When Ethan and Cam met the year before at an underground BDSM club, their connection was intense and immediate. There’s just one small problem-they’re both subs. To work around this, they agree to find their own Doms for play, offering their submission and their bodies to would-be Masters, but leaving their hearts at home. The setup works fine, until the day Ethan meets a hot Dom named Maestro. For the first time, Ethan finds himself keeping secrets from his lover. And Maestro has secrets of his own. Unrequited passion and sizzling hot D/s lead to the three agreeing to a play scene that ends up ensnaring them all in something more powerful than any of them had dreamed of. Can two subs submit to a man who would claim not only their bodies, but their hearts and minds? Or will the intensity of a D/s menage break their world apart?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I liked this book. The premise seemed genuine as did the characters and their journey. While compressed as a time frame as romance novels have to be, the realistic feel of the journey was not compromised; it’s presentation pretty much perfectly executed.
I liked Cam and Ethan as individuals and as a couple, and while both submissives, their honesty as a pair was pleasing to see. I loved Andrew as the Dom they sought to fulfill both individual needs and those of a triad…at least, I loved the idea of him as the Dom. I loved the concept of what he was as a child compared to what he became as a fully realized adult. I loved that he was honest about what he initially wanted but also honest enough with himself to see what he ultimately wanted. Andrew as a Dom, was sensitive to the individual past experiences and current needs of both Cam and Ethan. There was no drama between the three that was not openly and quickly dealt with. Angst free zone here, and much appreciated.
A 4 star rating instead of a 5 was purely from the lack of emotional connection I, as the reader, felt with Andrew. If I thought he was written as such a strong Dom and I liked the unfolding of the tale as it relates to him, why am I not figuratively dropping to my own knees as I read him? I can’t put my finger on it and yet, there it is…
My interpretation is admittedly my own, and I do understand the 5′s that have been awarded. In fact, I believe most readers will, and indeed should, come to a 5 star conclusion.
BOOKS & COZY SPOTS BOOK REVIEWS ~ Jon Black’s Woman by Tilly Greene
JON BLACK’S WOMAN ~ Tilly Greene {Indy}
MF Erotic Romance / Bdsm
Review by Jaycee.
{received a free ARC copy for review; comments and final impressions are honest, and wholly my own}
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
`
Jon Black was part Native American, but that didn’t define him. Being a retired Marine and cowboy who managed his friend’s ranch didn’t either, but they all had a part in making him into a man. Tall, strong and handsome, he was the dream catch for single women and some married ones across a few counties. The dominance he displayed in the bedroom was exciting, hot and pulled even more ladies into his bed, but only one woman struck him silent and ripped his need to the surface—Molly.
An English rose by way of Japan comes to Montana and is everything he wants in his life. Has he finally met his match, his mate for life or is she too much for him to handle?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jon Black is the fourth of Ms. Greene’s western kinkster-heroes to meet his match in her delightful “Branded” series of novellas. While his story can conceivably be read as a standalone, I recommend, if not starting at the beginning of the series, at least going back and filling in the blanks the reader might experience if reading this installment without benefit of the history. In addition to upping the relate-ability factor for Jon’s and Molly’s characters, it is also infinitely more fulfilling to immediately recognize the nuances of scene. Both Jon and Molly do evolve as characters over the series, and yet to some readers, this story in isolation might unfairly come off as implausible spontaneous generation. Now, with that bit of housekeeping behind me…
I have found all of the novellas in this series to be light and entertaining reads with attractive-on-all-levels alpha heroes. What is appealing about Jon in particular is the enigma he initially presents. NEVER present a chick with a mystery; moth to a flame! Period.
Not quite a bad-boy, Jon was perceived as a womanizer, and one with a high kink level to match his hot-bunking reputation. In actual fact, he was a highly spiritual individual and, unseen by the masses who never got close enough, all the greatest needs and comforts in his life were built around, and a nod to, his Native American heritage.
