Ron DeSantis Is So Lifeless That He Has Been Declared A Zombie Candidate

A veteran of numerous of Iowa Republican presidential campaigns declared that Gov. Ron DeSantis is a zombie candidate in the state.

The Dispatch reported:
The governor recently secured coveted endorsements from Gov. Kim Reynolds and leading evangelical activist Bob Vander Plaats—about as powerful of a political one-two punch as there is to score in Iowa. And the 21st century is littered with underdog candidates who came from behind, late, to win the Republican presidential nominating caucuses over presumably strong frontrunners. Still, neutral Republican operatives in Iowa are doubtful DeSantis can replicate the recent past.

“They were lucky to get Reynolds and [Vander Plaats] but it doesn’t change the fact that he’s a bad candidate who has underperformed,” said Republican strategist David Kochel, a veteran of several Iowa caucus campaigns who is not supporting a candidate this time around. “I think he’s a zombie candidate at this point. … I just don’t see his path anymore.”

It was a sign of how dead in the water DeSantis is that he went on Fox News to debate Gov. Gavin Newsom with just weeks before the Iowa caucuses. Candidates who in the running to win a presidential nomination usually don’t waste time debating someone who isn’t running in the election.

The DeSantis campaign moved most of their staff to Iowa, but there is no evidence that the move has worked in any way. DeSantis now trails Nikki Haley for second place in the Republican primary field, and Haley or DeSantis are not within shouting distance of Trump.

Rarely has a presidential campaign with so many resources, so spectacularly failed, but that is exactly what Ron DeSantis has done.

3 Greek Island Wellness Destinations for Peak Peace

If a boom-boom beach clubs in Ibiza and Mykonos made their way to your FYP last summer: Same. If you found yourself scrolling through video after video feeling some form of impressed, envious, and exhausted (how does one “no sleep-bus-club-another club” for days on end when it’s 95°F?!): Ditto. These gorgeous Greek islands were among of the most popular places to travel in 2023, and TravelTok made sure we were all well-aware.

We love a travel trend, and nothing—truly, nothing—beats the opportunity to visit Greece at any time of year, for any reason. But there was one thing I found missing from the vast majority of these bouncy, high-energy videos I’d scroll by was the messaging that Greece’s gorgeous, ancient Cyclades islands are the original epicenter of serenity and calm, too.

On a recent overseas adventure, I was lucky enough to discover that the islands of Ios and Santorini are a must-sea (erm, see) for anyone seeking a wellness-focused Mediterranean vacation. And don’t be tricked into thinking summer is your only option! If you and crowded cobblestone streets don’t mesh well—especially when a high-UV index is involved—the magic of Greece in the fall is unmatched. Tons of sun and seafood; complete quiet and serenity.

Here, our favorite Greek island wellness stays in Ios and Santorini—all of which champion sustainability, prioritize peace and artwork, serve five-star farm-to-table Greek cuisine, and provide endless opportunities for you to immerse yourself in silence. (Aside from the sound of the Aegean sea that’s right outside your window.)

Where To Stay in Ios: Calilo

Calilo—located on the island of Ios, which is conveniently between Santorini and Mykonos—is the most well-curated, thoughtful, and unique wellness resort on the planet, and that’s said with zero drop of superlative. Upon seeing it, questions like: Did I create this place in my mind? came to mind immediately.

How to describe. Picture a backdrop of deep blue Aegean ocean tucked between two cliffs, with a luxury resort (carved from the native rock) perched atop an untouched beach. Calilo is cradled by 1,000 acres of protected land and six miles of golden sand and cerulean sea. The sensation of being immersed in warmth, beauty, and nature is omnipresent on Calilo’s property, which is also home to sparkling new spa and fitness center, two top-notch restaurants, a church, and 30 of the most breathtaking suites ever built.

Everything at Calilo is natural; then add dazzling, fantastical.

