Journalist Goes Off on Her Colleagues in the Media for Acting Like ‘Stenographers of Terrorists’ (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit
Batya Ungar-Sargon is the opinion editor of Newsweek. During a recent appearance on FOX Business, she called out her colleagues in the media for acting like ‘stenographers of terrorists.’
She was referring specifically to the story of the bombed hospital in Gaza, which turned out to be untrue, but which liberal media rushed to report as true.
In the clip below, which has since gone viral, she explains why the media did this.

BATYA UNGAR-SARGON: I want to make sure that your audience understands the depravity of what happened yesterday. So after committee the worst atrocities against Jews since the Holocaust, the organization that was involved in dismembering children, alive in front of their parents, sent out a memo to the American press corps, ten days later, in which they said that Israel had killed 500 Palestinians, by bombing a hospital.
None of that that turned out to be true, Israel did not bomb the hospital, the hospital is still standing, and we do not know how many people were killed but certainly was not 500. But our press corps, like the stenographers of terrorists that they are, simply repeated this lie.
The New York Times, CNN, MSNBC, the Washington Post, the BBC, and the AP all repeated Hamas’ lie word for word. And why did they do this? Because they’re educated elite institutions with the get “woke mind virus,” they cannot tell right from wrong, they cannot tell truth from falsehood, and they simply li and lie, because to them, Israel is the oppressor, and they spent ten days having to describe atrocities issues and they were just desperate to get Israel back into the oppressor position of the bad guy.

RIP to my 8-port Unifi switch after years and years of Texas outdoor temps

This morning, I’d like to pour one out for a truly awesome piece of gear that did everything I asked of it without complaint and died before its time: my Unifi 8-port POE switch, model US-8-150W. Farewell, dear switch. You were a real one, and a lightning strike took you from us too soon.
I picked up this switch back in January 2016 when I was ramping up my quest to replace my shaky home Wi-Fi with something a little more enterprise-y. The results were, on the whole, positive (you can read about how that quest turned out in this piece right here, which contains much reflection on the consequences—good and bad—of going overboard on home networking), and this little 8-port switch proved to be a major enabler of the design I settled on.

Well, it’s a nice enough device—having 802.3af/at and Ubiquiti’s 24-volt passive PoE option made it universally compatible with just about anything I wanted to hook up to it. But the key feature was the two SFP slots, which technically make this a 10-port switch. I have a detached garage, and I wanted to hook up some PoE-powered security cameras out there, along with an additional wireless access point. The simplest solution would have been to run Ethernet between the house and the garage, but that’s not actually a simple solution at all—running Ethernet underground between two buildings can be electrically problematic unless it’s done by professionals with professional tools, and I am definitely not a professional. A couple of estimates from local companies told me that trenching conduit between my house and the garage was going to cost several hundred dollars, which was more than I wanted to spend.
AdvertisementBut optical fiber doesn’t have any of the electrical issues that copper does, and it works great between buildings. All it took to wire up my garage were some cheap gigabit SFP transceivers (pretty sure I used these ones right here), 40 meters of aqua-clad multimode fiber, and a $75 appointment with a contractor to actually run the fiber. Then I just had to mount the switch, and, boom, the garage was officially part of the network.

The reason why this switch warrants a front-page write-up is the sheer aplomb with which it handled the ridiculous amount of heat-related abuse it had to put up with. During the summer—which in Houston lasts about 10 months out of the year—the garage temperature can get above 120°F (around 50°C) and stay that way for 10 or 12 hours, and the US-8-150W’s CPU thermal sensor spent most of its operational life reading between 70°–80°C. That little switch ate those temperatures every single day, without complaint, for almost eight years.
That’s pretty damn good, in my opinion. In fact, the switch would still be in place, happily doing its thing, if not for a lightning strike near my home a couple of months back. The strike caused a bunch of problems—and one of those problems was scrambling the switch’s brains.
And even after the strike, the switch still wouldn’t die. Two ports quit working altogether, and two others wouldn’t produce PoE anymore, but the US-8-150W soldiered on for another month while I hunted around for a replacement.
In the end, the only thing I could find to replace the US-8-150W ended up being another US-8-150W—and so that’s what now hangs in my garage, in the same place as its forebear. Kudos to Ubiquiti for producing this tank—whatever else the company may have done, good or bad, the US-8-150W was a hell of a switch. Here’s to it, and here’s to the US-8-150W that I’m replacing it with. If I can get another eight years out of this one, it’ll absolutely be money well spent.

