Here's to a reverent Transgender Day of Remembrance #TDOR
Video: Two grown adults try to turn LGBT people's relatives against them this Thanksgiving
Gays are disordered, we threaten liberty, we're against Christians, and many of us need to be "changed" after we are molested by a "Jerry Sandusky–like figure." That's how Liberty Counsel and Liberty University personalities Mat Staver and Matt Barber are choosing to denigrate us today:
They have to tire of these same deceptively spun scenarios at some point, right? Or do we think they'll continue this peculiar hobby long after our inevitable victory is achieved?

New ridiculous talking point: More out gays = less credibility for science of sexual orientation
Since 1994, the cultural landscape for LGBT people has changed in a seismic way. For the better. It doesn't take a politically active Mensa member to understand why now, in a world where LGBT people can (soon) marry in nine states and a celebrity coming out is more likely to be met with a yawn than with a Time magazine cover, more LGBT people are dropping the shackles that previously held them back.
At least that's what I think. The Family

Photos: Bryan Fischer, dapper young thing
These days, he's known for saying some of the most jaw-droppingly incendiary things imaginable. But get a load of the eighteen-year-old who graduated from his Fresno high school in the year of '69. The current American Family Association spokesman was quite the stylemaker, from the looks of it:
The others couldn't help but admire his form:
But careful with those eyes, guys. Leer too much and he might try to exorcise your gay demon.

…let us all remember that this organization, the Illinois Family Institute, believes two key things that many who are involved in the fight will try to deny. The IFI's chief thinker, Laurie Higgins, lays it out in a new pamphlet called "Marriage is Not A Civil Right."
#1: The IFI does not stop at just marriage. Left to its own unchecked agenda, this organization would also go after adoption rights:

UPS picked peace; if U Pick Stigmatization, that's on you!
Over on the American Family Association's pretend news site, Peter LaBarbera makes a really interesting distinction that I'm sure makes sense to him. I, however, would argue that it helps us instead. Take a look and then I'll come back to you:
Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH) explains that under pressure from homosexual activists, the United Parcel Service is telling all prospective grantees they will have to check a box to declare that they do not discriminat...
Basically, the whole marriage inequality game is crashing. Hard.
NOM's disturbing attempt to "drive a wedge between black and gays" is really not working. Nice report from the San Francisco Chronicle's Bob Egelko:
Black support for gay marriage growing [SFGate]
I, for one, cannot wait for this "conventional wisdom" and its associated media coverage to fall away. Its overstatement and deliberate cultivation have been among the more disturbing elements of this whole marriage debate.

Because of course they are:

In a related story, ADF will soon tell McDonald's fry cooks that their employment contracts have a loophole allowing them to take a break whenever the boiling grease too closely resemble's hell's fiery lakes.