Water, light, and art are the three central themes of Calilo. The first two come built-in by the location—the property’s owner, Angelos Michalopoulos and his wife Vassiliki Petridou make sure every inch of the land’s rustic, breathtaking beauty is preserved. But the element of artwork is what gives Calilo its dazzlingly fantastical whimsy and feel-good vibes.

“The philosophical mission of Calilo is to offer a product where architecture and art are used to uplift the lives of our guests by providing them with a joyful, positive, carefree, and playfully quaint physical and emotional environment to relax, let their guard down, think less, and feel more,” says Michalopoulos, also a self-taught writer, sculptor, and painter. “During the process of conceptualizing and creating Calilo both as a physical place and an emotional one, the exceptional beauty and emotional intensity of the land pushed us to realize how much we must strive to make life beautiful for others.” Michalopoulos’ artistic vision serves as the soul of Calilo—an apt anagram of the phrase Create a Life You Can Fall in Love with.

Every nook, cranny, couch, tile, teacup, slipper, corkscrew, and otherwise square-inch of Calilo is awe-inducing artwork. Trust: This gem of the Cyclades is setting a new standard for elite travel destinations when it comes to wellness and serenity.

Property highlights:30 suites, each individually designed and featuring sleek marble interiors. Each has its own panoramic sea views and footsteps-from-the-sand beach access, plunge pools, swim-up bars, and romantic day beds.Calilo’s land conservation project has planted over 70,000 trees and bushes around the island of Ios to date restore the habitat that had previously been burned repeatedly by wildfires and deforestation. In addition, the family has invested heavily in the Elektra olive tree project, where they have planted over 550 ancient olive trees they had saved from being sold for wildfire in Athens. Guests can ‘adopt’ and name a tree and follow it throughout its journey of life over the years.Five-star dining features the freshest vegetables, seafood, and fresh fruit from the earth each day. The sky is the limit: Beehives supply honey to drizzle on local goats’ cheese; they produce extra virgin olive oil from their own olive groves. Menu items showcase delicious local Greek specialities, as well as wines and spirits.Immaculate spa features a number of stress and tension-easing treatments that target sleep quality, energy, muscles, skincare, and more.Exercise options abound! Greet the day with a Sun Salutation on the sand, hit the sparkling new fitness center, or take a meditative walk, meandering coastal trails scented with thyme and oregano, before winding down with yoga nidra at the end of the day.Because donkeys are an extinct species in Greece, especially in the Cyclades, Calilo’s owners created an on-site donkey sanctuary dedicated to their preservation. They also have rescued dogs who were affected by the wildfires in Athens.99 percent of the land that Calilo is on is undeveloped in order to sustain Ios’ natural beauty. The land that has been developed has been done so in an environmentally-friendly manner with construction material extracted from the ground of the actual building site including beautiful marble and stone granite.Where To Stay in Santorini: Andronis Arcadia and Andronis Concept Wellness Resort

Santorini is stunning—the white buildings, blue rooftops, and cobblestone streets perched far atop volcanic cliffs and Aegean ocean for days send you. For those seeking a hotel that’s steps away from the center of Oia, Santorini’s sweetheart city, the best-in-class for wellness (and everything else) is Andronis Arcadia.

Arcadia Hotel is the newest addition to the Andronis family of five-star hotels, villas, and retreats in Santorini. Despite its proximity to the many magical shops and restaurants of Oia, Andronis Arcadia is completely secluded and quiet. (All the more paramount when you discover that every suite on the property includes an ocean-facing terrace and private plunge pool.)

Another huge win for wellness here is the amount of space each suite has—the bathroom alone could fit a dozen New York City-sized apartments (says my “NYC math”). And yet: the floor-to-ceiling windows, natural fabrics, and minimalist design all draw the eyes outwards towards the sun and sea. The only challenge you’ll face at Andronis Arcadia will be the task of choosing when to venture out of your room and when to just sit back, relax, and enjoy the view.

