The House of Representatives has been without a Speaker for more than 2 weeks after Matt Gaetz filed a motion to vacate the chair. Kevin McCarthy was ousted as House Speaker earlier this month in a 216-210 vote. 8 Republicans voted to oust McCarthy: Biggs, Buck, Burchett, Crane, Gaetz, Good, Mace, and Rosendale.
Jim Jordan failed to secure the 217 votes to win the gavel on the first ballot on Tuesday. Twenty GOP representatives voted against Jim Jordan.
Round two of the floor vote for House Speaker took place Wednesday morning and Chairman Jordan fell short again. This time 22 Republicans voted against Jordan.
On Thursday, the Republican closed-door conference on the House Speaker vote devolved into chaos after McCarthy and Gaetz had a heated exchange.
“I was at the mic and I was speaking and Matt Gaetz tried to interrupt and I told him to sit down and he sat down,” McCarthy said blasting Gaetz and the ‘crazy eights’ who voted to oust him.
McCarthy continued, “No, I told him to sit down. I think the entire conference screamed at him.”
According to reports, Rep. Mike Bost “almost lunged at” Gaetz after McCarthy screamed at the Florida lawmaker to sit down.
The third vote for the Speaker will take place Friday morning at 10 am.
Meanwhile, former House Speakers Newt Gingrich and John Boehner are backing McHenry for interim Speaker. The resolution to empower McHenry fell through Thursday evening.
The turmoil over choosing a permanent House Speaker is blunting the investigations into the Biden Crime Family.
No one is talking about the Biden impeachment inquiry. No one is talking about the Hunter and James Biden subpoenas. No one is talking about Joe Biden’s stolen classified documents scandal.

Netflix hikes prices yet again
Netflix has hiked up the prices of some of its tiers once again in several key markets, including the UK and the US.
The streaming giant has just posted its third quarter earnings results, and they’ve come accompanied by the unwelcome news of yet another price bump in the US, the UK, and France.
Starting from today here in the UK, the price of a Basic plan is going up by £1 to £7.99 a month, while US prices are rising $2 from $9.99 to $11.99 a month. The Premium plan has been increased by £2 to £17.99 a month in the UK, and by $3 from $19.99 to $22.99 in the US.
Standard tier subscribers get a reprieve, with the plan continuing to cost £10.99 a month here in the UK and $15.49 in the US.

Netflix has been all about the bad news in 2023, having axed the Basic plan for new users in the UK and US back in July. Instead the entry-level slot was filled by the Basic with ads plan tier, which inserts adverts for a slightly lower monthly fee.
The company also launched an aggressive clamp down on password sharers back in May, which appeared not to cause the mass subscription cancellations that some had predicted. Which is nice for Netflix, I’m sure we can all agree.
Earlier in the month it was rumoured that Netflix would be increasing subscription prices across several markets, but it was held that Netflix would wait until several months after the end of the writer’s strike. It’s clearly very eager to get those extra pounds, dollars, and euros rolling in.

How to Visit Prison Island in Zanzibar
If you’re planning a trip to Zanzibar in Tanzania, you’ve probably heard of “Prison Island.” Sometimes referred to as “Changuu Island” or “Turtle Island,” it is also called the Tortoise Sanctuary.
The name Prison Island in Zanzibar comes from its history as a former prison, although it was never used for that purpose.
Changuu Island gets its name from the abundance of fish in the surrounding waters – Changuu is the Swahili word for fish.
Although called Turtle Island by tourists, there are no turtles on this particular island; only tortoises can be found here.
The main attraction of this island is undoubtedly the Tortoise Sanctuary, where you can see giant Aldabra tortoises in the wild.

Where is Prison Island in Zanzibar?Located in the northwestern part of Stone Town, this site is only 5.6 km or 3.5 miles from Stone Town, making it conveniently close to the city and perfect for a quick visit.
A boat ride to reach it takes about 25 minutes, but be aware that the water can get rough at times, which can slightly extend the duration of your trip.
Although the island is not very large, only 800m long and 220m wide, it has a wealth of attractions and experiences to offer.

