For me, the hardest part was making sure the towns were distinct. South Cove - the Tourist Trap town, is all about the businesses. And a lot of people live in apartments in their buildings. Tea Cups and Carnage, the newest book opens a new business on Main Street.

In my new series, The Cat Latimer mysteries, it's all about the neighborhoods. Large, old houses, a small college campus, and a town that survives because of it. Not to mention the mountains surrounding the area and the winter fun opportunities.

I write small town stories, but all small towns aren't the same. (less)

Writing Letters to Santa

When did you stop writing Christmas letters to Santa? Eight? Twelve? Fifteen? Or do you still write the Jolly Old Elf a letter every year? I'm writing him a letter this year. Not because I need a new toy or a new kitchen appliance, but instead, I need to put my wants and dreams out into the universe. And there's no one better with dreams than St. Nick. Dear Santa, This year I'm hoping that a susta Read more of this blog post »

I'm glad you're enjoying the Survivors' Book Club series. I don't live in the Sedona area, but I do live in a mountainous area. I love adding hikes to real spots so Archer and Rarity can have a moment together.
A Change of Heart by Sonali Dev
"This is not a fun book to read. Aside from a few minor characters, no one in the story is likeable. The two main villains, however, are exquisitely evil and very well described. I would sum this story up as one of selfishness. Nikhil is so saturated " Read more of this review »

“If you hold anger in your heart, it just turns to evil. You have to be able to see the good in people, even those people in whom you think there isn’t even a speck of good left.”
Lynn Cahoon, Killer Run

“I think any reading is good reading, even if it's commercial fiction. A good story well told is worth the time”
Lynn Cahoon, If the Shoe Kills

“As much as I loved my computer, I wondered if I would ever know the joy of getting a letter from someone I loved, being able to pour over its contents time and time again, to feel the paper that he touched, and to know he took the time to share his day.”

“I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.”

I'm doubly honoured that the career person of my dreams, should connect with me. :) Wow, if your work is available as physical books, I would add it to my wish list. You have a vast suite!