Property highlights:Andronis Arcadia is located on the fringe of picturesque Oia, an easy stroll from the village center, but far enough away to ensure peace and privacy. It consists of 119 suites and villas each one with its own private pool, situated to capture the views of the Aegean sea and the island’s unforgettable sunsets.Room includes a Pillow Menu (!)Three massive, gorgeous pools on-site build to cater to adults, kids, and everyone in between. There are two restaurants at Andronis Arcadia. Watching the sun rise at Pacman Sunset Restaurant as you spoon the world’s most exquisite homemade Greek yogurt (topped with local kiwi jam and chia seed granola) is a must. Find more delicious Greek cuisine and gorgeous views on-site at Beefbar Santorini, which faces the caldera and its stunning sunsets.60 percent of the suppliers for food and beverage are small businesses from the island.Eco-friendly car options are available for more environmentally conscious transportation.Andronis Concept Wellness Resort

It’s no secret that Greece is a nation long-recognized for its wellness practices—many of the planet’s longest-living people call the Greek island of Ikaria home. Andronis Concept is a beautiful, immersive expression of why the Mediterranean lifestyle is so closely linked to longevity.

Andronis Concept is nestled on a quiet road in Imerovigli, a smaller city on the island’s coast. The 28 pool suites and villas are built to capture the sunset over the Aegean sea towards the caldera. This place is for peak tranquility and relaxation. While every aspect of Andronis Concept astounds—and a visit to Kallos Spa is a must—the most unforgettable part about your stay here will be the immersive views. Truly: Booking a room here gets you a front-row seat to some of the most scenic parts of Santorini, 24/7.

Spotify shares Wrapped stats as Google purges inactive accounts

After taking a week’s break from this column to focus on Black Friday, we’re back with another edition of Winners and Losers.

You won’t be surprised to hear that much of our attention over the past week was won over by all the Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals. However, there were still a handful of major updates that took place this week that grabbed our attention.

Keep reading to discover who we named our winner and loser this week.

Spotify Wrapped 2023Winner: Spotify

Our winner this week is Spotify after the music streaming app released its Wrapped results for 2023

Spotify Wrapped is Spotify’s annual breakdown of each user’s personal listening history, including your top five most-played artists, songs and albums.

Additional insights added this year include a ‘Me in 2023’ listening character that matches your listening habits, a Sound Town or city where others listen similarly to you and commentary from your own AI DJ.

Wrapped typically drops at the beginning of December, giving each of us a prime opportunity to reminisce on our own year in music as 2023 comes to a close. It’s also common to compare your Wrapped results with friends by posting your stats across social media for followers to see and share their own.

In this way, Wrapped is arguably the biggest marketing opportunity of the year for Spotify and a major feature that keeps subscribers loyal despite competitors like Apple Music and Deezer offering their own end-of-year recaps to rival Spotify’s.

Google About You ResultsGoogle About You ResultsLoser: Google

This week’s loser is more of an inconvenience than anything else, as Google officially began purging accounts that the company considered inactive

Google’s definition of inactive is any account that has been left signed out for two years. This means that if you have any Google accounts that are attached to old email addresses, social media accounts, Google Drives, Google Photos or YouTube that you don’t want to lose, you’ll need to act fast to keep hold of them (if Google hasn’t gotten to them first).

Google first warned of this plan back in May, stating that all content from accounts left inactive for two years will be deleted along with the accounts themselves.

Thankfully, the company is starting with accounts that were created and never used again, so if you’ve been using a dormant Google account to store photos from an old phone or your Google account is attached to an ancient YouTube channel you may still have a chance to save your content.

If you’re concerned you could be at risk of losing an old Google account, our best advice is to sign in ASAP. It’s also a good idea to show Google you’re active by sending an email, watching a YouTube video, downloading an app or conducting a simple Google search.