Sign. Me. Up.
His infatuation with and commitment to Molly from the moment he sees her, however he can get her, satisfies the requisite “awwww” factor thoroughly. That she proves to be a match for his predilections, while a foregone conclusion, does provide the final insight into the deeper Jon.
Molly was from an entitled Anglo but emotionally remote upbringing, and yet she was a strong, self-reliant individual who surrounded herself with good people and experiences, and owned her own future in spite of her past. She allowed herself to “experience” Jon to the fullest, and they proved to be a match made in Montana.
I enjoyed the relatively angst-free reads this entire series provided, and while both Jon and Molly probably had the most complicated backgrounds of any of the series’ characters, the progression of their relationship flowed along a perfectly normal and uncontrived course. Their tale also serves to tie up the four intertwined lives of the Bozeman boys…and “ties up” is an apt description. I recommend this book to fill an afternoon on the dock, by the pool, or in front of the fire (current local weather considered) with perhaps a spritzer and a hankering for an uncomplicated but fulfilling love story.
In the second installment of The Back Road to Wonderland … Kayden, our sexy adventurer is betrayed by the King he loves as the lines of good and evil within Wonderland begin to blur. After a period of bondage, will the seeds of madness begin to take its toll on his soul or can a young mysterious man who followed “the bunny” down the rabbit hole show him he can love again and mend his bleeding heart?
Rejoin your favorite characters from Seduction of a King as a dark force is released in the realm of Wonderland. Can an ancient crystal hold the key to Wonderland’s survival? Or will it lead to the lands ultimate destruction?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Madness of a Bleeding Heart is book two in the series The Back Road to Wonderland. This is not a stand-alone book, which is the bad news. The good news is you still have time to get book one of this series The Seduction of a King before this book is released March 22nd. So that means this review may have a few spoilers for book one.
This book takes us to what I think is the darker side of Wonderland. At the end of The Seduction of a King a creature is discovered who is wreaking havoc on the different districts of the kingdom by killing not just the people living there but also some of the Royalty as well. James the King of Hearts and ruler of Wonderland has a plan to find out who this creature is and banish it for good. This is where the intrigue and fun begin. Or should I say continues?
Marcus (Rabbit) has been sent to New York to obtain the amulet and spell needed to accomplish James plan. While he is there he also takes care of some business for the Attah Royal Gentlemen’s Club. Yes this is where it all started but it is no longer a construction site. It is the hottest gay men’s club around. It is almost like a bit of Wonderland in our realm and yes, Marcus takes full advantage of the perks of his position in management. While he is interviewing a potential new dancer for the club…… Oops got side tracked there, back to the review.
When Marcus returns to Wonderland with more than he knows, he seeks out three who can tell him more about the package he is carrying. He knows everything comes with a price more than just monetary and wants to be able to give his step father James, all the information he may need. As you know when asking questions in Wonderland you can get information you’re not sure what to do with or more information than you bargained for.
We also find out more about the rift between James, the King and Kayden, the Hatter. What really happened after James betrayed Kayden. I will let you know Kayden never made it home. He was given to one of the sadistic Dom’s of the dungeons, Cronos. He was the one who was training him and a few of the other young men for a life of servitude in one of the Leather Clubs of the Onyx District. Welcome to one of the dark sides of Wonderland.
This is all of the detail I will give on this great continuing story from David Metheny. You are going to have to read the rest. Trust me you are not going to want to miss one twist or turn of this story. David has put what I believe is some thought into his plot and character development. You may even find yourself stopping and rereading parts to make sure you get all the details just because you didn’t see that coming.
David also has perfect timing not only in his story but for releasing the next segment. You will only have to count down the days until summer to get the third installment of this wonderful series. You may want to keep an eye on David Metheny to see what other stories and characters he has running around his head and heart. Enjoy!!

NO GIRLS ALLOWED CLUB – Society’s way of thinking… still.
