Title: Kiro's Emily (Rosemary Beach)Author: Abbi GlinesPublisher: Atria Books (December 15, 2014)Goodreads
Amazon
The year is 1992, and no one on the rock music scene is hotter than Kiro Manning, the lead singer of Slacker Demon. With a multi-platinum record, total ownership of the Billboard charts, sold-out concerts, and sinful amounts of money, Kiro can have anything—and anyone—he wants.
So when a dark-haired, conservative beauty rebuffs him at a concert after-party, his first thought is, “Who the hell does she think she is?” His second thought: “How do I make her mine?” Kiro has always loved a good challenge, but not every girl wants to get involved with a rock god. Especially this girl.
He let her go that night, but he never forgot her. And when they met again, he vowed not to give up again so easily.
As the world worshipped Kiro, he came to worship the girl, who became everything he never knew he needed. The only girl he would ever love. His Emily.

EXCERPTKiro
I
knocked on the door, trying hard not to be pissed that this piece of shit
apartment complex with no fucking security was Emmy’s home. This wasn’t where
I’d been picturing her. And I pictured her a fucking lot. Waiting
with my hands tucked in the pockets of my jeans, I was trying to remain calm.
But fuck it all, I had been waiting to see her face for months. Every time I
heard her voice my entire body went on high alert. I couldn’t rein in its
attraction to Emmy. I
heard a chain sliding out of the lock as the door swung open, revealing her in
a pair of tiny little shorts and a camisole. Her hair was tangled and her
gorgeous eyes were wide. “Kiro,”
she said, unable to hide the grin that lit up her face. It was midnight. I had
changed my flight from London to come here instead of Los Angeles. I didn’t
fucking miss my house. I only missed one thing while on tour, and it was this
face. Fuck me. “I
wake you up, angel?” I asked, stepping into her apartment with my hands still
firmly stuck in the pockets of my jeans. I didn’t trust them around Emily. They
wanted to touch her. It
was then I realized she had just crawled out of bed. Her hands went to her hair
as she ran her fingers through the strands, trying to tame them. But I liked it
just the way it was. “I…
you’re here. At my apartment.” She sounded flustered. Then her nose scrunched
up and she frowned. “Oh wait. I’m asleep. This is a dream.” Her face fell. Fuck
it! I took my hands out of my pockets and wrapped her in my arms. She inhaled
deeply as I held her to my chest. “I’m real and you’re very awake,” I told her,
unable to keep the thickness out of my throat. She got to me. She was fucking
with my head. Seriously fucking with it. “You
feel real.” Her arms came around my waist. I
closed my eyes and soaked her in. Pressing a kiss to the top of her head, I
stood there with her in my arms as long as she would let me. Hell, I would’ve
stood there all damn night if she wanted me to. “I
thought you’d be ready to go home. Aren’t you homesick?” she asked, tilting her
head back to look up at me. “I
was only missing one thing, angel. And it wasn’t in fucking L.A.” I winked as I
cupped her face and felt her soft skin under my thumbs as I brushed her
cheekbones. She
frowned a moment. “Do you mean me?” I
hauled her against me and lifted her inches off the floor as I took the few
strides to the sofa and sank down with her in my lap. She didn’t pull away, and
God, that felt good. “So fucking sweet,” I murmured as I stared down into her
face. I hadn’t made this shit up. She was better than I remembered. Fuck, she
was so much better. That voice had gotten me through the tour.

Release & Giveaway: Inspire
We are so incredibly excited to be able to bring you the Release Day Launch for Cora Carmack's INSPIRE! INSPIRE is a New Adult Paranormal Romance novel and the first book in her new Muse Series!! Holy canoli, y'all. Go out and get this today!
Amazon | Barnes & Noble | iTunes | Kobo About INSPIRE:
Kalliope lives with one purpose.
To inspire.
As an immortal muse, she doesn’t have any other choice. It’s part of how she was made. Musicians, artists, actors—they use her to advance their art, and she uses them to survive. She moves from one artist to the next, never staying long enough to get attached. But all she wants is a different life— a normal one. She’s spent thousands of years living lie after lie, and now she’s ready for something real.
Sweet, sexy, and steady, Wilder Bell feels more real than anything else in her long existence. And most importantly… he’s not an artist. He doesn’t want her for her ability. But she can’t turn off the way she influences people, not even to save a man she might love. Because in small doses, she can help make something beautiful, but her ability has just as much capacity to destroy as it does to create. The longer she stays, the more obsessed Wilder will become. It’s happened before, and it never turns out well for the mortal.
