.

Lori King's New Release and Kindle Giveaway!

Why Ménage? Insight from Author Lori King about her newest book, Primal Surrender + a Kindle Paperwhite Giveaway!

More than a decade ago I was a naïve teenager, who fell head over heels for a bad boy with a bad attitude. He was rough, and tough, and thought he ruled the world. When I first started dating him I thought he was perfect as seems to happen in most relationships, the newness wore off. And then I caught him with his best friend. In bed. Instead of being put off, I realized that I was turned on, and when he asked me to join them, and make our twosome a permanent threesome, I went for it.

Flash forward a dozen years or more, and I’m now a wife, and mother of three, with a sedate life in middle America. I drive car pool for track practice, bake cookies for preschool, and chaperone school dances. Yep. I became THAT mom. Then I started having vivid dreams about a pair of twins who were firemen. They came ever single night without fail, and each time I woke up I had a new piece of their story in my head. I began putting it on paper, only to realize that the word count was really adding up and I was writing a romance story that involved TWO heroes. I remember thinking to myself, “this will likely have to be published on a fetish site, because no one buys this stuff.” Lucky for me, I’m not the only woman in the world with a ménage fantasy.

Ménage stories give women the best of every world. In most of my stories, the heroes are very different from each other, bonding only over their shared love of the heroine, and their desire to protect her and keep her for their own. What woman doesn’t want to be in the middle of a muscular Man’wich? As I’ve grown as an author I’ve learned that each ménage relationship is different, and yet each is built on mutual respect and open minded love. If only the whole world could be more open-minded, right? Well in The Surrender Trilogy, I’m taking you to Stone River, Texas, where alternative lifestyles are accepted, as long as the people living them are good at heart.

Just released, Primal Surrender is the story of two brothers who have reached the top of their careers, only to have the carpet yanked out from underneath them. It’s not until their heroine, Claudia enters their world that they even realize they’re lives are worth living without money and fame. Take a peek….

“This is about teaching her she can trust us, Ryk. Until today we’ve let her have control of this relationship. It’s been about what she feels comfortable with, but now, we’re going to make her uncomfortable so she lets us in as her men.” Mack stared into her eyes as he spoke, and Claudia felt tears burn the back of her eyelids.

He had to know how uncomfortable she was already. She had never slept with two men at the same time, and she had never delved into the world of Dominance and submission. Part of her was afraid of losing herself if she submitted completely, and part of her wanted to be defiant just to see how far he would push her.

Ryker joined her on the bed as Mack retrieved his backpack and started removing items from it. Drawing out a pair of scissors, Ryker began cutting away the clothes she had never removed. Glaring at him as hard as she could only seemed to make him smile wider as he tore away the last remnants of her armor and left her naked for both of them.

While she was distracted by Ryker, Mack had removed a slim vibrator, a pair of pinchers of some sort, a bottle of lube, several more pieces of satin, and a small butt plug from his bag of tricks. Eyes wide with anxiety, she waited to see what he would do first.

To her shock, he slid into the bed on her other side, opposite Ryker, and the two men began to stroke and fondle her everywhere. Four hands can do a lot of damage to a woman’s willpower when used correctly, and she rapidly fell under their spell.

The Amazing Willow Brooke!

Thank you so much for having me KD!

The Twisted Fate Series is one of my more challenging series. There are so many paranormal series out there, that I wanted to do something totally different. For all those who have read my books, I like to keep more than one story line going and incorporate a lot of information and details to keep it fresh and busy.

In Releasing the Spirit, I incorporated the old characters with a few new ones and set up for the story line to take a new spin in the next book. I hate predictable. If I can keep my readers guessing through the entire story, then I have succeeded.

This book was my first ever MMF book. I was afraid to dabble in the MM aspect, but once I got into it, it was fun! Jess Buffett mentored and helped through the heroes’ relationship. She is amazing! I couldn’t have done it without her. She is truly the best MM author in the world.

I hope that the next book will throw you all for a loop. I have some awesome ideas that will make your head spin and bring a little somethin’ somethin’ new to the table with even more of your favorite shifters and vamps.

Thank ya’all so much and happy reading!

