Good day Ladies and Gentlemen, and welcome to Talon’s peaCOCKing fence. Where today Author Holly S. Roberts was thrown under the bus by her Tour manager who gets to remain anonymous, because we don’t know her name or we would totally cough it up. **grins** However, ratted out or not Lisa has been dragged into my Mad Mad way of conducting this friendly interview and share the roost with my special guest. >> And is it true you are a writer of *wegs eye brow* naughty (romance) things?
To begin with, it’s hard to speak coherently when bondage makes me horny. *Squirms* I’ll leave it at that.
>> Where were you on the night Colonel PeaCOCK, got laid with the candlestick (that’s California talk for boytoy) in the billiards room?
I’ve deleted my made up answer twice because my New Year’s resolution is to tell the truth whenever possible… I watched from an outside window and had no idea candlesticks could do that but I can’t wait to try it.
>> Everyone knows I’m a rule breaker. And for me Fantasy is a huge format to explore that. However, for some writers they can’t bring themselves to break some Taboos, out of fear, it will act as a reflection of their real life. What about you? What are some of the Taboos you just find irresistible in the fiction world. Are there some Taboos you won’t venture into, even in the fantasy world?
Umm, anal. Anal play, anal sex, anal fantasy, anal beads, anal… Wait, what was the question? Taboo, oh right, yeh, I don’t like that… much.
>> If you could truly escape the everyday life and live inside one of your books, which one would it be and what character would you play?
My work in progress is always my favorite until edits come back. I should have edits back on Strike tomorrow if you release me from this damn chair. I have an erotic vampire novella coming out in an anthology in early March titled Kept. Since the edits are finished and I can love the story again, I want to go to war with werebeasts and find a hot vampire lover to dampen my panties. So, I’d be Sergeant Kelly Myers. She’s one badass chick.
>> If life is like a box of chocolates, what flavor is your favorite book?
Melted, gooey, and running over a hard unmentionable man part.
>> You just finished a hard writing crunch and well… you’d probably be feeling good if it weren’t for the fact your eyes are cross-eyed, your fingers ache, your wrist feels like it’s on backwards and your butt feels like a flat tire. What’s your secret weapon for unwinding from all that?
Red wine, chocolate, and the Jacuzzi with my husband. We’ve toasted the completion of every book I’ve written there.
>>Okay, hypothetically speaking (for book research of course) what is your favorite sexual position or sex-play? (Remember, this is purely hypothetical *winks*)
Definitely toy-gasm. Blindfold me and have some fun, I have quite a few to choose from.
>> Fact or Fiction: Tell us the craziest place, timing or position you… errr… your characters have ever done it. And then tell us the real truth…
You know, I don’t think my characters do it outside their home/yard or in my Club books add Club El Diablo. I’ll need to change that! But, don’t tell anyone and I’m only answering to get out of this chair. I once did a sexual act with my husband on the side of Camelback Mountain in Phoenix, AZ. It was back in our twenties. Because you brought it up, I need to ask him if he remembers.
>> Is there a support group for people addicted to your books?
Actually, there is, kind of. I write paranormal romance under the name D’Elen McClain . Twenty-two (at last count) of the most amazing readers on earth are known as D’Elen’s Divas and have fun in a closed Facebook group. They read all my books (both names) and spread the word everywhere they go. There’s also an open Facebook group “Fang Chronicles” if over the line kinky isn’t quite your thing and you just want to discuss the latest greatest books by many authors. Both groups help me name my characters, gripe at me to Facebook less and write more, and love to share their ideas and fantasies.
>> As an author of erotica, do you find you are more of a sex expert then say, some talk show sex experts? And could you give us a sample of advice?
In my side job, I’m a semi-retired sex crimes detective. So yes, I think I’m more qualified than most. CONSENSUAL! That’s my advice end of story.
>> I spend so much time at home writing, I hardly ever get out of the house. So my characters are my closest friends. Has your family caught on to the fact that when you talk about so and so at the dinner table that it’s really just one of your characters and not the guy next door?
I wish I had a guy next door that looked like one of my characters. I’d most definitely leave my house more often and wander around the block. No, I talk about gory homicides and things like that. I’m a real table treat.

