McConnell Claims He is in “Good Shape” and “Completely Recovered” After His Reoccurring Freezing Episodes (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) on Sunday said he is “in good shape” and “completely recovered” after his concussion and freezing episodes.
“I’m in good shape, completely recovered and back on the job,” McConnell said during his interview with CBS’s “Face the Nation” host Margaret Brennan.

81-year-old Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is “medically clear” to continue work after he froze up for the second time in late August.
And this is just what we have seen in public. Certainly, McConnell is having these episodes in private as well.
McConnell was holding a press conference in Covington, Kentucky last month when he went into a catatonic state.
Mitch McConnell temporarily froze and was unable to speak. An aide came to his rescue and promptly ended the press conference.
McConnell became unresponsive and stared blankly during a Senate press conference.

As TGP’s Kristinn Taylor reported, McConnell suffered a concussion and a broken bone after a fall in March. He was hospitalized and did a stint in rehab before returning to the Senate in mid-April.
A Capitol physician suggested McConnell is experiencing small seizures due to dehydration.
“I have consulted with Leader McConnell and conferred with his neurology team. After evaluating yesterday’s incident, I have informed Leader McConnell that he is medically clear to continue with his schedule as planned. Occasional lightheadedness is not uncommon in concussion recovery and can also be expected as a result of dehydration,” Capitol physician Brian Monahan said in a statement last month.
Senator Rand Paul is not buying the “dehydration” explanation.
“I think it’s an inadequate explanation to say this is dehydration… Well, I practiced medicine for 25 years and it doesn’t look like dehydration to me, it looks like a focal neurologic event,’” Rand Paul, a physician said to reporters last month.

Joe Biden is spending the weekend at his Rehoboth Beach, Delaware home as the world teeters on World War III.
Israel threatened to wipe Iran and Lebanon off the face of the earth if Hezbollah joins the war.
China sent warships to the Mideast this weekend. The Pentagon issued more deployment orders.
The Kremlin raged after Biden ramped up his war rhetoric and compared Vladimir Putin to Hamas.
Meanwhile, Joe Biden is spending the weekend at his luxury Rehoboth Beach home which he paid all cash for within weeks of his son Hunter’s ‘shakedown’ message to his Chinese business associate.
Biden was spotted leaving church on Sunday. A reporter asked him about the Israel-Gaza war and the hostages held by Hamas.
“Are you encouraging the Israelis to delay invasion?” a reporter asked Biden.
“I’m talking to the Israelis,” Biden said.
Another reporter shouted, “Any word on any additional hostage releases, sir?”
Biden ignored the reporter and shuffled into the presidential motorcade.

According to a Bloomberg White House Correspondent, Joe Biden callously brushed off the reporter asking about Maui and said, “No comment” before heading home.