Tim Allen Reveals Why He Refuses To Watch Violent ‘Ugly Santa Movies’ – ‘I Don’t Like That’

Opinion

The legendary comedic actor Tim Allen, who has long been one of the only openly conservative celebrities in Hollywood, is currently starring in season 2 of the Disney+ series “The Santa Clauses.” In a new interview, Allen is speaking out to reveal why he refuses to watch “ugly Santa movies” that involve “knives and stabbing.”

Allen Slams Violent Santa Movies

“I can’t watch another Santa Claus movie. Especially when they’re bad Santas,” Allen, 70, told The New York Post in a joint interview with his 14 year-old daughter Elizabeth Allen-Dick, who stars with him in “The Santa Clauses.”

“I know there are people that like the ugly Santa movies but sometimes I’m like, ‘Eh, I don’t know if I like bad Santas.’ You know, dressed up with knives and stabbing,” he continued. “I don’t like that.”

Allen first starred as Santa Clause when he played the character of Scott Calvin, who becomes Santa, in the wholesome 1994 movie The Santa Clause, going on to reprise the role in two sequels and the Disney+ series “The Santa Clauses.” When it comes to the more violent Santas, Allen may have been referring to David Harbour and Billy Bob Thornton’s takes on the character in 2022’s Violent Night and 2003’s Bad Santa, respectively.

Allen Is ‘Not Judging Other Shows’

“I’m not judging other shows,” Allen explained. “[But] this started with a director named John Pasquin, who added heart to Scott Calvin. So it wasn’t just a comedy. It really put another layer onto this about his family and about what he is. And as we’ve opened up and answered the questions, it wasn’t a mistake that Scott Calvin was picked.”

“And that Santa, as we find out in last season, he didn’t die when he slid off the roof. He turned back in and they had decided — the legendary figures and the Santa Clause — to turn him into Santa Clause,” he added. “So it’s his personality that is necessary. You needed this guy. Christmas needed this guy. And I love all that. He’s aware of the magic that he’s in. … The magic is there. The humanness is really, really responsive.”

Allen went on to say that showing Calvin’s “emotional” side and “flaws” has played a huge role in the success of The Santa Clause series.

Allen Wants To Put The ‘Christ’ Back In ‘Christmas’

This comes a year after Allen revealed that his goal with “The Santa Clauses” series was to put the “Christ” back in “Christmas,” ensuring that viewers would not forget the reason for the season.

“It originally had a lot of otherworldly characters, and ghosts, and goblins,” Allen told The Wrap of the series in November of last year. “I said, ‘No, this is Christ-mas. It’s Christ-mas. It literally is a religious holiday. We don’t have to blow trumpets, but I do want you to acknowledge it; that’s what this is about.’”

“If you want to get into Santa Claus, you’re gonna have to go back to history, and it’s all about religion,” he continued.

Allen went on to say that the show’s writers had found “a brilliant way” to incorporate religion into the plot.

“It’s really wonderful. They took a chance, and we did it really well,” he added.

God bless Allen for continuing to portray Santa Clause in the best way possible, and to avoid so much of the violence and depravity that has come with the character in other recent Hollywood depictions!

Kathy Griffin Deals With Her ‘Trump-Induced PTSD’ By Meowing Like A Cat, Mooing Like A Cow

Opinion

Source: Screenshot YouTube

The radically liberal comedian Kathy Griffin has spent the past few months claiming that she is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) that stems from the fallout over the 2017 photo that she took in which she posed with the simulated severed head of the then-President Donald Trump.

Now, Griffin has revealed that she has resorted to meowing like a cat and mooing like a cow to try and deal with this alleged PTSD.

Griffins’ Bizarre PTSD Treatment

“It’s when I get on all fours like a kitty cat and then I arch my back and I am instructed by my teacher to say the word meow. I feel like a f***ing fool, but I do it,” Griffin, 63, told Vulture.