Her presence may inspire genius.
But it breeds madness, too.
Excerpt:
I can feel Wilder’s breath against my lips. More than that, I can see it. The sun has set and the temperature has dropped, and air fogs between us. There’s something about actually seeing it, like our lips are touching, we are touching, despite the distance between. And as we sway from side to side, my heart gradually begins to pick up speed.
The strains of guitar music flowing out from the restaurant are nearly indecipherable over the heavy heartbeat in my ears. But Wilder must hear it. His hands are strong on my body, guiding my movements, and I’m practically clay in his palms.
We dance, eyes on eyes, lips nearly on lips, and there is lightning beneath my skin each time his body brushes against mine in a new way. His touch is firm, but gentle, never pushing or pressuring, though I can tell from the dark look in his eyes that he’s just as affected as I am. The music shifts, building to a crescendo, and he spins us. My chest pushes tight against his, and I bite back a gasp. I don’t know if it’s the cold or him or some combination of both, but the tips of my breasts are painfully tight. Just the pressure of my bra is enough to rub them raw.
I remember the night at his apartment, the way he’d taken his time learning my body. I think of the heat of his mouth on my skin, and the memory alone is enough to make me shiver and clench.
He’s back to being business, grown-up Wilder tonight in his button down and glasses. Only now that I know him, it doesn’t seem like such a stark difference. He is neither the straight-laced man nor the tattooed bad boy. Or perhaps he’s both. Regardless of what he’s wearing, Wilder is caring and loyal and strong and so sexy that I’m having trouble remembering why I shouldn’t push him into the backseat of his SUV and crawl on top of him.

Book Review: Obsessed Series
Obsessed (Obsessed Series) by Deborah Bladon: THE COMPLETE OBSESSED SERIES
From Bestselling Contemporary Romance Author, Deborah Bladon
Finally, all four parts of The Obsessed Series in one bundle.
Obsessed - Part One
Independent jewelry designer, Ivy Marlow, had it all – the man, the security and the ring. Now, all she has to her name are a broken engagement, the crushing worry of a flailing business and the haunting feeling of complete betrayal.
The last thing Ivy expected to find attending a posh New York art show, was him. Jax Walker is everything she doesn’t need but can’t resist. He’s gorgeous, brazen, unapologetic and powerful. He becomes the escape Ivy has been craving and longing for. He knows what she needs, anticipates her desires and offers it all to her, but at what price?
What once seemed to be a chance encounter designed by fate becomes more enigmatic than the man himself. Jax is full of secrets and Ivy is about to learn that his obsession for her runs deeper and darker than she ever imagined.
Obsessed - Part Two
When Ivy first met Jax, she knew he was everything she wanted, but she didn't need. She couldn't have been more right. She thought she was done with the lies, the secrets and the betrayals, but her past is inescapable, no matter how hard she tries. That pain that she once thought was buried forever is slowly starting to resurface and it may just be too much for her already fragile heart to take.
If there's one thing that Ivy loves most about Jax, it's his relentless need for control. He does everything he can to win her back and to prove that there's more to him than his past demons. He swears he's a changed man, but can a man like Jax ever really change?
As Ivy begins to believe in Jax again, an unexpected secret tears her world apart. Past lovers return, schemes are exposed and Ivy is left standing in the center of it all.
Obsessed - Part Three
Ivy wanted Jax to be the man of her dreams. After all the lies, the mysteries and the manipulations she was ready to start on the path towards a new beginning. That all came to a crashing halt that blindsided them both. The images that flashed across his computer screen are burned forever in her memory. They're inescapable and the only way out of the darkness leads straight back to him.
She knows what she saw. He knows what he believes. Will his unending drive to possess her push her away forever?
As Ivy puts the pieces of her shattered life back together, she's confronted with a reality she never saw coming. Is she strong enough to find her way to the truth? And who will be waiting for her when she gets there?
Still Obsessed - Part Four
The end is here...
Life couldn't have been more idealistic for Ivy Marlow. She owned the business of her dreams, worked alongside the man she loved, and her future was bright and filled with unending promise. Looks can be deceiving though and as much as she loved her life, she knew that she and Jax Walker were destined for a collision course if something didn't change.