In book two of Twisted Fate: When an evil force from the past emerges threatening her life, Zarah Runningbear must turn to her friends for help. Born into the Native American bear shifter tribe, Zarah has been an outcast since the day her spirit animal matured—never to come forth. Plagued in a life where spirits haunted her day and night, the meaning of her existence in the magical shifter world seems eminent on her future and purpose.

Chad Browning, a young wolf shifter still sewing his oats, sets his sights on the alluring Zarah when a smooth run-in over coffee sets his wolf into a frenzy. With her safety on the line, he is willing to risk it all to save his one true mate and earn her affection.
Kuruk Falls is an old spirit, living out yet another life in hopes of finding his mate. Tormented by dreams of a woman his bear desires and a wolf from his past, he has a choice to make in the crossroads ahead. The mere idea of mating another male is preposterous and ridiculous… But his bear has other ideas and no matter how hard he fights, he can’t escape his bear’s demands and desires.

In an epic battle against forces of evil so great even the angels from above descend to fight with the elite paranormal forces to take back and protect the balance of the universe. Will the mystic Zarah’s unknown powers be enough to dispose of Myeera once and for all? With the forces combined—will it even be enough?

New Book Release Spotlight: Sinful's Desire

Today we are spotlighting a new book from two amazing authors Jana Leigh and Gracie Meadows.  Let's find out about their new book Sinful's Desire which releases Tuesday 5/6/2014

BLURB:

Warning: For Mature Adult Audiences. Contains language and actions some may deem offensive. MF.

In book one of the Vampire Lords: Marlee Hicks decided that it was time to step out on her own and what better way than a vacation in the lush lands of Ireland. Loving the scenery and food, she soon relaxes and enjoys everything Ireland has to offer. Until the one night trouble follows her; however, she doesn’t realize the most sinful of troubles has yet to step out of the shadows.

Sin Donovan is the Vampire Lord of Ireland and loves everything that comes with that title. Lately he has become restless, until he meets a spitfire of a woman on holiday. He finds an instant connection with her, and the way she seems to draw attention everywhere she goes, he isn't the only one. The difference between him and the others, Sin wants to protect while the others want to destroy.

When another vampire threatens to take over Sin’s territory, it is up to him and a select few vampires to defend and defeat this unknown threat. With the enemy near, can Marlee stay out of trouble or will Sin lose the one thing he desires more than his own life and territory?

EXCERPT:

A movement caught Sin's eye as he watched the most breathtaking creature he had ever seen do something that cause a man much larger than her bend over and fall on the ground. His lips twitched in amusement as curses reached his ears.

“Don’t touch me again you fucking jerk,” the woman yelled down to the man.

“Cillian,” Sin said softly and his lieutenant went to the aid of the woman instantly.

Sin waited at the stairs, Cillian knew to bring the woman to him, Cillian had to have felt the surge of desire Sin had when he first laid eyes on the female. No one had ever had this effect on him.

“Hey, I didn’t get rid of one asshole to find another waiting!” the woman said and pulled against Cillian’s hand that helped her around the big man lying on the floor moaning in pain.

“Miss, my boss would like to apologize,” Cillian said smoothly.

Like that would ever happen, Sin thought.

“Why, is he this asshole's friend?” the woman snorted.

“No!” Cillian said and stopped, offended with the thought. He looked at the female and Sin could feel the compulsion he was trying to use. A normal human would have immediately stopped resisting and followed. It was something they only used when they needed to, because Sin hated to take a human’s free will away, but this female intrigued him and so Sin didn’t interfere. However, Sin watched in shock as she jerked her arm away finally, looked at Cillian, and laughed.

“Excuse me,” the woman said. “I have friends who are waiting. Unless he is going to arrest that man then I will be on my way.”

Cillian turned and looked at Sin and frowned. It was unusual a human would be able to ignore a vampire's compulsion. He nodded to Cillian and stepped forward to look at the woman closely. She was even more beautiful close up, and her blood called to him like no other.

“Please, forgive my friend here. We just wanted to make sure you were okay,” Sin said smoothly and looked into the woman’s eyes. He was a Vampire Lord and his powers were very powerful, but when the woman rolled her eyes and laughed at him, he growled deeply.