NO GIRLS ALLOWED CLUB – Society’s way of thinking… still.
There is a fresh log in the hearth today about women authors in the Gay and MM fiction genres. Not the first time it has come up, but at least it’s not a ‘burn at the steak’ roast this time, just some debate to muzzle over self-pride and who has claim to the genre between women authors and the actual gay male authors.
And I can see it from both ends, I really can, because I have one advantage most women don’t have. My twin brother, Talon ps was gay and while some may not get the relation, it’s like this: No one in your life is as close to you as twins are with each other. We share everything. We grew up with the same issues, same environment, same favorite foods, music, vacation trips, and detention hall. We even shared the same taste in boys. We also got bullied and beat up a lot as kids, teens. Even as young adults the fights didn’t seem to subside much, we just got better at defending ourselves. But, I will share this with you; when Talon got jumped for being gay, so did I. He did not, however, get bullied as I did just for being a girl.
So when a gay man says: “My life sucked, or its hard sometimes being gay.” Yeah, I know, it’s not any better being a girl. In fact, sometimes it’s worse, because even among gays, women are not equally accepted. Because we are subjected by the very same ‘sociatic’ ridicule as we get from the main stream.
Through history of mankind, the ‘wo’ part has always been missing. Womankind have always been shut out, shunned, demoralized, suppressed and disregarded in all aspects of the male driven society. From not being allowed to own property, vote, work, go to school. Even in the ‘more civilized’ societies, women were not welcomed members. We were there for bearing children, darning socks, cooking supper and make themselves availed to the man’s needs when he beckoned. Yet, they were not allowed to have a part in a Shakespearian play because society didn’t think they were competent enough to learn their lines.
Louisa May Alcott used a nom de plume to impersonate as a man under the name A. M. Barnard. As did many female writers in the 19th Century: Mary Ann Evans wrote under the name George Eliot; Karen Blixen was published under the name Isak Dinesen, and Victoria Benedictsson under the name Ernst Ahlgren, in order to get their writings published, because publishers refused to even look at anything written by a woman outside of poetry. One of Alcott’s first works was turned down being called absolute ‘rubbish’ when she attempted to submit it under her true name. But then later resubmitted the same manuscript short story under a man’s name, it was rated as pure ‘genius’, and she continued to receive requests for more.
In general, Women easily relate with gay men, because we are hated for something we have no control over, nor can we escape it. Sure, a few have tried, by means of cross dressing or full on surgical and hormonal treatment, but guess what… they are still hated, for they left being hated as a female to become hated as a transgender ‘freak’. I can only imagine the pain a male transgender feels thinking that they would find peace after finally completely the journey from male body to female to match the soul inside, only to discover women are treated with as much distain or discrimination as he had when he started out just being not quite right inside. And with the understanding, there is also envy. Woman often envy gay men, because while we both share similar hardships they have something we don’t have and can never have. Sexual freedom. We’d like to think we can, maybe even try it on for size, but what we give ourselves permission to have is not going to change everyone else’s reaction to us. For women: sexual freedom means being labeled loose, whore, tramp or competition.
Even today, a woman can’t go about her life in quite the way she might wish to without getting judged for it. Not even in the ‘safe places’ {to borrow a term from another author who recently blogged on the topic of female authors in the MM genres and perhaps a few leaking into gay fiction}. To give an example of this: I went as a reader to my very first GRL convention in Atlanta last year and one of the authors {female and very popular} was dressed up for the evening party. Very sexy and her confidence even more dramatic. And in her right she should be, she is a beautiful woman and was among friends, jazzed up for the night looking sexy, and her date equally so. And he apparently agreed, because they shared some PDA out on the dance floor. But then so did several of the gay couples. So who cares, right? Well, want to know what clicked in my head as she walked by, I thought, someone is going to say something nasty. I saw it in the eyes of others watching as I did as she and her beau strolled by hand in hand for the dance floor or back to their table. And I felt bad about it, for her. Not because I judged her {I didn’t}, but because I knew others would {had}, and just knowing it would happen sickened me. Because even in the safe place, I saw women really didn’t have one. And sure as shit, a week after everyone was back home from GRL, that very author posted a rant on her wall to stand up for herself against some nasty gossip that had apparently been passed around. One more time I felt sick, because while I never heard any of the actual gossip {I’m not a member of the crowd} or what was said, I had been a witness to the starts of what was to come, and ‘Society’ didn’t fail to keep up the continuum of suppressing women.