Destiny stepped in and one fateful night on a dark street, everyone's life transformed in a profound way. Ivy is tossed back into the past she thought was behind her and Jax is determined to reclaim what was rightfully his.
What neither of them could have predicted is that life doesn't let you plan your own course. Sometimes you have to let fate take you by the hand so you can find your true destiny. Is Ivy's future with Jax or will the ghosts of her past destroy them forever?
Lori's thoughts: This is the first book/series that I've read by Deborah Bladon. I kept seeing her books at the top of the bestseller list and thought I'd give one of them a try. I wanted to see how she did her series, since I'm working on one of my own. I went to her website and she has a reading order. She suggests to read the Obsessed series first. I bought the complete four book series on Amazon and read them back-to-back. I think that was the best way to do it, because I'm not sure I would have continued with the entire series if I would have had to wait for them to come out. I really enjoyed Ivy and Jax together, but separate, I'm not sure what I think. Jax seemed to be a bit stalker/creeper-like. And Ivy waffled from being strong to not so much. I did like the overall series, and will most likely read more work by this author in the near future.

Book Review: Since You've Been Gone
Since You've Been Gone by Mary Jennifer Payne: Is it possible to outrun your past? Fifteen-year-old Edie Fraser and her mother, Sydney, have been trying to do just that for five years. Now, things have gone from bad to worse. Not only has Edie had to move to another new school she's in a different country.
Sydney promises her that this is their chance at a fresh start, and Edie does her best to adjust to life in London, England, despite being targeted by the school bully. But when Sydney goes out to work the night shift and doesn't come home, Edie is terrified that the past has finally caught up with them.
Alone in a strange country, Edie is afraid to call the police for fear that she ll be sent back to her abusive father. Determined to find her mother, but with no idea where to start, she must now face the most difficult decision of her life."
Lori's thoughts: **Received ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.**
I really enjoyed reading about Edie. And this was a very promising storyline. I felt like there needed to be more. More about her dad. More about the bully at school. The character development could have been deeper. I wanted to know more about Edie's boyfriend. It felt like there were a lot of loose ends that just never went anywhere or were never tied up like they should have, or could have been. I'm still giving it four stars because I liked the book. I just wish there would have been more.

No Such Thing as Perfect was inspired by Sarah's Flowering series, but it stands completely alone as its own title. Cover Reveal & Giveaway: MILF
Title: MILF: Wrong Kind of Love
Author: Erin Noelle
Genre: Erotic Romance
Wrong Kind of Love
A story of forbidden love with a side of revenge...
When my husband of nearly twenty years abruptly left me for another woman, I thought my life was over.
But I was wrong...
Wrong for thinking I was weak, wrong for assuming I couldn't go on, wrong for believing I wouldn't love again.
No matter what anyone else thinks,
Wrong never felt so right.
It’s a little after eight when the sound of the front door closing wakes me up from the nap I wasn’t planning on taking. Apparently, doing absolutely nothing all day long is very exhausting.
I leap out of the bed and take a quick glimpse in the mirror, straightening my shirt and finger-styling my hair before heading downstairs. I’m honestly not sure what to expect from Mia, if she’ll pretend like nothing happened or want to address the situation, but her avoiding me and the house all day tells me she’s probably reluctant to let it transpire again.
I need to convince her otherwise.
With her back to me amidst a sea of overflowing plastic grocery bags, she’s bent over in the refrigerator, rearranging the contents to make room for the massive amount of food she’s just bought. The shirt she has on has ridden up on her hips, leaving me a clear view of her shapely ass which fills out the pair of black cotton shorts she’s wearing impeccably.
All of the blood in my body has redirected its flow to directly between my legs as I imagine what it’d be like to take her from behind… my hands grabbing hold of her hips, her back arched presenting that tight, wet pussy to me. Fuck, I can’t go up to her with my shorts tented out like it’s housing a three-ring circus.
“I know you’re there, Gray,” she announces before I can escape back to the safety of my room. “We need to talk.”
Talking wasn’t really what I had in mind, but I can work with it.
I slowly inch my way farther into the kitchen, trying desperately to think of all things non-sexy such as yield return graphs and profit-loss spreadsheets, but with her head buried in the fridge and her ass still in the air, I’m failing epically.
“Yeah?” I don’t mean for it to come out like a question, so I clear my throat and try again. “Yeah, we do.”