“Oh, well you don’t have to get growly. Thank you for your concern. I appreciate it, but as you can see I am fine,” the woman said and turned to walk away. Cillian stood in her path and she looked at him over her shoulder and rose an eyebrow. “Tell your friend to move, or we will have a serious issue. And by we…I mean he, because his nuts will be in his throat.”

Sin threw back his head and laughed loudly as his second in command stood straighter and frowned. He would not appreciate being spoke to like that. Before his second could respond, Sin held up his hand to him. “May I at least ask your name?”

The woman tilted her lips into a half smiled and shrugged. “You can, but that doesn’t mean I am going to tell you.” And with that she walked away with a slight swing in her hips.

Sin turned to Cillian and nodded. His second would know what to do. He needed to know who she was and where she was staying.

The Amazing Willow Brooke!

I asked if author Willow Brooke would come by and share with us about her writing and what her goal as an author is for each story.  Please give a warm welcome to the amazing author Willow Brooke!________________________
WILLOW
As you all know, I recently released book 3 in my Breaking Protocol series, Mission: Compromised Submissive. The series has so much truth tossed in with the hot fantasy aspects and desires we only experience through books.
Vice and Dom are both extremely dominating characters, so to put them together in a Dom/sub relationship proved to be difficult. The military is a rough, unstable life with death constantly around every corner. Vice refused to bow down easily, and had to learn to give some of the control she clung on to. Dom on the other hand not only needs to control his own life, but others he lets in his personal little bubble. Together, these two learn and grow to become one solid relationship of understanding, love, and trust.
Routine, Control, and Trust are three aspects every soldier lives by on the battlefield, but when it comes to life in the civilian world, trust is the one factor that isn’t there. Every family has to learn to deal and help their soldier emotionally and break the wall they put up.
I try to address the raw emotion and physical aspects our soldiers go through daily in every book. From an outsider looking in, the deep trauma and issues are non-existent. But for a wife/husband or mother of a soldier, it is a daily battle and job to fix the things war breaks. I want the readers to feel every emotion the families experience, from the sorrow of a fallen vet or the joy we feel the moment our soldier walks in off the plane after a two-year deployment. A spouse carries worry and stress every waking minute until they get that five-minute video call that eases it and gives them something to cling onto until the next one. Whether it be getting up at three a.m., loading the sleeping babies in the car, and driving to pick your soldier up in the field after two months of them being gone, or holding them tight before they leave just in case it is the last time, our military families have the hardest job of all.
In the next book, I will be addressing a subject that is branded shameful in the military community and brushed under the rug. PTSD is real, and affects not just the family, but also the soldier’s mental state. Shame, confusion, mood swings, and paranoia are just a few of the symptoms that most are unable to reach out and seek help for, but most soldiers have in one way or another.
This series is so dear to my heart, and I hope that it shines a light on real military issues and emotions. A lot of details are fact from my own experiences from the 12 years my husband served in the Army. I laugh, get angry, and cry like a baby through some of the scenes, and only hope I deliver it on to the pages so the reader feels the same. Thank you all for making Breaking Protocol so successful and allowing me to tell the stories!

In book three of Breaking Protocol: Dom finds himself fighting a battle within for what he wants, and what he can never have. He is a Dom through and through so there is no denying his alternative lifestyle. The problem is he can't seem to stop the sexy little innuendos when it comes to the woman that haunts his every waking and sleeping moment. With a mission in the making he works to find the inner strength to stay away from her for both their sakes.

Vice has tried, but she can’t get away from the panty-twisting kiss Dom laid on her the night of the party. It haunts her dreams, and tortures her during the day. Tension is thick, and Dom is a walking contradiction. One minute he is pulling his ‘me man you woman’, then next, he leaves her melting into a puddle of need. Add in his rapid mood changes that are giving her whiplash, she is ready to strangle him.

The team heads out on another deployment with the hope in getting one step closer to stopping the terrorism and capturing the U.S. government officials behind the attacks on America until the mission takes a little detour as one of their own is captured.

The fight is on between two soldiers as they find themselves in a battle of wills. Can one learn to comprise while the other learns to be a submissive or will they both walk away from everlasting happiness?

Then can the team get to their comrade captivity before the window of opportunity shuts or will they face yet another loss and blow to their team.
Join the men and woman who place themselves in danger for the greater good, fighting to right the wrongs.