“And then I un-arch my back and — wait for it — I ‘moo’ like a cow,” she continued. “PTSD is a b****, and when I get PTSD attacks, I can’t stop vomiting. So if I have to meow like a kitty cat and moo like a cow, I’m gonna f***ing do it.”

Griffin is preparing to embark on her “My Life on the PTSD-List” tour, and though PTSD is a condition that is typically reserved for combat veterans or victims of some kind of violence, the former “Suddenly Susan” star is adamant that she is suffering from it.

“I actually do have PTSD, and I’m laughing because I thought that was only for combat veterans,” she said.

“But apparently if you’re put under investigation by the Department of Justice, and the president wants you to be charged with conspiracy to assassinate the president, and you’re put on the No Fly List, and then your tour is canceled because of bomb threats, and then your phone doesn’t ring for six years, and then you get cancer and lose part of your voice ’cause half of your lung is gone, you gotta laugh about it,” Griffin added.

Griffin was referring to her 2021 battle with lung cancer that resulted in her undergoing surgery to remove half a lung, a procedure that greatly changed her voice.

“I love talking about this stuff, which I know initially doesn’t sound hilarious,” she stated. “Something has happened where it’s almost like America has finally forgiven me or something. All of a sudden, I got a call from the Mirage in Vegas, and they were the first to say, ‘Yes, we want you to do a show,’ and it sold out.”

NEW: ‘Comedian’ Kathy Griffin says she moos like a cow and meows like a cat to deal with her “PTSD” from Donald Trump.

Related: Kathy Griffin Claims She Has ‘PTSD’ From Trump Photo Controversy

Griffin’s Previous PTSD Comments

Griffin first started claiming that she is suffering from Trump-induced PTSD earlier this year.

“What I have found mostly is that it’s so much more common than anybody would think. And luckily, we’re beyond the time when folks think PTSD is straight up just for combat veterans. And that was what I initially thought,” Griffin told People Magazine back in June.

“Luckily, that science has advanced so that it can include someone like me. I was having these panic attacks. And the way they took form in me is like non-stop vomiting,” she added. “I couldn’t figure out: ‘Why am I shaking all the time? Why does everything make me sick to my stomach?’ You know, when you’re barfing, you can’t go anywhere, you can’t do anything, you’re weak.”

Related: Kathy Griffin Runs Back Trump Severed Head Photo After Latest Indictment

Griffin Needs ‘Alternative Remedies’

Griffin went on to talk about how she has gone about treating her alleged PTSD.

“I have a team of people, I finally said, ‘I can’t do this myself.’ I need to have alternative remedies. I have to be in acceptance that this is my new reality. And this is my new voice. And so I’m doing this thing called EMDR,” she said, referring to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing treatment.

“You go back to something traumatic, like let’s say it was my cancer diagnosis. But you work through it in a way where your brain can stop being stuck in the place of going: ‘Oh, my God, I’m gonna die. My career is over, my life is over. I have this horrible new voice that sounds like I’m on helium’ ” she explained. “Then you put it in a new place where you process it and go: ‘Hey, I got booked in Vegas. My career isn’t over.”

It’s insulting to the countless American veterans who are actually suffering from PTSD that Griffin is continuing to claim that she has it because of Trump. She can meow like a cat and moo like a cow all that she wants to, but in the end, Griffin is just continuing to show the world what an unhinged mess of a person that she really is.

Why an Olympic Runner Keeps 6 Pairs of These Versatile New Balance Shoes in Her Closet

When you notice the same running shoe popping up all over your social media feeds, and on the feet of several runners in your community, you gotta figure they’re offering something pretty great. Recently, the New Balance Fresh Foam X 1080v13 seemed to be nearly everywhere I looked, with pretty unanimous love coming from all kinds of runners. Personally, I’d previously tried last year’s model and honestly didn’t love them. They were full of cushion, sure, but to me, it felt like strapping pillows to my feet; I just sunk into them with each step, with almost no bounce. But when I saw so many people singing the praises of the newest version, I decided to check them out for myself.