San Francisco Apartment Building Loses $250 Million in Value Amid Crime Crisis – Now Facing Forclosure | The Gateway Pundit
A very large apartment building in San Francisco has lost $250 million in value since 2018 as the city has devolved into a hellscape of crime and open drug addiction.
Commercial real estate and retail space in the city have had the same problems.
This could eventually cause a domino effect on San Francisco unlike anything we have ever seen.
The FOX Business Network reports:
San Francisco apartment building facing foreclosure, significant decline in value
An apartment building in San Francisco has reportedly experienced a large decrease in its value compared to where it stood in 2018.
The San Francisco Chronicle, citing data from Trepp, reported Thursday that the building, the Crescent Heights-owned NEMA, had its value decline by $264.6 million, hitting $279 million, more than a 48% drop from 2018, when it was worth $543.6 million.
Trepp had also tweeted about it Wednesday. The company, which tracks structured finance, commercial real estate and banking markets, said the commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) loan connected to it was $384 million.
The Mid-Market area of San Francisco, where the headquarters of X (previously known as Twitter) and other office buildings are located, houses NEMA. The roughly 10-year-old building has 37 floors and 754 rental units, according to the Crescent Heights website.
The change comes just a couple months after another Trepp report indicated the NEMA could potentially have to contend with foreclosure from a mortgage default, according to the San Francisco Chronicle and the San Francisco Business Times. Special servicing reportedly received the loan.

How to use the web wings in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
The web wings are one of the most notable new additions to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, allowing you to travel through New York at high speeds, especially in locations where swinging isn’t possible.
The web wings are also compulsory for select missions, especially if you’re travelling over large bodies of water with no nearby skyscraper to latch onto with your web.
However, it’s easy to forget how to actually use the web wings in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, so we’ve created this handy step-by-step guide.

You’ll need to find a high-up location before you activate your web wings, otherwise you’ll just splat on the ground. Either climb up a building, or start swinging. 
2Jump into the air
Once you’ve found a high location to embark from, jump into midair. If you’re swinging instead, you can simply let go of your webbing while up in the sky.
3Press triangle on the DualSense controller
While you’re in midair, press triangle on the DualSense controller. This will activate the web wings.
4Use the left analogue stick to navigate Spider-Man
By default, the web wings controls will be inverted by the Y-axis, so moving the analogue stick down will see Spider-Man veer upwards and vice versa. You can remove the inverted controls (or even add inversion for side-to-side movement) by diving into the settings.
5Use wind tunnels to gain momentum
The wing suit is dependent on momentum, so you’ll start falling to the ground when gliding too far. An easy way to gain momentum is to use wind tunnels. Keep an eye out for gusts of wind, as when approached, you’ll notice glow-up rings appear. Glide through them and then you’ll pick up speed while using the web wings to keep you up in the air for longer.
Yes, both Peter and Miles can use the web wings, no matter which suit you’re wearing.
Can I disable inverted movement for the web wingsYes you can! Click on the Options button on the DualSense then go to Settings > Controls > Invert Web Wings Control and then pick your desired setup.

Actor and hate crime hoaxer Jussie Smollett has entered rehab.
Smollett is currently appealing his case in Chicago for lying about being attacked by Trump supporters after midnight in the freezing cold in an almost purely Democrat city. Is he trying to garner sympathy?
Of course, it is possible that Smollett has resorted to substance abuse, knowing that his career is, for the most part, over.

Hate crime hoaxer and disgraced actor Jussie Smollett has entered a rehab treatment facility nearly five years after he was convicted for staging a racist, homophobic attack against himself and then lying about it to the Chicago police.
“Jussie has had an extremely difficult past few years. He has quietly been working very hard for some time now and we are proud of him for taking these necessary steps,” a representative for Smollett told TMZ.
The representative added that the Empire actor is in an outpatient program at the facility.
Smollett has entered rehab amid his ongoing appeal in his Chicago criminal case.