While women authors may be dominating the genre, what I don’t see is any of them wearing the instant crown of popularity. I have seen a number of guys, pop up and get fanfare and stardom just for saying: “I’m writing a book and I’m gay.” The crown comes complete with instant support from all the big name authors, plus invites to blog sites and street team. The girls don’t get that. A female author first has to get pasted the wall of other disgruntled females, get passed the cat fight mosh pit just to make the running order, then befriend the leaders of the pack and hope the advice you got wasn’t deceitfully intentional to make you fail.
So when I hear about another Gay male Author venting about women authors in his genre. I tend to take it with a numb reaction. I don’t deny how he feels, my twin was the same way at times. With me be the exception. {I always was}
But, is it true we don’t belong there?
I supposed it is no more true or false that we don’t belong in anything else either. I understand wanting to have something ‘of our own’. Problem is, women can’t have that because we are also programed by this perverse rule that centuries of female suppressed societies have drilled into us, we can’t and won’t even accept each other, {cat fights will ensue their regularly scheduled intervals}.
But is it really just about us not being gay men that upsets the gay men of authors, or just more of the ‘no girls allowed club’ mentality? I don’t know, maybe its 50/50, maybe I don’t care either way. I sometimes write MM, I’d rather think I was more in the gay fiction than MM, because I’m not that good with romance, my twin was. He had a better out take on life than I do. But regardless, it’s not all that I write. I love Post-Apocalyptic Dark Fantasy. I suppose I will get a lot of flak for that genre too when the time comes, because I’m a girl.
So if you are a gay man who write gay fiction or gay romance and you’re not sure you like all the female authors in your genre, I just want to say with all sincerity: Sorry for spoiling your ‘No Girls Allowed Club’. I suppose it never occurred to any one of us that we would be excluded from those who are also excluded from society’s tolerance.
I am in no way implying that being female is worse than the hardships gay men have gone through. HARD IS HARD. I just wanted share that, its sucks being female {most of the time} too.
My respects and gratitude to the following authors for sharing their opinions without bashing in their blogs on this topic. They are well worth the visit to read: {Not to forget mentioning they are also all exceptionally talents authors}

the Ramblings of a writer ~ Editing Hell
So it wasn’t but a few days ago, I get an email from Author Brynn Stein to remind me I am scheduled to come hang out at his place on the 3rd… {which has been duplicated here, because the gifs didnt work out too well at his place, and coincidently I also discovered Brynn is a ‘she’. Who’da thunk? We’d never met before until now, but we laughed it up and decided to keep this rant of mine as is making it even a little more funnier}. No on to explain why my guest blog turned into a writer’s rant…
…this was exactly what my first reaction was. Because in all honesty, I had no idea I had even made the cut to come crash the party. Brynn, of course, in his ‘reminder’ for the date I wasn’t prepared for, was wonderful in offering himself to help out with suggestions. Such as, if I wanted to share a new or coming soon release, or do an interview, etc… about the only thing he didn’t offer was a male review lap dance…
I know, right? The nerve of some men.
Anyhoo, I had none of these glorious suggestions he made, prepared. I am up to my eyeballs, drowning in editing hell, and nowhere near getting a new book out for neither myself and for my twin, Talon ps {shhh, do NOT repeat that too loud… or the mop of Talon fans will come after me L it wont be pretty}; Now while interviews can be fun and useful when the audience knows they are getting a peek of the internal gears of an author they like…. but Me? I am the author ‘whoopy’ for a fan of 1. So what was I to do?