Commando, this is one of the baseball picks that inspired Reed from Strike.
>> Let’s face it, life can be hysterical. And as story tellers, we get ideas from the craziest things. Whether it be a song, a book, a movie, something someone said or you just happened to be lucky as hell to have witnessed something. What’s the craziest thing you ever came cross that spurred you head long into a new story? And where is it hiding now?
Um no, I’m not will to divulge that quite yet. *looks down at shackles knowing I blew it*
>> The kids, family and the neighbor’s dog are gone. It’d be a holiday man and you’ve planned a naughty orgy. Which of your naughty writer friends have you invited? And who’s on top? And when will we see that book?
Ava Von, author of the Wunder Series if she brings her husband, yep he’s hot and so is Ava. Next, Cari Silverwood, Sorcha Black, and Leia Shaw, authors of Badass Brats. The problem is they’ll argue who’s on top to death so I’m topping and they need to get over it. Now that this storyline is in my head, I’ll start writing and get it out ASAP.
>> And before I release you from your bonds is there anyone you would like to throw under the bus **clears throat** I mean, you would like to see here as our next guest?
The authors in the last question are crazy and the perfect victims, ah, guests for your interesting hospitality.

Good morning all! Good morning Princess SO! *hugs and tickles* I haven’t been here in ages. I really appreciate your having me. I’ve got a gorgeous new cover to share and an advance copy to give away. *sips coffee* For those in the audience who don’t know me, I’m Lee Brazil, author of m/m romance, and proud member of the Pulp Friction organization.
That’s what brings me here today.
What’s Pulp Friction? Well you might ask! It is about the most complicated undertaking I’ve attempted recently. 4 Authors, 4 series, 20 books, one fiery finale.
See, Laura Harner, Havan Fellows, Tom Webb and I create an interlocking web of mm romance serial fiction that culminates in a single story. Last year we took on Atlanta, and this year we’re moving into Flagstaff.
I followed a character I created, who kind of got nudged out of what was supposed to be his primary role last year.
Cannon Malloy, neurosurgeon, was supposed to be Chance DuMont’s partner. Things just didn’t work out that way. He was, as they say, too late to get the worm. *blinks* Er…early bird gets the worm, right? So being late, by about five years, means Cannon gets no worm. Not that I’m saying Chance was a worm, though I hear some people *coughs* called him a variety of names during his interactions with Rory Gaines, who turned out to be the genuine love of his life.
Well, since I allowed Rory to steal Cannon’s love, I figured I had to give him a second chance *hehe. See what I did there?*
So Cannon picks up and moves to Flagstaff to get away from a memory of a love he really can’t have (among other things)…and that’s when the snow starts falling. Which makes this gorgeous cover absolutely perfect.

“Out of the gloom, I saw a tall man coming toward me from behind the bar, at last – the bartender! I felt him stop in front of me and without glancing up from digging in my purse for some money, placed my order. The man cleared his throat, I looked up and caught my breath. My god what a gorgeous man! Tall, about six foot four, with a honed physique (every muscle defined under his thin white t-shirt), thick, blue-black hair pulled into a ponytail and blue eyes, the color of deep water – maybe royal blue or indigo, glittering mischievously at me. Wow, immediate sparks.
The bartender said, “Lady, I think you are in the wrong establishment. I would prefer that you leave before there is any trouble.” I looked at him, then scanned the room as well as I could in the twilight. I replied, “Look, mister. This is 1970 and ladies go where they choose. And this lady would like a double rum and coke, double-quick.”
He glared at me and said dangerously, “My name is Shaw, not mister. I own this bar, and I can damn well invite you to leave.” Sharply he yelled, “Ben – get your ass over here and escort this ‘lady’ out, please.” In the background, I could swear time stood still.
And I also heard, “Stupid haole moe ipo,” rough translation, stupid white slut. Ohhhh, that pissed me off!
To hide my embarrassment, I said nonchalantly, “Well, now, Shaw, I’m sorry if I somehow got off on the wrong foot with you, but I’ve been taking care of myself for a long time, and I normally don’t cause problems. So, how about that drink?”
Shaw stopped, looked at me sharply, waved Ben off and grim-faced, made my double rum and coke. He brought it around the counter and leaned next to me, a little closer than I care for, and replied, “This bar can be a dangerous place, a lot of merchant seamen on leave come in here, not to mention soldiers and sailors on R & R, along with some druggies and a smuggler or two – all really horny – and they’d love to have a taste of a babe like you.”
“Isn’t that so, Kam?”, he directed to the white haired Hawaiian at the other end of the bar, who nodded emphatically.
“I just don’t want to see you hurt. With that body and face of yours, you will undoubtedly attract attention, probably the kind you don’t want. And, I’m busy and don’t have time to worry about you.”