Some people may mistakenly call them turtles, but technically they are tortoises. There are about 100 of them; you can walk among them and even feed them. They have lettuce for breakfast right on the ground!
If you’re lucky, you might even pet these amazing creatures and take pictures.
However, it’s important to remember that as guests in their habitat, we should respect their space. Don’t try to force them to do anything or pick them up – the worst thing you can do is sit on them!
These Aldabra tortoises are one of the largest tortoise species in the world; some can weigh up to 200kg! What makes them truly remarkable is that they are believed to be among the longest-living creatures in the world. The oldest tortoise on Changuu Island is estimated to be an impressive 196 years old. You’ll notice that some of these beautiful creatures have numbers on their shells indicating their age.
Originally from the Aldabra Atoll in the Seychelles, four of these incredible tortoises were generously donated by the Governor of the Seychelles in the 18th century. Their population grew to around 200 individuals.
Unfortunately, their numbers began to decline rapidly in the 1960s due to poaching. These magnificent creatures were either stolen for consumption or kept as exotic pets. Shockingly, by 1980, there were only a hundred full-grown individuals left alive, and unfortunately, that number dropped drastically to just seven by 1996.
Faced with such an alarming decline, and with the Aldabra tortoise being listed as ‘vulnerable,’ urgent action was required by the authorities, and eighty hatchlings were relocated to Prison Island to provide shelter for this endangered species. This shift in the island’s purpose, from a place of exile to a sanctuary for these magnificent creatures, was largely due to its geographical isolation, which provided them with a safe haven.
In addition to tortoises, Prison Island is also home to some peacocks, birds, and small, elusive duikers – tiny antelopes that are difficult to spot.
The second most interesting attraction on the island is undoubtedly the prison ruins. There are benches and a bar where you can enjoy a beer or coffee during your visit. Keep in mind that it might be a bit pricey, but having such an amazing view with your drink might make up for it! The restaurant there is called the “Prison Restaurant.”
Interestingly enough, you can go snorkeling near Prison Island after your visit. It has become quite popular with visitors looking for more water activities. Just ask the captain of your boat trip to take you there, as it would be impossible to reach this spot from shore, and the water is incredibly clear, offering great visibility of the marine life within the reef.

When is the best time to visit Prison Island?The ideal time to visit is in the morning for several reasons.
First, tortoises are eager and ready to eat at this time. They will actively eat food from your hand or forage for themselves.
Second, because it’s early in the day and not too hot, they tend to be more active and move around a bit more (though don’t expect them to run everywhere). It’s all within tortoise limits.
To make the most of your experience without feeling uncomfortable due to the heat, leaving Stone Town at 9am is perfect timing. The temperature won’t be scorching, and you’ll get to see the turtles at their best – a win-win situation.
However, remember that because the mornings are popular with visitors like you, there may be some congestion as boats dock and undock. There may be a short wait to get on or off the boat, but nothing too long.
How to get to Prison Island?Unfortunately, there are no public ferries to take you to Prison Island.
However, if you happen to be strolling along one of the two beaches in Stone Town, chances are that you will be approached by individuals offering private boat charters. Most of these boats are motorized dhows, which are about 7 meters (22 feet) long and known for their sleek hull design. The cost of this boat trip can be negotiated and usually decreases per person when more people join the trip. If you’re on a tight budget, it’s possible to join a group and save some money.
However, caution is advised as arranging your own trip may result in being cheated or ending up on an unsafe vessel.

Boat and safety on waterMost of the boats available are long motorized boats with a sun shade. They may not be the most comfortable, but they are good enough for the short trip to Turtle Island.

According to the Capital Police, over 300 “demonstrators” were arrested. They also told Fox News that they will be charged with illegally protesting in the Capitol.
Pro-Palestinian demonstrators swarmed the Cannon Rotunda on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, with hundreds of protesters demanding a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
Footage from inside the Cannon Office Building showed a large group chanting “Ceasefire Now!” and calling for Congress to demand the fighting stop in Israel. The protesters were spotted wearing black T-shirts reading, “Jews Say Ceasefire Now!”
With the crooked Biden regime in power, they will probably all be let go in the end. Only Trump supporters go to prison in this country, not Hamas terrorist sympathizers like the one’s we see.

For those unfamiliar, DALL-E is an image-generation tool that allows users to create images based on text-based prompts. While the first version launched in January 2021, OpenAI finally launched DALL-E 3 to the general public — with a few caveats.
This guide details the new features users should expect in DALL-E 3, the tool’s launch date, pricing, and other frequently asked questions.
When is DALL-E 3 coming out?DALL-E 3 officially launched on August 20, 2023, exclusively for researchers. As of October, the new version of the AI image generator received a wider release, though it is only available publicly through Microsoft’s Bing Chat. Additionally, only ChatGPT Plus users have access to this feature. It is unclear when — or if — DALL-E 3 will be released outside of Bing Chat or to nonsubscribers.

It is available through Bing Chat rather than being powered by a stand-alone tool. Note that this feature is only available for ChatGPT Plus users, who must pay a monthly subscription.
Ability to opt-outLike all AI models, DALL-E 3 learns from publicly available data, such as images and text. The model assimilates data and utilizes it to create all-new images inspired by its previously acquired data. Not all artists wish for their data to be used by DALL-E 3. Therefore, OpenAI has provided two options for content owners to opt out of having their images used as training data. They can opt-out by either filling out this online form or blocking the GPTBot, a web crawler designed to gather training info, from accessing their site.
DALL-E 2 vs DALL-E 3: How do they compare?

According to OpenAI, the most significant change and improvement from DALL-E 2 to DALL-E 3 is that the new version is markedly better at understanding text prompts, specifically longer ones. DALL-E 3 has also apparently improved in areas that previously posed problems for image generation tools, like hands and text.