Brynn, of course, completely understood the editing ‘nightmare’ phrased as hell and offered to put me on the back burner until I was ready…
Oh, no you don’t, Honey child… ain’t nobody standing me up. You made a date and we’re on.
First… how’s the humor over there? His response was: “It’s good…”
Let’s just hope its ^ this ^ good. Because todays lesson boys and girls is about EDITING HELL.
Yes, that’s right…. if you {blog readers present} were mirroring Mr. Rogers’ sentiments just now at my suggestion of talking about editing, then you, my friend, are an author, and you know exactly where I am coming from. Nevertheless, even if you did not pull out your pet, Bird of Finger, for show-n-tell, make no bones about it… it ain’t fun. But while I have been in the never ending vortex of literary repair, I have learned that many readers don’t entirely get how complicated and frustrating that can be. {The sympathy for me was lacking on my facebook, which drew me to this conclusion} Though, many readers, {especially book reviewers}, have no short comings about pointing the lack of editing out if you missed more than one type-o or over embellished the defining stretch of a synonym.
Now let me just first say… it is Hard, as in, not even the good nine-inches-of-iron-flesh-good kind of hard {sorry, I was not allowed to insert a gif for this visual} to find an Editor that’s right for you. Magic words there –right for you– because never mind the grammar stuff, that’s a given fix to be had. But first, you really need someone who enjoys your genre &/or can get into your writing style{voice}; as part of your editor’s job is to make sure your ‘style’ doesn’t come across as pig-latin to the readers. And writers, lose the ‘but it’s my stpry’ bit. You can have the next best thing, but if you aren’t getting what’s in your head transcribed into digital words with enough clarification…. tt won’t matter. By the way, if your editor is condemning you to the bowels of humanity {true story} because your protagonist exacted revenge on the killer of her daughter and still got to go to heaven to be with her lost child, instead of being condemned of her sins… well then that Editor may not be the editor for you. It’s just a thought. And this is often the same reaction we writers of Erotica or MM fiction {of any subgenre} become faced with…
Soooo … you wrote a book. WHOOHOO! Give yourself a pat on the back.
Now comes the hard-hard part… succumbing to the Grammar Nazi of Doom. However, in truth, the Vulcan Grammar Nazi IS and will FOREVER BE your best friend, but that doesn’t mean they are going to make life easy for you. Mine and Talon’s certainly won’t, she refuses to follow me around and edit my facebook posts, I couldn’t even get her to look at this… because while I am in editing hell, so assuredly is she. So ignore my dyslexia errors, {which includes but not limited to: flipped letters, flipped homonyms and other randomness when my brain and hands are trying to do their own thing despite each other – blame them}
And in your search for the right editor, you may find yourself going through a number of them. In a time where self-publishing seems so easy {at first glance}… so is picking up the self-entitlement of being an Editor. Some just don’t cut the mustard while others can just tear you apart.
However, persevere in your search, because what you are attempting to avoid is a reader reaction like this…
And hopefully somewhere along the gains of reader fans, a little something way more fun and appreciative will find you and love your books:
Still, even if a crowd of screaming girl-fans is a little more than your expectations, even a quiet reaction like this would be great, right?
Moving along, somewhere down the road you find your match, {insert ‘Match Maker’ tunes} and you convince them to take you in and do the ugly work you can’t seem to see or just refuse to face the reality that you are not as perfect as you think you are… talented yes… but then you already know the whole story. Now comes the test to ensure that so will your readers and it often sounds something like this…
By the way, sweet sentiments and chocolates don’t seem to have any lasting effect on editors. It’s as if they were immune… “I lurves joo…”
NOW after a week or two of waiting {miserably}, you get your edited file back {which aside from looking somewhat like a Pride Parade of editor notes, may be the first of many rounds to come} and the whole process there after goes something like this:
Then you might be apt to send a venting response to your editor that reads remotely like this:
After some pressure release…
And some well worth-the-time, assing-off on Tumblr to avoid doing what you know you are supposed to be doing… your editing adventure starts to take on a more focused and hands-on involvement of your story’s development {**passes the tissue box to Brynn** I didn’t mean THAT kind of hands-on, besides ^he’s^ mine… I found him first}.