When I reached out to New Balance, they told me it’s not just everyday, amateur runners who love this shoe. Gabby Thomas, a 26-year-old runner sponsored by New Balance who won bronze in the 200 meters and silver as part of the women’s 4×100 meter relay at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, is also a major fan. So I hopped on a call with her to find out why.

“I tell people: ‘If there’s one shoe in your closet, this should be the one,’” Thomas tells me. That’s because of how versatile it is, she explains. So much so that she keeps six pairs in different colors in her closet. She wears them for her daily walks with her dog, Rico, and to keep her feet comfy on long travel days. She also straps them on to head out on easy runs or for warmups before her track workouts, and even for the longer tempo runs she does during her training for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

New Balance Fresh Foam X 1080v13 — $165.00

Sizes: W 5-13/M 7-16

Lightweight cushion with great bounceVersatile enough for many kinds of runs and walkingOffered in four widths

Cons:

All that cushioning comes in a very thick sole

Shop Now

Why this shoe?

“The soft cushioning I think is a really special and unique part of it,” Thomas says, pointing out that the Fresh Foam midsole is both soft and lightweight while still offering great energy return. “So I can do my longer runs more comfortably, and it has a forefoot stiffness that adds a stability piece.”

Having also worn previous versions of the Fresh Foam X 1080, she points out that this latest model has added stability and structure in the forefoot, offering “a good ratio of softness and stiffness.”

I’ve now taken my pair of the 1080v13s for multiple test runs over the last month, and have noticed the mix of cushion and bounce is really well-balanced—there’s no sinking feeling. They’re plush for sure, but my feet just feel light, and lightly supported in them. And they have exactly what I was missing in the last version: a nice kick that propels me into the next step.

Maybe most impressively, they’re super comfy at a range of speeds. Their soft support makes them an obvious choice for easy runs, but they have enough energy return to perform well when I want to pick up the pace, too. And for just walking around the neighborhood, they feel so natural on my feet I barely notice they’re there.

I’ve recently been fighting off some plantar fasciitis, and while I’ve noticed that certain running shoes make it flare up, I never have a problem with these. A friend with shin splints who wears the 180v13s for her walking commutes around New York City tells me they also keep her shins from aching when she’s racking up miles on the sidewalk.

Thomas mentions that because of her high arches and narrow feet, she usually needs to wear insoles in most running shoes, but she gets by just fine in these without adding one in. It helps that these come in four different widths so you can get a snug fit no matter your foot shape.

I ask Thomas who exactly she’d recommend these shoes to. “They’re for anybody at any level, [no matter] what distance you run, what pace, how often you run, it doesn’t matter,” she says. While some running shoes have a specific purpose, these sneaks are great for just about anything you’re looking for.

House Ethics Won’t Investigate Democrat Jamaal Bowman for Pulling Fire Alarm

Life

Many in Washington said that the Capitol Hill riot that occurred on January 6, 2021 was a threat to democracy and many participants are serving long sentences for it.

But when a member of Congress directly threatens democracy – interrupting a crucial House vote by pulling a fire alarm – those same people don’t seem to think it was a big deal. In other words, Jamaal Bowman, you’re off the hook.

No Investigation

Nearly a month ago, Rep. Bowman pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor charge for pulling a fire alarm in the Cannon House Office Building.

The Democrat appeared to try to stop a House vote to pass a stopgap measure to fund the government before an imminent shutdown deadline.

At the time, Bowman agreed to a plea deal in which he would write an apology to the Capitol Police and pay a $1,000 fine.

And that appears to be it for him.

RELATED: ‘Morning Joe’ Scarborough Admits Ukraine War is Unwinnable – Something He Used to Call ‘Putin Talking Points’

As The Hill reported recently:

The House Ethics Committee said it will not establish a subcommittee to investigate Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-N.Y.), who was charged for pulling a fire alarm in the Capitol ahead of a House vote.

