NEW RELEASE !! Their Plane From Nowhere by Princess so – Meet Hank Grisset

 

 

Hell’s Fire, those of you folks that were visiting our last stop when Earl was telling you about our story, I just want you to know, he’s got it all wrong there thinking ya’ll folks ain’t interested in no hunk grizzly bear like Earl. I mean come now, what’s not to like? I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling just a might warm and fuzzy on the inside as I am on the outside when I get anywhere near my very own Paul Bunyan Bear. And all that salt ‘n pepper hair? Mmmm… my da-dunk-a-dunk is getting excited.

Anyhows, I’m Hank Grisset and this growling goodness next to me is Earl Knox. Like Earl was tellin’ ya the other day, we’ve been together for a while now. Thing is though, it ain’t been one of those romancy types that’s all tied up and perdy in a bow kind of relationship. But I’ll take every bit of what I can, cause I know his heart belongs to me. But this plane stuff… I don’t know what’s going on and it ain’t my fault for not telling him, it’s just… well, it does stuff, and I don’t know how to ‘splain it really. ‘Sides, Earl’s youngest, Leanne, just had her first baby last weekend. Earl’s first grandbaby girl. And well that plane down at the docks didn’t seem all that important at the time, but with everything else that’s about to fly up in our faces after Earl makes the big move, that there plane might turn out to be a little more important than we thought.

I’m a city girl. I’ve never been into cowboys and horses. I’ve never been into adventures, period. But when the smooth-talking, gorgeous cowboy with the chiseled jaw I met at the rodeo turned out to be a champion bullrider, I accepted his invitation to go for a walk. That walk turned into a night I’ll never forget.

If you’re looking for a fun, hot short story this is one you should check out. This story has a contemporary meets western feel for me. What girl hasn’t had the fantasy of riding off into the sunset with the cowboy of her dreams? It starts with your first western movie or maybe it was one of those sexy country singers but nothing beats your first rodeo.

Brandy Wynne has given us a well written story with lovable characters. Jackie is a city girl through and through. Living in Texas she has seen more than one want to be cowboy and she is not impressed. When her friend Sarah talks her into going to her first rodeo then leaves her alone at the bar overlooking the arena she can’t believe it. Jackie also can’t believe the guy who just walked up to the bar. A want to be cowboy wearing a faded red western shirt and jeans, are those chaps bright blue with fringe? This night just keeps getting better and better.

Kick back, relax and enjoy. Also don’t be surprised if you find yourself googling for a rodeo near you. *wink*

“How’s it all goin’ for you folks? My name is Earl, Earl Knox and this here fuzzy blond bear next to me is Hank Grisset. Don’t be eye-ballin’ him too hard, he’s mine and he’s already a right mess to live with as it is. He’s just too damned cute for his britches. And them’ll be coming off just as soon as we get done here ‘cause this old grizzly needs to fill get his Hankerings. But first, we’re here to tell ya’ll about our story. It’s the derndest thing too. Ya see, me and Hank, we’ve been together for some time. But lord do help him ‘cause he’s had to put up with another anchor in my life that has also kept as apart. Right up until now. See, we live up in the Poconos, and most folk know everyone around here, except they didn’t know me and Hank were anything more than just buds. We learned real quick, coming out in a small town can erase friendships in a heartbeat. But that’s not what this story is really all about. It’s about this plane that just showed up out on the lake at our dock one day and well… **chuckles** … well she does an interesting trick that gets us both a little buggered. I can’t tell you about it just yet, it’d spoil the surprise. I know, I know, I don’t much like surprise myself either. But Hank here… well, you can just blame him if you want. He’d done it to me first. Just let me warn you, Hank and me, we’re not young cubs. While Hank to me look good enough to nibble on. But for those of you who like looking at tem young studs on those internet sites and Yeah I know which ones, me and Hank look too, but we’re both big boys with considerable fuzzy stuff, not a razor in the house. But if you don’t mind meaty lumber jacks and love a good mystery, you’re sure to like this story about us and our plane from nowhere.

In their small town in the Pocono Mountains, Earl Knox and Hank Grisset have never been considered among the pretty ones to anyone but each other. As lucky as Hank and Earl consider themselves to have found each other, that’s about as far as luck has gone. All those Could’ah— Should’ah— Would’ah— moments a man never sees comin’, but that don’t stop him from regrettin’ them later in life.

When Earl makes a life changing decision that ultimately outs him and Hank, a mysterious plane shows up at their lake house. Coming out in a small town can erase friendships in a heartbeat. But, when a rift in the family leads to a life threatening accident, only their devotion to each other is gonna get them through this; that and their plane from nowhere.

Great story! Their Plane From No Where has a little something for everyone. It takes place in a beautiful setting, the Pocono Mountains. A lake house sitting on four acres with a lake complete with a dock for your boat, or mysterious plane. Two hard working men, who have lived, loved and lost. This is the perfect setting for a little mystery, suspense and love.

Hank’s Uncle William left him the lake house when he left this world. He knew about Hanks relationship with Earl, he was one of the people who didn’t have a problem with it. I think William knew Hank and Earl would need a place where they could be who they were, two men in love. A place to get away from the hands life had dealt them. After all twenty years or so ago their relationship was unacceptable. Thank the gods times are a changing and so is Hank and Earls life.

Earl has just experienced one of the best moments in life one can have. At the same time he is thinking it is not all it could’ah, should’ah and would’ah been if one other person had been there. Earl makes a choice and you know with choices come consequences. It may not be just his life with Hank that suffers these consequences. They do say that hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Although scorned is really not accurate she knew about Earl and made her own choices. Now Earl’s wife isn’t the only woman throwing a fit and trying to destroy him. Hank and his family may be the only hope Earl has now.