“Jussie has had an extremely difficult past few years. He has quietly been working very hard for some time now and we are proud of him for taking these necessary steps,” a rep for the disgraced actor told the outlet.
That’s a hell of a quote. Staging a hate crime to ignite racial tension in America, getting caught, then getting convicted, having your reputation and career destroyed and becoming a joke could certainly result in “an extremely difficult past few years.”
Smollett lying about Donald Trump supporters attempting to attack is right up there with the dumbest hoaxes the public has ever seen.
However, some hoaxes like Bigfoot are funny. Smollett purposely lied in order to spin up racial division in America. It was a truly awful thing to do, and there shouldn’t be any pity for him.
It’s important to remember that this is all by Smollett’s own doing. He had a pretty good acting career going, but that wasn’t good enough for him. He wanted to be a darling of the left and smeared fellow Americans with a lie in order to do it.

New Poll Shows Trump Beating Joe Biden in Nearly Every Swing State in 2024 | The Gateway Pundit
A new poll from Bloomberg and Morning Consult shows Donald Trump beating Joe Biden in more than half a dozen crucial swing states in 2024.
Is there any wonder why Democrats and the media are so desperate to silence Trump with endless investigations and indictments?
Recent events are certainly not helping Biden. People remember how much more secure and peaceful the world was on Trump’s watch. Under Biden, things are exploding all over the place.
The Washington Free Beacon reports:
Biden Losing to Trump in States Expected To Decide 2024 Election: Poll
President Joe Biden is trailing former president Donald Trump in states that are expected to decide the winner in the 2024 election, according to a new poll.
The poll, from Bloomberg News and Morning Consult, found that Trump beats Biden in nearly every swing state. The former president is up 47 percent to Biden’s 43 percent among voters in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
Trump has a lead in five of those seven states, according to the poll. The former president tied with Biden in Michigan, while Biden led by 3 points in Nevada.
Trump’s largest swing-state lead was in Georgia, where he polled 5 points ahead of Biden.

Comedian Sarah Silverman recently posted a message on Instagram that was clearly meant to be a message of support for Israel. It makes sense, considering the fact that Silverman is Jewish.
Unfortunately for Silverman, she was almost immediately attacked by her fellow travelers on the left who accused her of everything from racism to supporting genocide.

Screengrabs began to circulate on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, where Silverman’s name is trending Thursday.
In response to one post condemning her for supporting the stance, Silverman wrote: ‘Oh f**k yeah I took that down I put it in stories from someone, realized it was a mistake to post in the stoned fury of wondering where the hostages are in all this madness.’
Silverman clearly realized that her seat at the cool kids table was going to be taken away, so she backed down like a coward.

The House will vote Friday morning on the third Speaker ballot at 10 am ET.
Chairman Jim Jordan so far has failed to secure the 2017 votes to win the gavel. He said he expected a 3rd ballot before huddling with some RINO holdouts in a closed-door meeting.
Per CNN: “The House is expected to hold its next vote for speaker at 10 a.m. ET Friday, Rep. Jim Jordan’s office told reporters.”
“I’m still running for Speaker and I plan to go to the floor and get the votes and win this race,” Jordan told reporters as he prepared to huddle with McCarthy, McHenry and the RINO holdouts.

Jordan reportedly met with McCarthy, Speaker Pro Tempore Patrick McHenry, Lee Zeldin and some of the RINOs refusing to back him for Speaker.
The RINO holdouts are not budging, according to Congress reporters on the Hill.
They are encouraging Jim Jordan to drop out.
“Gimenez, leaving the meeting between McCarthy, McHenry, Jordan and the hold outs, said no minds were changed and that Jordan was encouraged in the meeting to drop out.” Politico reported.
The Republican Caucus was split on whether to support a resolution giving Patrick McHenry power as temporary Speaker.
Earlier Thursday it was reported that Jim Jordan would back McCarthy ally Patrick McHenry as interim Speaker until January.
A couple of days ago former House Speakers John Boehner and Newt Gingrich backed McHenry for interim Speaker.
The resolution to empower McHenry fell through Thursday evening.