Now where was I? Oh yeah, boxers or briefs… no no, editing, we were talking about editing and you’re…
Are you crying? There’s no crying in Editing!…
But there is a good chance of showers this day and believe me when I say, its best to stay clear for a day or two because there is more reaction to come… ones of this continuing sort of nature:
The best thing to do is to just get it out of your system. Because soon after, a friend… a hubs… most likely though, it will be your beloved editor, {you do to love them, stop saying that}, as they are well aware they just stomped all over your baby, and depending on the level of chocolate and warm-fuzzy-thought immunities that ail them, you’ll get one of the following two reactions…
Or perhaps both; in order to pull you out of your grief stricken collapse and get on with the crafting of your extraordinary story. {incedently, the rolled up newspaper smarts}
Alas, the moment comes when the boot-camp suffering has paid off; when you finally look at your editor and Bestie {sometimes they are one and the same}, with a bit of lingering trepidation…
It’s often the same feeling as stage fright. After all, you have gone through ‘Editing Hell’ so that your readers get to become immersed in your world for just a moment.
A time of the day when page flipping becomes a physical endurance sport.
But, DO NOT, dear, dear, wondrous mage of words, forget the pain and suffering you put yourself through for them. For in the next book, you will get to exact your revenge on your readers, and as Alfred Hitchcock often said…
ABOUT THIS AUTHOR
Princess so and her twin, Talon ps love to torment their editor with a nefarious world of foreign-lang, slang, local dialect, stretched/outside-of-the-box definitions, and have even been known to throw in some con-lang at times. This, of course, is all thrown in there with the dyslexia soup stock they both suffer from that makes editing with them a joy {joy: n see mental illness}. But the final product comes out as richly detailed holographic worlds of Paranormal, Sci-fi, and Gay/MM Erotic Romance; War-time Romances; and along with Prin’s favorite works of Post-Apocalyptic Dark Fantasies.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Brew Lloyd, openly gay, returns to his hometown of Noble, Nevada, to live in his parents’ home while they travel to see his dying uncle. Brew’s been gone since graduation, avoiding his gay-hating father, yet all the while taking the money offered to him almost as a bribe from his father for not accepting him or his sexual orientation. Upon his return, his lawyer-father maneuvers him into securing a summer job at a ranch called The Chase. There, Brew finds himself face-to-face with an old fantasy—the rancher’s son Chase, former football hero at the local high school, a soft-spoken and dynamite-looking young man.
Chase has struggled with his sexuality for years, and has shunned dating in favor of staying on the ranch. Unable to come to terms with his frequent fantasies of a young man he’d secretly admired in high school, Chase pours his emotions into hidden erotic writing. But now, when he sees Brew again after many years, he’s forced to confront his hot desire for the glib guy who’s not shy about his own sexual preference.
As these two men grow closer, two other men stand in their way. The first is a federal agent, who taunts Chase with the news that part of the ranch is being reclaimed by the BLM, the agency that owns most of Nevada’s rangeland and mining concerns. The other man is Brew’s lawyer-father, who’s been helping long-distance in the fight against the BLM, and who cannot guess that his own son Brew is having an affair with a manly ex-football player.
