FRC: Gay weddings make straight soldiers cry
To properly denounce lesbian veterans who are lucky enough to find love, the ever-adult Family Research Council chose to run a graphic of a male soldier with a tear running down his face:
(arrow is mine)
[Full hit piece here]
Could be tears of joy, I guess. I mean, I cried like a baby at my own wedding. Emotional stuff, that.
Although something tells me reverence for the day was not FRC's intended takeaway. Not sure what makes me say that. Must be their decades of daily derision for people who ar...

Org. with one of worst electoral track records of 2012 seeks more money
They lost fights in four states, virtually all of the candidates the supported on the national stage lost their races, and their side has already lost on Prop 8 and DOMA in lower courts. But for those of you who didn't bet on Powerball, NOM has another way you can blow some cash:
[NOM]
Wow, another nameless, faceless generous donor who has promised to match funds? Funny how those pop out of the woodwork every year around this time.

While opponents portray our unions as jalopies, we take a 'JET'
Congrats to Ravi, Paris, JET, and all of us:
JET Magazine, the nation’s preeminent African-American biweekly magazine, in its December 10th issue, featured Dr. Ravi Perry and Paris Prince as part of its December JET LOVE wedding series.

Peter LaBarbera: Bill O'Reilly too pro-gay, probably has a gay producer
Audio: Conservative Republican Brian Brown mines DOMA hope out of Roberts' Obamacare opinion; that's silly
Over the past year, the National Organization for Marriage has become a full-blown GOP organization, so I'm not surprised to hear president Brian Brown snickering at the idea that Chief Justice John Roberts went "over to the Dark Side" with his Obamacare ruling. However, if Brian is turning to what Roberts wrote in that opinion for insight into what might happen in the pending Defense of Marriage Act cases, he might want to read a little more closely. First the clip:
Brian is likely mining ho...
Video: If deceased generals' graves are a-rockin', must be Pat Robertson doing some anti-gay knockin'
Dead army guys can barely contain themselves:
Personally, I think our ability to order pizza from our phone apps would shock them more.

Video: Schubert, Dwyer, Peters defend history's wrong side on spin-friendly CBN
Even the Christian Broadcasting anchor asks if maybe Thomas Peters and his employer, National Organization For Marriage, are trying to "stop an avalanche with a picket fence." Yet Thomas, along with extremely anti-gay Maryland legislator Don Dwyer and the mastermind of all four losing state battles, Frank Schubert, stand strong in their defense of history's wrong side.

Ellen + 'Merry Christmas' = a great AFA paradox
The American Family Association has pushed two big causes over the past twelve months: (1) Working as hard they could to persuade JC Penney (or JCP, as it's becoming known) to fire out lesbian Ellen DeGeneres and (2) Attacking any retailer not named Chick-fil-a that uses "holiday" rather than "Christmas." So this new ad must really lead to conflict within the Tupelo offices:
An out lesbian and a full-throated "Merry Christmas"? Whatever will they do?!
Meanwhile, the AFA's beloved Chick-fil-A co...
Doc tease: SCOTUS puts off marriage cases; possibly Friday
Just like on Friday, we all waited this morning for some sort of action on the marriage cases pertaining to Prop 8 and DOMA. And once again, nothing.
I'm hearing we might know something on Friday. Until then, go back to debating and/or adjudicating the "War on Christmas."