OnePlus cracks the foldable with the Open, while Apple Pencil confuses
OPINION: This week has been a massive one for gamers, with numerous highly-anticipated titles finally hitting shelves.
Not only has Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 finally swung onto PS5 but everyone’s favourite plumber has returned in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and the Early Access version of Football Manager 2024 also got a surprise release.
As usual, we’re here to crown this week’s winners and losers – so who has picked up the gongs this week?
Winner: OnePlus produces the best book-style foldable yetWe’ve known OnePlus has been working on its first foldable for months now, and this week it was finally revealed. Ahead of the launch, our mobile expert Lewis Painter spent a few weeks putting the phone through its paces and he very much enjoyed the experience.
In the verdict of his glowing 4.5/5 star review, he said: “the OnePlus Open gets the book-style foldable formula right, boasting a no-compromise experience with excellent displays, great performance, custom foldable camera tech and fast charging, all at a price cheaper than most of the competition.”
Now, while this is the first foldable under the OnePlus brand, it’s not necessarily starting from scratch. The OnePlus Open has more than a passing resemblance to the Oppo Find N3 which was also announced this week. Considering Oppo – a sister company of OnePlus – has been producing excellent foldables for a while, it’s hardly a surprise the OnePlus Open is a hit, and our clear winner this week.
Loser: What’s going on with the Apple Pencil?Apple announced a new version of its excellent Apple Pencil stylus this week. Not a Pro model, as many expected, or a replacement for one of its two currently available versions – but a third option.
Upon first glance, this oddly named Apple Pencil (USB-C) looks like a great product. it’s the cheapest Apple Pencil yet, has a built-in USB-C port instead of an annoying Lightning connector and seems a perfect fit for the iPad 10 Apple introduced late last year.
When it was launched, this iPad didn’t support the newer Apple Pencil 2, instead requiring a dodgy adapter to allow it to work with the very first Apple Pencil.
The problem with this Apple Pencil (USB-C) is that it just makes the whole range very confusing, far too confusing for a trio of stylus. For instance, while it works with any USB-C iPad, it can’t charge wirelessly – even though it’ll magnetically attach.
This new Pencil also lacks any form of pressure sensitivity, a feature that’s been present on all previous Apple Pencil models and has been a stalwart of the series. Removing this feature makes this option less suited to drawers, as you won’t be able to press down harder for a thicker line. Just a look at the comparison chart from Apple below for an idea of how confusing the range is.

Looted Treasure? Headless Statue Depicting Emperor-Philosopher Marcus Aurelius is Pitting Cleveland Museum of Art against Manhattan DA | The Gateway Pundit
A beheaded antique statue is pitting Manhattan DA office against the Cleveland Museum of Art.
An emperor-philosopher, a beheaded statue, a nation in search of looted treasures, a municipal DA office and an Art museum: all the ingredients of a fine political and judicial art drama.
The Cleveland Museum of Art on Thursday filed a court challenge in Federal District Court in Ohio, seeking to block a ‘seizure in place’ order from New York investigators from the Manhattan DA’s office.
The investigators allege that a headless antique bronze statue, valued at $20 million, was looted from Turkey in the 1960s.
In its suit, the museum calls the evidence presented by the investigators uncompelling. The museum disputes that the statue was even from Turkey and suggested that it really depicts a philosopher, and not an emperor.
The New York Times reported:
“Describing the investigators’ evidence as ‘conjecture’, the museum said in its filing: ‘In this case, the evidence presented by the Defendant has fallen short of persuasive proof that the Philosopher is in fact a piece of stolen property belonging to the Republic of Türkiye’.
The investigators had already persuaded a New York judge to authorize the seizure of the bronze that, with its flowing robes and stoic posture, has held pride of place in the Greek and Roman galleries at the museum in Cleveland since its acquisition in 1986. Turkish investigators have said they also have evidence the statue in Cleveland was looted but officials said the museum had fended off their claims, saying Turkey had provided no hard evidence of theft.”
It is a rare for a museum to challenge a seizure order from the Manhattan district attorney’s office, which has been responsible for the return of thousands of items to countries where they had been looted from.
The Cleveland Museum of Art furthermore asked the court to declare the museum the rightful owner of the statue.
“Investigators responded to the court challenge with a statement that said: ‘The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office has successfully recovered more than 4,600 illegally trafficked antiquities from numerous individuals and institutions. We are reviewing the museum’s filing in this matter and will respond in court papers’.”
The investigators think the statue was once part of a shrine built around A.D. 50, in Turkey, to honor a succession of Roman emperors.
Turkish officials have already gotten back several other statues thought to have been from the same location.
“In the past year, as part of its investigation into the Turkish looting claims, the district attorney’s Antiquities Trafficking Unit has seized artifacts at the Metropolitan Museum of Art; the Museum of Greek, Etruscan, and Roman Art at Fordham University; and the Worcester Art Museum in Massachusetts.
[…] In its filing on Thursday, the museum said that it had bought the statue in 1986 from the Edward H. Merrin Gallery for $1.85 million. The museum provided a bill of sale from the date of its purchase that said it was buying a ‘Figure of a Draped Emperor (Probably Marcus Aurelius), Roman, late 2nd Century A.D., bronze’.”
The museum argues that the statue was lawfully obtained, and that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office has no legal authority to seize it.
Associated Press reported:
“The suit filed Thursday asks a judge to declare that the museum is the rightful owner of the statue, which it calls ‘one of the most significant works in the (museum’s) collection’ of some 61,000 objects. Museum officials have repeatedly told the district attorney that their evidence is insufficient and suggested other investigative avenues, according to the suit, but all have been refused.”
The museum removed the statue from view and changed the description on its website, where it calls the statue a “Draped Male Figure” instead of indicating a connection to Marcus Aurelius.
“Turkey first made claims about the statue in 2012 when it released a list of nearly two dozen objects in the Cleveland museum’s collection that it said had been looted from Bubon and other locations. Museum officials said at the time that Turkey had provided no hard evidence of looting.”

