Glazed Lemon Pound Cake
The sun is shining bright outside my kitchen window. And, as I watch the snow begin to melt off the roof of my garden shed, I'm reminded of all the reason's that I get excited at the signs that spring is near!!!

It is a whopping 35 degrees here today-and tomorrow's high is expected to be in the 40's!!!! This sudden heatwave has me feeling giddy with spring fever, and the old wheels of inspiration turning wildly in my head!!!

Friday Flea Market Finds!
It was a bit 'dicey' on the way home yesterday!!!! The wind was whipping up all the snow pretty good-which caused major drifts. (not good for driving!) But...I finally arrived home! YIPPEE!!! I sure did miss this old house!!! And it was a GREAT pleasure to sleep in our own bed again!!!

Trader Joes is the perfect ending to my mini-vacation!
Well, it's my final day babysitting the grand babies! It has been a great 'mini' vacation-filled with many snuggles-a little shopping-and trying to get used to someone else doing the cooking!!!! But..truth be told- I'm really excited to head home tomorrow! Homemade Chicken Pot Pie
There is something about sub zero temperatures and comfort food, that just seem to go hand in hand. Take tonight for example. It's -9 degrees outside!!!! The weatherman said that we've hit record temps and snowfall this winter. Really???? No way!