Grab a beverage, get a blanket, curl up on your couch and enjoy!

Oh there is a wonderful bonus in this book that may have you taking a few moments then re-reading this story again using all of your senses to enjoy it *wink*

But Joe had secrets of his own, a darkness that Maggie couldn’t break through. When something happens that throws them together, will she be able to tear down his barriers? Will he be able to make her understand who and what he is?

A good friend put the bug about Cleo Taurus’ works in my ear. And much as I respect my friend’s opinions, I was hesitant about short stories. Historically, they have left me suffering the pangs of Readerus-Interruptus. Turns out, I’ve been eating my words a lot lately…

Ms. Taurus is amazing at dropping you into the midst of a life story-in-progress, and yet having you hit the ground running. In “The Arrangement” between Dom Joe and sub Maggie, we find injured and paraplegic veteran Maggie reclaiming an essential part of her being through the considered Domination of accident-scarred Joe. Their weekly private play arrangement at Joe’s Club suits both of their needs for a D/s dynamic, but away from eyes that may judge.

In a beautifully woven course, this story gently, almost unconsciously reminds the reader that real life can and does happen in many and varied configurations. But what struck me, personally, was how well these inspirational lives came together in this book, without a sermon in sight; kudos on that alone. The relationship/love story struck all the right “story chords”, and in a nice change of pace, did so with nary a murderous, vengeful ‘ex’, or other insipid obstacles to cloud its evolution.

This is a really beautiful story. Straightforward and unencumbered by white noise, like all good short stories are. These are tangible characters living real lives and making it work for them.

I admit to hoping for a bit more flesh on the ending, though the eye-intercourse alluded to between “Nurse Nancy” (was that deliberate, do you suppose?) and aide Max, hints that there may also be progress updates for the HEA reached by Maggie and Joe and their Arrangement.

It’s not just the touch; Raffe makes him feel things he never knew existed. So when Raffe pulls away, not only does Torin not understand… it’s not allowed.

This is my original review of Quantum Mates – What Torin Wants. I have added a couple paragraphs at the end because Princess SO has added to this great story.

Not twins, not siblings but more.

I don’t usually read sci-fi but Talon P.S. and Princess SO have caught my attention. So I figured I would give it a try. So glad I did!

TorinLee Riley, Torin has never known touch except for the touch of his other half and that of Don’tah, who had been a guardian/parent since birth. This sounds like a terrible way to live, it is even against the law to touch TorinLee, but the young adapt and accept this. Enter Raffe a pilot whose life changed drastically after a rescue mission to help a ship in a Nebula storm. To touch or be touched by them will cause serious injury or death.

Yep you are probably thinking the same as me here. Any good Author would not leave a loved character to a life like this. Raffe is totally taken with Torin. He knows that not only is Torin’s touch dangerous but so is his and why. Raffe decides to take the risk to feel touch once more and opens a world up for TorinLee that has been forbidden.

But in Zero Space the opportunity to sate ones love, passion and lust are limited. What happens when others see that what once was forbidden and supposedly dangerous might not be? Oh yea did I mention that Torin’s other half is Lee, his maiden half. Together they are TorinLee. Complication? Maybe, Maybe not. I’ll leave that up to you. *wink*

Princess SO has given this story a revamp and has added to the story! What she has added gives us the reader a better understanding of what Torin’s life was like before Raffe took a chance. The added story also lets us see and feel what Torin now has the chance to experience. We may not remember our first touch but we do remember the first touch of the one we not only love but who also loves us.

Princess SO has used the stroke of her pen to bring those feelings to life not only for Torin but for us as well. The sensations and emotions he has at the first brush of Raffe’s hand along his arm, neck and face. The feeling of being held by the one you want while you lay in bed. His first kiss. While Torin is feeling all of this for the first time, Raffe is feeling them for the first time with the man he loves. These are all the best feelings a person can have. They are not the only feelings that are put into words. There are also the feelings of loss or the chance of losing this wonderful new world Raffe has opened up.

Quantum Mates – What Torin Wants was a wonderful read in its first version. These added scenes and words do not change that in the least. They only help convey the authors desire for you the reader to fully grasp what Torin and Raffe have lived without and now can have with each other.

If you have already read this story get the updated version. If you haven’t read it yet, enjoy it for the first time just like Torin

PARTNERS IN CRIME is the initial offering of a pair of writers, Maureen Downey and Alison Greene. And I can safely say from my perspective, and I think I’m a pretty picky reader, that they have busted their book cherry in fine style.

I am in love with this story. I am in love with these characters, and their quirks, and their humour. The suspense aspect of the tale is spot-on in terms of real-deal-feel, and engagement, and scope. If you are a fan of Shannon McKenna-esque erotic-romantic-suspense, then this will feel like home. Every. Bit. As. Good.

The baddie was intentionally obvious, but everything else was up for grabs. And trust me, you will be grabbing at straws. In hindsight, the suspense plot was absolutely tortuous in its path, and clever in its ability to make you THINK you know what is going to happen. You don’t.

Nicely intertwined was the (exquisitely) hot and heavy physical relationship that only grudgingly engendered deeper emotion due to very understandable obstacles, trust issues, and things that went “boom” in the night. I refuse to spoil the experience by giving more detail…

The mix flows beautifully and believably, and blended further with well-paced humour and strong primary and secondary characters, it makes for an excellent, satisfying read. If I have an issue, and it’s a small one, it’s that, in a story filled with wonderful unpredictability, the epilogue seemed…uncharacteristically foreseeable in plot and sedate in character. Having said that, the read is fun, the hook is firmly planted, and the door is left tantalizingly open to further tales of derring-do.

A hearty recommend; you can’t go wrong…