Ethics Committee Chairman Michael Guest (R-Miss.) and ranking member Rep. Susan Wild (D-Pa.) shared the news in a Wednesday statement.

The panel has 30 days after a House member is charged with a crime to decide whether to launch an investigative subcommittee (ISC) and issue a report to the House on the matter.

“Pursuant to Committee Rule 10(a), establishment of an ISC and a report to the House regarding the conduct of a Member both require an affirmative vote of a majority of the Members of the Committee,” the committee said in its news release.

“A majority of the Members of the Committee did not agree to establish an ISC or report to the House regarding Representative Bowman’s conduct.”

Must be nice.

Some ‘Threats to Democracy’ Are Apparently Greater Than Others

The so-called ‘QAnon Shaman’ Jacob Chansley was found guilty of one felony account of obstructing an official proceeding and was sentenced to 41 months in jail, of which he served 27. That’s two years and three months.

That’s quite the fine for what basically amounts to trespassing.

In all, 277 January 6 protesters were put behind bars with the average sentence being about 60 days for supposedly threatening American democracy. None of them had remotely the same power as a member of Congress.

But when Rep. Bowman seemingly directly interrupts a democratic vote by democratically-elected representatives from each state in Congress’s most democratic chamber – the People’s House – he… gets a mere slap on the wrist?

Bowman’s colleagues simply look the other way? They’re just going to pretend it never happened?

That’s it?

Yep.

Again, must be nice.

Mitt Romney Says He Would Vote for Democrats Over Trump or Vivek

Mitt Romney says he would be happy to vote for any of the Republican candidates running for president.

Except Donald Trump and Vivek Ramaswamy. In that case, he’d rather pull the lever for the Blue Team.

The 2012 GOP presidential nominee made his remarks during an interview with NBC’s Norah O’Donnell on the program Person to Person.

‘Maybe Not Vivek’

When O’Donnell asked which candidates he “liked” on the Republican side, Romney replied, “Anybody. You know, I’d be happy to support virtually any one of the Republicans” other than Trump.

Romney then added, “Maybe not Vivek.”

“The others that are running are acceptable to me and I’d be happy to vote for them,” Romney added.

Romney then said he would also be “happy” to support a “number of” the Democrats who are running in the 2024 White House race.

Though he did not name any specific Democrats, Romney said of one possibly winning, “It would be an upgrade from, in my opinion, Donald Trump, and perhaps also Joe Biden.”

Vivek Strikes Back

Ramaswamy, in turn, let everyone know that he believes Romney simply opposes any “America First” agenda more than an actual candidate, and that he didn’t vote for Romney for president in 2012.

Ramaswamy shared on X, “Turns out he’s opposed to America-First itself, not just one man.”

“Newsflash, Mitt: I didn’t vote for you either & I still call on your niece Ronna to resign,” he added.

“Ronna” is current head of the Republican National Committee, Ronna McDaniel, who Ramaswamy had called on to resign during the last Republican presidential debate.

Ramaswamy has said that while he is running against Trump in the GOP primaries, he intends to carry on Trump’s “America First” philosophy as president.

Vivek said he was also not surprised at Romney’s non-support of him or his campaign.

Trump on Romney: ‘Total Loser’

In October, Trump called Romney a “total loser that only a mother could love.”

Trump endorsed Romney’s 2018 U.S. Senate campaign in Utah. In September, Romney announced he would not be seeking re-election for his senate seat in 2024.

Trump would later write on Truth Social, “I am very proud to be the one who forced this Left Leaning RINO out of politics. He wanted to run sooo badly, but knew he couldn’t win in the great State of Utah without my Endorsement and Support, so he QUIT,”

Republican primary polling has consistently showed Trump with a runaway lead over every other candidate including Vivek Ramaswamy.