Straightening to her full height, which can’t be more than about five-foot-five, she gradually rotates around to face me. With her firm rear no longer in my line of sight, my eyes travel up her body, lingering over her erect nipples straining against the light blue shirt, which cause me to wonder if it’s the cold air they were just exposed to or my presence that has them aroused.
My eyes eventually find hers, and no matter what words are about to leave her mouth, I know by the heated gaze she’s watching me with—the one that’s relishing the way I’m eye-fucking her—that she wants this as bad as I do.
Gaining confidence, my small steps graduate into long strides until I’ve closed the distance between us in a matter of seconds. She backs up slightly, but with the large stainless appliance behind her, she’s got nowhere to go. I wait to touch her, wait until she says whatever bullshit nonsense she’s got to say to make herself feel better, before I lay my hands on her and make her forget about whatever stupid-ass, preconceived set of rules society has put on our relationship.
Truth is I’m a man, she’s a woman, neither of us is married, and we aren’t blood-related, so as far as I’m concerned, we’re good to fucking go.
Erin Noelle is a Texas native, where she lives with her husband and two young daughters. Amazon ** Barnes and Noble ** iBooks ** Kobo
WICKED Synopsis:
Things are about to get Wicked in New Orleans.
Twenty-two year old Ivy Morgan isn’t your average college student. She, and others like her, know humans aren’t the only thing trolling the French Quarter for fun… and for food. Her duty to the Order is her life. After all, four years ago, she lost everything at the hands of the creatures she’d sworn to hunt, tearing her world and her heart apart.
Ren Owens is the last person Ivy expected to enter her rigidly controlled life. He’s six feet and three inches of temptation and swoon-inducing charm. With forest-green eyes and a smile that’s surely left a stream of broken hearts in its wake, he has an uncanny, almost unnatural ability to make her yearn for everything he has to offer. But letting him in is as dangerous as hunting the cold-blooded killers stalking the streets. Losing the boy she loved once before had nearly destroyed her, but the sparking tension that grows between them becomes impossible for Ivy to deny. Deep down, she wants… she needs more than what her duty demands of her, what her past has shaped for her.
But as Ivy grows closer to Ren, she realizes she’s not the only one carrying secrets that could shatter the frail bond between them. There’s something he’s not telling her, and one thing is for certain. She’s no longer sure what is more dangerous to her—the ancient beings threatening to take over the town or the man demanding to lay claim to her heart and her soul.

He left me standing there as he disappeared into the bathroom, and I tried to make sense of what just happened. All I knew was that the punch-in-the-chest sadness that came whenever I thought of Shaun wasn’t there. And I didn’t know what to make of that.Or anything.Taking a deep breath, I put my clothes on his dresser and all but dashed into the bed, and good Lord, the mattress was comfy! I scooted to the middle and froze, having no idea what side he slept on or if he had a side. I totally had a side—always the furthest away from closet doors because I was a dork. Straightening the shirt out so my undies weren’t saying hi to the world, I tugged the blanket up to my hips and lay flat on my back.I so needed an adult to explain to me what the hell I was supposed to do from this point on.There wasn’t much time to stress over it because Ren returned from the bathroom. His ever-present half grin spread as he saw me. I clutched the blanket, my breath caught in my throat. My heart pounded so fast that I wondered if I was going to have a heart attack, and God, wouldn’t that be embarrassing. I swallowed nervously and willed my heart to slow.Turning off the lamp, shadows fell around Ren, but when he faced me, I could tell that he’d frozen. I couldn’t make out his expression as he bent, taking a hold of the covers on his side.“Ivy?”“Hmm?”He slowly edged the covers back from his side and climbed in, and although I couldn’t make out his eyes, I knew he was watching me. “I’m happy that you’re here.”My fingers eased off the blanket. As he stretched out beside me, my eyes adjusted to the lack of light, and I could see that he was smiling. “Are you?”“Yeah,” I whispered.“Good. That’s all I wanted to hear.”Wow, the warmth that flooded my chest could’ve turned me into a puddle of goo in that bed. I waited for him to make a move on me, but seconds ticked by. He seriously was behaving himself. I dared a quick peek at him, and found I could not look away.Ren lifted his arm closest to me, and a heartbeat passed. I hesitated for a moment, and then, my heart pounding even more, I slid over until my leg brushed his. He curved his arm around my waist and drew me up against his side, guiding me down until I was nestled against his warm, bare chest. Another moment passed and then I lowered my cheek, and the simple pleasure of lying like this nearly broke me right open.