Cornell Law School professor William Jacobson explained to Breitbart News Daily host Mike Slater how the far-left took over academia to the point where the U.S. has “a very radicalized faculty at almost every college” in the country, adding, “We’re in a collapse phase.”
“There’s that saying that collapse happens slowly, then suddenly. We’re in the ‘suddenly’ phase,” Jacobson told Slater.
“But it happened slowly,” Jacobson continued. “I’ve witnessed it — I graduated college in 1981. I went to Hamilton College in upstate New York,.it was a fairly conservative, traditional college. It’s now indistinguishable from Oberlin College.”
“The radical professors were hired, they had a plan,” Jacobson explained. “They slowly took over the committees and the hiring committees, and they only hired their own, and over 30+ years, you got to a situation where you have a very radicalized faculty at almost every college in the U.S.”

Chainsaw Populism: Favorite for Sunday’s Argentina Election, Javier Milei Wants to Take Down the Corrupt, Inefficient State Apparatus | The Gateway Pundit
Argentina, under the leftist and globalist Peronist rule of Alberto Fernandez, has sunk into a mess of hyperinflation and economic decay the likes of which the South American had never seen before.
Even though Fernandez has turned his once-proud nation into a shadow of what it once was, with an astonishing poverty rate of over 40%, he is treated by the leftist and globalist media as the sensible and acceptable option in the figure of his – wait for it – economy minister Sergio Massa. Yes, you read it right.
The right wing opposition, as usual, is maligned in the world press as ‘far right’, ”reactionary’ and other political bad words. But Javier Milei is not your run of the mill conservative, either.
The self-described ‘anarcho-capitalist’ is a former rocker who is loud and in your face, and if his message seems radical, it’s because the situation in Argentina has reached peak crisis and really needs an intervention.
You may be used to hear about ‘belt tightening’, or ‘trimming’ waste, but Milei vows to ‘attack the system with a chainsaw’. He totes a power tool at events ‘projecting defiance and strength to disaffected Argentines’.
The people support Milei’s crusade ‘to shred the bloated state’ and what he calls ‘the political caste’.
Polls show him winning a presidential vote Sunday and going to a runoff next month.
Associated Press reported:
“’The caste is trembling!’ he yelled while brandishing a chainsaw spewing diesel fumes on a crowded street last month. In the poor, northwestern province of Salta last week, his caravan was welcomed by a group of workers waving their own buzzing chainsaws in the air.
Argentina’s economy has been engulfed in crisis for years, but lately people feel they are being pushed to the brink: I nflation has rocketed into the triple digits, poverty is soaring and a rapidly depreciating currency is decimating the purchasing power of salaries.”
Milei’s Chainsaw Plan is to slash public spending, ‘scrap half the government’s ministries, sell state-owned companies and eliminate the central bank’.
“In a television interview in March, Milei explained that his Chainsaw Plan was ‘all about tightening the reins on the spending of corrupt politicians’. He has pointed to his strongest electoral competitors as embodiments of a parasitic establishment that has long considered itself beyond reproach or reckoning, and presented himself as the man to cut it down to size.”
Milei’s chainsaw is peaceful, says Sebastián Borrego, a 51-year-old voter who attended his rally. It’s a tool, like those he uses in his own garden.
“’Pruning is a part of what it means to bring about transformation in the country … cutting off parts that aren’t useful’, said Borrego.”
Argentina was shocked by the Milei primary win, a libertarian outsider who has pledged to dollarize the economy, abolish the country’s central bank.
Milei is often compared to former U.S. President Donald Trump or Brazil’s ex-leader Jair Bolsonaro, which is designed to tarnish his image, even though they are both very popular leaders.
CNBC reported:
“His main rivals are current Economy Minister Sergio Massa, who represents the ruling Union por la Patria coalition, and former Security Minister Patricia Bullrich from the center-right Juntos por el Cambio coalition.
[…] The purchasing power of the South American nation has been ravaged by an annual inflation rate of 138%, while two in five Argentines now live in poverty and key agricultural areas have been hit by a historic drought.”
The race is unlikely to be decided this weekend. Instead, the top two candidates from Sunday’s vote will decide in a runoff vote on Nov. 19.
“For a candidate to win outright on Sunday, they must obtain more than 45% of the votes or over 40% with a more-than 10-point lead over the second-place candidate. The winner of the vote will govern for the next four years, through to the end of 2027.”