“Devil Comet” 3x The Size of Mount Everest Makes Way to Earth | The Gateway Pundit
A comet three times the size of Mount Everest is heading toward the earth according to astronomers.
Pons-Brooks which has been deemed as the “devil comet” due to its horns exploded on October 5th and is now on trajectory towards the Earth.
There’s no need to worry, however, because the comet is not expected to hit the Earth but will be visible to some parts of Earth between April and June of next year.
Pons-Brooks is a dry-volcanic comet which means its basically a cold volcano that constantly releases icy debris all throughout the solar system.

Per The New York Post:
As if things didn’t seem apocalyptic enough already, scientists reported that a “horned” comet three times bigger than Mount Everest exploded and is hurtling toward Earth.
The blast originated on Oct. 5 from 12P/Pons-Brooks a cryovolcanic — or cold volcano — comet that measures a colossal 18.6 miles in diameter, or the size of a small city, Live Science reported.
For reference, Mount Everest, the highest mountain on Earth, is 29,029 feet high — or about 5.5 miles.
This marked the second time this interstellar ice cube erupted in the last four months, with the last celestial event occurring in July, the Science Times reported.
As if things didn’t seem apocalyptic enough, scientists reported that a giant city-sized “horned comet” named 12P has exploded and is hurtling towards Earth.

Astronomers believe the closest the comet will reach towards earth is 144 million miles so there’s no need to worry for now.

Aging singer Cher is saying that she will leave the United States if Trump is reelected in 2024. Where have we heard this one before?
In 2016, dozens of liberal celebrities claimed that they would leave the country if Trump won but of course none of them actually followed through and did it.
Don’t they realize they’d be doing the rest of us a favor?

Cher Says She will Leave the U.S. if Trump Gets Re-elected
Left-wing pop star Cher says she will leave the United States if former President Donald Trump is re-elected, claiming that she “almost got an ulcer” when Trump was elected president in 2016.
“I almost got an ulcer the last time [Trump was elected],” Cher told the Guardian in an interview published Wednesday, adding, “If he gets in, who knows? This time I will leave [the country].”
Cher had supported President Joe Biden during the 2020 presidential election and even recorded a reworked song, titled, “Happiness Is Just A Thing Called Joe,” for his campaign. The “Believe” singer had also backed Trump’s opponent in the 2016 presidential election, Hillary Clinton.
The pop star is no strangers to airing her grievances with regards to politics.
Last year, Cher reacted to the U.S. Supreme Court overruling Roe v. Wade in an all-caps Twitter tirade, saying Trump’s “radical Republican Supreme Court” is “responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of American women.”
Why are liberal celebrities so predictable?

Google-hosted malvertising leads to fake Keepass site that looks genuine

Google has been caught hosting a malicious ad so convincing that there’s a decent chance it has managed to trick some of the more security-savvy users who encountered it.

Looking at the ad, which masquerades as a pitch for the open-source password manager Keepass, there’s no way to know that it’s fake. It’s on Google, after all, which claims to vet the ads it carries. Making the ruse all the more convincing, clicking on it leads to ķeepass[.]info, which when viewed in an address bar appears to be the genuine Keepass site.

A closer link at the link, however, shows that the site is not the genuine one. In fact, ķeepass[.]info —at least when it appears in the address bar—is just an encoded way of denoting xn--eepass-vbb[.]info, which it turns out, is pushing a malware family tracked as FakeBat. Combining the ad on Google with a website with an almost identical URL creates a near perfect storm of deception.
“Users are first deceived via the Google ad that looks entirely legitimate and then again via a lookalike domain,” Jérôme Segura, head of threat intelligence at security provider Malwarebytes, wrote in a post Wednesday that revealed the scam.
AdvertisementInformation available through Google’s Ad Transparency Center shows that the ads have been running since Saturday and last appeared on Wednesday. The ads were paid for by an outfit called Digital Eagle, which the transparency page says is an advertiser whose identity has been verified by Google.

Google representatives didn’t immediately respond to an email, which was sent after hours. In the past, the company has said it promptly removes fraudulent ads as soon as possible after they’re reported.
The sleight of hand that allowed the imposter site xn--eepass-vbb[.]info to appear as ķeepass[.]info is an encoding scheme known as punycode. It allows unicode characters to be represented in standard ASCII text. Looking carefully, it’s easy to spot the small comma-like figure immediately below the k. When it appears in an address bar, the figure is equally easy to miss, especially when the URL is backed by a valid TLS certificate, as is the case here.
The use of punycode-enhanced malware scams has a long history. Two years ago, scammers used Google ads to drive people to a site that looked almost identical to brave.com, but was, in fact, another malicious website pushing a fake, malicious version of the browser. The punycode technique first came to widespread attention in 2017, when a Web application developer created a proof-of-concept site that masqueraded as apple.com.
There’s no sure-fire way to detect either malicious Google ads or punycode encoded URLs. Posting ķeepass[.]info into all five major browsers leads to the imposter site. When in doubt, people can open a new browser tab and manually type the URL, but that’s not always feasible when they’re long. Another option is to inspect the TLS certificate to make sure it belongs to the site displayed in the address bar.
