A Note to Blog Post Subscribers

Blog

On the advice of my new web host, I am (reluctantly) making a change in the method blog subscribers receive my posts via email. The plugin that I have been using apparently chews up too many resources.

I’m sure there are going to be a few unexpected steps I must take or changes I must make to the way I have done things. The Books Authors Read | Kellie Coates Gilbert

Kellie Coates Gilbert spent nearly twenty-five years working in courtrooms and behind the scenes of some of the largest and most well-known cases in America. Kellie was one of the lead paralegals in the Jack-in-the-Box litigation, where uncooked hamburger resulted in the deaths of several toddlers and made many more critically ill, which is now the subplot of her soon-to-be-released WHERE RIVERS PART from Baker Publishing/Revell. Her books not only explore the heart issues that matter most to...

I have had a rather chaotic week. After two weeks of website hassles (my own and the blog I handle for a group of writers, Inspired by Life and Fiction), I made the decision to do migrations for both of the sites. In some ways it went smoothly. In others, not so much.

On Monday, my Varidesk arrived. It’s a set up that allows me to change from sitting to standing and back again while at the computer. And as m...

Spotlight: The Trouble with Patience by Maggie Brendan

The Trouble with Patience by Maggie Brendan

THE TROUBLE WITH PATIENCE

byMaggie Brendan

Patience Cavanaugh has lost hope in romance. The man she yearned to marry is dead and her dreams are gone with him. Now she is consumed with the restoration of a dilapidated boardinghouse in order to support herself.

Despite Patience’s desire for solitude, Jedediah Jones, the local marshal with a reputation for hanging criminals, becomes an ever-looming part of her life. It seems like such a simple arrangement: She needs someone with a strong back to he...

Love on the MendLOVE ON THE MEND

by Karen Witemeyer

After serving as a doctor during the War Between the States, Jacob Sadler wants nothing more than to establish a quiet country practice in rural Texas. To that end, he accepts a job in Cold Spring, Texas–the town he’s avoided for seventeen years–and discovers his past is definitely still alive and kicking.

When a new doctor arrives in town and saves her brother’s leg, Mollie Tate quickly...

Meek and Mild MEEK AND MILD

by Olivia Newport

The leadership in an Old Order Amish community requires shunning friends and family whose only offense is to embrace the new Protestant practice of Sunday school among the Mennonites, but teaching Bible stories to children is one of Clara Kuhns’ great joys. Clara’s on the verge of saying yes to Andrew Raber’s marriage proposal, but now he is flagrantly refusing to submit to the bishop’s authority by owning a car. When the lot falls to Moses Beachy to become the n...