Finally, he notes that Biden’s speech included nothing about the border or our rising crime problem.

Gender-Bending Teacher Couple in Tennessee Busted for Prostitution in Police Sting | The Gateway Pundit
A pair of substitute teachers in Tennessee, who are apparently some combination of LGBTQ++ and in a relationship, were just busted for prostitution.
According to them, they need to do this in order to survive.

Tennessee substitute teachers Ezra Fry and David Acevedo cited on prostitution charges after an undercover police sting
A trans and queer activist couple who are substitute teachers for a Tennessee school district were recently busted for prostitution in Tennessee after an undercover sting by police.
Ezra Fry, 22, and David Acevedo, 25, were cited in late August when Chattanooga Police Narcotics and detectives went undercover in a prostitution sting.
The couple were detained after Fry led the undercover cop to the bedroom and was handed money for the sexual transaction.
‘I don’t care, everyone has seen my [privates],’ Fry allegedly said to an officer.
WTVC reported Fry told authorities that the couple had been in the business for several years as a way to make extra money. Both had been substitute teachers in Hamilton County schools as recently as this year.
A police report stated an officer who posed as ‘John’ made contact with Fry through an ‘illicit prostitution website’ to set up a sexual arrangement.
The officer revealed that Fry – who is trans and uses they/them pronouns – invited the undercover officer to their house because he was a new client.
They claimed they would feel safer in the house where their husband, where Acevedo was waiting.

Twitter owner Elon Musk has punished the far-left New York Times on his platform for pushing the fake news story about Israel bombing a hospital in Gaza.
They were certainly not the only outlet that pushed this falsehood but they’re one of the biggest. Perhaps Musk is trying to make an example out of them.
Musk removed their precious verification badge which must have them very upset.

The New York Times X, formerly known as Twitter, account is no longer verified after owner Elon Musk removed its gold verification badge.
On Friday morning, social media users noticed the verification badge was missing from the liberal outlet’s profile. Just hours later, the account for the New York Times was sporting a new, blue check mark— suggesting that the outlet paid for verification status to distinguish itself.
Musk has been a longtime critic of the New York Times, accusing them of spreading fake news. A recent spat between the outlet and Musk ignited after a hospital in Gaza was bombed earlier this week.
The New York Times ran a headline accusing Israel of the bombing that left hundreds dead and citing only Palestinian sources. However, evidence verified by Israel and U.S. intelligence arms indicated the deadly attack was caused by a misfired rocket launched by the terrorist group Hamas.
In response, the New York Times was forced to change its headline at least three times.
The New York Times completely deserves this punishment.