Can two sensuous young men expose the crooked federal agent, cope with a hateful parent’s prejudice, and still find unbridled joy together?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Chase is a great story. As I read the story it was more of a cross between a contemporary and western. You have Brew Lloyd who is the son of one of the towns’ best lawyers and Chase Grayson who is the son of one of the ranchers and mine owners. Being in a small town the young men did know of each other but didn’t hang out in the same groups. Brew was a couple years behind Chase. He was into the arts in school he performed in the school plays, was on the debate team and is openly gay. Chase was the football hero. He worked the ranch and partied with his friends. Unlike his friends he didn’t chase the girls. He was fascinated with a vision of a male form with elusive dark eyes. Two different lives but they did have one thing in common, the dream of the one person who could make them happy.
After graduation Chase stayed on the ranch his father owned, the Chase Ranch and Mine. He and his father Roy Grayson worked the two thousand acres by themselves taking care of the land, cattle and the up keep of the mine. The mine is an old silver mine. They don’t work the mine it is more of a family keep sake, part of their land and history. Which someone is trying to take from them. Someone has filed a claim with the BLM stating they actually own the mine. So Roy contacted his old friend Cranley Lloyd to help him out with this problem.
After Brew graduated he left town to go to school and live a happier life in LA. But now he finds himself back in the small town he left knocking on his own front door. He has returned at the request of his father. Well if you call being reminded of where the money you’re given for tuition and playing comes from a request. Brew actually considers the money more a bribe than a gift. After all his father basically abandoned him when he found out his only son was gay. Cranley Lloyd didn’t physically abandon his son. He let the friendship and love disappear from their relationship. This leaves Brew a little bitter. So while he is watching the house for his parents while they are gone for a family emergency. He lets his dad know he really can’t stay long. He needs to get back to LA for a possible job.
But as we know the best laid plans of mice and men often have a wrench tossed in them. Brew now finds himself sitting across from Roy talking about a job helping on the ranch. It seems with the legal troubles Roy can use some help with the daily chores. As Brew is trying to figure a way out of this Chase enters the room. Now as memories of Chase from his high school days enter his mind all he can think is when do I start. Chase on the other hand is now confronted with the man with the elusive dark eyes of his dreams.
Now the fun and intrigue start. The fate of the Ranch and Mine, our two young men, their future and the relationship between fathers and sons are all at stake. Small towns have a lot more excitement than people think.

Entomology grad student Adam Ellery meets Denver Rogers, a muscle-bound hunk of sexy, when Denver effortlessly dispatches the drunken frat boys harassing Adam at the Tucker Springs laundromat. Thanking him turns into flirting, and then, much to Adam’s delight, hot sex over the laundry table.
Though Denver’s job as a bouncer at a gay bar means he gets his pick of geek-sexy college twinks, he can’t get Adam out of his head. Adam seems to need the same rough play Denver does, and it’s damn hard to say no to such a perfect fit.
Trouble is, Adam isn’t just shy: he has obsessive compulsive disorder and clinical anxiety, conditions which have ruined past relationships. And while Denver might be able to bench-press a pile of grad students, he comes from a history of abuse and is terrified of getting his GED. Neither Denver nor Adam want to face their dirty laundry, but to stay together, they’re going to have to come clean.

An excellent story. An excellent love story. An excellent story about human nature; the good, the bad, the ugly and the triumphant.
Upon introduction, one would think young Adam was a twisted maze of insecurities locked in a mind that would not let him free, he was, in truth, one of the strongest characters I’ve ever read. I cannot conceive of his daily struggles or his consigned future; I would be half the human being he was, were I in his mind.
Though one would think Denver was a mountain of a man both in stature and in character, he said it best himself; just because he looks big outside doesn’t mean he doesn’t sometimes feel small inside.
It was often painful to watch Adam struggle with himself, with his issues and with those in his life: his non-support mechanism. While he had adapted in his life and got by quite admirably, it was beautiful to watch him come to accept himself with the help of a genuine human being like Denver.
Thank you, Ms. Cullinan, for a touching, often poignant story that is simply about two people who, in the end, love each other unconditionally. And for providing insights I did not realize about OCD; its extent, its true claws, and of the strength those who suffer it truly possess.
Better informed; better person…
